Went In to see if they could fix a pair of nice sunglasses (that I didn’t even buy from them). They fixed them quickly by replacing a screw and gave them back free of charge. Felt leaving a nice review was the least I could do. These guys are great and very friendly.

We love going to Eye Care One in Norton Shores. My son always enjoys going to his eye appts all because Dr. Burmeister and his team really make him feel comfortable and really engage with him on a personal level. Great place!

Their customer service was amazing. Everybody was polite and nice. Christina is awesome. The doctor was great as well. He didn’t seem overwhelmed he took his time with my daughter great eye doctor.

The only thing that deserved a star was the Dr who did the exam. The staff basically ignored me. None were really interested in helping to fit or give an opinion on the glasses I was considering. They also tried to send me out without my trial contacts, even with cash they didnt care about someone without a commercial insurance.

They took extremely good care of me. The doctor went out of his way to explain in theory why certain eye illness happened to ppl and what I could do to lessen my chances. Everyone was very kind and patient. The office was very clean and Covid aware. They also had a discount/coupon thing for me since I don’t have eye insurance. Highly recommend.

They have a great team...very nice experience from the eye exam to picking out glasses to being fitted...everyone is very helpful and make sure you’re completely satisfied before walking out the door...thank you!

The dr I had did many things to help me. He was very informative and explained everything in ways I could understand. polite and very helpful staff.

Eye Care One customer care all the way to the 10 and more they made sure everything was done orally and safe for each and every customer and for the eye exam I felt very comfortable and I was not rushed through they took the time so I know they would do just as well with children Im an older lady yes I am but I was just thankful and grateful for the care they took with me until everything was done and I walked out the door and I was very happy and pleased with everything that was done thank you Eye Care One for the respect that you give each and every customer

Dr. Burmeister is the ONLY doctor I trust with my vision. Even after moving to Metro Detroit, I still see him. After seeing 2 different doctors over here, both of whom put me in contacts I couldnt see from, the 2 and a half hour drive is worth it. Dr. Burmeister has an innate ability, and extensive knowledge to correct vision. His staff is wonderful and caring. It shows Dr. Burmeisters skill and compassion the second you call or walk in to have assembled such a strong team. On my last visit I asked him to please give me plenty of warning if he retires; but, he assured me it wouldnt be anytime soon. Incredible people and professionalism.

Had a horribly humiliating, discriminatory experience here.Heres what happened. I was in the market for a new pair of glasses when my wife called Eye Care One and asked about what our new vision insurance (that we got from her job) covered and what it it didnt. The receptionist ran our insurance info and mentioned that it was accepted and then told her (my wife) directly on the phone what was covered, howd it work, xyz. Everything was fine.I havent mentioned the fact that my wife and I are both African American. (Which really isnt of any importance but in this case it directly affected my experience there.)So the following day, I make a trip over to Eye Care One to see about getting a new pair of glasses. Mind you, up until this point there was no issues. Immediately upon entering I was met by the receptionist (the same one who talked to my wife the day earlier) who who was very hostile and defensive in her conduct towards me. Initially she did not speak, but after attempting to browse she spoke as if she was trying to make me aware of the fact that she was watching me. Very frustrating.So finally after about 5 minutes I approached the receptionist and asked her to verify what options I had available with the insurance that we have through my wifes job. She took the card, tap a few keys on here computer and then proceeded to tell me that they do not accept our insurance. THE SAME EXACT INSURANCE INFORMATION MY WIFE GAVE HER AND SHE WAS ABLE TO GET QUOTES FOR IS NO LONGER ACCEPTED WITHIN A 24 HOUR TIME FRAME?!Needless to say that I was very annoyed with her. I then brought up the fact that my wife spoke with her on the phone yesterday about our plan, she ran the info, no problems. Even went as far as explaining what options we had, but now you dont accept my insurance? She told me that I can talk to I guess whoever in customer service about what happened but that there was nothing she could do. At that point I knew what time it was, its not that my insurance was bad. If that was the case she would have told us yesterday. They didnt want to deal with me.I spoke no further, smiled and asked for my info back, and headed out the door to my laptop to order my glasses online.Bottom line, if you look a certain way (i.e. black) be prepared to get the run around if any service at all. Do yourself a favor and do not spend your money here!
