Clocktower Coffee is an amazing coffee spot with good working space, a wide variety of pastries, and of course delicious coffee. I got one of their specials, the large coconut macadamia latte, and a sesame bagel with cream cheese, which came to less than $10. The coffee had the right amount of sweetness and flavor to it, and is going to be one of my go-tos. The bagel was fresh and toasted. Theres a pretty nice working space as well with a fair amount of tables so its a good spot to get work done.
Nice little neighborhood coffee shop and roaster in a quiet location. Selections of coffee and beans are great. Good outdoor seating and taste of coffee.[Coffee Experience]The coffee here has a good variety and taste. They have a great selection of drinks. When you buy coffee bags, they give you a free drink which is nice! Also, they give you a good amount of beans for the piece. However, Purchasing bags of coffee can be mysterious since they don’t put the roast date on the bag. Coffee tasted fresh enough, but for the serious coffee connoisseur this is important.[Customer Service]Everyone here was super friendly! It appears to be a family run shop which I appreciate! I always prefer these shops to Starbucks or other big chains. I felt welcomed when I came here!I recommend giving this place a shot! Loved the vibe, the staff, and the coffee!
Excellent coffee! Very clean and well organized coffee house. Employees are very friendly and helpful. The gift shop is full of so many fun and sweet items. I bought the softest puppy for my daughters birthday on Friday. My Neighborhood Coffee Club met here this morning for the first time and we love it. Were definitely going to return. Keep in mind that they dont have restrooms open, so plan accordingly. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is plentiful and the costs are reasonable, including the prices in the gift shop. The instrumental music is very soothing. I highly recommend!
I really like the interior and the selection of goodies to accompany the coffee! They cater from the ultimate cookie up in SF and me being a cookie monster, had to try their walnut Florentine, a first for me! Good coffee and great pairing! I think I might’ve had two or three questions for the barista which she didn’t seem to know the answer to. Totally OK, might be new to the job. All-around nice local business so five stars!
Beautiful interior, friendly and every drinkI’ve ordered has been excellent, great to have an independent coffee company in Mountain View
I first discovered Clocktower in 2001 and have made Monday morning visits part of my weekly startup ritual. Theres a good assortment of baked goods, sweets, and juices, as well as a good assortment of greeting cards and quirky but not too extravagant gifts. Especially during the pandemic, I have appreciated their friendliness and constancy.
Good hangout spot. Had hot chocolate and latte here- both were good. Also had wraps which were reheated. They also have free wifi.Decent place overall.
Just a unique coffee shop with good service. The owner who we think is French is always there trying to make everyones experience good. They have the cutest gift store and are flexible if you want any specifics in your drink. They also sell metal straws at their cafe and have an extensive recycling/trash center. Lovely little local Cafe.
Cute local coffee place, very nice baristas, plenty of tables to work on and even an outlet to charge from. I recommend the green tea latte.
Even though I woke up early that morning. I figured I would treat myself to coffee from our local coffee shop. Not stopping by for a while. I drop by to see the hours. They were not open. However, the young lady seen me reading the door. As I was about to leave. She asked if I would like to order. Yeah!!! Fresh coffee to wake me up.Thank you.
It is a nice, quieter and eclectic coffee shop. Its the only coffee shop I know that serves soup! 😊 They have other interesting goodies. They roast their own beans, always a plus.
Customers not permitted to use the restrooms. we dont have one. Well, they did a month ago...The decor is nice and coffee is okay. Outside seating area is narrow and the parking lot is just next to you. But youll need to sneak into Carls Jr for a restroom.
Had some coffee while I was waiting for my laundry. Multiple businesses in the same shopping center. Very convenient
Espresso drinks and cold brew are fine but they dont let customers use the bathroom making it a poor choice for a sit down spot. Beans for sale are expensive compared to other local roasters.
The best shop I can find near my home. It worth take me 30 minutes to get the coffee bean.
Good coffee and fast service, what else do you need?I stop by here every now and then when im really tired in the morning and need a good cup of coffee to pick me up!Good price too!The cafe is cute, with these cute signs everywhere and random things for sale. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. I havent gotten a chance to actually sit there and enjoy the cafe yet, but plan to soon!!The location is great because the plaza has plenty of parking.
Coffee is mostly water no coffee favore this is third time i always try to give it a chance, Peets coffee way better, bring ur coffee somewhere else and come work here cuz the atmosphere is good studying and baristas are nice ladies but coffee just water 💧 even amricano$ 2:75 is water 🙄. Next time I wont buy coffee here just a donut or water just to work here :(They have wifi just ask them
I loved their cold brew. Its also a great spot to work from to beat WFH blues
This is growing to be one of my favorite coffee shops in South Bay. I am a fan of their house coffee (medium roast), have not been disappointed by it even once. They take phone orders as well, and once when I mentioned my ETA, they ensured to prepare my coffee accordingly so that its hot by the time I arrived! The general ambience inside the store is also very nice and warm, I like the art they have for sale and being in the shop itself is a pleasant experience
Love this place to get my coffee quick and easy.
