Customer service is great. The women that puts the paperwork together are terrific with a sense of humor...thats what makes a good store a great store. The prices also were more competitive then I realized. Shopped many stores that day and Schewel had the lowest cost.

Just had a great experience purchasing a special order dining table set from here. The staff was great to work with. Liz, my sales person, was very helpful and patient explaining everything and taking the time to answer all my questions. Edie was great working with the warehouse to figure out inventory and set proper expectations on delivery time. Theresa and Ginger were super helpful during the checkout process. Everyone had a great attitude and smiles all around. Definitely the right place to go if you want to pick up something for the house.

Being new to the area and a new home owner, when I got the sale flyer in the mail I decided to check out the store. Debbie greeted me and asked what I was looking for then pointed me in the direction of reclining furniture. She let me wander around and check things out for a bit. We discussed the back order situation on the sofa Id picked out. Then we went and checked out mattresses. After testing a couple, I settled on a Tempurpedic with a Springair running a close second. I also found an entertainment center with electric fireplace that was on sale. Went to do paperwork as I wanted to finance part of the sale. While doing that, Ginger was doing what she could on the finance side. I ended up with a Progressive lease to own plan. Its not a bad deal if I can pay it off in 90 days. The 5 starts is for their service and selection. Ill be back again.

I’ve been needing a new mattress for a looong time! Debbie helped me fine the perfect fit. Theresa was so sweet and nice explaining the contract. Edie has been talking me into getting this mattress for months and finally she got me in. The wait isn’t long for delivery either, super excited!!!!!!

Great experience from start to finish! A knowledgeable and friendly sales associate helped us find the perfect recliners and sofa. She took the time to help us match colors with pillows to ensure wed be satisfied with our purchase. Vicki in financing was just as friendly and helpful. Explaining all the ways to make payments and how the financing works. When our furniture was delivered, Damon and Dalton were friendly, professional, and made sure to deliver our new furniture with care. Well definitely be returning for additional home furnishings.

Great experience! Large selection and the prices were lower than other stores we looked at. The staff was helpful but not in a stalk you around the store kind of way. We ended up buying a sectional and the whole process from shopping to checkout only took about 35 min. Would definitely purchase from here again.

We haven’t dealt with Schewels in over 14 years because we didn’t like our previous experience. We were very hesitant going in but the salesman Tim was wonderful(v66). He helped us all along the way. He then got us to Edie in the back and she walked us thru the whole thing and they both always made sure we knew and understood everything. Highly recommend these 2.

Very helpful!! Debbie gave us all the information we needed on our La-Z-Boy recliner. Was able to take our recliner home, that day!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful!! Staff loaded it on our truck and gave us a plastic cover, to protect it. Will definitely be coming back, when we need our next piece of furniture!

We were in search for a rocker/recliner for my mother who is moving to an assisted living facility and wanted her to have new furniture. We shopped in Hagerstown, but everything was weeks to months for delivery. No one would sell off the floor even given our last minute situation and being from out of state. This company is hidden off the road, but thankful for Google Maps for letting us know it was there since we again are not local. Pleasant people to work with and we walked out with delivery set up on the day we needed.

Started off bad as I was not greeted upon entry nor did any sales associate check on me we walking through the store, then arriving at the section for the bedrooms. Finally after 45 minutes or so and an associate greeting 2 other couples that walked in after me, I walked to the front office where I met Mrs. Vicki (very sweet lady) who put me in contact with Mrs. Wendy (awesome and very knowledgeable of products ) who ordered exactly what I wanted . Mrs. Wendy also gave me a credit towards delivery as for my experience and knowing I was a new customer. Vicki was great in getting everything processed for me and as a welcome gift plus for my experience Mrs. Paula was gracious enough to give me an awesome Schewels yeti drink cooler which was very nice! Kudos to the ladies at the front office😊

Not a good experience. My wife and I arrived with a trailer attached to our vehicle ( indicator of ready to take home furniture ). After telling the sales rep exactly what we were there to Purchase, (not just look at), we were gestured in a general direction of over there. Most all of the reclining furniture was either strapped from factory and couldnt be tried or if it was electric, it wasnt plugged in and couldnt be tried. Needless to say, we left with the same empty trailer we arrived with.

Finally got tired of waiting for my furniture at American freight for 7 weeks, went into schewels and was greeted by Debbie immediately. Told her what I was looking for, she ran the calculator to get me the price, they called corporate to see when the furniture would be here. Told me the following Tuesday, well they called me on the following Monday and said it had came in!. Amazing customer service like always, we have bought alot of furniture through them. I believe her name was Debbie burke.. thanks again you made my week!

We had a short time before the store closed to pick out a suitable living room set. Debbie, our sales representative was extremely patient, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We where able to find exactly what we wanted and leave with an order for the living room set we needed.

I have got furniture from here years ago and just went to pick out more living room furniture for my new place. Staff very friendly and helpful. A friendly environment to be in. I would recommend this place for any type of furniture. They also have a clearance section in the back of the store

My boy friend and I recently bought a sofa set from this company a month ago.We are still waiting for our furniture and Paying!!!!!!on it. I soon realized not all customers are treated equally especially if your black.I felt like I was talked down to and the delivery date for my furniture will be Dec.I got a lame excuse from store rep why that was put on our contract.Today I was told sofas came in but ours was one of the ones on back order?It sad when you leave a store and think you made a mistake buying the furniture because of the way your being treated.I hope no one else has to go through this I guess now we wont get our furniture until 2022.This makes us sad wish we never came to this store.If I could would give no stars and to make it worse we bought items before this you would think we would get good service I wonder do the owners see these reviews ? Do they care how customers being treated?all I see is fake responses to people who give bad reviews.In these times companies going our of business you would think you would be treated better.I guess not!!!!!!!!!!

