No flavour. No salt. Everything was reheated. My chicken and dumplings was just lukewarm pasta in a gravy-beith hybrid. ZERO salt. I mean like, none. No flavor at all whatsoever in anything. The chicken was reheated via microwave, and smelled horrible. We spent $50 and didnt eat anything. Even the cornbread was bland - No sweetness, no texture. It was however, salty. Im sure everyone who works here is a nice person, but the food quality is disgusting.
Fernanda, Molly, and Kristin did an excellent job with their phenomenal customer service. The food was delicious. Check out their gift shop. I know I did and Fernanda helped me with surprising a little girl with a book she wanted. Sometimes you know when someone special needs that something special. ♥️
I really like the food. Been here several times and tried something new every time. The atmosphere is cozy, especially when they have the giant fireplace going. Love that! The gift store is a nice little walk through after the meal. Service is great.
Let me start with this... Only reason for a 3 (its a positive note from my perspective) because of their services.Parking actually is a but limited. There is a big parking lot, but I believe it actually belongs to the hotel next door. However, I did not notice any signs says hotel guests only and also saw people parked there when going and leaving the restaurant.Once got in, its a gift shop but I didnt check it out much, was just there for breakfast. This hostess took a long time to figure out where people can sit, I think he was new. And the seating arrangement didnt make any sense. They packed everyone around the edges and mostly open in the middle. With COVID, you would think they space tables out. We had a table of folks behind us having to squeeze in and out because it was a corner table. The waitress was very prompt with everything. When food came out, items were missing, but the guy didnt question and just took care of it immediately.Food wasnt spectacular, but not bad. Portions were on the plus size for me, which is great for the money. I wish they have a larger more extending menu. But could just be their thing, its not necessarily a negative.Dont mind coming back, but definitely would checkout other place before that happens.
Pretty disappointed with my most recent visit to this location this afternoon.I went with my 2 young children and our waitress, Pam was not very kind to us. She took our orders and then never came back to our table to check on us after bringing the food. I had to sit around and wait for her for almost 15 min after we had all finished eating to ask for boxes and a check. I saw her walk by our table multiple times staring at me and my children and never bothering to come over to us. It was like she was blatantly ignoring us for some reason. I felt very uneasy the entire time knowing she was side eyeing us for whatever reason. It was very uncomfortable. The food was great as usual which is the only reason Im not giving 1 star. However if my waitress had ever come to check on us she would have known my son wanted more gravy which we were never able to get.Normally Id chalk this up to them being busy but the restaurant wasnt busy and I could see that she only had 1 other table right across from us so there was really no excuse for her behavior.
I had never been here but as soon as I walked through the door it felt like heaven. Definitely will be back to buy Christmas decor.
Gift store is cute, prices arent crazy. Bathrooms at 1pm...no tp, but 3 empty rolls. The restaurant...service was good, server was very nice. The food was disappointing. Corn muffins are dry and mealy with no flavor. Meatloaf is average at best. The brown gravy is decent with bits of roast in it, country white gravy is actually pretty good (I am super picky about my white gravy!) Mashed potatoes were nice, mostly smooth with small lumps. Biscuits, average, nothing special. The sweet tea, however, was delicious and my Country Fried Steak was perfect!
Well geez.Eggs were undercooked slimy and cold, the meat was extremely questionable, the bacon was rough, the ham had no flavor and looked old and brown and the sausage make me sick to my stomaches attempted to add I photo but it wont let me. The stuffed hash browns were cold and tasted stale. The biscuits were dry and cold. The pancakes were salty and dry even with the peach topping that tasted like canned peaches with some surgery syrup stuff yuk!!! They were also cold. The Carmel latte tasted like mold. The gift shop was cute however we werent there to shop we were there for some good food that wasnt the case. Never coming back. The service was not that great either. No they were not busy.
I love this place, will be sad when i go home because I dont have one close to me. Ordered the chicken fried chicken with mac and cheese, broccoli and fruit. The food is amazing, too big for one sitting. And the peach tea is delicious too
The Lemon Pepper trout was perfect, coupled with okra and dumplings. The shrimp got raves as did the maple bacon glazed chicken. And the chicken potpie was the best ever. Southern style comfort food done right. And I am from the south so I can say so!
