Great staff with great drinks! I am always met with a warm hello, despite how busy it is :) you can really tell the baristas at this location are giving it their all through all of the shortages happening with all of the starbucks locations. they are also very patient with customers who dont know what to get if their favorite is gone, and give great alternatives that are just as yummy! thank you downer starbucks!!!

Just wanted to share this positive review of Cate a worker there who was awesome. She had great customer service and even crafted a drink for me not on the menu to suit my taste. Managers of this store be thankful you have such a lovely worker.

Thankfully this location is a quick walk from my work and it’s so easy to order and pick up quickly. Honestly I would consider this my “home store” since I come so often and the staff ALWAYS greets everyone and is super friendly. They have great recommendations if you are stuck on ordering a drink and are very good with coming in with recipes for drinks to try. Excellent people and excellent service!

Best cuppa mud, east side of the river. I’d recommend pike place (no cream or sugar).

I really like how they are set up that I can order on my phone grab my drink and get the heck out. I appreciate the safety protocols. Been afraid to go to any place like this since the pandemic but it was so nice to use their order and pick up feature. It’s a nice location and friendly people. I look forward to the day where I can wander in and talk to people but for now I like my grab and get our option!

Busy, friendly, but not very clean.

Ive visited Starbucks locations around the world. Its a ood place to get a predictably good cup of coffee and have a sit down while reading or getting a bit of writing done. The staff at this location are friendly and efficient, ahs it feels pretty much likes every Starbucks everywhere in the world, which is both a good and a bad thing.

I deliver food and these workers are always pleasant and great to talk to

I know its difficult to understand people with the face masks but honestly thought it was crazy how the person that was taking my order didnt know what the peach green tea and the guava tea was.. then when I read the name exactly how it said on the menu she corrected me by saying it was a green tea with peach okay got it! But still not sure why she wouldnt understand me and then have an attitude

One of our drinks was forgotten in our uber eats order and when I called to ask about it, I was told that she noticed that the driver had only one of our drinks as he was leaving but didn’t do anything about it. Have had many problems with this location forgetting items and saying they can’t refund me.

I actually got decent parking, a table, and coffee cake that was actually warm. Coffee was a bit on the strong side, though.

Very nice staff and a very well kept establishment. Ive not personally tried everything there, but what I have had like the Chai and croissants were very good!

Manager at the Starbucks humiliated and embarrassed me with such an evil tone over a lousy coffee bag. Workers are really nice and friendly tho, but I would not recommend do to the fact of running into the “manager” highly thinking in suing the place.

I actually like this Starbucks and the staff is super friendly. This may be just a personal pet peeve but I find it to be really annoying when the manager sits in the public area and conducts business. I dont want to hear about issues with employees or upper management, especially at top volume with other staff while they are working with customers.

Love this Starbucks! The people remembered me after visiting just 3 times. It is now my everyday Starbucks. They have great service and they are always on top of orders.

I was having a bad morning and striving to stay positive when Shannon the cashier shared a beverage with me. She had no clue the struggles I was facing or the burden she lifted with her simple act of kindness. The customers at this location made small talk with me and soon I was immersed in positivity and light. Thank you Starbucks for being a safe, inclusive, positive place for people of all walks to gather.

My drinks are constantly made wrong at this location and are never full like they should be. Every other Starbucks makes my coffee correct or is happy to remake my drink. The manager told me that’s how my drink comes and offer to add ice to my drink to top it off. I don’t advise getting drinks at this location.

Smaller store, so not a lot of work space. It is connected to a book store that allows you to bring your drink in as long as it is caped. Fast and friendly service.

Great puppacinos!

I went here recently to grab a coffee and study with a friend. We also got some of the prepackaged sandwiches and snacks, which were all very good. They have quite the variety. Nice atmosphere, too. Lots of natural light at this location and I think lots of UWM students come here regularly.

Have always been greeted well and served well here. Great vibe - Ive spent hours at a time here, as well as shorter meetings as well. Theres also an awesome little alcove with a couch and comfortable chairs. Lots of natural lighting too.

Everything about the place is classic Starbucks but my girlfriend and I have both had multiple experiences here with rude and confrontational employees. A cashier made me feel like an idiot for wanting to use a rewards card I had just signed up for. I also felt like I was inconveniencing them. It really made me not want to come back especially with better coffee available in the area.

That citrus tea or whatever was great. Extremely hot though.

Im a UWM student and Ive been here multiple times to study or hang out with friends. Ive always experienced great service, a relaxed environment, exactly what Ive ordered and a clean location. This place is a fond college memory that Ill remember for years to come.