Cute suburban caffe with kind staff
Picked up some coffee beans. I would liked it if they had lighter roasts.
Coffee was good, bacon and cheese burrito was over priced. This place closed its bathrooms, how do you have a cafe with no bathrooms for your guests?
Nice coffee... and very positive people working there!
I got a macadamia white mocha and it was super good! Plus the whole atmosphere of the cafe is neat and the employees were friendly. Ill definitely go there again to try some of the other drinks! Someday, when all this COVID stuff calms down, Id love to get a coffee and do some writing on their patio.
Bad attitude,I came there to have coffee and work. There’s a single outlet and it doesn’t work. The employee couldn’t care less, wouldn’t try to find another one.Oh, and the banana bread - not good.
Great testing coffee and snacks. Service was swift and courteous. Friendly people. They also carry nick nacks like greetings cards and keychains etc.
I had a breakfast wrap and an iced latte. Wrap was good, but latte was delicious. The girl that took my order was very patiente with me as I was not sure what to get. Will def be coming back when Im around. Bring cash for the tip (:
Great place to buy reasonably priced whole bean coffee.
Only had coffee, but I got fast and friendly service. My cappuccino was served in a real mug, and it tasted very nice. Reasonably quiet so I could take a call and work for a little bit. Cozier than the regular chain coffee shops. Good variety of pastries. Art on the walls and also selling cute home decorations.
The owner is a jersey. He call the cops and tried to have me towed because I parked in front of his shop. Luckily police informed him that I was not illegally park as he claimed. Total Karen beware
Good quality coffee!! Croissant can be better!
I really like this coffee shop. I had given it at 4 stars before because they didnt have Stevia sweetner. Last time I went they had it. Yeah!
Strawberry smoothie today was good and thumbs up for warming up my croissant! Chai tea latte is so good its addicting and the coconut chocolate macaroons too good for words. Pumpkin spiced latte with morning bread served with a smile for sure even through the facemasks. And oh while the team today did great taking care of our kids, we sure do miss Nikki and Holly 💞🌱💪🏼🤙🏼
Got a drip coffee - monsoon something - which was good but not great. I guess brewing process does make a lot of difference. Service was good, interiors are nice too and the location itself is fine - easily accessible with good parking capacity in the lot. Didnt try anything else so will update the review once I do.
This is a lovely little shop with Coffee, Snacks, and Knickknacks. The Baristas are friendly and helpful. They Roast their own beans, and the coffee roaster is bright eyed, highly knowledgeable and a master of his art.
The best local coffee place, great coffee drinks, great service. Their French Roast is second to none.
Clocktower has the best-tasting, best-looking, and quickest-made coffee of the several local cafes Ive visited! Their Amaretto Zebra Mocha is excellent. And the decor is so cute that it perks me up before the coffee does.I started coming here when I lived a couple blocks away. After moving to another city, I still come here frequently.
Nice, light, friendly place for coffee. They have Indoor and outdoor seating. While they make a sincere effort their coffee drinks are not as good as some other places in Mountain View. Its good, just not great. However the atmosphere makes up for a lot of this. Located in walkable distance to many, and in a shopping area with plenty of parking.
We love their Chai!!
This was my morning coffee stop in 2006-2008 on my way to work. I miss it. Friendliest staff and lovely baked goods. Best way to start a day.
Good coffee and friendly staff.
Excellent whole bean coffees for purchase. Roaster has real appreciation for the bean and brings out the best in them. Love their Kenya, peaberries and Malabar (Indian) coffees.
LOVE this shop. Best coffee ever. Best beans in house roasted
Great for sitting and doing work. One of my consistent go-to spots. 4 stars cause the quality of the coffee could be better. Its certainly not terrible though
Tried this place out one morning as it was nearby and seemed like a good option rather than looking for the nearest national brand coffee shop. It was cute inside, but the chai was just meh - too sweet and honestly not flavorful beyond that. I tasted way more of the soy milk than the actual chai mix - not a good sign. It was so cloying sweet though that I only drank about 3-5 sips. Ended up getting a chai at an old stand-by instead later in the morning. Service was good though and my drink came up quick.
Were here every other week buying whole beans for our espresso machine. We like the espresso blend and house blend best.
Found this place on Google maps. Ordered an Amaretto zebra mocha, which was excellently balanced. I cant take strong coffee so it was perfect.
The place to get your cup of Joe and several versions of said coffee.
Good coffee, comfy sofa. Breakfast sandwiches are meh. Pastries okay. No bike parking. Theyve got a nice stack of the local free paper.
Great place for a good cup of coffee. Even tastier if you are drinking it there cause they will serve it in a real mug instead of a paper cup. Great attitude. Plenty of seating, both around tables and in easy chairs/couches. Well lighted. Pleasant.
Several months ago, State Senator Jerry Hill had one of his regular Java with Jerry meetings that he holds all over the 13th Senate District. His constituents come to hear whats going on in Sacramento then he opens it up for Q&A. I have been to several here. Set up is nice with sofa, lots of chairs and small tables. Coffee is always great and staff very helpful.
