Thank you for sharing your culture and foods. This is a unique place and opportunity to try different foods. They have a food court which is great. Very good food. And the store to try different foods at home. Definitely recommend.
This place is super unique and I love it. The grocery section is the largest Asian grocery store I have seen and was stocked with several things I havent seen at other Asian grocery stores. The food side of the building was super cool. It is a food court with several different establishments to choose from. If I had a complaint, it would be the diversity of restaurants. There was mostly east Asian food and I would love to see some more diversity (maybe some Indian or Nepali food). There is a huge amout of seating and in different sizes, so it is good for 1 or 2, up to a large group. All in all, it was a great experience and I will be back soon.
Awesome addition to Madison! Our visit was a Christmas present for me as the kids know how much I miss international travel! We love the produce and grocery expierences, I picked up plenty to try recipes at home, then we enjoyed a variety from the restaurants in the food court! The bakery especially is a rare treat and tastes just like the confections in China and China towns across the world! Great experience we will be back!
I love this store! It not only has lots of unique items for sale in its Grocery store, but on the other side of the building is a plethora of small restaurants. I went to the sweet hut and got a lavender tea, then to the dumpling house for some dumplings and steamed pork buns. The grocery store items are so fairly priced, I will absolutely be shopping here on the regular
Finally a market with the Asian foods I love that is organized and clean. This market is great for Asian foods that I cant normally find in the supermarket. But it stands apart because its actually nice to walk through. Their meat and fish selection looks fresh and have a great variety and great prices. We also had some dinner at the Dumpling House which was delicious. Best Asian market in Madison hands down.
Such a fantastic place! Tons of delicious and different foods. A shopping area that had everything I could need or want. Clean, lots of room, and a gorgeous mural.
For dinner, we really had a good time, there’s a lot of options for food with several different restaurants inside their food court. Everything that we ate was very good, portions were generous, big flavor and reasonably priced. The grocery store side was impressive with a huge depth of grocery items, fresh meat and living seafood. This is something I would expect in a larger city like Chicago or NY. Overall I’m very excited to see this here in Madison and will frequent it.
First of all, please support this place! Today was my first time here, and the place is beautiful, welcoming, and such a treat! The food from the food court was amazing and a huge portion (had saucy rice from Taiwan Street). It reminded me of food halls from NYC, and felt like I was on a vacation right in my hometown. The grocery is still getting set up somewhat but was soo fun to explore, I grabbed a bunch of snacks (my fave thing to do) and somehow spent less than $20! Stopped at the bakery for some fresh sweet rolls and a Thai bubble tea, all delicious. We will definitely be back A LOT as there are so many options and things to try.
The little Taco shop has delicious food the only thing that kind of ruined the experience is that I was there with my family we were waiting on our food (got different things from different little restaurants) and it was about 20 minutes when I finally got up to see what was taking so long because my pager they gave me never went off, (it was switched to on) turns out my food was done for a while and on the counter because they forgot to actually activate it to let me know my food was ready. So because of that my food was not very hot and my children and husband were annoyed with how long we actually had to wait when it was done the whole time.
Market: Really nice selection for many specialty Asian foods and imported goods. Small but nice produce section, again with a focus on ingredients used in many types of Asian cuisine. Lots of cool dried and preserved ingredients. Massive seafood and meat department with TONS of frozen things and a fair amount of fresh seafood. Good prices on many things. Probably the largest and now best Asian food market in Madison.Food Hall: A but mixed on the food hall so far. Opening a restaurant/food Hall during a pandemic has got to be one of the biggest challenges ever. I have hope that it can get the foot traffic it needs to really take off and succeed. Some of the food Ive had has been good, others just OK.
Very good place. I Love it. Thank You.
I really enjoyed my visit! Nice market area & food hall. I ordered something from 4 different restaurants & it was all yummy! Cant wait to go visit again!
Interesting concept. Asian centered store that is half grocery store and half food court. The grocery side has a decent selection in a nice, clean environment unlike too many other Asian grocery stores in town. If you are looking for Asian order at the counter dining, look no further. There are plenty of choices for everyone.
A-Rods Tex Mex is very good! Hispanic food available and very very good!
Hmong kitchen made me the best curry Ive ever had.
