I bought car from them last October, I took car to my local Kia dealer for service on my ac. They called me and asked if I was in a car accident ? I said no, well your radiator is crunched in like it was so Kia isnβt gonna cover the cost or the cost of the rental car I used for 3 days. So I took my car up to Russ Darrow where I bought it the service manager Keith Anderson was the bigger sdickhead Iβve ever met in my life. He was claiming a rock or ice flew through my grill and did this. They also didnβt disclose it he car fax to me when I bought the showing the damage to the car. Then say oh well the general manager is willing to work with you to get this resolved, they tried selling me a car 5000 more than my current. Will never buy another Kia or deal with Russ Darrow again terrible terrible customer service
Absolutely the worst experience ever. They have had my car for 3 months with no communication initiated by them. Every call I make is answered with excuses and I will get back to you, but then they never do. Even though I have been dedicated customer of Russ Darrow, I am done. 3 months without my car is ridiculous
My wife and I went there knowing what we wanted for payments. Our salesman Cliff R was not pushy and let us make our decision without being pushy, very helpful and we got payments lower then what thought, great interest rate and a great car to be delivered. I have bought 2 brand new KIAs from Russ Darrow of Madison and will never go back. My 2017 was burning oil which they were fully aware of because i told them every time (on time) I went in to get my oil changed. They refused to look into it and said there is nothing they can do about it. It was under warranty and said if something happened to it, the engine would be covered. Im fully aware that if it did not have oil in it and the engine went to hell, it would not have been covered. Now, my car is no longer under warranty and Im having engine problems which I will be paying in full and out of my own pocket. Good job on dodging the bullet with my vehicle so you dont have to cover it! Ive been spreading the word about how I was treated also. Maybe if I had a pair of balls between my legs it would have turned out different...
Overall, everyone that helped me in purchasing a 2018 Honda CR-V were helpful and respectful. Jonathan and Alex were informative and made me feel confident that I was making a good decision. Financing manager was a little pushy, perhaps because it was the end of the day, but it was enough to make me question my decision towards the end. Regardless, Iβm happy with my purchase and my overall experience with this dealership.

This dealership would not honor their advertised web price.My wife and I were on the market for a new car and went to this dealership to test drive. We liked the car, but noticed that the window price was $6k higher than the advertised price for the same car (same vin#) listed on their website. We assumed this must be due to options that were recommended, but when inquiring were told that this is what all dealerships do now. The options they are forcing you to take are essentially service contracts that do not add to the value of the car, and are not listed online.Since they wonβt honor the advertised web price, it is a textbook case of false advertisement. The sales associate we dealt with was dismissive and rude when this was brought up. Weβve since found the same car at another dealership at a $6k discount, and good customer service.If you value honesty and customer service, shop elsewhere.(update: since our experience the dealership has been contacted by the DOT and forced to update their prices online. We tried multiple times to reach out to the dealership regarding this issue but they would not return our calls.)
After 4 months of waiting for a new engine I am still without a vehicle. Iβve been told there are no loaners available. I understand there is a delay on parts, but after talking to other Kia dealerships this amount of delay is not right. Every time I call I am placed on hold several times and left with no good answers. Service department has been far less then helpful and sales wonβt even give a fair price to buy it back.

After confirming that a simple service as a oil change did not require an appointment, it was suggested I would need to use the express service and best done at less busy hours like weekdays; they said weekday evenings and weekends might result in a weight of a couple hours. When I took off work, and presented for an oil change on a Wednesday afternoon (before the end of the workday), I was told that my wait would be a couple hours. I left, foregoing the oil change because I donβt have a couple hours to spare which is why I took the time off work to try to have it done during the week day. And at my last service appointment, I asked about a secondary issue and the man said he would call me back to discuss it further after he would check some things out and I never heard from him.
Dylan was my salesperson and he was very knowledgeable, respectful and informative with my car purchase. There was no pressure and my car was delivered to me.When interacting with other members of the Kia Russ Darrow staff I felt well taken care of and respected.Will definitely be recommending.

The service center at this dealership is wonderful! John was EXTREMELLY helpful while I was waiting for my car to be fixed. When I purchased the vehicle from a dealership in MN, my name was spelled wrong on the warranty paperwork. John was able to work with the Kia warranty department and find my warranty paperwork so my car could be fixed at no cost to me. I will definitely be going back for my future service needs.

Went there to purchase a brand new Kia Nero. During the negotiation process, we agreed upon a trade-in value for my vehicle as well as a price for the car. I would have purchased the vehicle, but I could not purchase the vehicle unless I bought the $1999 extended protection plan with it? They should mention that in their advertising if that is the case with their new cars. Attached is a photo of the proposal with the $1999.00 line item they wouldnβt remove. Done deal if they gave me the option to not purchase the optional Simonize. Shady!
I was throughly surprised by my experience. I typically use another dealership to get my oil changed. But because where I normally go was booked I went to Russ Darrow. Though I paid more than I do at the other place, I was stunned to get texts and a video of the check point walk through, even showing me the filters to point out how dirty they were.The staff was amazing and very polite from start to finish.

