I loved this cozy little tea shop. The ambiance is super cute, colorful and clean. I loved sitting outside. Their tea is pretty good and their yogurt shakes were super refreshing and delicious. I love that there are little stores like this popping up on green street. I love this little area as it is not as busy and congested like colorado. I wish they had a few more options for dessert though. Perhaps more cakes, cookies and breads? I wanted to get something to eat with my tea, but did not find anything and I did not want to wait for pancakes. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great cups 🍵 of joe ! Support your locally owned shops!
Our third visit for espresso drinks and they’ve been great. Really well made. Outside the fountain sitting space is delightful and close to the library Park. Our first crepe here this morning! Delicious!! And they make pancakes too. Next time. Great budget and smiles too. Do this.
An obnoxious place! I would never go back EVER again! I dont usually write bad reviews for a place but this time I really feel like I have to say something. On Veterans Day, I originally planned to study in the Mountain View Public Library which is a block away from this cafe. Unfortunately the library was closed. In search of a place to study, I walked to the lobby of the Performing Art Center which is attached to this cafe and was delighted to find out several small tables and chairs there. As soon as I sat down, this obnoxious guy from the Cafe came up and told me I was not allowed to study there. So I had no choice but to leave the lobby and walked into the cafe. It was small and noisy, decor was mediocre, not an ideal place to study and read. But I decided to give it a try. I picked a table and sat down. As soon as I opened my laptop, the same obnoxious guy immediately came up and told me in a very rude way that this cafe is for customers only. I felt deeply OFFENDED by it! 2/3 of the cafe was empty, and he couldnt allow someone to sit here for a while before buying a coffee? It wasnt like I was going to sit there the whole day without buying anything; I would definitely buy something, and I just wanted to sit down for a bit and reply to some emails first before I do that.In retrospect, that obnoxious and ugly-looking guy had the full intention of kicking me out of the lobby and forcing me into their cafe. Whats wrong with a young woman sitting quietly in the lobby and studying/reading by herself? People working at this cafe do not care about customers at all and are rude to customers. All they care about is how to make money from you, and theyre very short-sighted: they have already lost a customer forever!
Lovely place to have a tea and sit and work. Nice ambiance outside and inside!
Just had the worst customer service here. My family ordered a few snacks and 4 drinks, including a decaff and a normal latte. The lady understood almond latte and when she repeated the order, with a very thick accent, we werent sure of what she said and we repeated it was a normal latte, just for good measure. Well of course the latte didnt taste right and we went back to ask for the regular drink. The lady was rude beyond measure and refused to serve us what we paid for. She said I said almond so it is not my fault. Well we could have said the same I said normal so it is not my fault lady. I didnt have the heart to tell to her face that it was really hard to understand her as Im not that kind of person but it is utterly unfair to hold her customers responsible for their mistakes. I guess they must be struggling very hard financially to fight ciatimers this hard for their $3 mistake. I wish I could unspend and undrink everything from here. Few things feel worse than paying to be mistreated.
Really nice and cosy place, especially for a weekend coffee and brunch. Ample space for children to play and ample outdoor seating. Park also near by.
I was very dissatisfied with the treatment I received today. The waitress made a mistake giving me my change, and when I was trying to -kindly- tell her, she didnt let me finish the sentence. She told me they have security cameras. I calmly explained it again, and then she realized I was right. Making mistakes is absolutely normal but misstreating - and threatening- clients like that, is not acceptable. Not coming back!
Good espresso and nice baristas not the strongest espresso but very smooth and hard to put down.
Cozy and cute! Granted, I wasnt there during a performance, so YMMV.
If youre looking for a quiet spot to read or work, its very convenient. Its kind of hidden, but worth checking it out.
Bean Scene Cafe was just OK. They dont have an overly good representation of what they serve and the bagel sand which I got was sub par. Also just OK on the atmosphere and feel. How I feel about it, meh.
Sort of off the beaten path, while still close proximity to Castro St., its small and quiet, with a decent selection of things to eat. Not as big, or as much of a selection as the (unrelated?) Bean Scene Cafe in downtown Sunnyvale.
They basically named a crepe after me- breakfast crepe, extra bacon no pepper
Lovely place for a snack. Located in the Mountain View performing arts center.
Love it!! Especially love the coffee there. Definitely going back!
Awesome place. Great service and product.
Decent sandwich, little outdoor seating area was nice.
When I worked in this area I came all the time because the coffee is bad, so few people go there. the paninis are meh too. But that means theres usually a chair either outside in the nice plaza or inside.
We go there every Saturday morning so that kids can play. Owners are very nice, and food is good (crepes with Nutella, or ham)
Small, simple, friendly, tasty. And next to the MV arts plaza fountain, a nice place to people watch. Their appropriately gritty milkshake with ground espresso beans is decadently delicious (and very energizing!) and their fresh watermelon drink is especially perfect for warm summer days!I recently tried their chicken cordon bleu and it was delightfully tasty -- the chicken was baked, not fried or breaded, and the sandwich was very flavorful without being greasy. It also came with a tasty side of salad with vinaigrette dressing.Downside? It was a bit pricey ($7.50) for the amount of food :(. $7.50 for lunch can almost get you a full all-you-can-eat buffet down the street, and I was still pretty hungry after this sandwich and salad.Next time, I think Ill stick to Bean Scene for light snacks, not a meal.
Great place for lunch and for hiding in plain sight.
Ok for coffee but not much else. I ordered a veggie panini and it was super soggy.
Coffee is alright. Brownie taste much better than its appearance.
Always friendly, great location.
Gas station coffe for twice the price. Inconvenient credit card minimum.
Crepes were nothing special, but the prices are fair. There are also art that you can buy!
Excellent chicken salad on sourdough
Terrible coffee, rotten beans, incompetent preparation.
Ok coffee
Great location
