I liked this place. I liked the look of it, I liked the staff, and I liked the cup of Nicaraguan coffee that I got, I never had Nicaraguan coffee before. I gave it three stars because I purchased a bag of Ethiopian coffee to go but when I got home it definitely was not Ethiopian coffee. Ethiopian is my go-to coffee. I buy it from all over the United States when I travel, from east coast to West coast. It has a very distinctive smell and taste. This was not it. There was no Ethiopian on the shelf, but the girl behind the counter went in the back and filled up a bag for me. My guess is she put the wrong coffee in the bag by accident.

If I could give this place 6, 7, or 8 stars I would!This is my absolute FAVORITE coffee spot in the Milwaukee area.The space is adorable. Its a great place to work for hours. Sit and grab a coffee (or beer, or wine) with a friend. Or just relax. Its quiet, but not library quiet. They have a cute all of vintage radios. And, what looks like, a stage for entertainment. Im pretty sure they have live music later at night. Which, is my opinion, is so needed in Milwaukee!Coffee is great. Tea is great. Plus, they have some adult beverages for the evening visitors!If you find yourself in Milwaukee and looking for a coffee spot, I could not recommend this place enough!!!

We provided DJ service and photography for a wedding in late June. Erica was excellent to work with and the place is amazing. The space if loaded with character and Walkers Point industrial charm. On top of that the coffee is top notch. Highly recommend this place for a wedding reception and cold brew!!

We recently had our wedding reception at Anodyne. We are beyond in love with the venue and staff. Erica, the event coordinator, is one of the most amazing people we have ever met. She made everything flow seamlessly. She was there by our side the entire time - through two years of replanning our reception due to Covid. We cannot thank Anodyne enough, from the bottom of our hearts. I would rate this place one million stars if I could!

If I lived locally, I would come here to study and hang out. The Honey Bee latte was great.

A nice and very spacious coffee shop/roasting facility. The drinks are good and priced right. They also serve beer which gives you another option as well. They didnt have coconut milk when I went and I wish they had more board games or something similar to encourage you to hang out if you arent working on your laptop like everyone else.

Nice coffee shop by day and cool bar by night. They have a lot of live music. It’s fine for coffee and beer. It’s also an intimate venue for live music. The only problem with the music is the bare brick walls that can really wreak with the sound of the live music. The Twilight Hours are pictured.

Went here after brunch with some friends. Very relaxed and the staff was helpful with the coffee recommendations. Plenty of seating and long tables for games or working. They have Super Lucky Bars granola here which is fantastic. You could eat one of those and be good for the day. They serve coffee, beer and wine and some food. The coffee is ground at this location so it always smells wonderful.

The coffee always has aroma. Unique locations with good seating.

Really cool building with an industrial vibe and wood everywhere. We enjoyed an early cup of coffee and some peace and quiet before heading into the City once shops opened up. Its nice to get a real coffee mug to enjoy coffee in-house. The selection of bakery good were nice as well.

Great coffee shop. There were TONS of little kids. Got there around 1 on Saturday morning. A little crazy making but they all seemed happy. Crazy as it was, it was fun too.I recommend it highly. Great coffee an a really cool building. Check it out!

It was such an amazing experience to work with Anodyne as our wedding venue. Everything was super straightforward and there were no hidden costs or anything. I was thrilled with the personable service, unique touches, and how easy everything was to get done. Anodyne worked really well with our other vendors and made sure the night was one to remember!

As a performer this venue is amazing. The green room is beautiful and the staff is very supportive. My band has played here twice (once for a wedding once for Halloween) and we cant wait to play again.

Awesome place. If you are a person who love studying at cafe, this place might be your destination. They have really good coffee but it is extremely cheap for the quality. Some caveats are the place was little noisy and the tables in the middle dont have any power outlets. Still, there are ample seats around the wall and windows. You can easily find your best spot!

This is one of the best places to have coffee in Milwaukee. The design of the space is cool, the ambiance is nice, the people are great. In my opinion the coffee drinks are of higher quality than their competitors. The prices are reasonable and in line with the marketplace. Its a great venue to meet someone and talk business, or to work on your laptop for a few hours. Its the first place I think of when I think of comforting coffee joints. Not pretentious, just cool.

