Joe, Chuck, James have been some super amazing people that’ve helped me with mods to my truck. Best customer service, NO BS and their labor costs are super economic too.Joe always gives complete detail of all the work being done and takes great care of all of the customers needs.This will be the only shop I will go to, to help build my truck for Over-landing.

We rented a uhaul trailer from here. When we picked up we had a really nice and courteous gentleman but where they really stood out was when returned the trailer. We ran into a few issues during our move and Joe was absolutely stellar! He was kind and empathetic. He took the time to listen and helped us to the best of his ability. HUGE SHOUT OUT TO JOE!! He definitely made an impact in our lives and also got himself some life long customers because we will be back for any and all automotive and rental needs in the future!

Been taking my Wrangler to J&L for over a year now for maintenance and some more serious fix-its. They are always happy to help, fit you in if they can. They honor their appointment times.Their prices are as low as a shop can go and stay in business. They wont fix a thing if it doesnt need fixing, but they are willing to tackle the nastier parts of diagnostics (like electrical issues).Theyve never tried to steer me towards a solution but give me good information and a recommendation and leave it up to me.

This is my go-to shop for maintenance on my 1999 Jeep Cherokee - they know their 4-wheel drive vehicles. Theyve always been very flexible and very communicative with me.

Chuck is a walking talking wiki page when it comes to Jeep’s. I own a 89 YJ and will take it no where other than this place. I’m very fortunate to have an outfit like this near me. If you own a wrangler, no matter the year, you need to start taking it here. It’s not much to look at inside and out, but DO NOT let that deter you for having you Jeep serviced here.

Called for a quote, gave my info and needs and was given preliminary price.They told me to call back next day for exact price once he contacted vendor for a deal and double check labor hours needed. I called back and was told that person broke their foot and I needed to start quite over again. I guess no one working owns a pen or takes notes.The second person was abrupt and cut me off a couple of times. His quote took seconds and was a couple hundred dollars more than the first one. He had an attitude that he didnt need my business and didnt want to listen to me.If they act this way while giving quotes and trying to earn my business, how are they going to act once my truck is in their shop? I felt good after the first call and was excited to have the work done. I ended the second call feeling frustrated and wary. I definitely wont be going here for any work.

Chuck and James were awesome to work with. They installed a Bully Dog tune, 6 BDS lift, 35 x12.5 Nitto grappler tires on 20 x 10 Fuel Assault rims with Borla Atak exhaust. This truck looks great, sounds great and drives even better. If you need some advice about lifting your truck, give Chuck a call. He is the owner and will treat you right.

I had a mild lift and new tires installed on my 2018 Tacoma, truck turned out perfect, exactly as I had hoped for. Good people, good work and on time!

Issue: oxygen sensor running amuck on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler. J&L explained a process in which to proceed that may fix it at a lower cost by replacing bolts/washers that jeeps are known for having shake loose. We move forward with and unfortunately did not work 100%. I brought my jeep back in and they were able to move to the next step and locate the faulty oxygen sensor and now that annoying light on my dash is gone!!Top marks across the boards!

I came in for an alignment after lifting my truck myself. I wasnt satisfied with the alignment they did first but when i told them about the issue, they made sure i was 100% satisfied. I didnt have to pay for any extra for them to redo it. 5 stars for customer service and honest/professional work. I will be taking my truck to them when i decide to regear in the future.

Ive brought two different Jeeps to the guys at J&L within the last year. They are professional, down to earth, with great prices and work hard to get projects done in a quick manner. My most recent visit was picking immediately after picking up a new JL and they set it up proper with rims and tires. My previous trip was getting some front end issues sorted, including getting a new Fox dual stabilizer. Both projects turned out great. One additional thing, they know these vehicles, so where other shops are hunting and trying to figure stuff out they knew right away what were problems. Thats something worth money and time!

Sealed my 9 rear pinion with a chrome sleeve to stop a leak. Leaked much worse after. I told them and they didnt care. I finally had a professional shop fix it and they showed me how bad the install was. Now I need a new pinion, too. Wish Id never met these guys.

They lied to me, said I would get a price Thurs or Fri morning. Its now Monday evening. They must not need work going to contact someone else

I was very impressed with J&Ls communication and professionalism. I had been looking at some new truck bumpers for a while from a specific manufacturer. I had previously used a different company to order products from this manufacturer, but was looking elsewhere after a less than satisfactory experience. J&L responded to my communications promptly and told me everything upfront. The whole process was quick and easy. It was a refreshing change and they have definitely earned my repeat business.

Joe was absolutely excellent! On vacation needed them here ASAP within the next day they arrived! Unfortunately they were so booked the shop couldn’t get me in before I was scheduled to leave the area, he promptly suggested an shop and provided me with a number for the shop!! Would recommend this shop over and over again and joe knows how to treat customers!

Great service at J and L! Need to get some mounting bolts for my sons wrangler, and not only did the provide them, they did so quickly and made sure I had what I needed. Answered a bunch of my questions and were beyond helpful. As s business owner, I pay attention to the little things other small businesses do. J and L is top of the line!

