I purchased this labneh cheese from them and as you can see the price i paid 6$, last week i went to some arabic store and i saw the exact item just for 4$, how could be possible that huge difference for a retail item of under 10$. avoid this store and run away...

The guy running the store told me they would close at 6pm on Christmas eve when I asked him about this. So frustrating to see they’re already closed when I arrived there at 5:25pm! A little responsibility and professionalism doesn’t hurt!

I want to support diverse grocers in my neighborhood. I also understand that there are cultural differences that can be perceived incorrectly. The guy that runs this location is just downright rude. I dont need balloons and a clown to buy groceries but I also dont need someone elses extremely bad attitude.

I was a return customer.. until today. This store sells expired products. I bought a can of cheese. It was rotten and the store employee/owner wouldn’t believe me. This is below the standard of any grocery store I’ve ever bought from. Store owner talks in a disrespectful way.

Ive had it on list of local places to visit for quite some time to visit this place. I was looking for something Asian. This is definitely not the place for anything Asian. However, Im very happy i did. Their focus is mainly middle eastern. I ended up buying some tafloon bread and some sweet pastries. They were all very good but the baklava was the best ive tasted. Im not an expert but i liked it more than the traditional type you find in Greek restaurants. What i really enjoyed was talking to the gentlemen running the store. He loved talking about cooking and some of the quality ingredients they carry. I will definitely be looking for recipes that match the ingredients and be back to try some new things.

Small but fresh selection of Iranian/Persian groceries. Fresh produce. Friendlier than most iranian grocers. To be honest Jina Loloo speaks truth about expired grocers, Im just used to it and pay attention. Lots of things are expired if you can find the sticker. The iranian location in Alpharetta is the same. Just accepted it as a party of life really. Unfortunately there arent a lot of options, the owners know it and thats why I speed going as much and order online. People are looking for honest reviews, and have the right to. Its nothing personal, the owners should address the issue rather than nasty comments like the previous review.

My family and I have been shopping at vatan for years now and we just love this place! First of all we use to go to other international places and since vatan opened up about 7 years ago we only shop there! The store is always clean, cheerful and filled with varieties of middle eastern and persian goodies at excellent prices. I am very sorry for the previous reviewer and her irrational and illminded review of this superb bussiness. After reading her review many things became obviouse that her comments were lies and they probably derived from severe case of jealousy to the successful, sweet and hard working couple that own Vatan. They go out of their way to put up with people like you mrs. looloo. Your sadly phoney story, your education, your class and your demineer comes out loud and clear. Dont be so proud of being persian because I am persian and I am not happy that you are. If you and your dear hubby dont like this place so much why do you still shop there??? Didnt you say you live far from there, you can find many more international store closer to your own pad.By the way, zarrin only makes pickles, teas, sugar cubes and tomato paste; no cookies!!!Get your lies in order and hell, get a life(in America)!I love Vatan, their fresh products, their varieties and their friendly services!!!Definitely,Two thumbs up.

My husband is their weekly customer and he is a big fan of persian fruit, cookies and more but believe it or not every week he comes home with at least one or tow expired thing example chess, pickles, yogurt and more. most of their things dose NOT have expiration date on it at all. the owner and his wife take them OFF and some one like my persian careless husband dosnt take a look he buys them bring them home they end up in the trash b/s we live to far to return them. One time I went with my husband to tell them plz STOP selling expire merchandise from other companies like Zarin. he rolled his eyes at me with attitude he took the cookie that we bought and it was expire back and he returned the money back WITH NO APOLOGY.Hell! we live in America this is so unprofessional for a businessman to act like that plus sale unhealthy things to people just to become richer every day.I wonder how much would cost to trash unhealthy and expire food and present right healthy food to people. Its so sad being persian and see what other persian do to each other just for a $ more
