Our recent Volvo purchase was one of the best experiences that we have had in years. Ian Brown, our salesperson, was most helpful and very professional in all of our discussions and the entire process. He made the real difference in our decision to stay with the Volvo brand. We highly recommend talking with him if you are at all interested in a new vehicle. In addition, the business end of the transaction was virtually the same--efficient and professional. Overall--five stars from us.

Leased a 2021 Volvo and traded my 2018 Lexus on Feb 4, 2021. Salesman was amazing and delivered everything that we negotiated. At the end of the month received notification that my Lexus payment was past due. Called Lexus to let them know that the dealership purchased my car but was told that no one from that dealership neither contacted them nor paid the balance of my former car. Tried several times to call the dealership but every time, my call was answered by extensions that had a full voice mail and couldnt leave messages. Finally, spoke to the manager (Jason)that said that he was going to call me back and let me know when the payment to Lexus was made. Needless to say, he never called me back, the payment was never made because as of March 1st, Lexus still considered my payment past due and again, no one from that dealership contacted them with odometer information or just to let them know that Volvo Melbourne now owned my former car.In my opinion, this is a fraudulent way to conduct business, so please beware if you are planning on purchasing or leasing a car from Volvo of Melbourne of my personal experience. Only reason I gave them 2 stars its because Peter Schneider, the salesman that dealt with me, was outstanding.

Not a real Volvo service department. Bought a Subaru there and have a Volvo. Bought 4 new tires there a month ago for my Volvo. One has a slow leak and another didnt have the dust cap placed back on. Called today, explained the situation (to include it was for my Volvo), and asked to make an appointment. Was told no appointment needed, just come through the quick service lane. Drove 45 minutes, started to pull into the service lane and was quickly redirected by a Subaru technician. Scheduler (I assume) came out, I explained my need, he said they only have 1 Volvo technician and I needed to make an appointment. He also felt a need to clarify the person who told me to use the Subaru-only line wasnt from his department. He left, came back, and said I could hang out to wait for an opening. Weird that when I got my oil changed last month they were eager to sell me 4 new tires, unscheduled, without waiting. I was told when buying a Volvo from a different dealership last year that the Volvo of Melbourne store is really a Subaru store with a reputation for caring only about Subaru. I assume thats true now...or else Subaru technicians arent capable of checking a generic tire issue. I work in customer service. I know how inconvenient people with my situation can be. The best answer is usually to flex to make as painless a customer experience as possible. Especially when the customer tried to follow normal protocol (schedule a appointment). 2 stars because theyve changed my oil in the past and put the filter and cap back on correctly...I hope. Went to Firestone instead and, yes, I have to wait but the customer experience was totally different than Volvo Melbourne. A pleasant experience can certainly make a bad situation easier to manage.

After passing a sleek new S60 on the road, I decided to look into a new Volvo during my car search. On a national level, Volvo advertised a price and features that I couldnt pass up. Living in Melbourne, of course I contacted my local Volvo dealer for an actual quote, anticipating the price may fluctuate a little. I immediately received a response from Lauren requesting additional info to draw up a quote. After many back and forth emails coming from two different email addresses, I finally had a quote of $100 MORE per month than advertised with the same features and terms. When I asked for an explanation, the only response I received was that the advertised price doesnt include taxes and fees -- a whopping $100 extra a month in taxes and fees! When I asked Lauren to provide me with options to reduce the price (removing premier packages, features, model year, etc.), she responded by asking what monthly lease payment I could afford. I went ahead and gave her my MAX price, which was only $50 per month less than her quote, and she stopped responding to me. I reached out to Wallace Volvo in Stuart (out of curiosity at this point) and they quoted me the EXACT advertised price INCLUDING taxes and fees. Volvo of Melbourne is a rip off. Do yourself a favor and drive a little to save A LOT. I saved $3,500 with Wallace Volvo and the customer service was incredible. Oh, by the way... dont bother contacting the General Manager of Melbourne Volvo. I looked up his contact info to let him know about my experience with Lauren; it turns out they share a last name.

I would like to share my wonderful experience I had while purchasing my new 2020 Volvo XC60 from Volvo of Melbourne. I went in to the dealership not knowing much about Volvo I have been purchasing German autos the past five years Audi, bmw, Mercedes. Although those are great vehicles I wanted to try something different. From the minute I walk in I was greeted professionally but not pushy I was very comfortable. I fell in love with an xc60 inscription it had everything I wanted, so we made a fair deal and I was on my way. From the salesperson Jeff to the sales manager Jason and every one else I came in contact with I was treated great. After my purchase I received a call from both Jeff and Jason to make sure I was happy and if I had any questions. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a luxury vehicle to stop in you won’t be disappointed.

