I had an excellent experience with this mechanic company. After being told by my dealership that it would be AT LEAST one month before they could even run diagnostics on my car to determine why it suddenly stopped working (after I had already had it towed there), I began to search online for other options. Hackett Brothers Automotive came highly rated on the google reviews, and I am so very happy that I found them! I called the company and explained the situation. I believe I spoke with Barry, but I apologize, if I am misremembering. He let me know that while they were busy and booking a couple weeks out for most repairs, he would look over my car as soon as I got it towed there and if it was a simple fix, he would have fixed quickly. And he is indeed a man of his word because that is exactly what happened. I had the car towed there close to closing on Friday. It was ready on Monday afternoon (today). And the price was very reasonable for what was done and of course the labor. I highly recommend Hackett Brothers Automotive. They will be my go-to shop should I need such services again. I had called 6 other shops before being recommended to this shop. I said I needed a outside serpentine belt for a Scion XB installed now. Can you do it? The response was give me a moment...yes I can if you come right now. We were there within 10 min. And were on the way out the door in less than 35 min!!! I took my vehicle in to service the transmission. They pulled a code that my transmission was going out. Instead of calling me and informing me of the code, they went ahead and serviced it. This cost $250. A month later I am putting a new transmission in it. Very dishonest

Broke down on my way through Tennessee and Im extremely glad I got it towed to Hackett Brothers. First off they were extremely accommodating of my situation, being on a drive from Florida to Iowa and having no desire to stay in Tennessee for a week. So they got my car in immediately despite being innadated with jobs at the time.Within an hour they diagnosed that my 2011 Ford Fusion 3.5L V6 has been losing coolant and overheating because the water pump was leaking. He then quotes me 15 hours of labor and a bill in the $2,000 range. I of course assume hes ripping me off and call several other mechanics in the area.Each one tells me that they cant get me in until Wednesday and the same bill as to get at the Water pump on this engine, which is driven by the timing chain, you have to take half of the engine components off.Without going through every detail I felt valued when I was working with this shop. They replaced every part that needed or should be replaced (Which I know by talking to my brother at home throughout the process who is skilled with cars) and didnt replace the parts that didnt need replaced. My car was even done by the end of the second day despite being such a major job.I wont have an opportunity to work with this shop again but if I did I would give them the keys and just tell them to do whatever they need to do and call me when done.Im so thankful for their quality work which took me safely for another 600 miles back home with no problems.

I don’t even live in Murfreesboro anymore, and my dad still tells me to call Hackett for any maintenance needs as they are always honest and affordable. I just called because the Toyota dealership said I needed 4 new tires during my last visit. Barry Hackett asked me to send him some photos of my tires to save me the drive to Murfreesboro. Based on photos, he said I could get another 5-10k miles out of them and also sent me an article on what to look for when they need replacement. Additionally, he provided a quote for 4 new tires which was $130 less than Toyota’s quote. What other auto shop offers that kind of service?! You are in the right hands with Hackett Bros. Dont let these guys laid back attitude fool you! They are absolute professionals and have done a perfect job for me every single time I need something on 4 or 5 different vehicles. On more than one occasion they have done jobs for half of the quoted price of the big car dealerships! I actually enjoy having to take my car in for service!

I went to the car dealership and another mechanic before coming here and both places staid they wouldn’t be able to fix my tire alignment. Hackett Brothers’ were able to fix it within a day and now it’s driving smoothly. I wish i went here to begin with because i would have saved money and time. The only downside is that it takes about a week to get an appointment but it’s definitely with the wait because they are very knowledgeable and they have great customer service. My grandfather, father, and I all use this shop. That’s a testament to how good they are. Update: I had some issues with the alignment and they promptly rechecked it and took care of me. I’ve been misled about my camber issue so many times but they stayed on top of it and went above and beyond what you would expect at another shop.

These guys are awesome. Went in today and they fixed a problem on my Cobalt and only charged me $35. I got quoted $150 at a different place. They are honest and real with you about what they do and are really friendly as well. Ive been going here for years and will continue to.

You can always tell which repair places are the best by how busy they are, and Hackett Brothers is always slammed, for good reasons - they are fantastic at what they do. I dropped off my car with a repair quote that Id gotten from the dealer - $3,200!!! -- and they found a glaring misdiagnosis that saved me almost $1,600. The work was done in the estimated time, and my 2011 Terrain is back to purring like a (middle aged) kitten. I would HIGHLY recommend these guys, but be prepared to be scheduled a few days out. I had to wait a week, but part of that wait was over Christmas. They were worth the wait.

Please do not take your car to the guess brothers, go to a shade tree worker. You stand a better chance of getting it done right,these guys fixed my car replacing the hose and a new gasket gap, for 360.00. My car ran for 5 hours, The car then ran hot, I took it back and now they say its the water pump. They never fix m car on the first try, I always have to go back again. I am so done with these guys

I took my car in for a repair. My car happens to be equipped with a dash camera which records the drivers POV anytime the engine is running. Upon receiving my car back, I discovered that the camera had been tampered with and that video files recorded while in the shops possession had been deleted. The repair seems to have been done correctly, so Im not sure what they are trying to hide.

Barry is a great guy and owner. 4stars is reflective on the facts that they are SO good, there is so much work leaving a longer turn around time on getting a car done.

2001 acura integra - timing belt stripped. I had paid another local shop to replace it a few years ago, but when this happened it became obvious that they hadnt done the work.I feared that the engine was trashed, which was what the other shop told me, but the Hackett Bros. found that the valves were not damaged, and fixed it for a reasonable fee. Its running great now. Ive taken it for a few long drives just to be sure. I will trust them to take care of my vehicles from now on.

I broke down while traveling through Murfreesboro, I had no idea where to take my car. I checked everything I could on the car and realized I was going to have to get a professional take a look at it. I called Chevrolet of Murfreesboro and after taking all of my contact information and long description of my automotive issues they told me it would be a week before they could work it in. I searched on line for repeatable Automotive Repair Center, I was nervous because I dont know anyone in Murfreesboro. I called Hackett Brothers Automotive and I am so glad I did. These guys are top notch in every way, not to even mention very knowledgeable and experienced mechanics. They went above and beyond - they worked my car in the same day I called, ran the diagnostics and had an answer for me in no time. They part I needed was difficult to locate and Hacketts helped me search for a part and use their phones to make calls and track a part down. I was so impressed with their service, attitude and hospitality that I left my car with them and had the part shipped to their shop instead of having it towed home to be repaired. Came here a few years to replace a battery under warranty, new battery died came back they first couldnt find my information and then ordered me another battery and said 20 to 30 minutes been about hour and a half still waiting.