Theres another Kia dealership in town closer to me but I choose to come to Russ Darrow because of the excellent service. One feature that I found remarkable is the video inspection recap they sent me. Ben, our service mechanic, sent me a video of him going over the inspection..pointing out what hes looking at and what hes looking for. This should be an industry standard! This type of transparency fosters trust with a dealership. Kia has come a long way and the dealerships have not always done the brand justice but Im glad that Russ Darrow Kia lives up to the new look Kia! Bravo.

Sara Bundy at the service desk is best...very professional and friendly at the same time..they pick up call in like 10 seconds compared to Metro kia who never picked up my call on same day same time..they send me a video of the whole process and work needed to be done on my car. Worst experience at car dealership ever. After saying I would buy a car they had in stock, and telling them we were driving a car 4 hours for a trade in, they put up the price by $5k (with non optional extras) overnight when we arrived to do the transaction. The additional extras were scribbled on a hand-written note next to the price tag (it was not there when I test drove the car). After calling other Kia dealerships I was told this is typical for Ross Darrow. Beware and be careful.
Bought a car from russ darrow kia and had the best experience, Now a couple months later trying to get in for oil change and you cant make appointment and everytime I go in Im told 2 hour wait. Now way over due for oil change. I dont live in Madison and try to go before work and dont have time to wait for 2 or more hours. Now Im due for tire rotation and other maintenance and when you try to make a appointment first one available isnt till december. I wish the service department was as easy as buying a car from them.
Best oil change experience ever! We were shown a video on our phone prior to any work done. Our care car provider, Joe, showed us every part (via video) inspecting everything under our vehicle from wires to brakes to our filthy filters which did need replacement. In and out in 45 min feeling a sense of security knowing the vehicle was fully inspected and all was good!
I took my car for service this Friday and they didint do what I asked them to do. They didint even put the water cooler in the car or do the oil change. And when I started to use my car Saturday morning it wasnβt turning at all totally dead, Sunday was the same and I brought it Monday and they are charging me to have it check again always have a bad serviceUnder my dads name for a Kia Sorento

Even though I stopped in unannounced, he was more than ready to help me. He took the time to explain everything to me to keep me in the loop through the whole buying process. Eric made sure to thoroughly explain all of the features of the car inside and out. Eric was kind enough to take time to detail my car himself before I took it home, as the normal detailing employee had left for the day, and he wanted to make sure the vehicle was in top shape. Iβm extremely pleased with the prices, I think I got a REALLY good deal! Iβve had all of my maintenance work and repairs done by Russ Darrow during the six plus years Iβve owned my Kia Soul. Iβve always been satisfied with their service. Recently they worked on fixing an engine problem. Shortly afterwards the problem reoccurred which required a new part. Joseph in the Service Department covered the cost of the additional repair.
I was very please with my experience in dealing on a new Kia Soul as Jonathan Chizever was very helpful, friendly & knowledgeable. He was a pleasure to work with and made the transaction as smooth as possible. If your looking for a new vehicle I recommend Jonathan.
Took the car in to get some basic services and light repairs. Staff was kinda and informative without being too pushy. Service was fairly prompt and quick given how busy and backed up they were. Joe was great. Just the kind of service I look for in a repair shop.
Iβm torn on this for a few reasons. Was the dealership relatively easy to deal with? Yes. Was the staff accommodating and friendly? Yes. Was the deal I made with them good? Yes and no.I traded in a vehicle for a much newer, lower mileage, used vehicle. I know that doing so does yield an amount of risk. However, I did my best to cover my bases and still had issues.The short of it is: I bought an Electric Vehicle/Hybrid. I asked the salesman to plug it in to make sure it charged. He drove to their service dept. and plugged it in. 20 minutes later he returned and said it charged fine. Showed me the dash and it displayed an electric range of 3 miles. I was content and the deal was made.I get home 4 hours later, plug it in...error message on dash. βUnable to chargeβ.But the salesman charged it right? Wrong. Driving it charges the battery a slight amount. So those β3 miles to emptyβ displayed were from driving it. $650 to fix at the Local GM dealer, the day after buying it.Now was this intentionally done? I certainly hope not. Definitely not an accusation. Regardless, Iβm on the hook for the repair. Maybe I shouldβve demanded they charge it in front of me. Maybe I shouldβve demanded I take it to a 3rd party mechanic during the test drive. Maybe I shouldβve done a lot of things that I didnβt.At the end of the day, would I purchase another vehicle from this dealer after this? Probably not.Lesson learned I suppose.

No waiting for an oil change. Using their coupon and I was able to get an oil change on my Telluride and the tires rotated. All for $40. It works for me.

