My husband and I needed new cars. We were dead set on getting Hyundai Tuscans so we went to Amato. After talking to their professional and knowledgeable salesman and taking a test drive, we knew a Mitsubishi was for us. We purchased 2 2022 Eclipse cross in May. We have never had any problems and now getting our first oil changes, we know we got the right vehicles. From show room to service professionals, we had an excellent experience. We look forward to driving our Mitsubishi’s for many many years and we will go now where except for Amato.
I have never been to John Amato Automotive before. However when I walked in the door, Lisa the receptionist greeted me as if I was an old friend. Ralph Price my Sales Rep also treated me extremely well. After the sale I contacted Mike in Sales also since I forgot an item in the vehicle. Mike was great also. When conducting business engaging the customer during downtime is essential to establish a relationship for future business and DO NOT ignore any parties involved in visit to dealership (No matter if they are the buyer or not). Also, other employees need to remain business-like while salesperson is conducting a sale. In no way should a customer hear about clubbing and drinking, or derogatory language being used in a business setting! The only good part was how hard the GM worked to get the better rate for customer.

I went to start my car and it did not start. Was going to have it towed to John Amato but got a jump instead. I did not have an appointment but called and talked with Chris about my issue. When I got there, Chris was very friendly and knowledgeable. I had to replace the battery. Chris answers all my questions regarding warranty and date on battery. Car was running in no time. I was under the impression that I couldnt go to John amato since I brought the car from Russ Darrow. I will start taking my car to John Amato from now on.

Super frustrating to schedule service to my 2017 Mitsubishi, which still has a warranty on it. I made an appointment through their website - specifically on their Mitsubishi website, and after making sure I saw on the offered services page that they dealt with parts under warranty - and was sent to their Hyundai service center appointment page. Assuming they just had one service center for all of the Amato dealerships in the vicinity, I didnt think much of it. I brought my Mitsubishi in for a worn belt, had it looked at, and was quoted $250; I declined the service seeing as a worn belt should be covered under warranty, and it *would have* been covered had their website set me up with an appointment at the MITSUBISHI center. I was charged $61.95 for the diagnosis of a worn serpentine belt (which I already knew was the problem) at the Amato Hyundai center - again, a diagnosis that would have been covered under warranty if their website had scheduled me at the correct location.I have tried calling their service center several times only to get a busy tone.If youre trying to schedule an appointment to get something under warranty on your Mitsubishi fixed, save yourself the trouble and schedule with the Russ Darrow location.The employees at the service desk at Hyundai were super friendly and understood when I declined the new belt. I just wish I hadnt wasted their time.

I paid 150.00 for a diagnosis that said I needed the rear left speed sensor. In reality a clip was broken on the wheel bearing that held the wheel sensor on. So once the wheel bearing was replaced the original speed sensor was reattached and worked fine. I feel once the diagnosis stated what the problem was the mechanic could have gone an extra step to examine the speed sensor. If that would have happened they would have seen the speed sensor hanging there. I was also told I needed a battery which I purchased from an auto parts store. The sales advisor said when I got the battery 90% of the warning lights would go off. No lights went off.

