Bakery items I’ve tried before are great, the omelette sandwich is good as well and the pastries on display look fresh and yummy. It just sucks that they are not up to date with technology yet. I went in and only had a $100 bill which they don’t accept (understandable, just a heads up) and I had forgotten my credit cards at home so all I had was my phone on me and for my luck they also don’t take Apple Pay.The customer service I received was alright.
It used to be such a nice, clean and nice atmosphere place. I have been going for years. I dont know if theres a new owner or management. Only one person taking care of the customers. Doors to the back opened while the have dirty water in a bucket and try to clean. Tables are always dirty. I have to clean the table every time I want to sit down. Very unpleasant.
🥟 Although its products are good and reasonably priced, this bakery should also focus on the quality of its cleaning, starting with its windows and main door, ending with hygiene when handling food and its packaging. Its unhealthy and unacceptable that servers are eating and with dirty hands attends customers ☕
My absolute favorite bakery of all time. Ive been going here since 2007. You would be foolish to come to Miami without visiting Ricky Bakery. The pastries are inexpensive and so delicious. Some personal favorites: chicken croquettes, guava pastry, and of course a cafe con leche. All for a great price!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have NEVER wrote a review but today definitely called for one. I called to place a pick-up order due to limited lunch time. The lady on the phone barely had any effort to provide customer service through the phone. I was beginning to place my order when she cut me off and said she didn’t have the time to talk to me through the phone because she had a lot of people waiting. She said “I’m going to start on your sandwich but the rest of the stuff will have to wait until you get here”. As if I wasn’t a customer who’s going to be buying. When I arrive, there was NO-ONE except a gentleman already eating. Mind you, there were 3 employees working. I get it, places get busy but the AUDACITY to tell me in Spanish “I don’t have time to talk to you” really did it.
I have not had the opportunity to try anything from the Rickys bakery menu yet but my review is based on an incident I had with one of his drivers. Said driver damaged the rear view mirror of my car and no matter how much I tried to stop him, he ignored me. Contacted owner Rick who immediately apologized and promised to pay for the damage. Today April 9, 2021 he answered my call and will fulfill what was promised. I wish all business owners take responsibility for their employees and stood up for their mistakes. I will update tomorrow once the agreement is confirmed. Will update the stars as well.04/12/2021 Fulfilled his promise. Conchita is very proper and bakery looks very good. Happy with the outcome.
They deserve a zero rating. Went to buy my mother’s 82nd birthday cake. Walked in a waited for ever to be attended while the lady wrapped up her personal conversation with another employee. Finally she came over, I selected a cake and asked her if she could write happy birthday on the cake and she said NO. I thought she was joking so I asked again and she said the lady who does that had just left. So I asked her if no one else’s in the bakery could do it and she said NO. So I told her I didn’t want it anymore and I left. Maybe if she wouldn’t have been talking so much, the employee would have still been there to write it. Amazing that a bakery doesn’t have staff that can do this!!
We just placed an order online with Grubhub which specifically stated the items we wanted and paid for. We ordered 10 croquetas, 6 of them were spinach and cheese. We were sent all 10 ham and chicken (which we did not order and nobody at this office eats) the spinach and cheese ones were for the vegetarian in the office whom is now going to go without having lunch for another hour due to your staffs inability to prepare an order correctly or advise if they are out of an item. We also ordered a Ricky Steak Sandwich and 2 Pan Con Bistecs. None of which came with any of the ingredients they are supposed to. I am attaching photos of them all so that you can see for yourself that none of these sandwiches look any different nor have any of the aforementioned supposed ingredients. No lettuce, no chorizo cantinpalo, no onions, just a piece of steak, ham and some potato fritters. From the pictures can you yourself differentiate which one was supposed to be the Ricky and which one was supposed to be the regular Pan Con Bistec? This was a $60 order for delivery. We have had to throw the entire order away as these items are inedible. I have called 3 separate times and been advised that there are no managers available because they are busy with orders. The lack of costumer service is so unprofessional.
Second time it happens. Today I called to order a croissant with EGG and Cheese and a medium cafe con leche. Picked up my order on my way to work. Once I arrive to work and ready to have my breakfast I come to find out they gave me a croissant with HAM, which I am allergic to pork!, and cheese and the cafe con Leche cup was filled half way. So I was charge for a medium coffee and given the portion of a small.
