No tax on beer since it is federal property. Buy a growler and get superb craft beer SUPER cheap! Custom burgers and subs are super good! Thursday and Friday are happy hour prices and have great happy hour food! All while sitting at hangar one looking at awesome jets at NASA!

Food is good. Not cheap or expensive. Very conveniently located when at Ames. Ghost pepper cheesesteak was a little more than I can handle, but tasty.#travelformortals

Inside the NASA Ames facilities, the Space bar has tipical food shared with authentic NASA and USAF pilots. Also a good selection of spirits, not commom in places for food.

Friendly staff with a decent comfort food menu, and nicely stocked bar of liquors and beers on tap. NASA TV was playing, but other then that not much of a space theme that was expected. They do have souvenir shot glasses for sale to show you visited the research center.

Amazing to eat here. But maybe I was just hyped about being able to visit NASA. Either way, 5*.

Really good drinks, draft beer, and good pub food. Just show your dirvers license at the gate to Moffett (Just the driver needs to show their license), and tell them you are going to the space bar... then drive straight back almost all the way to Hanger 1. Its a typical spot for NASA and New Space folks to hang out. Indoor and outdoor seating.

For a restaurant on government property, I havent had better. The meeting is a bit funky through an iPad, but I figured it out in the end. Their fries are heavenly!

You do not need to be a NASA employee to get in! All you need is a drivers license to get through the gate.This is an amazing place. Good food and drinks. Great beer selection, and very inexpensive!

Quick, cheap burger place on NASAs campus. When trying to get onto the campus, you just need to show your drivers license and say that youre going to The SpaceBar. The impossible burger was great (although not as meat-like as I thought it would be). Garlic fries were crunchy and delicious.

Great prices moderate selection, reasonable food. I am.told that the best time to hang out here is happy hour on Thursdays. The outdoor garden is pleasant. Fresh air in the city!

I ordered a roast chicken salad and expected actual roast chicken but it was more like sandwich meat. The salad wasnt bad but it wasnt worth $10 .

We love The SpaceBar and have been eating here for 2 years. It has indoor and outdoor seating, an alcohol bar and Peets coffee bar. You can order smoothies also. On the food side are amazing burgers (made fresh to order), huge salads, old Bay fries, onion rings...you get the idea ;) There are daily specials, soda fountain, video games, streaming news, cold brew, good company... Its just all around great ;) Parking is plenty and free. It is on Moffet Airfield so have a government ID ready.

Chill, casual atmosphere, good (but somewhat limited selection of) pub grub, great sandwiches and daily specials, and an excellent, ever-changing selection of microbrews.Would love to see a selection of healthier munchies (pretty much everything is deep fried; even steamed broccoli with cheese sauce, or chips and salsa would be healthier and still go well with beer). Other than that, a great place to unwind after a day of space research.

The food was yummy and quick, the beer selection was good. Pretty much cant go wrong with NASA bar. Awesome.

The space bar is the best place to grab food in Nasa Ames Research Park. The burgers, fries and sandwiches are awesome and you have a lot of options to choose from and also the staff are very helpful and there is plenty of space inside and outside in order to enjoy onself.

Two stars because its close to workbut thats about it the prices have gone up and the portions have gone downthe food used to be really good but since they raised the prices the quality of the food has seemed to have suffered.
