The shop is very impressive and my 1998 Jeep Cherokee now runs better than it has in years! I know now where l will be going for any of my vehicles. I can see easily the shop knows exactly what they are doing and the front office made me feel very welcome and l was well informed on the progress and cost.

First of all, I was charged for a/c diagnostic that Jerry himself told me he never got to. He was unable to perform the service I needed yet charged for hrs of work with no resolution. To top it off they parked my Mercedes under a pine tree and baked sap all over my clear coat.Marcella Elliott

My best friend used this business multiple times to repair his car. The problem was never fixed so he took it elsewhere and they fixed the issue that was never addressed before. A refund was supposedly issued but then canceled later!!! How shady can you be? To offer a (partial) refund in services that did not meet standards and then cancel it later! Highly unprofessional.

My wife and I had a camping trip coming up in a week and I was checking our our 2010 Chevrolet Suburban we use as our RV tow vehicle before the trip. I found the front differential leaking fluid and parts missing from the front torsion suspension. Took the vehicle to Jerry Potts Care Care Center late in the day on a Tuesday evening. Out camping trip was scheduled to leave town on the following Monday. Jerry reviewed the vehicle on Wednesday and thought he could repair the leaking front transaxle installing new seals and needed bearings instead of purchasing a rebuilt unit. Since they had the vehicle in the shop, I also asked them to drain the transmission fluid and change the transmission filter/fluid. Upon their inspection, they suggested that the back brakes needed to be replaced as they were at the last 25% of their safe use. I agreed to the repairs and they had my vehicle back to me by Thursday afternoon. The price was reasonable for the repairs and service. We made a 1,750 mile trip the following week, that also included using the 4 wheel drive in the snow/ice on top of Monteagle Mountain. The vehicle performed flawlessly during our trip. I thought I would need to be in a rush to replace this vehicle, but with the repairs, I can take my time to find the perfect tow vehicle for our needs. Jerry Potts has worked on other of my vehicles in the past, a 1996 Suburban, the 2010 Suburban recently, and my sons 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Their parking lot is always full and in this case, it indicates that they are a trusted automotive repair shop and turn vehicles around quickly. Other shops that have the parking lot full, usually have vehicles waiting for parts or they do not have the time to make the proper repairs. I usually try and do all of my vehicles routine maintenance, but now that Im retired, I think Ill be outsourcing these repairs to Jerry Potts Car Care Center in the future. Theyll earn your repeat business if you give them a try.

They replaced the engine in my daughters Mini Cooper and have performed several diagnostics tests and repairs on my sons 2005 Honda Accord. Not only do they do great work, Mr. Potts took the time to explain what needed to be done and why in terms that a non-mechanic can understand.

I always take my European-made car to Jerry Potts because they are experts in foreign auto repair and their repair charges are fair. I also take my car to Jerry Potts because it is family-owned and family-runned. I feel that they have my best interest in mind so that I will continue to be a return customer. A shout out to the professionalism and concern for my teen daughters vehicle. I had originally reached out to Jerry Potts regarding the issue with the catalytic converter. The car had been to another shop and previously was diagnosed with something else and I paid out a significant amount of money for the repair, but within two weeks had the check engine light back on. I reached out to Jerry Potts and spoke with Stacy, who was wonderful to work with. I was treated with respect, and felt that the service, cost and turnaround time was great. I would recommend this company to my friends and family members.

Professional people yes but very dishonest and will rip you off. They will fix anything you tell them but not look for the problem that is very minor and will cost you $$$. Please do yourself a favor and do not go to this business. Another thing is who charges $102.00 for a diagnostic check if you can get one for free at any auto part store?

Great place. They went above and beyond and diagnosed and confirmed a factory warranty claim with the manufacturer and set up an appointment to get it handled at my local dealership. They made the initial contact with the dealer and made the dealership verbally confirm with me that I was covered and set up my appointment. On another occasion with a different vehicle, they went above and beyond to confirm with autozone that a very odd battery cell failure should be replaced and handled it all. Five stars from me.

Jerry has been in business for a long time and does a good job.

