I went to look for some Halloween home decor and their selection was a bit slim.

If you go into Michaels you will love everything! I wish Costa Rica could have one. Its kind of a heaven made store.

Great store, very organized, lots of great bargains to be found inside this Dempster Street Michaels craft store. There are plenty of items on sale for summer, 4th of July, as well as generalized home decor and craft supplies. I found their home decor section really fantastic and the prices were less than HomeGoods or other Home Decor stores. They had a huge selection of Summer items including lots of fun toys for kids and items to decorate your house seasonally. Ive also been here during the winter and they have tons and tons of great craft ideas and decor ideas for Christmas and New Years.

I have shopped here many times, but yesterday, I was so impressed by an employee named Dane. She was AMAZING! I was looking for an item and it was sold out. Dane is so creative and helpful she came up with a perfect alternative. Michaels is lucky to have her. Thank you Dane for going beyond and thinking outside the box!

Pretty clean (newer) store. They have great sales on seasonal and holiday items. Go within the week of a holiday or end of season to find 50% -70% off. I just left with all my Easter stuff for 23$.🙆‍♀️

I love arts and crafts stores. But out of the three I have been to since moving back to Chicago, this has been the better stocked one so far. Clean, everyone wearing masks and keeping their distance!

Went to buy some acrylic paint and the shelfs were pretty empty they have not stock them up.

Stuff is kinda over priced in my opinion. Went to buy items for the class room and didnt find much to work with for a reasonable price. Unless you need something immediately I wouldnt recommend. That being said the location was clean and well organized.

The only reason I’m giving one star ⭐️ Is because one of the employees walk by us not once ask if we needed help or greet us.But the moment I touched something he came at me rude saying and that’s why inventory gets messed up.I reply to him that I didn’t take anything out that I was only looking for a specific color of acrylic paint. Hes behavior was very unprofessional and rude.

Brought my granddaughters there to get gift ideas. A variety of interests to choose and it exposed some things we didnt know that they really enjoyed. Small ticket or big, they found many things to make them smile regardless of price.

Seems like corporate has given up since the move across the street to a bigger facility a year or two back, Ironically their baking and candy section seems to have gotten smaller, and has less stock. Store is clean, well presented, and the overworked employees will bend over backwards, if you can find one.

There were 2, 3 people who helped me in my Micheal experience at Morton grove. One of the people was Antonio, who was very nice, and helped me very precisely. I then went up to 1 more employee, and she too, helped me a lot in finding where my thing was. Excellent costumer service!

Who doesnt love Michaels. The only problem I have is staying focused. Its always bright, clean. I have also experienced very good customer service. Check out easy. Recommended highly.

I ordered 3 tubes of beads online for in-store pickup, and it was confirmed and paid for. The next morning, I got an email saying that theyd only had 2, but that Id get a refund. When we arrived to pick them up, we waited in line, only to be told to go to the framing counter at the back of the store. But there was nobody there to help us. Eventually we got the attention of an employee, who found the guy who was supposed to help us. He didnt ask for any ID or order confirmation - so just anybody couldve taken my order - and was the entirely unhelpful and unsympathetic when there was only 1 tube of beads in my bag! I had to go to another store to pick up more of the beads, then email the online customer service for a refund of the missing tube. Thankfully they issued it within one day, although they too did not know what happened. I surmise that either their inventory is not immediately reflected online or that the worker who was to put together my order waited until the next morning to actually do so, and some had been purchased in the interim. It was frustrating to have to go to 3 stores to get 3 tubes of beads!

Michaels Craft store is bright, clean and in a new location. Its next to Home Goods on Dempster. It moved 2 months ago, I guess I dont shop this location much. The staff are friendly and helpfully.

Very nice staff,and very helpful. i needed one particular laser cut frame thats out of stock in this location. one lady helped me by calling different near by stores( it took some time for each store to check their stock) to check if they have them.i was going there more frequently every one is very helpful.Ooow. They have better discounts

I found a few pictures for my laundry room. They were 50% off. I always find a bargain here. The checkout line was a bit confusing. It took one customer 3 tries before finding the entrance.

If you are into building scenery for anything theyre pretty good on ideas here. Whenever I get stuck I go here for ideas for my train set.

New location. Hate the set up, feels like a CVS. Very unpleasant to the eye, almost sterile-like feel. If you know what you are looking its fine. But to just wander and see what you find? Meh... not for me. Ill stick to the Village Crossing store.

I hated this place. There was completely nothing there. It was like it was going oiut of buisness in 2 weeks. It smelled like urine. There was literally nothing you would have to buy. There was not a single item I wanted to find.

A bit high price but amazing unique designs

This store is always highly unorganized, seems to never have anything I need, in stock. When I call, to ask for someone to locate items, before I commute there; the hold times are often 10-15 minutes. There are never enough sales people in the store to help out. Ive resorted to asking the cashier for help, instead. This is a huge disappointment, being this is the location (Niles) closest o my home. I now avoid the stress and headaches, of trying to shop at this location, by driving further away to another. I have had quite the opposite experience, at the Glenview location. Its my favorite now, of all the Michaels, in a 15 miles radius of my home.

The cashier offered to price match something which was very kind of her and helped with how much I owed. Really appreciate the good service

Why would anyone put up with MIchaels for custom framing. I walked out in frustration after a half hour because the framer didnt have a clue about how to care for my artwork and a cheaper price hardly makes sense if they trash your stuff. The old saying of you get what you pay for is really right about Michaels.
