I always get great service at the Crystal Aamco location. Kevin does a great job dealing directly with me and the work I have had done is always excellent.

My car is still heating up && they told me that it was the radiator && thermostat && I payed 800 & some && it is still happening. I told Kevin about it && he had the mechanics changed my water pump & timing chain without cost even though my warranty had expired from them a year ago and even though my car is still heating up still . I appreciate them changing my timing chain & water pump but I would of love if my diagnostic since the start would of been better & accurate & accurate && it’s not fair they took my money for nothing, it’s like if nothing gone done on my car. Please go somewhere else I do not recommend it here because they take your money & their diagnosis is not accurate at all & then tell you it’s something else! I will never go back & I will be sure to tell all my coworkers & family & friends that come here to this shop to not go anymore because they’re dishonest & don’t have any sympathy for you

I went to Aamco because they said they can do a diagnostic test on my car for $75. I thought wow what a deal. The first person you meet is Kevin he is absolutely wonderful I would have given your store a 5 just for him. When they said they were done with my car I was waiting for the printout that usually comes when you have a diagnostic test done. I explained to them that my car acts like its not getting enough gas and sometimes it wont even turn over. Instead of a print out there was a piece of paper that had things checked off and on the bottom it had writing saying that I needed a camshaft sensor and a crankshaft sensor and other things. I had someone put the camshaft sensor in and then I took my car to another place called Nghias because Aamco wanted too much money. When I bring it there they tell me I dont even need a crankshaft sensor. They did not charge me for even checking my car which I was very grateful for. So after paying the $75 for the supposed to be diagnostic test I went and bought the pieces that I needed and that was $90 which really wasnt a lot to get my car going. I am a 65 year old woman and Nghias Auto Care could have ripped me off but instead was honest and let me know I did not have to have that done and they would have charged me $200 to get the crankshaft sensor if I needed it. I feel very betrayed and mislead into thinking that I needed a part for my car that I didnt even need. I just want to say thank you so very much to Kevin, you are absolutely wonderful and they need to give you a raise!

Simply put, they did the work completely wrong and I had to take my vehicle somewhere else (close to where I was because I wasnt sure the vehicle would make it back to their shop). I had to pay an additional $506.00 in repairs to fix what AAMCO did incorrectly. They, of course, are choosing to hide behind a technicality in their so called warranty. Worst $700.00 auto repair I have ever had and will never go back there!

Quick service, supplying great parts and warranty coverage. The shop workload always looks to be heavy, but they dont treat the customers as just a number. They take the time to understand the problem and provide the best repair solution. I have used this shop for several repairs that I did not want to take on myself, and I have always felt that they approach repairs with my best interests in mind. Just had an emergency repair, and while my vehicle was there, they asked if I wanted to fix another issue I was aware of but had not planned on addressing. When I decided to do that as well, they immediately began the added work, and still got everything completed by the time they had promised. Will continue to go back, this shop and the entire team have gained my trust.

These guys are terrific! For you folks that used to have your car serviced by Craigs Auto Electric in Robbinsdale I suggest you bring your vehicle to these guys. Just as honest, knowledgeable, trustworthy and efficient that I am used to. Kevin, Travis and Tommy are ready and willing to explain why work is needed. By far the best place in Minnesota to bring your vehicle if youre having any issues. Kevin and his crew are the most honest and skilled technicians Ive ever dealt with. You will be told exactly what your vehicle needs, not up sold unnecessary repairs and the work will be done correctly. Since Ive started bringing my vehicle to them its been running and driving better than the day I drove it off the used car lot. I Paid 3200 for a rebuild Transmission and it only lasted 3 1/2 years then they wanted me to pay another 3000 for another one and told me that he took 200 off I would not recommend them i found another place to get another one from jasper and the cost will be 2000 so if you can look around.

They were all real nice guys...the guy that rebuilt my transmission did a great job... everything was perfect and they even saved the old parts to show me what they replaced and I know those parts are out of it cuz I rebuilt it two years ago thats what I put in it. I called and spoke with Ken when I started having problems with my 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500hd and Ken said bring it now and he will look at it for no charge. So I did it was Saturday and Monday morning he hit me with the cracked bell housing. Quick story short, the next Tuesday i walk in with a payment and truck was coming out the stall ready(time to transfer more money and take truck), so I did! The value 👌 Ken and his team were great all of them and the real value is Ken and his team. So did I get a good deal hell yea but not money or labor but professionalism. Me truck is my business and my life Aamco got my new transmission ordered and installed in 1 week.....

