I needed a car after the transmission went out on my Camry. Northside Auto had a terrific selection of used cars and financing/bi-weekly payments that fit my budget and needs! The salesman was very helpful and friendly and the transaction was hassle free and haggle free. Price quoted was price paid and the vehicle was immaculately cleaned and in great condition.

Tom is rude and dehumanizing. Told me I was a liar after they overdraft my account by $2000 which was an accident and I brought it back to them. Jeri is extremely nice and I wish I only had to deal with her. He insinuated I was a liar and then screamed at me I was a child because I did not want to speak to him he even told me to stop taking like I was his kid or not a human and I told him I can absolutely speak because I am a human something he may not know. This is the type of man that doesn’t like others. If you know what I mean and clearly hates women. The fact that he wanted me to listen to him after talking over me is crazy and In the first 1-5 payments I had to fix a radiator, which lets me know everything I need to know that they are selling buckets. If you buy your car from here bypass rude man Tom.

I really wish this place didnt have such a high rating. So I will elaborate..About 3 years ago, I was the shop manager for a local auto shop that Northside uses for inspections. I always thought the vehicles they brought in were extremely clean.So fast forward two years. I was in the credit repair process and they seemed like the logical choice. They had a car that I have always desired so I made the deal.Car broke down 2 weeks later. They made me pay the tow, but corrected the issue.Another week my car started making a squeaking noise. It was the strut going bad and told them if they would buy the part I would replace it at my shop. They refused.Along the way the manager Mr. Chainsmoker Fisher tried to lecture me on principles in auto repair. I bit the bullet and had it done and discovered they had been spraying the strut with WD40 to reduce the noise before sale. Also the strut bushing was completely torn. WHICH IS AN INSPECTION ITEM that they refused to fix.I also discovered the engine leaking from the valve cover, oil pan, crank seal, oil filter housing gasket and rear main seal. Also discovered gasket sealant that was applied, I assume in an effort to conceal the oil leaks at time of sale.You know what, I place blame on myself for that. Even though I trusted them, being in the industry I should have gotten the car checked out first and known better. That isnt the reason why I think this place is terrible.So fast forward a year later when my credit has improved enough to get a better car, better rate from my employer ( A real car dealer)..... so..... during the deal my salesman and financial dept instructed me to call Northside because Mr chainsmoking Fisher refused to offer my new finance company a ten day payoff on my current loan. And apparently also made the comment to the finance manager at my dealership Good luck getting him financed.****10 day payoff is the industry standard****I WOULD AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU CAN. BUY A $1000 BEATER AND WORK HARD TO IMPROVE YOUR CREDIT.I have been working in the auto Industry for 10 years and have never been spoken to the way that Tom Fisher spoke to me. Wouldnt even let me get a word in. Its a shame, because this place had a great referral machine in me. I used to always say if you had bad credit and needed a car, go to Northside. I would never give that advice to my worst enemy now a days.To Tom: I truly hope that 2020 has changed the way that you manage your brothers company, and taught you that the customer, qualified or not, is what keeps you in business and pays your bills. It is my assumption that you dont care and wont change, because quite frankly, your kind dont have the ability to.You are the reason the car business has a bad name. You Sir, give people like myself, that enjoy this business for the joy of helping someone in need a bad name.To be honest with you Sir, everything in this scenario could have been the same, but if you would have atleast been a half-way decent human being about it, I wouldnt have taken 30 minutes out of my night to write this review. KBB valued at $2000Break and rotars had to replaced with in the first monthregulator in back driver side window needed replaced almost less than two weeks after purchase.Slipperly slope from there, at about 6 months constant issues and dispute with tom. Four trips to his service shop with in a month. 3 towes to his service shop at my expense,. over a week with out my vehicle. a false diagnostic that i payed $80 forbelt issuesalternator twicebattery connectorsi got 26k out of the vehicle and then the transmission burned out.i have receipts showing repairs and my on time servicing and oil changes.I was offered no help from tom. no offer to buy another vehicle and pay off both loans, he gave me two options pay them to fix it and continue to make my payments or surrender itservice shop not open on weekend tactic to keep people from being able to get in and outservice manager even told me that salesmen was scum and sold scum carsbe aware of toms broken record sales tactic and slick wordshe says he is there to help, they have a extreme rep. he wouldnt put you in a car that he wouldnt put his family in. service is cheap there so his customer can benefit that he isnt there to profit off the service department ( implying they run that part of the business for free and not profit.)the cars look clean because the guy that cleans them cleans them inside and out engine parts it takes him days per vehicle he cleans them so wellgo online to their website every car says very clean inside and out on the ad for it. Tom sales pitch on this is to show you this so it seems the vehicle was very well maintained and clean. you will over pay for the vehicle with lots of miles, understandable at a buy here pay here but at least hope your vehicle makes it to the two year pay off. Tom will repeat himself on the same sales linesthey advertise quick and easy service so they can rush the sale and your gone before you even really considered you purchase. i understand profiting business but in my situation they took advantage of a young business owner & officer of the court. I have contacted the county commissioner as well as VA state commissioner an currently under legal advisement for this matter.Lemon laws may not apply but civil action can so if you have had sim. experience get a lawyer they may be action you can take.this has affected my life and career. in towing and repairs i could of paid for this vehicle multiple times.i know there are good customers and bad ones just be careful if you choose to not believe me and buy from them just please be careful. i was taken advantage of and no matter what they say they do not care about you. its about profit and making the most they can from your situation. they capitalize on your poor credit or income. Also remember its more money and profit for them if you fall behind on the loan and they can repo it an action it. or if it breaks and your forced into another car or paying them for repairs. i have documentation and evidence to support everything i have said. PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND EXPLORE OTHER OPTIONS. i wouldnt wish my experience on my worst enemy.

