This a a good place to rent from all of the thing are good and washed and they help alot on curbside pick up and the staff is nice and very respectful. The store is also very sanitized the manager is a very well sanitized person. So I recommend this rent a center for you is you wanna stay safe and in well hands.

Do not shop at any rent a center. The manager in Martinsburg is rude and unprofessional then when you call corporate to get something done they mess around and tell you that you are going to get a call back but you don’t until after you call them 3 times then you get an I’m sorry and I’ll talk to them. They don’t care about their customers at all and would rather lose a customer that’s been buying from them for 10+ years.
DO NOT go to the Martinsburg store! If less than 1 star was an option, I would have selected that! We have been trying to get a piece of sectional fixed, through the insurance, for more than a month. Every time we call, James tells us he is waiting for someone to get back with him or some other reason he cannot tell me how we are going to fix this issue. Finally, after yet another call today, the store manager, Madeline calls back and talks to both my husband and myself. She tells me that she cannot fix not replace the piece and If we want it fixed, we will have to pay for it. She then tel my husband that she resolved the issue with me and that there is nothing more to talk about. My husband asks for the number to someone above her, and she stated they have 49 stores and there is no one above her to talk to. When he said that was bull, she hung up on him.No my husband wasn’t nice about it but this issue should have been fixed weeks ago. We have escalated this to corporate and are wiring for a District manager to contact us. We are also trying to get our account switched to another store.

Very unprofessional when you have to call them. Lady manager is VERY rude to customers! Very lazy too, took WAY TOO LONG for delivery and when you mention refund they act like they are getting your stuff together right then and there. These guys should just go to theater and stop wasting peoples money. Though there is one nice guy in there, I hope he finds a better job.

Im in the process of purchasing a laptop through Rent-A-Center. The total purchase agreement is 32 payments of $93, I have 7 remaining payments. I guess I somehow missed a payment and my account was 11 days past due. on 4/26/17 an associate came to my home to either collect payment (Im paid every other week and was planning on making a payment the following day which was payday) or take the computer. Over the span of 6 years, I have given this particular establishment thousands of dollars and paid out at least 8 other agreements that I can think of right of the top of my head without any issue. I was obviously irritated to say the least. I proceeded to immediately make a payment using a credit card (which I try not to use unless absolutely necessary.) The representative then informed me that his manager was on his personal cell phone and wanted to speak to me. I took the phone and the manger stated that she needed a good contact number for me and proceeded to ask me essentially what the deal was as to why my account had become past due. I told her that I suppose I had forgotten to make a payment and after my years of repeat business I couldnt believe I was being treated this way. I then said that tomorrow when I got paid I would be paying my account in full and would never do business with them ever again. She replied that she had the authority to reverse my payment and seize her laptop until tomorrow as its not mine since its not been paid in full if I couldnt do business on a professional level. She then proceeded to further berate me that in the nature of business if I was late on my electric bill or rent there would also be consequences. She then asked so which will it be, I told her to do whatever she felt was necessary. She informed me that she would be reversing my payment and confiscating the laptop until tomorrow. She never did reverse my payment and the payment I made had not only brought my account current but paid up to 5/13/17, horrible business practice and treatment. I want nothing further to do with this establishment ever again. Perhaps the manager I spoke to, Madison or Madeline, should receive further training on conflict resolution and de-escalation rather than antagonizing loyal patrons. Its truly a shame I have to rate this business the 1 star they do not deserve.
Where to begin? The professionalisn? What a joke. I was being sold furniture labled new. My first sign was the remote control that came with the smart television was a universal remote and was not programmed for that television. As I tried to connect the television to my Wi- Fi, it was already programmed for someone elses Wi-Fi. One of the legs on the sofa came off because the bolt was threadbare. Then, as I was cleaning the brand new sofa, I found a crusty, smelly sweatsock in it! I assure you, I do not wear sweatsocks. Rent-A-Center, at least in the store, is only out to make a commission and take your money. Rent-A-Center? More like Rip-You-Off.
Very unprofessional and unorganized. Do not rent from them. Save yourself the time, money, and hassle. Either go to Aarons or find a different RAC than the one here in Martinsburg. Madelyn does not know how to run a store and her associates do not know how to do their job. Their lack of communication in there is pitiful. Worst experience ever with RAC.
Store is to cluttered, you have to walk around product to be able to see anything.
If i could give a rating of zero i would. Even the manager lies through her teeth! First she told my fiance and i that it would be 30 days of non payment before they would repo the things and then turned around and said she never said that. Basically they dont know what they are doing in there. I will be calling corporate again.
Absolutely terrible. 2 weeks before Thanksgiving we got a couch. The delivery day can and they no showed. Apparently whoever scheduled us did so incorrect, so for the inconvenience they scheduled us next day. Again a no show. We called and whoever scheduled us next day wasnt authorized to do so. We finally get our couch. Upon delivery the people who brought the couch in completely damaged our hallway in our brand new house that was just builf 5 mnhs prior. Not only that, they ripped several parts of our brand new couch. We were furious. They took off a few payments on our couch to make up for the damages and saod they woukd pay for the damage to the house. Here we are months later with nothing to show for it. We have continuously contacted the office for updates and there is always an excuse. And they have the audacity to show up at my fiances place of work today, the day our payment is due to ask for the payment. RAC, are you out of your minds?? Not even a day late on the payment and you are already hunting us down? When you cant even take care of a payment that you owe us from months ago? Please someone explain this to me because it is completely unacceptable. We have wrote you emails with no response. Never in my life have I experienced customer service as terrible as this.