These guys are so friendly and more importantly, TRUTHFUL! I have zero knowledge about cars and would be very easy to take advantage of. I brought my car in because it was shaking. Instead of leaving me in the dark, they explained that it was just a built-up of snow and ice and didnt even charge me for cleaning it off. Others would have not been as helpful or honest.

My son was driving his truck across country, he needed to add oil and the oil fill cap would just spin but not come off. He stopped into this AAMCO and saw Travis, they quickly got the old cap off and installed a new one and topped off his oil. Additionally gave the truck a quick look over and gave him the thumbs up to continue on his journey

Great experience. My car needed transmission repair and a new alternator. The work was completed quickly and they provided excellent communication throughout the process. I had another vehicle at home so they arranged to drop me off and pick me back up when my car was ready. Amazing! Not many car repair shops would provide that service. They really know what they are doing and the shop is very clean. It was a great experience with no hassles. They made extra effort to be friendly and helpful. Every business should operate this way. They have it figured out. I trust their work. It is excellent when you find a business that knows how to do everything right. This is my new auto repair shop!

I upped the star count to reflect the good response.Original review: This past summer I had to bring my SUV in for other work but my interstate battery also had to be replaced under warranty. I just realized now that I had to jump it, they gave me the lower model MT battery instead of the MTP battery I originally had. I would highly suggest going someplace else unless you want to get scammed.

The staff at AAMCO were so friendly and helpful. My car was being serviced by a company that rarely answer their phones and when I finally reached someone there was always a week or two before I could get my car in. I called AAMCO they answered the phone on ring #2 and Kevin got me in right away. This facility will be the family and friends choice for good service.

AAMCO does the job good! Free towing and estimate, very courteous staff, reasonable pricing and work warranty. This all makes AAMCO the head of the pack.Travis not only showed me the trans replacement parts, but gave me the lift from home to pick up the car. I am recommending AAMCO to everyone for all car problems.

They brake stuff on your car and dont take responsibility for it dont go there. And if you have cigarettes in your glovebox the guys there will stell one of the packs and tell you no my guy would not do that i know what i had in the glovebox. Update the transmission they installed that had 100,000 miles broke just days after the warranty

Wow, at first I was hesitant because our family always does their own car repairs, but this time it was my transmission and I had a warranty, at the moment I walked through the the front door I met a man who was truly a blessing. Kevin was behind the desk and we quickly became friends! Kevin went above a beyond to make me comfortable and take care of everything that needed to be done! My transmission is in and I couldnt be happier with the work that was done!!!!!!! I will come back to these A+ mechanics and a AAA+ office manager. Thanks Kevin for everything.

I will never refer any of my family or friends to go here if your not there sitting and watching what there really doing to your car!!! They ripped my father off from over $1100 in supposedly repair and labor to fix my father truck by taking they word when I shouldve sat there and watch them work on hes truck. GM talk a good game so did the workers, Never again will I recommend anyone to just drop there car and leave cause there not full of it. I write this so the next person doesnt get ripped off like how my father did. If there was a thumb down beside 1 star I wouldve get them that thumbs down..!!! Forget this place go find people who are loyal in keeping there word and trusting them with your car.

Kevin was outstanding from the very beginning. He went out of his way to locate a used transmission for me and broke down all the options and costs up front. He even got me a ride home as my jeep was unable to be driven, haha! This is an honest shop with people who actually care and are personable. My experience at Aamco was great! they checked out my vehicle after I explained to them how it was operating they put on the diagnostic machine and at that point it was an Output sensor., but the mechanic took it for a ride and sure enough that was the problem…they got me in there and had me back on the road feeling comfortable driving again.Thanks Aamco

Its been a long time coming. I wanted to give a review for these guys. Earlier in the year I slid on the crashing into a nothing car. My insurance paid for the repairs but the air conditioning stopped working properly. I didnt notice it until the weather warmed up. It would turn on and off sporadically never staying on for more than 5 minutes. The nice guys at Aamco diagnosed the problem and had me back on the road within a couple hours.