Awesome placed tucked in to the East Towne mall area. Large Asian grocery store with food court. Several different options: pho, dumplings and buns, ramen, Hmong pork belly sausage, seafood, Chinese bakery and sweets and more. We perused the grocery store and it was large and pretty well stocked. The produce was ok, some of it didnt look very fresh like the peppers but had good looking leychees and kumquats. They have a large selection of fresh and frozen seafood, you can definitely find hard to get, unique items here. Couldnt find chow fun/thick rice noodles, I think they were out but hopefully will be stocked next time. The best part was the food court. There was so much it was hard to decide. We got dumplings, buns and scallion pancakes from Dumpling House and pork belly and sticky rice from the Hmong kitchen. Definitely wanna try the ramen and pho from other stands as well as the seafood from Seafood Boiler. Will definitely be back!
This place is GREAT! Excellent prices on all manner of mostly Asian groceries with an AMAZING food court featuring a variety of Asian eateries! Eat before you shop. Its cheaper that way!
I went here and was in awe so many places to eat. Its like a food court that serves different asian cuisine i had the pork belly with sticky rice and was amazed it was delicious. Also they have a dumpling place where the ingredients are fresh as well.I definitely recommend if you looking for a delicious bite and even better scenery.
*Captain Frank Seafood Boiler and Red Lion is now open! I have been eyeing out the people eating from the seafood boiler and it is making mouth water. It looks popular when I was there. This place is showing a lot of potential to expand in terms of additional products to add to the store. It is newly opened, and some stalls are not yet functional. The ones that are open are promising. Most of the stalls in the food court are Asian, mainly Chinese. Hopefully more will be added soon to cater to a variety of customers. The area is wide and so is the spacing. They have a large table for bigger parties too (hopefully Covid is gone so we can all come visit and eat in large groups!)They also offer a variety of produce commonly found in Asian markets. The seafood selection is good and varied. Friday is one of the days when fresh produce come in. It is worth checking out early Saturday! I am happy with my purchases so far.Customer service is satisfactory. More good things to come!I will revisit this review in the future for update.
Alot of interesting places to eat or get snacks and sweets. Food court style. My only complaint was the smell of fish from the fish place but it didnt ruin dinner.
Love the place but had a super bad experience with the cashier. The cashier was rude, incompetent and wasn’t a good listener. She has blonde hair. She didn’t clean the counter area after the people in front of us bought some meat and fish. The counter was dirty with wet residue. She continued to put our items on the wet residue when we ask her nicely to wipe it down first. My mom even was being nice and said she will hold it so she can put the items in there. She ignored us and continued putting our stuff on the wet residues. She completely ignored our request and starting lying saying the counter is not wet when another cashier came. That other cashier help us with cleaning the items we bought.
Loved the market area. The market prices were reasonable. The food court us still being built out but a couple of the food stands are quite pricey. I dont think sustainable for the area.
A few stalls have authentic Chinese food that we enjoyed. Will definitely come back again.
Large store with an amazing selection. The food-court half has 10- 15 vendors representing a variety of cuisines. The pantry, produce, freezer and dairy selections are good and have most anything you could use, including dishes and housewares. But the real highlight is the meat department. 15- 20 coolers contain almost any meat you could want, from duck to pork knuckles, fish cakes, to beef ribs. Aside from the coolers is large butcher as well that will clean and trim meat selections, and tanks of live fish, eels, lobster, and crab. Prices are reasonable, and staff was friendly and helpful, even going so far and to ask what dish I was trying to make and suggesting ingredients,, or substitutions., Lastly, the store was immaculately clean, despite how busy they seemed to be, and even offed a hand sanitizing station at the door. If you are on the east side of Madison, Go here. If you are on the west side, try it out, for the food court and meat selection if nothing else. You may be surprised.
Great market. Lots of small stalls offering a variety of absolutely delicious foods. Mostly oriental, wonderful variety.
Exceeded our expectations. We tried the pork and bok choy potstickers from dumpling house, a BBQ pork bahn mi from poke mi, and a seafood boil. They were all awesome! The house recipe broth on the boil was phenomenal. I wanted to drink it. ;) the bread on the bahn mi had such a nice crust and the flavors were on point.Took a tour through the market and made a lot of necessary impulse purchases. Soooo much to offer. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely love this place! I love the huge selection of foods from all over Asia. Plus they have a food court, so you can get a hot fresh meal while you are there for groceries.
A nice change of pace in an international market in the Madison area - fresh food, a meat counter and a deli all done with a middle eastern flavor. Definitely worth a visit.