Staff brought the food right out to my car and was super friendly. The food was excellent. I love Cracker Barrel. They are consistently good no matter where at in the United States you are at. Cracker Barrel will always be good.
This place has really gone downhill. The biscuits are now flat tasteless hockey pucks. The dumplings were thin and watery. The chicken lost about half its seasoning. Serving sizes are reduced all around. And theyve stopped having outdoor seating which is a shame in the 5th-fastest growing COVID county in the state. And PS to the corporate PR folks: Dont make customers write an extra email and tell you the store location; reviews here are already tied to specific stores and have the information you need to intervene with this troubled store.
Had a great meal here today (6/25/2021). The servers were attentive and the food came out in good time. Each of us liked our food.My wife got a watermelon lemonade and did not like it so I tasted it and thought it was horrible while our 9-year-old granddaughter liked hers. Just would not get that again. My unsweetened tea was good.I tried the Hand-Breaded Fried Chicken Tenders and loved the Dill Pickle Ranch dipping sauce.I look forward to our next opportunity to visit this Cracker Barrel.
First time we had been as they do not have these locally. Amazing food with large portions. We had a sampler of entrees and they were all delicious. Staff was friendly and customer experience focused. Interesting combination of retail and dining.
We have eaten at Cracker Barrel locations all over Idaho sand Oregon. This was by far the worst experience with a cracker barrel I’ve ever had. The pot pie tastes like canned chicken soup placed under a stale chewy crust. Nothing home style or homemade about it. The fish tasted old. The Mac and cheese was burnt. There was no honey or jam for the biscuits and corn bread. The cobbler desert ordered didn’t come with the scoop of vanilla ice cream it was supposed to and was 1/2 the size it usually is. The flavor was lacking and tasted mostly of flour. No cutlery provided in a delivery order even though it was requested.Absolutely awful. So disappointing because our family loves cracker barrel and looks forward to this when we are in Beaverton.
Friendly service, very quick food! My 2yo loved the confetti pancakes and bacon. I thought the salad could be less basic and the balsamic vinagrette a bit better - but otherwise a good experience! They are keeping it clean and classier than I expected.
Typical, nice Cracker Barrel. Good country food, nice store. Wait staff not fully informed about the menu and more curt than she needed to be, but she did correct an error and noted she earned something today so all is good.
I give Cracker Barrel 4 stars because our waitress, Sara was excellent! The food is more of a 3 star rating in my opinion. But it is reasonable in price.
Meatloaf was amazingly good. Our waitress was fantastic and so full of personality that this has become a favorite spot when we are in Portland! Thank you
Oh my goodness! Ive heard of Cracker Barrel for many years but this was my first visit...definitely not my last. We had chicken fried steak with fried okra, country chicken, chicken tenders, biscuits and freshly made lemonade. Everything was delicious and the portions were so big we each got two meals out of it. Prices were extremely reasonable. Everything in the restaurant and store was impeccably clean. All staff wore face masks. Our hostess was friendly, fast, efficient and always attentive. One of my favorite parts was trying to identify the eclectic mix of classic items hanging on the walls. My sons favorite part was looking at EVERYTHING in the quaint country store in the lobby. Dont be fooled by the location, the quality of the goods for sale here is top notch. If youve never been to this (or any) Cracker Barrel, or if you just havent been able to visit for obvious reasons, definitely give it a try.
This is a good place for comfort food and I was in need of some that day! Had their cheese broccoli chicken special with turnip greens. Ate every bite!
Prior to yesterday, we hadnt dined at a Cracker Barrel since our last vacation to VA. Our memories of that trip contributed to our decision to stop in for lunch. My wife enjoyed the roast beef, with two sides (mashed taters w/gravy & fried apples) and biscuits. I enjoyed the catfish with three sides (mashed taters w/gravy, turnip greens, hush puppies) and biscuits. Bottomless cups of coffee and fruit cobbler w/ice cream complimented our meals.Minimal wait time and great service (provided with a touch of humor).