We purchased a s60 from Volvo of Melbourne in July. 3 of the 4 weeks we owned it its been in the shop. First problem was intieror trim coming apart the day we bought it. They told us to bring it back on Tuesday so we did. We got there and they they said that they made a mistake and there technician was not there and to bring it back on Thursday. No apologies were issued for making us drive 15 miles for nothing per there instruction. Second time it had to be towed because it wouldnt start. It was there for 2 weeks before the issue was even addressed. We then then brought it back yet again because the transmission was slipping. They said that they drove it 43 miles and could not be duplicated yet while it was there the odometer only increased by 2 miles. We were planning on purchasing another Volvo s90 from them but instead bought a Mercedes. Unless the issue is resolved to our satisfaction we will trade the s60 for a BMW or a different Volvo from a different dealer and drive to Wallace Volvo for service. These people are lying crooks who care more about money than there customers. If you are in the market for a Volvo go to Wallace Volvo or Volvo north Miami for sales and services.

I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!On January 31, 2018 I purchased a new 2018 XC-90. I received a WE OWE from the Dealers Finance Manager (ALEX) that I would receive $3,996.56 after the Volvo was funded. The check they sent was for $3,359.90. I assumed it was a clerical error, so I called the Dealership. Over the past week I have left Alex 3 voicemails, each time after the receptionist who answered advised Alex was in fact working that day. Crickets!Frustrated, today I called my Salesperson (KATIE) and told her I would hold until I could speak with Alex or the Dealerships General Manager. She advised they were both busy...so I then asked for Volvos Corporate number and she told me she did not have it available, however I could Google it same as her! So I did - and filed a complaint. While I truly love the VOLVO product, the lack of professionalism and customer service after the sale at this dealership has assured I will make the trip to Wallace Volvo in Stuart in the future.

Since Lauren was scheduled to be out of town for the holidays, she arranged to have Larry Conrad work with us in her absence. When we showed up that Monday to pick up the car, we had your eyes on a more expensive vehicle. Larry also worked very hard to get us the best deal on our preferred vehicle in Lauren’s absence. Because of Lauren’s and Larry’s dedication to top notch customer service, this is the best car buying experience we ever had. Both of them deserve 5 stars for their outstanding service and we’d give them more stars if we could. I went with my fiance to buy a 2014 S60 advertised online NEW for $34,000. When we arrived, we found over 4,400 miles on the DEMO car (advertised as NEW), and we were told the listed price was a mistake and the real price was over $38,000. We felt this bait-and-switch tactic was shady AT BEST (not to mention probably illegal), so we left that day out of principle. Days pass, and my fiance was able to negotiate online with salesperson Lauren, who suggested she could get the GM to agree to a price of $35,565. Still not the original $34,000, but we decided to go back and see if we could get them down closer to the advertised price [Heres a sidetone: Lauren was the one who put the 4,400 miles on the NEW car we wanted to buy. The GM lets her drive it to work (or drives her to work) from New Smyrna every day. Her iPod was even stored in the cars computer.] We got there, and after rounds of negotiation and talking in circles with salesperson Larry, they agreed to sell us the car for $35,815. Again, not the first price OR the second price which was advertised online. Also, the dealer fee jumped from $699 to over $950 with the new price. Again, we were put off by the dishonesty. We decided to leave, but not before having Larry print out a quote for $35,815. We kept this as proof. So, days pass and Larry finally text messaged us saying You can have either model S60 for $35,815…. So, they wore us down and we ultimately decided to go in and buy it for $35,815. Right? WRONG… We got there and the NEW price was $36,815. They wouldnt budge or acknowledge the material fact that they quoted us a price that was $1000 less. Moral of the story: AVOID THIS PLACE. We should have known what we were in for when Larry himself referred to the dealership as dysfunctional within the first 5 minutes of meeting him.