We took our vehicles to Jerry for years, but we kept having problems with things he fixed - as in the AC would quit working 6 less than 6 months after fixing it. The power steering started leaking again 6 months after it being fixed. When we went to complain & ask him to fix it properly then his younger daughter (who parks in their handicapped parking spaces even though she is obviously not handicapped) argued about everything to the point that she was beyond rude - quite obnoxious actually - I asked to speak to Jerry.I explained the situation to Jerry, and he said that it wasnt his fault that our cars are old & keep breaking down & he shouldnt be responsible... But come on - these are Hondas, & the power steering is leaking from seals that were not installed properly, or possibly at all - it looked like they were super old... Seals & hoses should last more than a few months. After talking to him for some time explaining that my husband insisted on using him & how loyal weve been he reluctantly agreed to fix the power steering again & we pay only parts. We payed $200 for a seal & hose- pretty costly for a seal & hose - nearly 6 months later again & guess what... Power steering is leaking again.We wont be using him again. Terrible service. Worst Ive EVER seen. That daughter would have been fired from anywhere else talking to someone like she did - no wonder she works for her dad. The work done is obviously shady if it breaks down again after 6 months especially when it is just seals & hoses. Its even possible it is the mechanics fault since Jerry doesnt do the actual work. But youd think hed care enough to listen to his long time clients that theres something going on... But getting him to do anything was like pulling teeth. Plus $200 for a hose & seal? Those had better be at least silver plated!!To sum it up - bad service, poor workmanship & exorbitant prices will keep us away.

Jerry Potts worked a miracle: I drove down to Chattanooga right after I picked up my car and a hose was twisted in my brake line upon the repair. I had to pull over on the side of the highway 100 miles from home becouse my brake locked up. I called Jerry Potts and asked if they would help. They covered the cost of the tow truck, they made sure I skipped the line at a repair shop in Chattanooga and they paid for the fix on the twisted line. In and out. Im sure that would not have happend with many other repair shops! Good prices and worth going tp!

DO NOT use this company! My mom took her car for a break job, they put the brakes back on wrong, and her car was totaled on the interstate on 24 on the way home from the shop after they locked up while driving. The owner’s insurance company ONLY paid her deductible and refuses to give back the $700 she paid for a brake job that TOTALED HER CAR And could have killed her. The owner refuses to speak to her to try and resolve this. NOBODY should do business with this “company”. They don’t stand by their work. Disgusting!

TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!! (If you dont want to die that is). For the sake of anonymity, I will only say that I am a former customer and bought a used car from Jerry in the past. This guy is a cheat and a liar and if you don’t know about cars, he will sell you a car that is falling apart. This is a guy with a lot of about 20 cars, and a few mechanics; he knows damn well what problems these cars have and has no problem selling it to you anyway, as a “well maintained, refurbished, and repaired used car”.While Jerry was selling me the car, he would not let me take it somewhere else to have a diagnosis. He assured me that it had been serviced fully by his “master mechanics” and that it would pass inspection just fine, and he said that he had REPLACED the timing belt (it was a high mileage car), and the tires. None of this was true. It cost me $3000 to pass inspection after purchasing the car. Even though I have only used the car lightly (~6000 miles) there have been numerous other problems, many costing $1000+ to fix.My car recently broke down while driving on the highway. I COULD HAVE DIED, because of Jerry’s shotty “refurbishing” -- if you can even call it that. On that day, I was on the highway during rush hour and my timing belt snapped. My car suddenly lost acceleration and the undercarriage started smoking badly. The repair shop (dealer recommended) I towed to said that they could clearly tell that the belt was either of ridiculously poor quality or had not been replaced as Jerry said. There were also more than 10 other serious problems with the car - e.g. broken head gasket, intake valves, exhausted valves, thermostat, spark plugs, rear main seal, etc... They also told me that “this car should not have been resold, it is very bad, and it looks like it has never been maintained.”  Now I am getting $300 to trade in this POS and I’m glad to be rid of it and I strongly recommend that you DO NOT BUY FROM JERRY POTTS EVER EVER EVER!!