My husband and I are pretty chatty, but this has been a long week of business travel. We came into the Beaverton Cracker Barrel and was greeted by the sweetest smile. With employees wearing masks, one might ask How could I know our hostess was smiling?Answer: it shone through her eyes. They gleamed with happiness. Sarah was so friendly, spoke with a soft kind tone, and just intuitively knew how to melt away the stress of the week. Thank you, Sarah! She had great suggestions for dinner when asked, and just really took care of us. Sarah was just being herself. There is no way she could have known how much we appreciated her sweet spirit.I left feeling, Sarah, the Spirit of Cracker Barrel. It seemed to fit.The food was great, as usual, but well drive back to Beaverton for Sarah.
Had a great time. Good portions, lots of options and cool decor. We loved the hashbrown casserole.
Breakfast was great. A little more hashbrowns and gravy would be good.Very good quality.
Food is pretty good. I think i prefer their lunch/dinner over breakfast but i do like all of them. Service is always prompt and friendly....at least at this location. I do hate the way their register line is set up, though.
Are you a lover of Salt & Pepper shakers?! Were, and they always have a fun variety of them. I shop here regularly, at season changes to see the new ones.
Amazing customer service and beautiful shopping area. Calvin helped me pick out a few things and they were absolutely amazing!
Visited on Friday night. It was at 6:30, and was not busy. We had a 4 star server. Worst cracker barrel experience of our lives. The food was cold, never got refills, asked for Togo bags....we could at least warm up in our own microwave, and asked for bill. Waited another 10 min then went and checked out and let them know what we had so we could just leave without cold food and bill
2nd time at thiation for breakfast. Pam the server was fine. Food was sub-standard for $40.00 dollar meal. Will not be back for a 3rd visit.AM
The staff was great. Didnt wait long for the food but it was over the top with salt.I could not finish my portion due to drenching of salt.I wont go back.
It was ok, the waitress was very pleasant. Food could use a little more seasoning.
Really enjoyed this company as a whole. You can find really great service and food. I have been to this restraint all across the country and they uphold great service at every location. It is fun to look in the nifty gift store after your meal and find nick nacks of all kinds. The food at this location was on point and a great family friendly location. Great job to them at this location and as a company as a unit.
Had to file a discrimination complaint against this store went in after work with my husband and family they wouldnt seat me at this to sit outside followed us around the store like we were going to steal something and then see a white family before us never in my whole life have I felt so disgusted with a restaurant as I do with this one
We went two hours before closing on a Saturday night. The restaurant was still very busy but there was no wait to get a table. The waiters/waitresses took our order quickly and the food came soon after. I felt the food was just okay, but its not my style of fare. The portions are very large and the price is reasonable for what you get.The restaurant decor and layout is comfortable with a cozy feel to it. Although, with the large open dinning area, music and background noise of diners it was extremely difficult to hold a conversation just across the table from me.The gift shop has a neat assortment of gifts ranging from baby clothing and gift-able knick knacks to locally themed clothing and seasonal kitchen decor. The selection is at a very reasonable price. All of the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
I took my daughter to the Beaverton Cracker Barrel today (October 9, 2021) & it was an AWFUL experience! She ordered the Southern Fried Chicken & I ordered the Chicken & Dumplings. Her chicken was very greasy & had very little meat, as it was mostly just greasy batter dipped and she ended up throwing that part away. My meal was very runny(soupy) & there was very little chicken in it, as well(just little pieces, like gravy). It was barely lukewarm & I had to ask the waitress to take it back & reheat it. Ive eaten at Cracker Barrels in 4 states(Connecticut Florida,Arizona & Tualatin,Oregon) & my experience has always been top knotch, but today was disappointing, to say the least.😰 I, also, ordered one of their special Pumpkin lattes & it tasted like coffee with whip cream on the top...no pumpkin taste at all! I will not be back to this Cracker Barrel. If I go again in the future, Ill stick with the Tualatin one. They serve good food there.
Awesome food yummy great staff /clean bathroom a great place to also lay over a people place👍👍👍👍👍
I do not know why this place is as popular as it is. Further, I can’t comprehend why there are long waits to eat here. The food was, at best, bland and unremarkable. In fact, I would venture to say that the meal I had was disappointing. There is nothing great about it. The service, albeit friendly, was a bit slow despite the lower volume of customers present. The only interesting & decent thing about the visit was the store portion and the various trinkets for sale.