Went tonight, little after 5:30p, horrible service. They close at 6p and the girl working the counter didnt want to be bothered. Not a pleasant visit.
I had not been to Ricky Bakery #2 Coral Way for over two years, although I live within walking distance. I was disgusted to see the garbage in front of the store. I know the area in front of the stores is public property however, the businesses are supposed to maintain it clean. Makes you wonder how their kitchen looks.....It would take a few minutes a day for a Ricky Bakery employee to maintain the front area clean. Is good for Business and good for the Community.
The best bakery ever. Super nice, amazing food, super clean over all 5 stars
We ordered pastelitos quesitos croquetas & sandwiches, and did not received sandwiches. We drove to Boca Raton and when we got there for the party everyone was disappointed.
Stale bread, soggy fries, rubbery eggs and the wrong croquetas. I ordered codfish and they sent us ham. Breakfast was ruined at the office that day. And no, dont blame the delivery driver; she delivered the food fast and it was still hot, just really, really bad. I have never before left a bad review for a restaurant in my life, but this was not a case of a mediocre experience, the food was simply awful.
Teresita and the manager are the sweetest. I forgot to add a cafe con to my post mates and I called to add it but they said it’s fine not too charge me. I love them super nice. Five stars.
Very happy with my order. Excellent.
This place is good when it wants to be, its very expensive for what they offer especially since competing bakeries(like Vickys or any mom and pop places) match well in quality. The staff can be rude if you dont know what you want since they are always in a hurry. If you live on the coral way area, i recommend it but dont waste your time if youre out of the area, you definitely find something better.
Coming in from Philly for a few days I didn’t think I’ll stumble across some fire Empanadas made me feel like my moms made it from scratch. #Vote2020
Friendly service. Loved it.
Worst place ever . The breakfast was horrible . I ordered through Uber eats and the scrambled eggs were burned . The juice was not natural . I am so disappointed.
The breakfast is good, a bit annoying that they require a minimum of $5.00 to use a credit card but I wasnt going to start world war 3 over it. My only complaint over the food is the croquettes, I have been here twice and they are always cold and stale. The reason I even bothered getting them the second time was because I didnt reach the $5.00 minimum. Overall I still would prefer Pinecrest Bakery over this place. Remember, this is my opinion, I do know some of the neighborhood residents will hate me for this review but sometimes you have let someone from the outside give their opinion as I never visit the place so I have no ties to employees or management.
Your employees need to learn what customer service is the lady yelled in front of all the customers trying to tell me she couldnt grab the customers order by name. Im quite sure that your ignorant and cant read because it blatantly says the customers name on the order paper. Thanks for proving ignorance is not bliss .
Whenever Im in the area, I always visit for the Cafe con leche and the pastries.
My husband and I can’t just going home without stop in this wonderful bakery. The Cuban pastries (cheese, guava, coconut, guava-cheese) are the best I have tasted in Miami. All is delicious, and the cakes are amazing! The service is very good, I want to highlight Katia’s. She is quick, organized and friendly. I highly recommend to visit it.
The guava pastelitos here are by far the best in Miami.
Great pricing. You get a lot of food for a small price which I love. Highly recommend! Dont suggest coming here on a Saturday morning unless you want to wait 30 mins.
Wonderful bakery, in the periphery of the Miracle Mile area. Excellent sweets with a combination of others snacks more in the cuban style cuisine. Great customer services, a family oriented place with great hospitality and housekeeping. It has a few tables inside, as well as plenty of parking on the side. Simply the perfect place for breakfast or order the family birthdays cake.
Atmosphere and food reminds me of Virginia Beach.
If you are from out of town, this is a great place to get authentic Latin food and pastries. The cafe con leche was amazing and everyone was so friendly and helpful, especially Yamile! She is a bright personality and made us feel welcome.
I have ordered through Uber Eats on a lot of occasions. They always forget to put something and today it was the french fries. They are plainly thieves. I will never order from this dishonest business.
Amazing place delicious 100% recomended
Such delicious pastelitos! Highly recommend and a big thanks to Conchita and her team she really went above and beyond to fulfill my order and our cake looked fantastic! Definitely one of the best bakeries in all of Miami
GREAT FOOD. BAKERY IS GREAT TOO..