Never here before and a good find for coffee nearby. Great coffee and pastries for a sunny afternoon. Very relaxing for catching up with family.
Ill try not to put bias in this review, because I know someone who works here, but there isnt much bad to say about this place. They have great drinks, and a good variety too, along with that their snacks. They have free WiFi, and a pretty comfy lounge area, if your in the area they have great pricing, and the coffee to match.
My favorite place to buy coffee. Their roasts are fresh, and coffee beverages always prepared with care. Although there are spots to work on your laptop, there are also tables to do what you normally do at a coffee shop: Jus sit, relax and have a good time with coffee in hand
Sweet little cafe with decent selection of drinks and snacks. Less frequented than Starbucks thus more chill
Great coffee and friendly service
Love this place, friendly atmosphere, wonderful service, very good at distancing amadks, and cleanliness!
They arent open on time, even on a national coffee day, what a joke. Check out Rogers at the same parking lot instead of this place.
Nice space to go with a friend to sit and talk. I dont drink coffee. Other drinks are meh. Nothing exciting. But glad to have a place to go in my neighborhood.
Good coffee. Exceleent service. Nice place.
Great coffee, great service
Rarely drink a coffee so good, Excellent customer service,
Friendly staff! Came her to work prior to a nearby client on site, the place has some great baked goods and great service. One unisex toilet but that wasnt an issue on the day.
I stumbled upon this place on a recent visit to Mountain View. Its nice to find a good coffee option without going to the downtown area. Nice coffee and excellent carrot cake. They have good seating (and a strange little shop). Ill definitely check them out again if Im in the area.
Great coffee shop, the owner is always there and makes many of the drinks himself; super positive vibes! There are also a ton of fun cute gift type items you can buy. Its kind of like a coffee shop/giftshop. I definitely prefer their coffee to Starbucks or Peets. Its got a smoother, softer texture.
I like the ambiance. However the blond barista with ponytail gave me the worst attitude when I asked to change my order. She gave me an eyeball roll. If the owner of this shop is reading this review I suggest you retrain your staff about the importance of customer service. Youve got a great shop and good products but a single bad employee can lead to lost customers and a bad reputation. Hope you change it.
This is one of my favorite neighborhood coffee shops, and I love their selection of pastries. Unfortunately, the great food and drinks do not outweigh the store’s unpleasant environment — two baristas are always incredibly loud and rude whenever I am there. They pierce my music and limit my ability to work by loudly complaining about coworkers and customers without pause for hours. Their comments about customers after they leave are rude, but most importantly, incredibly distracting from any attempts at conversation or work. I am sad that this shop has become a last resort option for me; I love the cute decorations and drinks.
They have good coffee here, with consistent quality. They have some great baked goods, but because they dont bake their own stuff the availability can change over time. They used to have fantastic mint chocolate cookies, but they havent had them in over a year [I want them back :-)].
Good latte! Might get some beans soon
I come in for a coffee and pastry all the time for breakfast. The coffee is mild in a very flavorful way, staff is always friendly and took steps to remember my name, and the merchandise in the store is quite charming, with the humorous ones similar to what you would find in a candy shop. All sorts of people come and it has been always a comfortable experience. Only downside is that I think only two seats have access to power outlets.
Great local business. Excellent coffee with prices comparable to the big name coffee places. Nice atmosphere and good selection
Cramped inside so not a great place to study or hang out. Baristas seem bored out of their minds, try asking a question about the menu and get a sigh and half an answer. Friend said her latte was flavorless, she couldnt even taste the butterscotch. My iced coffee had a ton of ice in it. Would be more space if half the place wasnt a Hallmark style gift shop. Falls short when compared to any the other coffee shop in the bay area.
Nice little cafe with a relaxing atmosphere. You can also buy some gifts and 3d greeting cards here. Really good cake, but I didnt like the savouries I tried.
Local coffee shop that offers all the expected drinks the chain shops have. I like that they have all these little non-coffee related items for sale including wall art from local amateur artists. Coffee is ok, not great but the people are nice, the shop is inviting and its good to support a neighborhood business.
One of my favorite non-chain neighborhood coffee shops. The servers are friendly and the shop is cozy and cute. Lots of great gifts if youre on your way to a birthday party (or any party).
Amazing workers, coffee, and Pastries!!! Good selection of different mochas and pretty good ice coffee
Neat little local shop with cool crafty gifts, but most importantly coffee.
Great service, friendly staff. I like their chai latte with almond milk to make it more mellow. Usually pretty busy, lots of people studying, working, or taking business meetings. I like it!
Good food, drinks and prices right. Everyone very nice and helpful
This is a great little coffee shop. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing, and its nice place to stop and hangout on the weekend. I really enjoy their Chai Lattes... give them a try!
Cute coffee shop close to home. Always enjoy the drinks, prompt service.
Very pleasent Staff Great Coffee & Pastries mmmmm
The coffee was really good. It is a cute friendly coffee shop.
Clean and good coffee and pastries. A couple flies snuck in and were bugging. Thanks.
Good coffee shop with all the usual blends and coffee recipes. Indoor and outdoor seating.