My husband brought his work van at Northside auto almost 3 years ago. It still runs strong today. We never have any major problems with the van. We deiced to buy a car from Northside Auto. This place is truly the best place to buy used cars, suv, or trucks. I brought a 2004 SUV ( very nice one too) only have one owner before me. The cars are clean and well detail before buying. Tom the owner was really nice and worked out a down payment with us. They offer in-home finance so even if you dont have the best of credit you still can get a car from them. We got proved for the in house finance fast and easy. I like the ideal it will be pay off within 2 1/2 years instead of 6 if I was going to buy a new SUV from another dealership. I hate the 6 years payment. I am happy and very please with our purchase from Northside Auto. I highly recommend Northside Auto.

I’ll start off by saying I only needed a car for a few months, and I needed one quick. Northside had something that I could get the next day, which was great (they saw a desperate soul...lol). Anyway, went to get this Honda Civic coupe. Initially, I was going to take it to my mechanics (CoHo...great guys), but I was pressed for time. Anyway, I got the speech of Northside Auto mechanics fixing everything mechanical on the car. That was a lie. I needed a new timing belt within 2 weeks of me having it. Secondly, the oil burns out faster than you could even imagine, and that’s because the pistons needed to be replaced. Honey...smh. I honestly would just keep 2 quarts of engine oil in the trunk to top it off. They also had a Chrysler 300 on the lot trying to sell that was clearly overheating. I know this because I was in the car when it overheated. They gave me a ride to the rental car place when I took the Honda back for them to replace the belt. Anyway, I know how dealerships are, and I definitely know how small dealerships are with hoopties. But hey, I blame myself for buying an overpriced 2005 Honda Civic, just because I was in a time crunch and needed something fast. That one star is for me just getting something quick. I’m leaving this review now because it’s not in my possession anymore. Lol. I sold it for cheap cheap. The car’s actual Kelly blue book value. Anyway, buyer beware. They’re nice tho. Lol but that’s how they’re supposed to be. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Came in with a challenging credit situation from life events that had occurred at the same time . Needed a replacement vehicle fast and no one would help me without a very large down payment and high monthly. First called and spoke with Luvi, she sat on the phone with me and listened to my situation and what I wanted. She explained the process thoroughly and invited me to come in to take a look at the vehicle. Came in 2 weeks later, sat down with her and she went step by step in the process with me. Went on a test drive, vehicle was very smooth, very well kept with good miles. Met with Tom, cool guy, down to earth, asked me general application questions. Next thing I know, I was ready to sign for my new vehicle. The process was smooth and easy. Best part, it was the vehicle I wanted and qualified for. My kids and I are so thankful for giving me a chance to repair my credit when everyone else said, No. Down payment and monthly payments are affordable. Definitely coming back when the time is right. Thank you Luvi and Tom for all your help. The Murano is just perfect.

FAKE FAKE FAKE....i told them my situation up front and that im with a temp agency but will be hired with the company after training is complete and Tom fisher told told me it was ok and that he would be able to help which he was nice btw so i submitted all required docs and have the required dwn payment as per website just to get a call from the “vp of finance” saying oh we dont help people who work as temp..this is very misleading when the website says work 32hrs or more PERIOD! Not 32hrs but cant be temp to hire on top of i said this upfront day one and was told that was fine when technically at a buy here pay here place that shouldnt matter but hey learned my lesson DONT FALL FOR THE BS!!!

HORRIBLE PEOPLE DO NOT BUY. They make up a good lie saying they will never scam you or do anything, theyll except whatever credit you have . You think youre getting a good car, come to find out the car that we got was SALVAGED and they changed the mileage odometer on the car. They are bluntly lying to everyone that buys cars from them . Do not go here! And get a new car if you bought one from them because it is a piece of junk. Make them show you the carfax and vin number.

Let me just start off by saying that I am a salesperson, and i hate being sold on anything because i know how it goes. The team at northside are not salespeople, they are honest, upfront and treat you like family, it sounds cheesy but after going to six dealerships and then accidentally finding this one, they took care of us and we were able to get a new car when other dealerships said no because of our credit. I will definitely come back and buy a care here and if you decide to get one, make sure you talk to Luvi, she will take care of ya!