Great food, and nice staff. Went with a party of 13 30 minutes before they closed and still got great service! Worth visiting!
Hands down probably one of the BEST dining experiences ive ever had in a long time! I wish I could give it MORE THAN 5 STARS! The wait staff AMAZING, super FRIENDLY and very POLITE! As far as the food....once again will blow you away! I got blueberry pancakes and they DO NOT SKIMP on theextra fruit cost(which is ONLY 30 CENTS!🤯) you can see from the pictures below how many blueberries they LOAD into your pancakes! 🥞I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE I KNOW! Which is saying a lot because I am in the food service industry!
Thought this place was going to be okay but it ain’t the worst place I have ever been here the food is COLD LIKE THE FIRST REVIEW I READ BUT NO I HAD TO TRY IT OUT BADDDDD
Good old Cracker Barrel! Love this little place for breakfast! Their country ham and sweet tea I definitely recommend.
Yummy.. Very courteous staff great service... Amazing place to eat.
Went on Thanksgiving as traditional for the last 4 years. Ive never been to this location before so it was a learning experience. It was a really good meal and the wait staff was very attentive. However there was an accidental charge for a drink we didnt receive but that got fixed right away. It was a great time and for just a moment we felt like we were home. (The restrooms were incredibly clean and have a little shelf for purses!)
My wife and were seated quickly. The atmosphere was excellent, the food was really good. My wife and I both had the Barrel Cheeseburger with steak fries and bacon. Our server kept our drinks filled. All in all a great experience, will go there again.
We waited 50 minutes before our food came to the table! Not even a full restaurant 😒 Waitress did not know the menu was searching her hand held to find what or how to place the food order. Chain is normally great other places. AVOID this restaurant!
Our waitress was efficient, but most of all she was a lot of fun! The food was great, and we enjoyed the beautiful gift shop after lunch.
Love the store but didnt have many clothing sizes in stocks . Food ok. Had meatloaf. Thru do breakfast best
2/5 because they were very nice and attentive. The food however was not the best. The chicken was the only delicious food item. The macaroni and cheese was good according to my family. I thought it was just OK. Everything else was mediocre at best.
This place is hands down one of my favorite places to go to! It doesnt matter what you order because EVERYTHING is good! Seriously! The food and service is out of this world....this is coming from someone whos in the food service industry and we tend to be a little more picky on service! 😏🙃 but every time Ive gone in the wait staff is super cheerful and smily! Oh yeah and dont get me started on how quickly the food gets to the table! Its quicker than ANY place Ive ever been to! They put your order on a tablet and 5 mins later boom on ur table looking amazing and piping hot!🍝🍽
A little below average. The one in Idaho was better
Great food, great service! Always a predictably great experience at Cracker Barrel!
Friendly, courteous, and prompt staff. Service was fast as well and the food was delicious.
This place is a fun stop. The store is amazing!! I always find neat stuff.
Being a former military family we spent a number of years living on the east coast. While we were there, we developed a guilty pleasure of going to Cracker Barrel. After all, as you wait for a table you get to sit and play gaint checkers or hands-on window shop through some if the cutest stuff. The seating area can be very loud because it is all hard surfaces, but it will look like every other Cracker Barrel anywhere. The food is also the same, which can put off some, but the consistancy is at the highest level. None of the food is over thought, but the exact opposite, super simple just like you would get at home. And as I said, consistently just good food. So far we can vouch for the Lemon Pepper Trout, Corn Meal Crusted Catfish, and Ham dinner. Go and enjoy! Lip
Such a great spot for a much needed breakfast on a cold Monday! Fantastic staff. Super friendly. Great service! Thank you for being awesome while we hung out without power at home!
Great breakfast food. I always forget it is its own gift shop.
Good food. Nice novelty store.
Nice and clean. Food was good. Friendly staff.
Great food!! Strange waiter. Looked at the screen but didnt look at us. Hard to connect with someone who doesnt look at you.
No wait to get seated, but slow to get food out of the kitchen, service otherwise was ok. A little spendy for what you get.
Tualatin location is much better, per food quality/service.
