D & J was awesome. My truck and trailer broke down late at night. They didn’t have the part until morning. Which they told me an exact time. And they where right on the money. The repair my 2020 doge ram 3500 in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend them. The front desk was friendly and all the mechanics was very nice. 5 star all day. Mac One Transportation!!!!!!!

Wow! These place is great! Took my 06 Ford Superduty (6.0L) in because of an overheating issue and an ABS light that was on. The overheating issue was caused by a fan clutch wire that was disconnected when I had a different shop bullet-proof it awhile ago. They re-connected it and even drove it up to place that my truck overheated at a week ago (Parleys Summit) to make sure that it was OK still. The ABS light was on due to a bad speed sensor that they replace for a reasonable price. In retrospect, I should have tipped Dustin, I am sure that I will have a chance again someday :) Anyone you talk to in this shop is super-friendly and patient. Anyway, these guys just won over a loyal customer in the future!

Then, I showed up 20 minutes early for the appointment and they started working on it right then.. totally smooth move. Then, they asked if I was in the military and I said I was, so they offered me a discount! Got my truck done quickly and sent me cruising to work with a smile on my face. I have two 7.3 diesels and I always bring them to D & J for all needed maintenance. I always get great service at a reasonable price. They were able to solve on ongoing check engine issue that my prior mechanic was unable to and they have continued to earn my business ever since. Competent and great to work with.

My 7.3 Obs was having some serious idle issues, I replaced a bunch of parts trying to fix it myself. After lots of anxiety and apprehension I finally gave up and called D&J, the day I took it in they called me with questions and updates, which I appreciate. By the end of the day my truck was fixed for about half the price I thought it was gonna cost me. Now my truck runs like brand new and I couldn’t be happier. These guys have been great. I own a landscape/property maintenaince company with five Ford 99-02 7.3 deisels. They have been nothing but knowlegeable, honest and timely in repairs. Anytime I have a quick question on a minor repair over the phone they are always there to help. They have also gone out of their way to do minor repairs I could not perform at minimal to no cost. D and J has earned a loyal customer for life with any of my diesel repairs. I would highly highly recommend them

Good all around service and will go out of way to help you if a problem arises after truck leaving shop had them install a motor in my 6.7 powerstroke back in January the motor lasted about 2 months after installation exhaust came off at motor about 2-3 weeks after installed and lots of loose parts along with an oil leak 3 days after leaving shop but they will work with you the best they can it wasn’t Dustin or scuba that dropped the motor in I’m not sure whoever the other “mechanic” was he did the work. I live in east Texas but always made a point to stop by and let Dustin do maintenance work etc while around SLC. After this borderline putting me out of business being the truck sat in their shop for 6 weeks and endless problems literally starting 3 miles up the interstate It’s sad after I got frustrated kind of like I was told to overnight the turbo and it sat in floor for a week Idk why they wouldn’t naturally expect someone to be livid when we just threw 200$ in the sky for overnight delivery. if this was a retaliation of me being angry or he plain just doesn’t know you can’t just hand start bolts on anything for that matter much less a motor i was taken advantage of big time the price of the motor install doubled when we got truck out I don’t do business this way hopefully they will see what has been done it’s very sad when they call ahead of time and say oh and your not gonna have an engine warranty due to something they had done in past. I guess that’s a good way to stand behind your own labor. Hopefully they treat the locals better. The guy that shot the motor in the same one that called me on the phone about the warranty maybe he gets satisfaction over failing folks I’m not sure all in all 5 stars to D&J diesel of Midvale Utah. 0 effort whatsoever asking them please let’s get it going didn’t even pull the bad motor until 8-10 days after the one I ordered to be installed.

D&J does a great job on diesels and at a reasonable rate!

Dan J Diesel sent me oil cooler that had a faulty thermostat when the engine was hot it closed the thermostat putting hot oil back into the engine IE bypassing the oil coolers. This caused the engine to over heated engine and damaged the cooling system. So far D&J have been very difficult to deal with for a return of the system.

I was stranded after my excursion had an injector go bad. They had me back on the road in a couple hours and gave me a great price. Thanks guys.

Replaced my starter which blew up and it had to be replaced again. Same truck went back to them for a high pressure oil leak, my truck was never properly diagnosed so they replaced 4 good injectors (which I had just replaced a few days prior to taking them the truck), ICP sensor, IPR Valve and high pressure oil pump...PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE. After all this they finally diagnosed the truck properly while it was hot and found the issue which has yet to be disclosed... picked up the truck and THE NEXT MORNING the truck the injectors they just replaced on the freeway which dumped diesel out the exhaust. Brought the truck back. They replaced the injectors and found they didnt get the bolts on the hold downs tightened correctly (THEIR WORDS). Took the truck home and its never been right since. Its now at Gillette because the ICP sensor was not replaced correctly... Bottom line, over $4k wasted on repairs that DIDNT solve the ISSUE and WERE NOT THE SOURCE OF MY ORIGINAL PROBLEM, THEN ALL THEIR NEW REPAIRS FAILED ANYWAYS... The guys are awesome but I seriously got screwed by this shop. Dustin left GILLETTE to start his own shop but you may be better off at a shop that has all the proper equipment and tools to diag your truck correctly.