We had our wedding at Anodyne this past weekend and let me just say that everything was so perfect! Erica the wedding coordinator from Anodyne was a rock star! She was so easy to work with and responded quickly to our many emails. The bartenders were on point the whole night. The venue was cute & clean. Our guest total was 116 and we did not feel cramped. Our guests were raving about how adorable the venue was. I will update this review with photos once we get them back from our photographer. :) thank you all so much! We had a blast!

A really great friend of mine had his wedding here, so this was my first time to this location. Really cool venue and awesome vibe, great selections and a very organized attentive staff. Totally recommend you come check it out for drinks, coffee or just to hang out as its well worth your time!

My all time favorite coffee shop in Milwaukee. What is there NOT to say about this place. Its quite perfect.The coffee is the best in Milwaukee, in my opinion. The location is great. Its very spacious and has a rustic beautiful wood look inside. The staff are wonderful people.Its my go to spot to get work done in the afternoons and evenings (although mornings are really nice too). I typically have all my meeting at this coffee shop. Ive yet to meet someone who doesnt like visiting this place!If youre from out of town or a local, do yourself a favor and visit!

Fantastic coffee. I’ve been to a few of their locations and each provide a great atmosphere and coffee house experience. When I am not at one of their cafes, Anodyne coffee is the only coffee I use and enjoy at home. Highly recommend either their Mind Tonic or Nerve Tonic Espresso blends.

Great crew working behind the counter. The beans are roasted every few days, right there next to the serving area. I only had a couple different types of lattes, but both were deliciously well prepared. I bought beans for my personal machine.

I was at a wedding there on Friday night. The weather was very hot . They had AC, but couldn’t feel it in part of the hall.They need to have ceiling fans to help circulate The air.Other than that it was a very nice place.

Played a show there a few days ago. The most easy going and helpful place I’ve played at. Tim the sounds guy is excellent and thorough. Their PA is great. The green room is inviting and they have a lot of extra equipment. Highly recommended.

This location is beautiful inside and so spacious. I came here for Fiddle Fest and it was a lot of fun. There are an endless amount of evening events to attend here, but its also the perfect spot for doing the usual coffee shop activities: getting work done or chatting with friends. Flavor of coffee goes without saying.....

My wife and I love the coffee and the atmosphere. We try to go here as much as possible. The only drawback is every time some hipster wants to get married, they close early for an event. Its a good thing another (smaller) location is close by.

I hadnt been to this Anodyne in a while because their chairs were SO awful. BUT they got new chairs!!! I sat there with a friend for over 2 hours and had no issue with the chairs! This makes me really happy because I like their coffee and espresso a lot! Great atmosphere and its always fun to see a live music show or event here. Great space for small meetings and such as well.

What a gorgeous space and a great cup of coffee. I had an iced mocha with four shots of espresso and extra ice. The espresso had such a great flavor and the mocha wasnt so overpowering that I couldnt taste the coffee. The smell in the building is intoxicating. Seriously I want to move to Milwaukee so I can get coffee here everyday. I also had a cup of corn chowder and a slice of cake. Both were also very good! The barista who helped me was super cute and friendly too.

One of my all time favorite coffee shops. The Bee Sting with oat milk is my go to drink. They have great food as well. I love the set up of the shop as well, its great to spend a day working there. If you havent been to the one in Bayview I highly recommend going because they have the best pizza ever!

I love Anodyne so much. The place is so so cool, with plenty of places to sit and work. The coffee drinks are so good. But you can get wine or beer with a friend here too, which is the best part. Sometimes people are playing live music at night as well. This is my go to coffee shop to talk with friends or just work on my computer.

This is my favorite coffee shop. I docked one star due to horrible hours - randomly closed during business hours for events without warning. That is completely unacceptable. If not for that, I really love this place, so much room to get work done. And amazing coffee. The setting is an old laboratory. Parking is bad, get dropped off if you can.

Good little hangout for a cup of coffee or a tasty pastry. The coffee is often made well, not too watered down, not burnt; however, the portions may be a little pricey. The environment is amazing, with a wide range of people doing a wide range of activities at any given moment. Various different shows and events take place throughout the week, making it more than just a coffee place. The music can sometimes get a little loud, and it is sometimes too crowded for convince.