Went there today and spent over 40.00 for a lousy meal. I ordered fried chicken which was sort of warm not hot and so over cooked it was dry and like jerky, almost impossible to even chew, no flavor and poorly re-heated as it was not fresh. I have nothing good to say as the food was horrible and the waiter was in-attentive not refilling water and drinks. Just do not go here it is a waste of time and money. Three steps below Dennys in quality. Just go to a Real restaurant where the food is fresh and not reheated. The cashier asked how was everything and she just said Oh thats too bad and took the money without even I am so sorry. This place need to try harder, We will never go back.... Almost forgot this.. The flatware was used and unwashed food crusted on it so not a clean resturant, that about says it all.
This was my second time going to cracker barrel, first time in oregon. I really liked how this location looks. Great gift shop with lots of nice stuff. Now the food, I cant express how full I was from my meal. I got it go as you see from the photos. The helpings and the side portions were so huge. Its been a half day since I eat it and I am still full
Food was good. Waiter gave amazing Customer Service.
Food was very good, better than normal. Service was solid.
Just like I remember. So glad they are finally coming to the Pacific North West. This is my favorite restaurant from back home. Everything, the food was amazing, the staff was friendly, the store was filled with all the old time goodies, every thing was just like home. We spotted the sign driving down the freeway, we were all too excited. We still have to drive 2 hours from Seattle to eat here but, it is so worth it. Welcome to the Pacific North West Cracker Barrel, I love you 😍😄😄
Kind of a rough ship to cruise on but I think their figuring it out. Food is what you would expect from a themed restaurant. Lots of cool stuff to look at while you wait nearly 45 minutes for simple orders. Not the staffs fault of course, but that of the corporate insistence on using unnecessary amounts of technology. The more complex you make your machine the more place it can fail, and my Girlfriend and I witnessed that first hand. Management took care of it and comped the meal, but this isnt the first time this place has dropped the ball. My mother once found glass and dirt in her salad and there has been multiple times we have overheard staff talking poorly about guests. Good if you need to take the kids somewhere while you sober up. Just watch every bite you take :p
OMG! My food was exceptional. This is my second time at the Cracker Barrel. Our server was always avail to answer questions, and bring side items to the table when I asked. I ordered the corn meal catfish, the baked sweet potato, the pinto beans and biscuits.(For some reason Im unable to post the picture.)
Really enjoyed the atmosphere, food and especially the staff. It was right as Portland area was reopening. So everyone was excited to be back. Loved the gift shop !!! Prices, quality and fun items. I bought several lol 4 vs 5 only due to it was great but not just wow exceptional. So it’s not a knock. I use 5 as an above and beyond
This was the worse one I have ever been to. I move to Oregon from Chicago and this reminds me of home and I had the coldest breakfast a restaurant can give you. No taste and thats funny because I thought all the food was the same in cracker barrel. Just how.... how were you so bad
Service is good and food is plentiful. The food is bland though.
Food and service is always great. Wish we had one in Washington.
The food is horrible. Very bland. Menu difficult to follow. Access in and out of the parking lot is horrendous. Unless you are traveling West bound you will have to drive through Fred Meyers parking lot and turn around.
The service, and the food was off. Waited about 20 minutes to have our orders taken, and another 35-40 for the food to arrive (restaurant was not very full at the time). Food arrived Luke warm and without our side of salad. That took another 30 minutes until it arrived. By that time we were done eating and decided to send the salads back. Probably not going to eat here again 😔
Originally gave them 5 stars. This last time we went, no one came back to ask about our meal or of we needed anything. When the server picked up the plates, he didnt ask anything then... whether we enjoyed it out wanted dessert (which I did). And then we waited 10 mins for the check. Finally had to ask for it.
Best country cooking ever love the hashbrown casserole
I tried the Country Boy Breakfast, and I was not dissapointed! Very tasty steak and eggs and all the goodies that go with it. Pam delivered five star service and made it a pleasant, enjoyable experience. Thank you all!
Entrees were good, side of green beans very over cooked, actually mushy.biscuits were blah, dense, almost white instead of brown. Service was very slow !
We came in on Friday afternoon. The loaded sweet potatoes was nauseatingly over sweet, the fish fry was dried out and too greasy. We used to love coming here. Not sure well be back.