Dont go to them because theyre giving bad cars to customers who are trying to get their credit back right. The repair department takes 3 weeks to repair a car. Very poor customer service.
Amato has always been able to get me in for service whenever I needed it, even working me in on short notice. I have used them for all my service on my Mitsubishi Outlander, and I appreciate their attention to detail.
First new car. Last new car. Will never buy from a dealership, trust their warranty, or service department. Especially, John Amatto Mitsubishi, or anything Mitsubishi again. This entire situation had been documented, and presented to my legal council, as well as a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau. Mitsubishi wins as Worst car experience ever!!
Had a service appointment there today. Nobody wore a mask or practiced social distancing. And thats still within the city of Milwaukee. Interesting. Otherwise, I got the service I expected. Would give four stars but for the mask issue.
Would give it 0 stars if I could. They are the absolute worst dealership to deal with!!! BUYER BEWARE!!! My sales consultant was great but their manager Lisa Williamson is the reason why people hate buying cars. It was late at night and she said she had to wait to submit my application until the next day which I understood because I know my credit isn’t the best. She told me I would hear from someone the next day which I didn’t. It took me 5 days to finally get an answer from her. When I would call to the dealership she’d answer the phone and hang up. When I Finally got in contact with Lisa she told me I was approved with $1500 down. It took me a few days to get all of the money together. Once I got it I wasn’t able to get an answer from Lisa again. I got in contact with the finance manager Erika and she was able to help me get an answer. When I got to the dealership Lisa told me I had to put at least $5000 down and I asked her what happened to the $1500 and she just gave me the run around. When Lisa went over my payments on a new car there was almost $3000 added to the price of the car. When I asked her what it was for she told me it was for an interior and exterior protectant package and because there was a fee from the bank for me to purchase the car. I told her I didn’t need the protection package and she told me the bank wouldn’t approve my loan without it. I’ve Financed a few cars and have never heard this before. I needed a car bad so I didn’t have a choice but to purchase is. I felt like I was robbed and taken advantage of because I needed a car and didn’t have good credit. Then when I came to sign my paperwork at the dealership I was sitting in The waiting area and Lisa screamed from her office at an employee that was talking to another customer. She is definitely a shady and unprofessional person that lies and I will tell all of my family and friends do not go to Amato Mitsubishi so they don’t have to deal with Lisa and her lies. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and the WI department of transportation. I’ve been trying to contact Someone in the corporate office for the last 10+ days and no one will return my calls.
Mark was very helpful and curtious in the sales department and made sure any of my questions or concerns were taken care of. There was never any high pressure sales in any of the transactions

My wife and I may have driven away with a great vehicle, but it wasnt worth the migraine.Our sales person was fantastic. She is not the reason this review is what it is. From beginning to end she was polite and attentive.The other staff we dealt with during this process were misleading and unprofessional. The finance department sent our contract to the wrong lender, who called and harassed us to finish the process. When I called to ask them to fix this, the person I spoke with was argumentative and insisted the lender calling me was the correct lender. He was admittedly wrong and said hell straighten it out.A couple weeks later we both received a rejection letter from the lender that we did go with, which left us ultimately confused! I called and left a message with the finance department, who lacks propriety in customer relations. I never received a call back.For two weeks we had no idea what was going on! Did we have a new vehicle? Who is our lender? When is the payment due? When I called the lender (the correct lender) they couldnt see the vehicle on my account. They indicated that it can take a while to show up, so the only perspective we had was this information, a letter stating we were rejected and no return call from the dealership; anyone would be frustrated at this point.This concern has been resolved, but not because John Amato was interested in being helpful. After logging in a couple days ago to our account with the lender, our vehicle was finally posted.John Amato might get you into a great vehicle, but the experience itself was long with poor communication. You might have a great experience, but ours was/is not 2nd chance worthy.

I purchased a used vehicle from there and it had a hard vibration when In drive and applying the breaks. It gets even worse when I turn on the a/c! They thought it was the motormount in which they supposedly changed but Im still having the same issue.

Great experience buying a new Mitsubishi from Amato! I am not sure what all the negative comments are about, and maybe it varies based on location or previous staff....but JR was awesome at finding a great car at a very reasonable price for us....Walter handled the payment perfectly, and Darrell did a great job of walking through all the features and functions of the car so we would know how to work all the bells and whistles! Then they drove us around to the Service Department to introduce us to the Service Manager so we would know where to go when it comes time to do the routine maintenance. Customer service was great! They even had balloons on the car when we arrived to pick it up to celebrate our purchase! Total process from start to finish was easy and seamless!
I went to get my car service and it was too much to fix my car I was so upset. I went to the dealership and I bought a car that day the special shout out to the financial person I been knowing for year helped me .she know who she is👍

This place will literally call, text, and email you to the point of harassment, even if you tell them youre not interested. The manager told me he would take me out of the system and make a note that I wasnt interested yet I just got another phone call. Stay away they will not leave you alone.
No stars they are ripping people off the manager LISA needs to be demoted for being a lier and her nasty attitude. They lie and say the have cars and then dont when they know someone bought them and the rest of the crew just be quiet while she argues with customers. Very poor service

Been dealing with them over 2 years. Just upgraded my car and it was pretty pleasant. I was basically in and out with trading 2 in and driving off with 1 within 4 hours. All the staff is very friendly and helpful and seem to know me by name. And Chris in service is the only person who can touch my cars now. If somethings wrong, he makes sure its handled timely and hes always honest! If ever in the market again, this will be my first stop, and hopefully my last!