Overall great place for food (Food Hall especially) but not a great place to buy poultry. Bought some fresh Chicken Wings today, however when I went to open the package chicken, there were dead flies and fly eggs in the chicken. This is not okay, I will never buy meat from this store ever again. SO GROSS
Great place! Hope more restaurants come back soon!
I visited the food hall, and the waffle/bubble tea shop had a wide selection of beautifully crafted food and drinks. The tapioca itself wast the best, but their milk teas are where its at.The dumpling shop here also makes fantastic freshly made dumplings, I encourage people to spend the extra dollar and get them fried.
The best Asian market in Madison. Great food court and grocery area if you cook and eat Asian cuisines.
Interesting place, lots of unusual ingredients if you know how to use them. Not all of the food court stalls were open when we visited. Not cheap from what we observed of posted prices. Need someone familiar with Asian cuisine to help you order unless youre more adventurous than us.
Amazing venue with lots of variety. Check out the Banh Mi and other Cambodian and Vietnamese always menu options at Poké-Mì!
This aisan market is a special one it has a food court and lots of variety in dishes I wish this place had more people in it but yeah 10/10 would recommend going again.
Great burgers, onion rings, sunny patio, great service. Came for brunch and had a great time. Will definitely come back soon.
Looks good so far. Some restaurants are open and some to open soon. Looking forward to the Hmong place and the desert place.
Wonderful grocery store with everything you want or need and incredible food vendor selection in the food hall. Every stall is worth trying at least once, we usually have a hard time deciding and order from 4-5 different stalls.
Awesome place! Have yet to have a bad meal in the food court and market has a great selection of snacks and ingredients for your own meals! A must visit!
Just moved to Madison and wondered into this place. Looks like a great place to pick up some Asian grocery items and maybe a meal. I will have to try the different food booths and give an update. I have to find the best pho here. I hope this is the place.
They have the coolest Lays chip flavors!!!
Amazing selection of goodies and Asian alcoholic beverages. So glad to find Makgeolli here! The food court is also awesome with many options for pretty authentic cuisine.
Clean, friendly service, wide selection. Love the food court with red bean buns, bubble teas, espresso and dumplings. Found a nice drink selection, lychee and so much more. Ill be back!
I went to Mexican restaurant booth 4. Arod got the best food n very good prices n portions. I will be back.
One of the most unique markets I have ever been to. Very cool set up. You can easily spend an hour or two here just trying to decide what to eat. Delicious.
Received a few coupons in the mail for Global Market Food Hall. Went there to buy food from Hmong Kitchen and they refused to take the coupon. I was pretty dissapointed. It clearly stated on the ad that the coupon could be used at any food vendor in the Food hall. $1.50 off orders of $10 or more. I spent more than $10. Maybe the store manager didnt notify the food vendors about the coupon?!?
Absolutely love this place. Lots of varieties to eat from. And cool grocery store.
Besides the shopping, they have great food vendors. My new favorite pho place!
Great variety, high quality, attractive decor, fun family atmosphere, while practicing safety through masks and social distancing. Celebrate diversity in Madison!
Beautiful store with a wide variety of goods and snacks galore! Ive been several times and have loved my experience every time. The one thing that bothers me is the lack of aisle signage - maybe a result of their rotating selection? Otherwise a great place to pick up ingredients and sweets.
Really cool! The food court is really impressive, so many places to choose from. Makes East Towne look like a hot dog cart. The market is equally impressive! We usually have to go to two or three different places to get everything we need. Not anymore! They have so much stuff here.Grab something from the meat/seafood counter and take it to the food court and theres a place that will stir fry it right up for you.Im really amped about this place and I hope it sticks around!
Large free off street parking lot. Very large food court setup with about 12 restaurants, 1 bakery and 1 large grocery store. The restaurants are all Asian - American with 1 Mexican. We ordered chicken stir fry, were given buzzer and sat im booth, in very large seating area. Food was good quality and good value.
My go to place for quail eggs and shin black ramen! They also carry durian and tons of seafood. I havent tried any of the food court, but I hear all the places are great!
Good selection of seafood, groceries and ethnics items. The food court has a lot of restaurants and so many choices for a great meal.
Good things for food and loves seafood, my favorite is roasted duck.
Ive tried the food at 5 stalls so far and it all was delicious. I go back for takeout bahn mi regularly.
