I would NEVER ever recommend buying from Closeout Market!!My husband and I purchased what we were told was a NEW Frigidaire refrigerator back in May from the Memphis location. In mid-August, the unit stopped working and we almost lost an entire freezer full of beef we had purchased. We were out of state at the time. When we returned home 2 weeks later, I contacted the store and told them my refrigerator wasn’t working. They told me I’d need to contact Frigidaire for repair under my 1 year warranty I was told I had when I purchased the fridge. I contacted Frigidaire and the earliest warranty appointment they could give me was 3 weeks out.The warranty gentleman showed up yesterday and upon inspection told me that an access valve had been placed on my freon line and that even the plug was missing from the valve. It was completely empty of freon and he told me per their warranty agreement, he is not allowed to touch the machine if an access valve has been placed on it. To make matters worse, he told me that even if we filled it with freon, the freon would continually leak out because there was no plug in the valve. And that NOW my 1 year warranty I was told I had was actually not valid because of the access valve (that was apparently on it when I purchased it).I immediately contacted the closeout market (while the technician was still in my home) and told them the issue. After consulting with managers, the rep returned my call and told me that supposedly they get all there Frigidaire appliances directly from Frigidaire. And that I could return the item and they would exchange it or refund it.When I asked him would they be paying the fee I would incur to have to rent a vehicle to return it (and I live 1 & 1/2 hours away), he said no. He tried to say I was being disrespectful because my voice was elevated and I was expressing my profound disappointment at how awful this experience was and how I felt like I had been cheated and lied to. Why would Frigidaire send them an item and tell them it had a 1 year manufactured warranty on it knowing the warranty was voided due to an access valve?!I immediately returned the fridge the next day (today - literally within the last hour) and was met by the rep who made a very unpleasant experience all the more unpleasant when he expressed his displeasure at “our attitude” and refused to honor medical exemptions and threatened to call the authorities for not putting on a mask - which was NOT required when I shopped and purchased the fridge in May. We live by the conviction that we do not do business with anyone who violates our rights. I wouldn’t have even been in the store had I not been sold a junk fridge. Now, I have NO fridge, a bill for hundreds of dollars for a cargo van I had to rent to return the fridge and not even the decency of a sincere apology. Buyer beware IF you decide to purchase from here!! I could not in good conscious ever recommend this store - for the quality of their appliances or their customer service!
The ladies that were working were amazing! Super friendly, and not pushy. They pointed me in the direction of what I was looking for and didnt hover. All of the appliances are very nice and super clean. I got a great deal on a Samsung washer and dryer set. It is a scratch and dent place, however I didnt notice any obvious marks on anything. My set has dents in the back where you cant even see them. I highly recommend this if youre looking for new but discounted ♥️
Great bargains..found panels for living room..searched everywhere..going back worth trip
Nice appliances, but pricey.
Great selection. Nathan was great to work with. Gave us several options within our budget. No pressure sale. He located what we wanted at another store and had it brought in for us.
First visit to look at what they carry. Some new off brand appliances and some name brand that are scratch and dent. Selection can vary day to day as they get shipments in. Have not purchased from them yet so I cant comment on the buying and receiving experience.
I am a disabled veteran with an IQ over 160. Bought a LG 4 door refrigerator from them. It arrived missing the bottom drawer handle and non-functional. The factory designed it so that the drawers could be taken out to be cleaned and to get it through doors by removing four Phillips screws, two for each drawer to lift the drawer rails and facings off the tracks retract the tracks and have an extra 4-6 inches depending if you count the handles that also come off by design to get it through a door if thats all thats needed. This isnt much different than reversing the handles and hinges on a typical refrigerator which is by design meant to be done by the homeowner. There are no electrical or plumbing connections to the drawers. Their employee stated it was very difficult to get the drawers off so they proceeded to push it through my front door and scuff the control panel. 4 Phillips screws and lift out is difficult? Now, when you buy an appliance from them you sign a contract stating that you will not take the appliance apart or it will void your warranty. Apparently if you buy a refrigerator with reversible handles and hinges and its inconvenient for you the way its assembled you will void your warranty to do what the factory recommends, switch the handles and hinges. Mind you Im not talkin about getting into the guts of the unit or any electrical or plumbing connection Im talkin screws nuts and bolts that the factory intended on homeowners being able to take advantage of. No one told me at any point that taking the drawers out was going to void my warranty just that it was horribly difficult. Now I have no warranty. About their warranty, its an in-house warranty. In their house, not yours. If you dont have a refrigerator and you buy a refrigerator from them that doesnt work at some point they will leave you without a refrigerator, no loaner, and take it for a couple of weeks. I have PTSD and Im not the easiest person to get along with when somebody acts stupid. I did tell off their employees for being stupid and scratching up my refrigerator Im telling me how difficult removing four Phillips screws was. Theyve threatened me with the law if I tell the truth about how they treated me. They also said that the back panel in the photograph wasnt then it in when it left the store. Well, it was dented when it arrived and I most certainly didnt kick the thing in. The white scuff marks in the picture are from squeezing it through the door with the doors closed instead of open like I suggested. I just bought it and it already needed to go back for repairs, what would the point be in kicking it? It looked like it had perhaps been pushed in by a hand truck, which I dont even own. They use hand trucks to move refrigerators. As I moved the thing into my house, without any help from them, a large screw fell out, brand-new looking. Wonder how important it is and what part of my refrigerator it might be. This is Honorable, quality customer service? Not. I was recommending them before, I can no longer and would ask that anyone thats a Veteran or friends of Veterans or family of Veterans to not deal with this business unless they change their policy and show some degree of Honor and common Sense. Update!Anyone interested please look up LG French door refrigerators with bottom drawers and read the instructions on removing the bottom drawers.I have never dealt with such a dishonorable organization in 65 years. Read the complaints on better business bureau. They do anything to get out of honoring their warranty. I know more broke that unit by taking out for Phillips screws and removing the bottom drawers then I smashed in the back of the unit as theyre claiming.it look like it has been leaned back on a two-by-four strapped to a hand truck to prevent large items from tipping off and it pushed the thin metal in at the bottom. They will do anything to get out of honoring their warranty. How exactly did removing the drawers as directed by LG cause a cooling fan fault? LOL
Damaged appliances as expensive as new ones at other stores...
