I rolled in here at 7:30am opening time Saturday morning with an almost flat tire. I was stressed because I just arrived in town and was scheduled to leave again Sunday morning with a long drive to San Francisco. They tended to me right away, discovered a nail and repaired the tire for only $34! Friendly, fast service. Dont forget to tip your tire guy - they work hard. Highly recommend!

Great place! I feel good bringing my car to Peninsula Tires. They offer much more than tires.I know Tony, the owner, since many years. He is my go-to whenever I have an automotive question.Everyone at the shop is very helpful and the prices are fair.

I had to take my newly mounted tired to a different shop because all tires and wheels were out of alignment by over an ounce. This caused my car to shake on the freeway.I was verbally promised that they would be able to adjust my UCAs, which is the reason I chose this shop, but the tech refused to. He told me to take it home and adjust it myself and bring it back in to get my cams adjusted again.The next shop was able to get everything in spec with just the cams. They also had to rebalance all of my tires.This is my honest experience and I only take the time to write this, with hope that you will maintain your equipment and honor your word.I hope that nobody else has to pay twice to get the job done right.

Excellent customer service. They have the most chill lounge area, watched some black and white Western movie, while using their free WiFi. Tony was so nice. He had an employee checkout my window and diagnosed the issue with me. I recommend giving Peninsula Tires a visit for quality work.

With that service, I ordered new tires and returned two weeks later for installation of 4 tires, aligned and balanced. Great professional personal service. Coffee, TV, magazines while I waited. EXCELLENT SERVICE. $24.00 for a nail in my tire repair and evaluated the other tires and filled them to the proper pressure. No charge for that. AMAZINGLY FAST AS WELL!

Seems like this place is always A guy short and its going take longer than they previously stated. Called them the day before and they said they could mount my new tires i bought online. When i arrived the guy at the front counter said that there was no way he could get my truck done unless i left it there until the end of the day. I couldnt do that because i had errands to do that day so i asked him what other time would be better. He told me if i bring it first thing the next morning(8 am) he would have me finished in no time. i showed up and it took them over an hour to even start on my car. i didnt get out of there until 10. I could deal with the extra time it took but i told the guy repeatedly that i was taking my old tire with me because they were still good. I went outside and found my tires set aside in the shop like they wanted to keep them. I told them again that i wanted my tires and then one of the workers came up to me and said hey if you want to sell those ill give you $100 bucks for them. Yah....wonder why my tires were set aside and not in the back of my truck like i asked. Then i traded in my truck 2 weeks later and had my tires dismounted by Sullivan tire and the owner said that they found a chunk missing in the bead and whoever mounted them took a chunk out of the bead and they probably should have told you or replaced the tire. Is it possible that this tire company took the chunk out when they were dismounting and they were just covering their A**....yes but with the experience i had with these guys Im going to play it safe and never go there again.

I’ve been here twice and both times they got the job done quickly and actually I had gone to other tire shops for my tires and they couldn’t do the job that I had asked (the shop in Carmel is pretty lame). They also charge very reasonable rates

I came in with a tire having a slow leak and they were incredibly helpful. I was out the door in about half an hour (it was mid-morning so fortunately it wasnt too busy but still, they eked me in between larger jobs) and they did a wonderful job. Next time, when all for tires are up for replacement, this is where Ill gladly take my business. Did I say theyre friendly people?

Tony, owner, and his employees couldnt have been more delightful and courteous. Tony wasnt going to charge me for fixing the tire problem so I bought a replacement spare tire for $40. Highly recommend.

I dont like leaving negative reviews but I rely heavily on other people s reviews to pick while Im road tripping.I chose to come here because of all the positive reviews and high rating and my personal experience was disappointing and still stings.Im experiencing vibration in my car (visible on steering wheel at higher speeds) so I came in to see if rebalancing my front tires would help.I asked to go on the road test, the technician acknowledged he felt the vibration that I was bringing my car in for and that rebalancing would help.When my car was done, the technician took my car out without me on the road test so when I was paying I asked the gentleman if the vibration went away, he then checked with the technician who confirmed yes it had.Well it hadnt, absolutely no improvement.So he lied and just wanted me out the door and I lost $37 and some time but...why Im leaving this review is that same technician was not using the star pattern when torquing the lug nuts he was just going circular.So now Im left wondering and anxious as to at what point will my rotors start warping. Wish people would stop leaving positive reviews just because they were nice.Baffles me that this place lacks in this most basic task and that there all these positive reviews?

If you need anything for your vehicle, this is the place! You really cant find a better spot for quality, workmanship, and price (they offered me a great discount). I had an appointment for an alignment and they started on my vehicle immediately; no waiting. You can tell the whole team is professional. Everyone there is pleasant and nice to talk to. The location itself is great in case you need to leave your vehicle for a longer period of time; short walk to the beach and wharf. I will be recommending them to everyone I know. Thanks!

If something is wrong with your wheels or tires, this is the place to go in Monterey. I used Peninsula Tire service 3 times. No complaints. Everything was done in a right way and the cost was very reasonable. Last time I came without an appointment and asked to remove two badly swollen and striped lug nuts. Although it seemed like they were busy on that day, less than 10 minutes later the nuts were unscrewed and I was not even charged for it. Such an attitude is very unusual for car repair shops in our area. This what is called a great customer service. Looking forward to using Peninsula Tire in the future.

Came in as I found a drill bit in my tire on a Sunday in the mid-afternoon. We were to drive back home to Marin the next morning. They were able to take us and fix the tire in 30 minutes. The repair was less than $20. Only down side is the waiting room is a bit crufty and the bathroom is a porta-potty. Considering the quality of work, how friendly they were, speed and cost, these are easily overlooked.

I went there yesterday to resolve a possible leak in one of my tires. The staff determined there was no puncture, but only after 15 minutes of work. They didnt charge me anything! On a long trip I hit a curb hard and thought I had dislodged the bead of one tire. I googled tire shops in the area and took the van to Peninsula Tire. They checked the tire, spun it on the balancer, aired it up, and said it was good to go. They were friendly and fast. A great relief for me. Good guys.

Drove from Oregon to Monterey and noticed that my tire was actually losing air. I looked up or rather I Googled the nearest tire centers near me during the Thanksgiving holiday and found this tire company. This company had been in business in the Monterey area for many years as you could tell from their building. I was able to bring in the tire and the car and waited for about 30 minutes and they found a nail in it, repaired my tire and I was on my way $25 They did a great job.