Bought a 2000 Jeep (Just. Empty. Every. Pocket) Wrangler with 128k in March 2019 and slowly the issues started. First issue, I lost some rear frame and control arm due to rust= J&L did a super welding job. Good luck finding someone to fix these sorts of frame issues because of liability issues, but these guys have insurance for this. Second, my exhaust was falling apart= J&L got it done in no time and she now sounds like a Tesla. Third, front shocks, gear box, steering dampener, and ball joints were just replaced. It’s now like driving a 2015 with rust.The thing looks good from the outside but the underneath was falling apart/incredibly difficult to drive/dangerous to drive. They didn’t know how it drove but they knew the parts were shot and were honest about telling me. Count on them to get it done. Make an appointment at least a week in advance as they are always busy with other rust buckets.

Down to earth and easy to work with. I would go to them again.

Its so nice to have a resource like Chuck at J&L to go to when I need top notch products intalled on my 2016 Chevy 2500HD. Not only do they do a great job on the service, but the knowledge and experiance when selecting what type and brand of products to add my vehicle. I am forever a customer of J&L four Wheel drive, and strongly recomend to anyone I know to go to Chuck when you need advise on what to use on your next application.

These guys are amazing! They always have about 8 things going on at once, the phone is ringing off the hook, and they still manage to get to every customer (and tire kicker) who walks through the door within a minute. Not to mention they are friendly, know what they are doing, and take the time to make sure you understand everything you need to before you leave. Im not even a high-dollar customer and they treated me better than other shops where Ive spent thousands of dollars.

These guys are great. Great work at a fair price. They just replaced the engine in my daughters Jeep. They quoted us with better parts than the others and they knew exactly what they needed to get the job done. The other quotes had a bunch of disclaimers saying they may need this or that. These guys quoted it to the T and did a fantastic job. Every time we called with questions they took the time to explain things and they all sounded like they knew what they were talking about. Chuck knows his stuff when it comes to off-roading and modifications to a Jeep. He is honest and does good work.

They did a great job with my 07 jeep. Tie rods and ball joints. Runs almost nicer than my 2018! Appreciate the work, done well.

This was my first experience with J&L and it was very good. They installed an entire front end steering kit and steering gear in my truck as well as put on new tires and gave it an alignment. I was very impressed with Chuck and his teams communication when they were doing the work. As always when working on a 15 year old truck there are some surprises, I was happy with how they handled rusted fittings/hoses, asking fist to put new hoses on instead of just doing it or insisting on doing a quick job and using the old fittings and breaking something.So far so good. Never realized what a difference a tight steering system makes. Very responsive. Also Its always nice when the shop manager talks options with you, takes some time to shoot the bull and the like. I will go back to J&L if I need future service on my F250.

We came through from out of town needing some work done. The staff went out of there way to have parts ready when we arrived. We where able to park our fifth wheel out front with no problem as they worked on our truck. In and out within a few hours. Chuck and James are complete professionals and really do care about your needs. Recommend to anyone needing mechanical service. Thank you guys you really helped us out.

The guys down and J&L are great! I was on a budget fixing up an old dent side ford pickup, and the guys took the time to listen and understand my project, and do some research to find me the right parts to get the job done. Ill definitely be going back for future projects and would recommend them to friends and family. J&L did a great job with my lift kit, bumpers and flashy LED lights on my 05 Jeep Rubicon. The drive is so much better!

The people here are so kind and really helped me out!! Great customer service! All of the air pumps were broken down in the area. I was driving on a tire very low on air. (Didnt relize till it was too late) And they were so kind to take the time out of there day and help a mother of 2 out when I thought their where no options left. I searched for U-Haul and came up with this company. I was told they were resellers and installed U-Haul trailer hitches...CLASSIC bait and switch! Crappy install with a different brand. Also, I sat in that putrid office for close to 11 hours for three separate visits, luckily didn’t go home itching.U-Haul was NOT happy with them when I notified the bait/switch and made a special phone call to them.P.S. Hey J&L clean that scuzzy restroom and stock it with toilet paper!

Strongly recommend getting your lifts installed here truck looks great it wasnt an easy install but they got the job done after a misunderstanding with the initial quote the owner took the time to help me out the best he could which he did not have to do very impressed with that and appreciative. Will recommend!

This company I went to specifically because I have a lifted Jeep. On numerous occasions I went in with wobble/shimmy in steering. One guy mentioned, lifts arent always the best on road! Yeah, BS. They didnt take the time to truly diagnose the issue. Another offroad shop I took it to Badgerland Offroad, found the issue immediately and Ill never look back.

Had a simple problem. They promised to get it done in a couple of hours. Two days late I had to take my truck to different place because they did not have time to fix it. Do not trust this company.

They do a great job they can trade on if they get to the customers as soon as I walk in the door they make you want to drive from Beloit to Madison to continue to get work done with them great people great work just wonderful in general
