I’ve always had a good impression of the store and the variety of costumes you sell. However, our experience was not pleasant this year. My daughter bough a $40+ pair of blue boots for her Halloween costume and they got destroyed on the first use! At the moment she put them on, they started to crack from the middle line. She put some crazy glue thinking that would solve the problem since it was a small crack, and went out to her party. When she came back the boots were all broken. It is not acceptable that you buy a pair of shoes for just one use and throw them to the garbage. If you know that they are so bad quality, at least charge a few bucks instead of almost $50. Please consider evaluating this issue to avoid future customers’ disappointment.I am attaching a couple of pictures of the boots here.

It’s small and the hallway is tight. At first it feels disorganized but it isn’t. There’s lots computers along the counter with their inventory. Find what you’re looking for and write down the item number. A worker will come to you and go get it for you. The staff is very nice and helpful. Best costume store in Miami!

After being in line for one hour and receiving terrible customer service, my costume broke after 10mins of wearing it. $70 to the garbage.

Very small and crowded, but amazing inventory. You can find just about anything costume/prop related. Local business Im happy to say I visited as a child as well as an adult.

I came to get a costume for a 70s party and they had what i came for and there was so much at party city they had nothing empty over there but here its like wow amazing they had necklesses they had and they went perfect with the costume i will be coming for anything here

Our local costume rental shop wanted to ream us for a rental. We purchased a superior costume for less than they wanted to rent to us. STILL using that (Ice Queen) costume to this day. Just had a client want a Frog Princess (for leap year) and the only decent dress online was going to take 54 days from China! We needed it in 3 days. The House of Costumes came through again! $30.00 less to own the actual costume we wanted, as opposed to the local costume shop slapping together a hypbrid from two different dresses. We LOVE this place and theyre our new go-to for costumes needed.

There is not enough words to express how great this place is. I have been going there for over 20 years for all my SFX makeup and props and let me tell you they are amazing. Love the staff and especially the older lady she knows about every type of effect and most applications. Wonderful little shop! We go there with our son to get costumes which he loves. The experience is always great there and prices are similar to those you would find online. Its so fun for kids to be able to go there and the people who work there are always so nice and accommodating. They also have a huge variety of costumes there that may not be on display but they keep in the back. For example, my son wanted a Thor costume and there were many he could choose from. Photo is a spiderman costume we recently got for him there.

I decided to give them a shot especially during covid season since On their website they offer curbside pick up. I arrive to the store try to call various times no one picks up I get off wait in the outside line for 10 minutes when I get in the amount of people within inches of each other during a global pandemic amazes me there is supposed to be a 6 ft social distancing it doesnt exist here. If you want covid instead of a costume this is the place to be. I ask someone inside Im here to pick up a costume and they told me to get in a line of over 50 people and then I am told they don’t have it why give the option

I needed white go-go boots in a hurry for a performance and this was the only store close by. I found the staff very friendly not only on the phone but also in the store. I especially appreciated that even though the store is located in a Hispanic neighborhood and all of the employees seem to be Hispanic, they greeted me and spoke to me with clear and fluent English.I thank them for super, efficient, and friendly service. Definitely a place to patronize again when the need arises.

There was a lot of magic tricks and costumes and alot of halarius gags and props I loved it.

This place really surprised me. From the outside i didnt think theyd have what i wanted despite having it on the website. I can say, looks are deceiving. The place is huge and has sooo many costumes in there with all the accessories you could think of, they had exactly what i was looking for. The staff are really helpful. The website lists most of their stock so you can get an idea of what they have inside. The prices are average compared to buying online but good considering its convenience to walk in and get the things yourself.

I called on 10/29/19 at approx. 10:10am - Employee named: JOHN answered the phone and when I mentioned I had a client who was interested in purchasing 30 pairs of colored contacts, he refused to tell me the price in a snarky manner. Stay away from this place as they must be doing some illegal activities or sketchy business if they cant even disclose their prices at the risk losing a high-profile client and a lot of potential profit. Horrible customer service and attitude, stuck up for nothing. Youre located in little havana honey, calm down.

These place a great place to get your costumes, but it becomes overwhelming because the place is way packed, you can barely move around when there is more than 15 people there. A good selection for magic & tricks. The parking could be much better for the amount of people that go into the store. If parking would be better, Id give it a 3.5 or maybe a 4 star.

The place is crazy during holidays. During other times it is very pricy and not easy to visit unless you speak Spanish. Try Party City or some place else. This place may come in handy if you are looking for a hard to find costume piece. If you just want to grab a costume look around for cheaper places or on the web.

Good range of costumes and moderate price range. Purchase only, no hire/renting available. My friends and I found it easier to look through the in store computer database rather than walk around the store as there was a lot of stock off the shop floor. Very helpful staff.

A good place to buy a costume. Their inventory is large. There are two negative things. One the parking is horrible so expect that to be your first experience. Second, getting someone to help you. There is no number system or system period in order for you to be provided service. However, once you do get helped customer service is excellent.

Funny place where you can find all sorts of costumes and funny stuff like magic tricks, etc. People there are amazing to help you find what you want and, if you are lucky, to hear funny short stories! Its worth to visit!

This business has been around since the 80s and maybe before that. The first location I knew of was at 87 ave. and bird rd. at the south east in the strip mall. The time shows how great this is!

This place is unbelievable. They have computers in the back for you to look up any custom costumes and once picked; they retrieve it from there warehouse next door in minutes.

Its true that they have a lot of costumes, but the service is bad, and they dont offer any kind of refund or costume return, I bought a costume which the size was supposed to be my one, and as they dont have a fitting room I had to throw it away.

We were looking for three specific things and had gone to other stores but didnt carry those items, one of the store clerks mentioned Casa de los Trucos, so when we got there we found each and every item we were looking for to complete our costumes.

I was concerned that it was going to take forever to find my outfit, which was a Pirate costume I needed for the Yelp Pirate Takeover on the Liberty Belle (great event by the way)To my surprise Trucos is actually pretty well organized. The young associate took me to a computer screen and told me to scan through the images for a pirates costume that I liked and she would bring it out for me to try on. Pretty simple huh?It was because 15 minutes later I was out the door with my costume and accessories and spent less than 40 bucks for costume, vest, eyepatch and sword.