I have been looking for in house financing for more than month locally and in different cities. A lot of places were requiring 50-75 percent down, outrageous.I found Northside Auto by accident on Google.I had a set budget for a down payment and was browsing for car within the budget but then I kept scrolling thru the website and I saw a car ( 1 of many cars to have list). I said OMG !!!, my fav make model.To make the long story short, I am very happy that I was approved and got the car.FYI ... ALL CARS AND TRUCKS COME WITH BRAND NEW TIRES too PLUS the required downpayment includes Everything ( tags, title and fees).LUV IT !!!I can say that was in aaaww because most dealerships like them dont come with new tires.I REALLY WANT TO SAY SUPER THANK YOU TO TOM AND LUIS !!! Great customer service at first but very unsatisfied after with everything afterwards. Very dishonest. I was in desperate needs at the time and only if returns were allowed..... 2 issues occurred less then a month of the purchase. Luckily it was still under warranty but after the repair more problems occurred. But I refuse to even deal with them anymore or refer anyone. Now Ill be paying for a car I wont be driving.

This dealership took my down payment of 2500 and didnt put it towards my car loan. They overpriced the car I was sold by 2k and in top of that the next day the engine light came up. They sold me products I didnt even know I purchased. Bad experience STAY AWAY!!!!! I suggest you go to house of kars in Manassas. My brother got a good deal and my mom recently purchased a car and the prices were way better and the quality was better. North side auto did a bad loan for me and when I took the car back after lights that turned on over a month they ignored me and blew me off. This is a horrible place.

The PRO:This was the only place that would and could put me into a vehicle I needed (a work van). The saleswoman was great! Her name is Luvi, she treated me with respect, courtesy and was on the ball about everything and giving me straight answers. I am definitely going back there to get a car after I save up a few more bucks. The work van is in nearly perfect condition and only 2 very minor, tiny issues but they handled it with ease. Seriously, these guys get some very excellent vehicles.The con:It was a very raw deal and I am not happy about paying near 4k of fair market price. Plus the 19% ARP... come on, just because Ive had financial issues in the past doesnt mean I nor other people with bad credit deserve to be slammed in the ground on over paying.After all that said, its the honest truth and I will buy my next car from Luvi / Northside Auto

True to their word.Update: 10/14/15 I set out to work like any other day. When I started my car the Service Engine Soon light of doom came on and so did the Low Oil light. I had planned to call when I got to work. When I pulled into 7-11 for my morning coffee, the dreaded S.E.S. light started flashing, whoa! Calm down girl. I got my coffee and off I went to Northside immediately.Servando and his team inspected my car thoroughly, at one point I saw the mechanic with both arms elbow deep in the engine compartment. An hour later Servando comes to the waiting area and says that one of the cylinders died, rendering the entire engine kaput. They ordered me a new engine and set me up in a loaner car.I just picked up my car and she is purring like a kitten. While I cant say my luck has been great, I can say that Tom Fisher and his team were wonderful. Im a loyal customer now!My last review was unfair and short-sighted. Let me tell you about my experience. On Wednesday 9/16 I called Northside and spoke with Tom, I was interested in purchasing a vehicle. Tom referred me to Luvi H., who promptly emailed me and introduced herself. She gave me a list of items I would need to bring and we set up an appointment for the next day.I came in to the showroom which is clean and nicely decorated. We chatted, Luvi handled all my paperwork and we were off on the test drive. My paperwork went through without any issue and I left with my neused (a word my mom coined), happy and content.Fast forward 1.5 weeks and the low oil dummy light came on, oh no! I was upset, of course, and I contacted Luvi who referred me to Servando. Im now sitting in the service bay whIle Servando and his men work diligently on diagnosing the issue with my car.Tom took the time to me to explain how important customer relations are to him and his company, and it made me feel confident about my purchase. Obviously Northside knows one or two things about the Automotive industry.While I cannot say that the service hours are convenient for me, thats my problem and in retrospect is really only as inconvenient as being a bit late for work.Give these folks a call and let them put you in a car.

Sad!I cant say a negative word about Northside or Tom Fisher. Tom is a salesman and salesmen that have been in the business for a long time talk a lot. I cannot fault him for that. His talk is honest and hes a fair man. Hes been in this business a long time and compared to other salesmen Ive known, like the one who sold us our house, Tom is straight up. The rest of the staff, Jeri, Delia and Luvi are such great people that I stop in just to visit when Im in the area. I already feel like Ive known them for years. The owner is a great talker. he will tell you that he wouldnt sale you anything that he would not put his family in. all that is bs! only after 1 week i took the car home it had a lil transmission problem and the radio started to act up...so they fixed it. Now it has only been a few months and now im having break issues which i was told that everthing is new on the vehicle. its making loud noises all the time and my break light is on. Everytime i call for services he tells me to take it to somewhere else to get it fixed. when i first went there he told me i can bring it back anytime for anything. He just care bout money. i feel like they fix there cars up to get it off there property. the warrenty is setup to where once it is over your car acts up, this is because they rig their vehicle...i wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. the man is a good talker and very convencing..