Best buying experience Ive ever had at a franchise dealership. I have purchased a lot of cars over the years - 30 to be exact. And if I could find a private seller a would avoid going to a dealer. But not after dealing with these guys - friendly, honest, polite and knowledgable. No pressure, no parking lot vultures. Four weeks now Ive been scouring the internet and visiting dealers in the search for a clean pre-owned XC70. From Tampa to Miami and one disappointment after another. Cars that were filthy dirty and stunk; sales people with zero product knowledge, buying orders with ridiculous made up fees. But once I spoke with Mark on the phone I knew I had found someplace that was different. He worked with me over the phone, knowing that it was an 80 mile drive and personally inspecting the car so as to assure me that the car I was interested in was clean and well cared for.We worked a deal and my wife and I drove there today. The car exceeded our expectations as did every person we dealt with at the dealership. Cory was our sales associate and possessed more product knowledge than the previous ten salespeople I had encountered elsewhere.I drove my new 2013 XC70 home this afternoon and my next door neighbor demanded to know where I found this car. Needless to say I am extremely pleased and would highly recommend this dealership. If this all sounds a bit over the top its probably because I have an extreme loathing for most car dealers, especially Florida car dealers. But Melbourne Volvo is different - these guys are fantastic.

I had my XC60 Volvo in for repair.... it was ridiculous how I never got a call from the service department, but I had to call to get a status and most of the time it was a uhhhh let me check and call you back... Then for over 2 hours I tired to get through on the phone to get a ride and no one answered the phone! A lie as on their website is they state they will give a loaner if your car is there overnight. The excuse given was Subaru handles the loaners and their airbag recall has taken all loaners avalible. I asked for a volvo loaner not a subaru! I mean you are Volvo, you should act like it rather than names I rather not say on a public forum.I will definately go to Orlando for regular service now. Seems like these folks dont want to take care of customers.

I just bought a 2016 XC 90 Inscription model. They are extremely hard to find... as they pretty much sell before they get off the boat from Sweden.I have owned many luxury cars (Lexus, Mercedes, Equus), but never a Volvo.Volvo of Melbourne was the best Volvo dealership that i found (I live in Orlando). They were more helpful, better priced, and more willing to accommodate my needs. The buying process was not easy (having to deal with buying a vehicle unseen, that is in transit from Sweden to FLA!), but they treated me better than the other several Volvo dealerships i was in contact with.So i have only had my Volvo XC 90 for 1 day, so i can not speak about reliability, warranties, etc. But as for the buying process - they did better than a bunch of other Volvo dealers. SO i would certainly recommend them. Now we are thinking about trading in my wifes mid-size SUV for a new XC 60.

Review №59

First of all, I really love my Volvo. I got my S40 when it was a couple years old in 2010 and it’s my favorite car I’ve ever driven. I bought it at Volvo of Melbourne, never had a problem, and – until recently – planned to return there in the next couple of years for an S60. Unfortunately, I’ve had to change that plan after my recent experience.About a month and a half ago, the trunk suddenly stopped opening. I could open it mechanically using the emergency latch inside the trunk, but electronically, nothing. I took my car to my usual mechanic (who will get a glowing review because they’re always honest which is apparently unusual), and they said they thought it was something the dealership may need to look at to get the right parts. I made an appointment with Volvo of Melbourne the next week. After performing their (pricy) diagnostics, the dealership mechanics said my car needed a new trunk latch. They said parts and labor would come to about $320. I agreed to have them order the latch and made an appointment to have it replaced. Two weeks later, I brought my car in to have the latch replaced. After several hours, the mechanics said the latch did not work and something more was wrong. I was confused by this, since they presumably tested the issue before determining it was the latch in the first place. They said they would need to look at the car for several days during the week, and sent me home with a new S60 as a loaner. I got a call several days later that the trunk was not opening because the CEM (main part of the computer) needed to be replaced for $1000. Being a woman, I’ve learned not to trust these kind of estimates from car places, so I called my dad for a second opinion. My dad thought this sounded unusual, and called to discuss the issue with the mechanic. The mechanic told my dad that the trunk may not work because the whole computer was dying, which could cause my car to stop running at any point which would be UNSAFE. This was obviously concerning to me, and I was afraid I would have to spend the $1000 just over my trunk.Luckily, everyone else intervened and said this sounded crazy. A friend tested the electricity up to the latch with normal results and determined the problem was just the latch. I ended up ordering a new latch online for $150. My brother installed the latch and fixed a wire that was causing intermittent results, all in an hour.My car is running beautifully, and the trunk wire and trunk latch were the entire problem. I’m back to enjoying my S40 and will still be able to take a vacation this year, but now I’m planning to get a car that more people can easily work on, since I know that the Volvo dealership really can’t be trusted. While I’d love to have an S60, I will continue to look at the new Buicks and hope that Volvo of Melbourne decides against robbing other people with normal car problems.