Fast and friendly service

Ive had two awful experiences here. The one previous I had asked a male employee if a drink could be made decaf and he told me I had no buisness being in a coffee shop if I didnt know how making coffee drinks worked. Today, I came back and the service was sub par and the drink I ordered was awful. I ordered a nitro brew with sweet cream. I havent had the same experiences at other locations.

Very clean location. One of the best, most friendly, helpful and outgoing Starbucks staff I have ever experienced. Lots of seating room. Good environment.

Ive only been to this location a few times, but at least twice Ive asked for a peppermint hot chocolate and they gave me a peppermint mocha. I dont drink coffee. I dont like coffee.

Location is good, but the baristas are too talkative, sometimes they seem they forgot what their duties are. They made other customer stand next for a while because they are too busy with talking to each others. Its funny that the loudest sounds in this location come from barista, especially one with eyeglass. So noisy.

The Downer location has the best staff in the city!

I love that its attached to one of my favorite bookstores. Parking can be a little difficult, but the area is good to park and walk a block or two.

They are nice and the service is great when they are actually open on time the sign says they open at 5:30am there are times when I come to get coffee at 5:45am or 6:00am and the lights are off or the employees are waiting for the doors to open like the customers..... people just drive off or walk away.....its sad....

I would definitely revisit and recommend. They gave me the spark I needed to get my day started.

HORRIBLE Customer Service. Went at 7P on Thursday 05/18. Of the 3 women working 2 of them were so rude they shouldnt have a job there, specifically, the woman at the cashier (black hair) and the woman making the drinks (blonde hair). Overall attitude, demeanor, and complete lack of care for their work. I have never before experienced this and I frequent this location often. The other woman who was mopping was thankfully a delight. (details specified so as to note this is atypical for this location).

Unbelievable customer service! People sometimes forget how far quality customer service can go. Not here though! They are on point.

Thought I would give this location another shot.. but it failed again, the woman is just taking her time while I’m waiting in line .. just talking and he finally orders ... and she still doesn’t say anything to me and they continue talking even as I’m still waiting, she gets to the register and is like sorry that’s an old friend, like congratulations you can talk in your spare time instead of making paying customers wait forever !!!!

Walked over to grab a simple coffee, I asked what kind of Mild coffee they served at the time. The response i got from the barista was We have mild coffee At first I thought it was funny, then realized other people in line behind me were shocked at how rude the barista came off. Probably not going to spend my money here again.

This location is bizarre. Either you get awesome service, or youre inconveniencing them and theyre doing you a personal favor. I hope the rest of the place is cleaner than the front doors. I wouldnt recommend touching them with bare hands.

I came into this Starbucks on a Saturday afternoon.My experience here was not the best because the barista at the register wasnt welcoming. I didnt receive my receipt and I asked about the New Midnight Mocha and he wasnt knowledgeable of the product. What happened to the tradition of asking if a customer needs a receipt and taking their name for an order. I didnt receive excellent customer service as others listed. The barista behind the corner isnt friendly when picking up your order. Overall, the service was WHACK!

Wonderful staff and next door to a great bookstore

I am an easy going guy, but some of the Baristas here are not very welcoming. Specifically, one female barista with black hair is very impolite at this Starbucks. She has a chip on her shoulder. I have never run across this at any Starbucks. Baristas are always so nice. She ignores customers and chats with another impolite red head she is working with. (I include the gender and hair color only to point out it is not ALL the baristas here) I have gone here for years, but maybe cafe Hollander is a better choice to grab a coffee and a snack. I think it is time for a change.

One of the best Starbucks! The location is supreme. It is located next to an awesome bookstore. The place has ample indoor and outdoor seating to read, enjoy, rewind and relax. The best part is the little room with comfortable sofa and chairs.I have been going there to study for the last 12 days and ny experience has been wonderful. The reasoj I did not give it a ya five star rating is because of the untidy restroom. I get too fussy about washrooms and there it is not clean. The second thing is the Barista. All are awesome and warm and hospitable, specially Ellie, Larry, Hess and Samuel. But one other girl is non corteous and somethimes condescending. She is very cold!If she is not happy with her job, then shoe should not let the frustration be on her customers who are having a good day!

The cashiers/baristas NEVER ask me my name. My last two visits to this Starbucks Ive consciously paid attention to the person taking orders to see if I was the only one not being asked my name. I think its safe to say because IM BLACK the baristas assume I will have a complicated name and decided to not ask. In my opinion, having your name on your cup is apart of the Starbucks experience and my experience is less than! I always walk out of this location offended. So I will not be visiting again. Sucks because its the closest location to my place!And FYI - my visits were during peek times.

I’m a visitor but I did not like the atmosphere for this Starbucks location. I would rather get my coffee to-go instead of staying there.