Horrible service and just no regard for the consumer. I watched two different people complain about larger pick up orders and the whole staff was just ignoring these people. My personal issue was we ordered three different plates and they gave us two and we waited for the third fir twenty minutes unacceptable.. and the food was cold. 😡
Very nice place and excellent food
Awful preparation, food is mushed and they obviously have no reading skills. Many other bakeries in miami and even Coral Way that are better
Im short Ricky Bakery was the bomb back on the days, not any more . There is not quality check on the product. Cake can be setting there for a long time and no body realizes that until a customer gets the pass do cake. Same with the sandwiches . Just came tobe an other Cuban cafeteria for coffe and guava pastriesHope this review help to get them back in track.
Any business that wants you to pay that 5 buck minimum is a scam. The coffee is 3.80 for water and sugar thats more than enough to let me run a credit card to pay. But not here. Theyre too cheap to pay the 15 cents or just charge it to you. You have to buy at least 5 bucks worth to use a card. What a joke. The place is drab lighting is bad doesnt smell like a bakery and the ladies pay no attention to you they wait until their boss says something to them. I wouldnt return or recommend.
This bakery is second to none. Pizza pastel is my favorite, tostada with butter to perfection. I do recommend, a bit pricey but you get what you pay for
The guava and cheese pastries are wonderful! The coffee was fantastic as well!
The best bakery I have been to! If you look on their site you can see an amazing assortment of custom cakes! So good definitely worth a visit
Friendly staff... especially Yamile. :) The cafe con leche was so good!
I called bakeries last minute for my sons birthday cake and really didnt know what to expect. The Curious George decorations on the cake were so cute and the cake was the best, most moist chocolate cake Ive ever had. I am writing this review as I am finishing my 4th piece. Hana! Everyone raved about the cake. Will definitely be going back.
Amazing food and customer service. Will totally come back I loved it!
It is a place where you can find typical Cuban pastries and coffee. I like to go for a week day snack after work. The Pastelitos are crunchy and tasty. You can also order party plates.
Best pastelitos in Miami! I stop in here when I want to bring something special to clients and when I am closing new customers. I live in Hialeah, and have Cuban bakeries everywhere. But no matter where I bring treats from, they always ask me to bring these again!Tim
Went in there for a small orange juice and they charged me 6$ for that. What a scam.
Ricky Bakery is the bomb. So many choices. My go to breakfast is revuelto con tocino. And pastries are ridiculously good.
Aside from the usual need of having to force their chatty ladies to stop their complaining to actually serve you.... I was disgusted at finding the simplest of ham/cheese empanada be ruined because they were too lazy to actually cut the ham inside. Instead it was rolled up in whole slices!- who does that? How lazy can you be? It’s Not a wrap.... but I guess if you’re looking for Cuban bread and croquetas you’ll be fine. Otherwise there are so many better bakeries on Miracle Mile— turn around, and keep looking.
BEST bakery in Miami hands down. I feel like driving over there writing this review lol 😊
Great food, great service. Clean seating area and service. Off street parking available.
Ok place. Service is first come first to get their attention. Spanish is a must if you want prompt accurate service. Food is fair.
The best Cuban bakery in the area in myOpinion. Great coffee and tostada.
Great food, quick service. Opened before and after the hurricane which was a very big help. Didn’t get to 5 stars because they use a weird sugar on the cheese pastellitos, taste like a Publix one which it shouldn’t.
The pastellitos arrived hot and fresh! Taste amazing. Highly recommend!
Deliciously wide selection of different varieties of baked goods, along with tasty sandwiches, beverages, and other food items. Excellent quality and very flavorful, overall! Moreover, the customer service here is speedy.
The pastries are really good but theres one issue here the parking lot as a tremendous mess if you dont park where youre supposed to park they were told your car you need to take care of this problem because if I go in and I parked where Im not supposed to park Im not going to be able to park and buy anything anymore this is beginning to be a real pain he goes before you can park anywhere when you didnt have a problem now if you park where youre not supposed to you may have a chance that they tow your car just to go in there and get some quick bites really you need to fix your situation and put it back the way it was because like me theres a lot of angry customers that dont like what happened in the parking lot
This stuff is anything but bacon!
A great choice of products. Fresh orange juice, croissants or pastries. Weve hzd à great breakfast.
How can you screw up cuban coffee in miami? Go to this place. Breakfast dry and stale. The way to order anything follows chaos theory. Most pastries are pretty good.