Awesome, unique coffee shop with full bar service and amazing bakery! Live events (most recent was an astrophysics presentation) are a fairly regular occurrence here. Great prices and quality of everything. Staff is super friendly and efficient.

Very nice place and atmosphere with kind and considerate staff. The only complaint is with the city of Milwaukee...why dont they plow their streets??? Were from Pittsburgh area and our streets get plowed and salted regularly to clear roads and walk ways of snow (like other cities). Milwaukee only salted the roads the 3 days we were there!!

I love Anodyne. I spend quite a bit of time here and am always extremely productive on whatever I am working on. In addition, they have great teas and, from what my sister tells me, great coffee. Try also have a nice selection of craft beers and wine as well as two ciders (McKenzies is my favorite!)

Great atmosphere, great Coffee. This a great coffee shop for working, studying or meeting with friends and clients. Freshly roasted coffee beans are also especially good for making coffee at home. Also makes for a great venue as I have been a guest of a few weddings here.

My favorite coffee in Milwaukee. Excellent roasts for drip brew coffee and espresso drinks. They now serve a variety of small plate foods. I dont think they serve full meals. They have a variety of beers on tap. Live music almost every weekend, with a usual cover charge. Otherwise, a quiet meeting place during the week with large tables for large work-groups.

Speaking only as someone who drinks their coffee and has not used it as a wedding venue. I think the coffee is good but it is a little acidic for my taste. The only thing that bothers me is if i stop there before work the line can get long. If i am looking for a place to study or get some work done though this place is a hot spot!

One for the most comfortable coffee shops around the south side. Really big space, beautiful large tables as well as little high boys scattered throughout. You can also peek into what I assume is their roasting area behind the bar.

Choosing Anodyne as our wedding venue was the best decision that we made throughout this entire wedding process. After having a hiccup with another venue being unresponsive, we literally just took a chance and walked into Anodyne requesting information. Lindsay (event coordinator) was available for us to talk to and went through what Anodyne offers and ideas to fit our needs. After leaving my now husband and I literally thought to ourselves should we just go in and give the payment now? They had us sold! Lindsay really knows what she is talking about and its very clear that she loves her job. Throughout my planning process she would check in with me, give advice, help me find vendors, and gave words of encouragement while we were stressed. I felt like I got a wedding planner with the cost of the venue and it was totally worth it. During the actual wedding Lindsay and the rest of the Anodyne staff did everything they possibly could to make sure our day went PERFECT. The building really speaks for itself but the service, coffee, drinks, and the amount of things we could customize really makes this a cost effective venue. I have already suggested Anodyne to other couples looking for venues. Thank you, Anodyne, for making our wedding day exactly what we wanted!

Delicious espresso drinks! Venue is spacious and quiet, perfect for reading, studying, or deep conversation with friends. Baristas really take their time with your drink. Its usually perfect, but stick to drip coffee if youre in a rush.

I had a great date night with my wife near by for food then she wanted some coffee. A happy wife = a happy life is my motto. The space is huge and it looked very nice, a place I couldve imagined going again. They said I had to purchase concert tickets in order to stay and enjoy a cup of coffee otherwise I could take it to go BUT could not stay, lol. Absolutely ridiculous to me however who knows maybe thats their thing a place for only concerts and coffee. Just doesnt make much business sense to kick a paying customer who has absolute no interest in the concert and money to spend. (They serve more than just coffee). Side note: concert started at 7pm I was there at 705 and the place was empty with no line. *no offense* just an observation.

You have to try it if they have itThe cake lady usually has something delicious (buttercream frosting)The staff is cool. They may not call you by name, but they know you and the act like it.The music is usually coolTheres plenty of space. Great coffee and I like the chill, rustic, ambiance. I enjoy visiting coffee shops primarily for the atmosphere and Anodyne has a relaxing atmosphere fit for both stopping by to do work and events. The one significant drawback is the seating - the seats are terribly uncomfortable, so events become less enjoyable and if I ever plan to do more than 30 minutes of work I chose any place but Anodyne.