The staff here was awesome! Very friendly, and told us about some great sales. Nathan was so helpful, helping us fit our purchases in the car after we underestimated the size of our trunk. He went above and beyond even though they were close to closing time. We appreciate them and will be back soon!
Very friendly, yet gave me space!
Lots to choose from. Good prices!!!! Scratch and dent items for home and office. Friendly folks. They even helped us load a bed!!!
I wanted to buy but all the bad reviews I will keep my money
The closeout market is great. The are friendly and very helpful.
When I was told shelby county has a mask law, I explained they also have exemptions on the website, which I have on my phone and was going to show the document from the shelby county website. But I was told they didnt care and I had to leave. I was outfitting two kitchens, but ill happily take my business elsewhere when a company is violating the ADA and doesnt care.
Bought refrigerator on Friday, delivered on Tuesday, missing a handle, plug in, error code not cooling, they didnt pick backup till Thursday, now its Tuesday, I have to call them for update, I was told warehouse had to order part, soooo I ask any idea when part will be in, answer no... Unexceptionable!! Ive already made 1st payment and do not have... Will never ever buy appliances from them again.. I JUST WANT MY REFRIGERATOR BACK, that Im paying for and hopefully it WORKS! 1
I stumbled across the place after getting lost. To my amazement the staff was pretty friendly. I was greeted by the manager Candace. She made my entire experience amazing. She was prompt courteous and helped as much as she could to get me taken care of. You could tell she knew wheat she was doing. With it being my first time shopping for my home Candace made the experience a lift off my shoulders.Mr. James was very helpful as well and definitely knows his products well. I recommend the place 100%! It is a small place but has everything to get your home furnished.!The cons: Small building wish it were bigger. The pros: Awesome staff, very punctual, very reasonable prices
Great appliances...sorriest delivery personnel in the universe. I had to get refrigerator in the house myself ...because they wouldnt lift refrigerator up 14 inch step ! If you buy its best you pick up appliance yourself. Delivery crew apparently gets paid to bring items to your residence and then say what they cant do and then say they have other deliveries to make!
Financed a TV. Was able to purchase within a 100 days to avoid interest. Finance charges were very reasonable and the staff was very friendly. Not many options to choose from.
Great prices, friendly staff, and quality merchandise! Highly recommend for any mattress or appliance needs.
Dryer needs same repair twice immediately after purchase. Thanks love the $200 doorstop.
Found amazing deal! Would recommend to everyone.
I bought a washer & dryer at a good price. They sold me a washer that didnt work and they knew it. I brought it back the same day and they switched the washer and pretended they didnt know the washer did not work. Make sure the washer has no water inside it in the store because if it does that means it dont work.
Was greeted as i walked in, a place to find appliances and plenty other items for you home or yourself. If youre looking for a great place for a deal and great prices.
Wouldnt let me NOT give a star...so one is my only option....the guy was assisting another customer & seemed very polite & really catered to the customer...of course after being ignored for about 20 minutes a lady decides to ask me if I had any questions....not can I help you...well to keep it simple...SHE WAS VERY RUDE & CONDESCENDING & automatically gave me an application to apply for credit....uuuuuhhhh maam I wanted to pay cash....but never mind, thank you. The nerve. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE or you can wait on the guy to assist you. I wished I would have waited on the guy. It doesnt matter...I WILL NOT RETURN TO EITHER LOCATION...EVER AGAIN!!!
Everyone is AMAZING and sweet in this store! ❤️
I had an great experience and customer service, I also purchased a electric stove for an excellent price on today and I bought a refrigerator a couple of months ago and it works perfect. Will be returning to get me a freezer.
Great prices on appliances and mattresses. Staff is very friendly and appreciated the help they provided.
Nice staff and reasonable merchandise
Great service, Not closeout prices!
It was great. The staff was wonderful, they explained everything to us, and the best thing thanks to God Ill own this stuff quicker than I would any rent to own place.
Not at all what I thought it would be. False advertisements all day long its an ok place but not all that.
I love this place! Very fair pricing.
Great store! Friendly employees and amazing deals!
They have furniture, mattress, and appliances and an assortment of discontinued makeup, shampoo and other odds and ends
Great prices m
Great prices and pretty awesome staff!
They are horrible. Bad bussiness
Way Overpriced. Closeout and/or Returned/Refurbished items are priced the same & in some cases even MORE than a brand new item.