My car had started making a noise so I took it in to have it looked at and was told it was in the power steering. I said o.k. fix it. I was told the car would be ready in two days, it took four. $992 later, I picked up my car and it is still making the EXACT same noise. Not only that, now the car is grinding the whole time its in motion. I called Aamco and I was told the new noise is the brakes and wasnt sure about the original noise. Well the brakes werent making a noise before my car was dropped off there. I had also noticed some papers on the front seat. I didnt think much about it until I went to put them away and realized my glove box, door pockets, center console, and cargo area had all been gone through and found my parking ramp pass and the money I keep in the car for other ramps and parking meters missing. I have had some good service here in the past but this time it was awful.

I called this guy because I was having transmission problems. I have already spent all my money replacing the engine in my suburban and I wanted an estimate because I am going to have to borrow money to fix my vehicle. I relay this to Kevin and he says drive it in we will give you a free diagnostic to see what is wrong(He even said what it most likely was since it started doing this right after I had the new engine put in and gave me the impression thats what he would look at). I was very specific about my issues and what I needed help with so obviously I am thinking he is going to take a look at whats going on with my transmission. He calls me 2 hours later with a list of other issues with my vehicle and cant tell me anything about the transmission because thats gonna cost $90(Turns out a free diagnostic is a witch hunt not actually addressing your issue). He gave the impression that he was going to look at my transmission issue for free.(which makes sense when it comes to getting an estimate and I would assume they would hook up a computer to see what the transmission is saying. You know that one you get to use for free at any auto parts store.) I was just gonna pay to have it rebuilt but after he was completely disingenuous I called him out and he called me a prick which escalated quickly to names being called and him threatening to tow my vehicle. Some customer service. I will never go here and I would suggest no-one ever does.

Aamco in Crystal has been my go to Car Repair Shop ever since I brought my truck there last year. My ignition was locked up and I could not drive it. Aamco fixed it very fast and the price was reasonable. I had a thermostat fixed last summer and my water pump and other minor repairs recently fixed as well. My truck is running great. And I absolutely Love Kevin. He is very caring and pleasant to be around.Thank you Aamco!

You know it really hurt my feelings when I think I could trust someone then they do me wrong. I work hard for every thing that I have! It cost $2,571.93 plus $ 901.17 to fix my Chevy Tahoe I drove it for a few days then it wouldnt start. I took it back and was told it was something with the wiring and that was $100. Drove it for about a week and it stopped on me. Had another place check it out they said it was my fuel pump I said it was under warranty paid these guys $742 to fix that July 14th so I took it back to them they said its not the fuel pump its the fuel pump module and it will cost me $500 to fix. Really im so fed up with people getting over on me!

Our sons 2001 Ford Focus suffered major engine damage because a piston inside the engine broke under normal driving conditions. Not knowing what the problem was initially, we arranged to have it towed to Aamco Transmissions and Total Car Care of Crystal, MN for diagnosis and repair. Travis called us and informed us it suffered major engine damage and the cost of repair would be prohibitive. Travis then offered to try to locate a good used engine to install in the car. He searched the entire United States and found a low mileage good quality used engine for us. It was shipped to Aamco Transmissions and a Total Car Care, Crystal and installed in the car. There was not one single issue with the installation and work done. Travis and the staff at Aamco did an amazing job and turned a very unfortunate situation into a good outcome. I highly recommend them.

These guys are awesome!!! This is a family owned shop and they really do go out of their way to take care of you. My transmission was completely shot so I called around to get some estimates. Everybody was giving me a similar ballpark price so decided to go to Crystal Aamco because Ryan was by far the most polite and helpful guy I talked to. He had my car towed to his shop and gave me a free estimate. I already knew I needed a new tranny and he was very honest when I asked him how much it would cost - which I REALLY appreciated. There were never any surprises, I never once felt like I was being ripped off, I got my car back a day early, the customer service was awesome, and I ended up spendeing less money than I expected to!! My car is running great and I would absolutely recommend Crystal Aamco to anyone. Ask for Ryan or Travis and you will be taken care of.

The warranty company told me they dont cover a diagnosic fee (normally charged by shops), no problem there, THEY DONT CHARGE ONE!Then Rich not only found the problem quickly, he also handled all the warranty paperwork.After this great experience I went back for other things that I needed to pay for. They have consistantly done exceptional work, and beat the compitition in not only service but PRICE.I send my friends there now, and even they say they found their car guysDont take my word for it, bring your car there and see what they do first hand.