I went into Shewel’s to buy a recliner I had seen in their add. They didn’t have that model in stock. I was shown a chair that I could buy at the sale price. Vicki and Liz both helped me to purchase a very nice recliner. Now just waiting on delivery.

I decided to utilize Schewels to help improve my credit. Roberta worked with me to find the right items I needed and was very helpful. She was very knowledgeable and I was in the back signing papers within 10 minutes of my arrival. Vicki drew up the contract and explained everything in a clear way. Giving me tips to avoid interest. She was very friendly. This process was also very quick. I was in and out of the store with items loaded in my vehicle within 20 min. Im giving this 4 stars based on my experience, fast, easy, and not feeling pressure into making a purchase. The only reason I didnt personally give it 5 stars is because I felt I could have been approved for a higher amount with my income and current credit score. All in All Im very satisfied with the service.

My search for a recliner was made very easy with the help of Roberta. She showed my family and I around sending us in the right direction . When we found just what I wanted Vicki set everything up from the purchase to delivery . I definitely will buy there again!!♡♡♡

They were extremely helpful and accommodating when setting up financing for furniture and my sales lady Debbie was a delight to speak with. She wasnt too pushy or eager, and was very cooperative when discussing what I was looking for.

Really wish we could have given five stars, but Im not sure that Id ever trust the company with my business again. We had a great experience during our purchase and pickup, and the sales rep we worked with (believe his name was Dustin) was wonderful. However, when calling back in this morning to pay off our order, the woman took down my husbands card info on a piece of paper and left it on her desk all day for any customer walking by to grab up. She finally called him back at 4 to ask if he was paying off the order or if he was just making a single payment because she COULDNT REMEMBER! This is not a good business practice at all, leaving a persons confidential financial information unsecured.

It is a very nice place to browse. I had time to look around. Staff was very nice, polite, great customer service. I found the bedroom suit I was looking for and they can deliver within a week and assemble for small fee. Quality merchandise, prices are fair. I am happy so far with my purchase.

My experience at Shewels in Martinsburg was spectacular from the time I walked through the door I was happy. I was greeted by Debbie a sales associate from Schewels as soon as I walked in the door. She was very professional and helpful from the start. I was looking for a bed that would be comfortable for my husband that has cancer. She was very helpful and informative. I would recommend this store in the future and plan on making several more purchases

I went too big lots and bought a sectional, dinning room table with 4 chairs, a 6ft by 9ft area rug, a 5 ft rug, a rug for my door, a clock for wall, a new dish set, a dish dryer rack, a flatware set, a knife set, a electric can opener, 2 memory foam pillows, curtains for 5 windows plus a door and still didnt spend what Schewels wanted for one couch alone!! I will not shop there. I work hard for my money to spend 2k on one couch. Or even a set that should cost 1k.

Have been to this store twice and both times had horrible customer service.The first time I was in the store for 25-30 minutes and not one sales rep even said a word to me. I took my business elsewhere.The second time I was in the market for a recliner and figured Id give them another chance. This time I got a sales rep with an attitude. She speaks with a very annoyed tone, like me asking questions was bothersome. A few minutes into my inquires she abruptly said that she would be right back......10 minutes later and she hadnt returned. So I left and ONCE AGAIN took my business elsewhere.

Good quality furniture at good prices. Quick turnaround on getting your order in too. I prefer customer pickup but they do deliver for a fee.

The first sales associate we dealt with want the best, but we did go back a couple days later and order a piece off of a different associate.

Great experience, our sales associate Roberta was incredible. She took the time to help us figure out what best suited our realistic needs, and spent some time educating us as well. Will definitely return/recommend (hopefully she’s still there) for any future furniture purchases!My only complaint would be (company policy I assume) that you have to literally write out step by step directions for delivery drivers at checkout. Kinda irritating when you have an infant who is totally over shopping for furniture, but again the lady who checked us out was very nice and patiently waited- she also has to type them in to the system, so it takes a good chunk of time that could be saved if they just provided their drivers a gps.

The sales Lady was most helpful. The other staff could not have been more accommodating.

Our saleswoman Roberta and cashier Theresa were amazing. They were very busy, but they both took the time to make sure we were comfortable and didn’t need anything while we waiting. They even offered us bottled water which was very much appreciated as everyone knows wearing these masks seems to make you very thirsty. They really went above and beyond providing awesome service and keeping their poise with so many customers. They really need to be recognized and they are truly a credit the Schewl’s.

My husband and I were on a mission to find a sofa that we could bring home same day. We checked out Schewels first where employee, Dustin, was helpful but not pushy and allowed us to browse without pressure. We found a sofa we liked but chose to look around a couple more places before making a decision. Ultimately, we came back to purchase the sofa we had liked from Dustin and he even helped load it up on our truck! It happened to be Schewels Super Sunday Sale so we also saved big!

I was mostly happy until i was walking out of the store and the sales girl told me that instead of having furniture before end of October it could be almost Thanksgiving. Truly i want to cancel the whole order and find something elsewhere. I get wanting to make a sale but this is really not ok. Agreement shows nothing for cancellation.

Excellent service from sales and financing

I have been a customer of Schewels Martinsburg for many years. I always receive the best care from the sales staff and the office staff. Paula is one of my favorites, as I was one of her first customers.

I had Debbie assist me in purchasing my new mattress set. She was very helpful. Gave good advice on my purchase. Edie helped locate my box springs. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sold. Would definitely go back and get my new furniture there.