I called in for a pick up order for a birthday cake, and it was ready upon arrival. The ladies were so sweet, they made it a real pleasure ordering with them!
We like the dulce de leche eclairs
Awesome place for Cuban staples. Not much English is spoken here, if any. Dont let that deter you from trying their pastries and deserts. Always fresh and always delicious. Just point to what you want. The lady fingers are great. Their tres leches cake is the best. My favorite is their guava and cheese empanadas. I cannot get enough of them. I come here all the way from Hollywood FL just to get their pastries.
Not happy. I placed a delivery order for 2 ham croquetas and toast and received 2 fish croquetas and toast. Is it really too much to expect the ticket to be read correctly? When one stops to think there are some people that operate on the human brain and others that cant put together a simple order of pastries, its pretty disconcerting.
Love Their Pastries As They Are Better Quality And Upscale Cuban~Style.
Drove all the way from Delray Beach. No AC and hardly any pastries. This was on a Thursday at 2:pm. The woman behind the counter ignored us. We left. What a disappointment!
Friendly ladies and great food. However, I waited over 30 minutes for a steak sandwich and a chicken sandwich. It shouldnt have been that slow.
Today in day this place is the best place to start the day for the attention of its people and for the variety and the reasonable prices
Great food but parking is a different story. Need more parking
They made a mistake 2 times made my wife drive back 2 times because they kept giving her the wrong empanada, on top of that the old ladies don’t even care, SERVICE IS HORRIBLE EVERY TIME I COME HERE! I hope the owners of this place would stop acting blind and DO SOMETHING!! by the third time we came around I threw everything away and you guys STILL KEPT MY MONEY!! DONT COME TO THIS BAD SERVICE BAKERY!
Their baked goods are, well, good. The only issue is that they arr incredibly slow to serve and to get paid.
Great for fast pick up of pasteles and croquetas for Sunday breakfast
I ordered the croissant De desayuno through postmates all the way to Miami beach. It is hands down the best and largest breakfast croissant I have ever had!
Best Ricky bakery in town. Sweets and croquetas are so good!
Good food, good prices, noisy staff, wait too long to be served.
Not sure just this time but the Cuban not as good as other times. Parking is terrible
The service is horrible the cashier was very rude like she hated her job. I have been to other Ricky Bakery and have never had such bad service. I asked for a wheat turkey sandwich and she looked at me like if I was wierd and it was something out of this planet to ask for no cheese and that is very rude because you can ask for soemthing how ever you want it. She made two sandwiches for another customer that was sitting in a table and she screamed hey kid come get the sandwich !!! That was just horrible and she should get another job that has nothing to do with customer service.
Most delicious bakery I’ve ever been too. Las mejores croquetas de espinacas se encuentran ahi. Everything there is delicious including breakfast. But customer service SUCKS BIG TIME !! What a shame!!
I really love this place. Love all the pastelitos and the croqueta de espinaca. I have been coming here for years and the cuban ladies are always attentive and sweet.
Good selection of assorted pastries the customer service is lacking so is proper signage but the prices are good and cheap. Try a sandwich Riky style for more flavor cream cheese and chorizo filling to top it off.
Empanadas arent that great and over priced food.
Ordered a steak and egg sandwich it was delicious
Great bakery I have Cuban Colombian and Argentina pastries and empanadas
Good place good food good service
This is the best Cuban bakery in all of Miami. Everything is fresh and delicious.
Great cafe con leche and Cuban baked goods.
I was at this place around 7.00 pm on Jan 20th 2017, I had very horrible and worst experience in my whole life . I walked into the store and I asked them in English to give a pastry and very immediate, rude response from an old lady cashier with galsses _This is a cuban restaurant no English and she was talking to other old lady next to me in spanish in a very sarcastic way. I felt that sacrasicum. There was no politeness when they recieved me . I have been to many cuban places but this is the worst place they dont treat customers politely because the customer like me does not speak spanish . I felt that this bakery should have a sign board only spanish speaking are allowed. The cashier actually tested my nerve . I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Love the spinach and beef pastelitos (and the sandwiches de miga!) Theres never parking avail FYI!
Pastries and desserts are great! Great prices too
The empanadas are very good also the coffee and deserts
Crazy busy sometimes but always delicious!