Amazing place!
Great idea!! I see good things coming for this place.
I love the different items they have here, and the food court is amazing!
Awesome food. I plan to try every shop at some point and take a look at the market end of the outlet. Very nice people.
This is both one of my favorite places to eat and my favorite place to grocery shop in Madison! Amazing options I cant seem to find anywhere else in the area.
Decent place. Wish the alcohol selection was larger
Pretty much the most authentic Chinese/asian market you can expect here
This is the best place to eat in Madison! There are so many options! The entire place is extremely clean and welcoming! I love everything about it!
Simply amazing! Some many wonderful products you cant find anywhere else in the area. Wonderful food court. Spacious and clean.
Mainly asian foods mixed with some western items. A lot of hot pot ingredients. The produce is very fresh. They have live seafood that is well cared for. The food hall has many different food choices. Overall an excellent place to shop. I would wish they had more asian items like h-mart but its still a good mix.
Very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering. The food offered at the food court was also delicious!
Best Asian market Ive ever been to. Such a large variety and lots yummy food to eat inside too!
Lots of offerings in grocery, meat, seafood, and produce departments. Need an Asian item for your recipe? This is the place to find it. The store is CLEAN! Wide aisles to navigate. Also there are a slew (10 or more?) fast food places in the food court. Well worth your trip to stop in here.
It has a good variety of asian restaurants to choose from and eat at. The market area is good but doesnt have some of the food I needed for my asian dishes.
The Asian grocery is clean and organized. I wish there would be more Japanese products though. The only Japanese stuff I saw was some candy at the checkout. The food court has nice ambience. I had the poké and it was so filling I couldn’t finish it.
Great food from the food hall. We got food from Taiwan Street, Dumpling House, and Kawasaki. The Market was very interesting to explore and had many options available.
The size is impressive. The number of items offered, as well as selection is quite good. I would really like to see a better labeling of products and aisles though.Still not decided on the food court area. Im going to have to make a couple more trips to determine.
I had heard that this opened a while ago, but not had a chance to get out yet. Sunday noon, was not too crowded, but busy. Wide aisles, good lighting, and the food court outside the store was huge! If you like dumplings, the freezer section had easily a dozen+ types. Wide variety of interesting veg and fruit, lots of hot pot items, and both fresh and frozen seafood. Very much filling a niche that Madison needed. My only criticism is that the fresh meat tended to be labeled like Berkshire pork but no clue as to what cut the package held. I am not expert enough to figure that out just by eye. Except the duck heads... Those I figured out. Now to figure out what you use duck heads for?
Love this place.. Authentic foods and great prices.
I liked it that the main entrance didnt quite lead me into the market, but into an open space where I could take notice of the market and the restaurants. The art on the giant wall to the left was really impressive. The cleanliness of the general vicinity was very good. There were so many options, for restaurants - most of which looked delicious, offering various cuisines (i.e. Hmong). There was plenty of seating in the middle of the food court. The cashier and bagger at checkout (in the market) were very friendly. I overall really enjoyed my experience. The finishing touch, for me, was a nostalgic sticker machine where I put in 50 cents for a mandala dolphin temporary tattoo, before I exited the building. ✨🐬✨ I, personally, like this place better than the Asian market on Park Street. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
5 stars for a market. It has comprehensive categories.
Try out Hmong kitchen! The Hmong sausage there is fantastic
No...just dont go there. We were quite disappointed with the Taiwanese noodle shop there...bowl bowl??? The beef noodle soup was off & they used pho noodles, (over cooked pho noodles), instead of the correct Taiwanese noodle. This shop is next to the Hmong stall.
Next best thing besides china town in Chicago. Coming from Appleton I miss China town all year, but Madison is close enough for some real Chinese food. The food court has some great selection and the other half of the store is a grocery store. My wife feels like she is back in china as a little kid as she walks the isles of the store!
Always an adventure but a good one Im going to the global market I wish I knew more about Asian food
I like this place. We picked fresh seafood from the market and one of the restaurants made it for us. For dessert, OMG! Try the bakery or grab mochi from the grocery shelves.
Authentic Asian and check out Arods Tex Mex
The boba on the corner by the exit is so bad. Do not buy it. It’s a waste of money. Uncooked bubbles and the milk did not taste like milk. Go else where for boba.
Amazing market and food court!