All other service centers are pretenders to the car repair throne. I have been working with the folks at the kia service on road for 7 yrs and everyone from service managers, mechanics and bill processors has treated me like a person and they genuinely care about the customer as well as doing top repairs.The great part is it does not have to be a kia you own they know there way around cars.

Absolutely horrendous service. A year or two ago I tried to buy a car through them and was asked if my βhusband would be the sole financial decision maker on my new vehicle.β Then recently I had no choice but to get my car towed there to get rekeyed and fixed. They ordered the wrong parts several times and refused to order parts that were needed because βthey would do that later.β Over a month after my car was there, nothing was done yet on the car. The second my car was rekeyed insurance pulled the car to another dealership due to the terrible service at this Kia dealership. 0-10. Would not recommend.

I was pleased with our experience with our salesperson, Eric. He was both friendly and knowledgeable and very on top of things. He was professional and also gave us the time we needed when we were in the dealership when we wanted to discuss things amongst ourselves. Its fair to say that it was easy to see that Eric is genuine and cares about the customer. Thank you for all of your help in finding my new wheels, Eric! I did have to leave a star off, as I didnt appreciate the demeanor of the finance manager. I felt that he was pushy on the extended warranty pieces, even after we said no. And seemed irritated when you said no. Like as in you needed to say yes and now what are you going to do when something happens to this, etc. and I somehow needed to explain my reason for declining it. Also, he gave us conflicting information on Kia warranties versus what is listed in the manual. I hope that wasnt a marketing tactic. Lastly, I think if you are going to put a Simoniz package of $599 on every new and Certified Pre-owned vehicle, thats fine, but it should not be showing up as an option that the customer selected on the finance managers tablet as if youre agreeing to it. It should be figured into the already established list price of the vehicle, included as an already existing option, just as any other option that is already on the car and as part of the listed price.

I had my first maintenance on my Kia yesterday. Leah was the specialist who helped me. Very impressed with how easy and fast the process was. I originally only came in for an oil change but Leah let me know of a few other things that were recommended to be done such as a tire rotation and some updates due to recalls. She was very helpful and explained everything very well! Very pleased with Kia!
Dont get me wrong our experience buying our car with Johnathan was great! However we have not enjoyed the service end at all. Its hard to share an experience when you cant get in to have your oil changed. Worst of all if we dont go there they say our warranty is void (certified used vehicle)? What? Why cant I at least have it changed somewhere else as long as there is a record of service? My wife has driven there 4 times to try to get the oil changed and its always been a 2 or 3 hour wait. We live about 30 minutes from the dealership and understand the no appointment oil change idea. If you cant manage to fit people in something has to change such as maybe registering online to get a spot. Not everyone has the ability to wait 2 or 3 hrs for 30 minute service.

Scheduled appointment in advanced to get my recalled door repaired. I live about 45 minutes from the dealer and had to rearrange my kids and my work schedule. Left car overnight so they would have it right away. They had my car all day and dont have part, its backordered and they dont know when it will be available. Was told there was 3 parts that could be the potential issue and I understand they need to diagnose which one is the issue but also feel like this could have been predicted, and expectations coulld have been managed better. Ive been dealing with the door not latching for over a year.

I went in with an oil light on and it was due for an oil change also. I got my oil change and left. I went over to the West Town Mall and the oil light came back on. I was not very happy! I called them and they told me to come back and that they would have someone look at it. After further review they found out that it needed a sensor and they had one in stock and replaced it right away. They were very pleasant to deal with. π
I didnt have an appointment, but I was cruising by at 7:30 AM. I stop to see if they could help me with a quick oil change and check my deflated tires. Not a problem, says Joe, and he sets me up in a flash! Within the hour, Im out of the waiting room with an inspected (and washed) vehicle AND the tires are inflated and rotated. I am VERY happy.
They always answer my questions, and explain to me these things. They are kind and really honest. They also put my mind at ease when I take it in for a break inspection. And are really clear on things I may need.
We got the impression that we were in the way and bothersome and they did not seem very interested in helping us solve all of our vehicleβs problems. People can have a bad day and Iβm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to anyone, but this was unpleasant. We receive all kinds of junk mail from them wanting to buy our vehicle, so they are interested in that. But they donβt seem to want to earn their money honestly by fixing things with a car that is paid for (that we bought from them). We were more than willing to pay for anything and everything that we needed to get done. Never Again.

I stopped in without an appt needing a battery...immediately per AAA after a jump start. I got to the dealership just a few minutes after the service dept had closed. BEN, who was there on his day off, found the battery I needed and stayed to put it in, on his own time! I took my Mazda CX-5 into the body shop for some minor damage to my bumper after backing it into a snow bank. I was only expecting to receive an estimate but Jaime (the manager) was able to fix it that very day and did so free of charge!