Waited 20 minutes on lot, looking around for someone to come out. Didnt happen. Went inside to find someone. Was told someone would be out in a minute. Waited another 15 minutes. We were looking at vehicles 1 to 2 years old. Very dirty. Not washed on outside, filthy on inside. Exteriors had scratches, bare metal, etc. Extremely disappointed in the experience here. Would not recommend.

Gave verbal confirm that we would buy the vehicle but was wanting for insurance check. He suggested we put down payment to hold the vehicle. I gave him $250 on credit card and set closing date of 9/9/ Came in and signed the paper work wrote the check. Went outside to look at the vehicle and it was not the one we test drove and missing the cargo tray and rear bumper applique. Sam said the rest drive was sold and this was the closest he could fine. I would not have given $250 to hold a vehicle you did not have. Eventually it was agreed to supply the 2 missing items at no charge. The applique had to be installed. Sandi brought the car in and after an hour was told (by Jason I believe) that the install went bad and need to get another part. Came in the second time and after an hour was told the wrong part shipped. Came in for the 3rd appointment and had a successful install. Total time wasted including travel time from Slinger WI 6 hours.The vehicle was to be title in the name of our Trust. The title came back in name of Sandra Staves. Another visit to sign paper work required to correct. Your office people assured us that they did everything right and the DMV pulled the name out of thin air. Not likely.I am still considering conveying this info directly to Hyundai. Purchased a 2017 brand new from Amato. I was in the service center and asked for new wipers (the one and only time the blades have been off my SUV). Some time later my windshield cracks. After I noticed that the spider web started right under where the windshield wiper arm comes down. They had let it slam down at some point when relacing the blades. There is no possible way it happened any other way. When I realized what happened amato would not pay for the total damages. Apparently my vehicle was equipped with a smart windshield and would be almost $2000 to fix. When I didnt break it the service department did. Beware. They do not care if they damage your vehicle!
This place is extremely unprofessional I purchased a 2017 Mitsubishi from them and I just totaled the car August 5th a few days later I went into the office and told them I needed some documents faxed from their office to the gap insurance claims office . The gap insurance specifically wrote in the email “ have the car dealership fax such and such documents” with that being said I went in person and asked to see the finance manager I was told they were busy and to write down everything they needed and my contact info and they would fax it the following Monday ( two days later) it has now been just about 3 weeks and I have called 7 times literally speaking with different people I even forwarded the email to them from the gap insurance claims place and today I called for the 7th time and left a message for the supposed finance manager. I have until September 5th to get al needed documents in or else the gap insurance will not pay off my vehicle ... for a car dealership to be these unprofessional I will not even purchase my next Mitsubishi from them. It’s sad I have to take this to social media.
Potential Employees beware! This place likes to fire 🔥 it’s employees without explanation. I heard one being fired for no reason at all! They didn’t give explanation or anything. Also, this dealership is a bunch of crooks and lazy people walking around. Clearly they don’t care about what car/customer service you get if they can’t even properly take care of their internal customers (their employees) there are many more options for car buying and this isn’t the place at all! The worst service ever! I waited 2 hours for a oil change and was there only 1 car the queue. I was looking at the guy, and he was working on my car with headphones, walking around, slowly, thinking, relaxed.... this is incredible an abuse.

Didn’t like my experience. Indeed I have very challenged credit, I still should have been told the whole process. I came in on a Saturday, test drove and before they even talked to a bank they swiped my card, had me wait an hour, and told me to return on Monday. I got off around 2pm and they still had no decision. So the sales mgr Now informs me it’s a 3 day process. Never have I heard of that. More like 3hrs. I asked will my money be refunded today so I can go buy another car, sales mgr said yes. Which was a lie. What took 30secs is now gon take 3 days for me to get it back. So now I’m outta more money for Uber. And borrowing money to get to work cause they got my money held up. Yea my credit is jacked and I’ve been working on it jus was there too many hours to not have gotten whole spill but they made sure they had them lil dollars. Unpleasant all the way around
