Large and well-stocked market with friendly workers. I went in with a list and got everything on it easily, often with multiple options and brands available. They take Google Pay/Apple Pay at checkout (something I noticed because I forgot my wallet). Cant wait to go back!

I have been to the market many times but this was the first time I tried the take out food. It was AWESOME! I had the bahn mi, angel wings, and egg rolls. It was all great will definitely order take out again.

Love this place great selection on asian meats, and vegetables. Most of all love the variety of candys and soda pop n drinks. Place looks old and dirty. Looks like that buildings gonna collapse..

PLEASE WATCH FOR EXPIRATION DATES!! I went here mainly for candy which was okay(not worried about dates on candy) but if you go to any other section such as fish my fiance noticed some of them expire in January 2021 as well as some meats, also the sodas he bought. I got some banana chips that had no date but they were so stale I had to throw them out. Will be back for candy only.

This is a mini cultural vacation to an area like Chinatown in NYC or San Francisco. While I don’t appreciate many of the items sold here, they do have a get selection of things that we buy. It will take years to try all of the different brands of hoisin sauce.

Been to the market it self and the people are super friendly, wide variety of asian products. You should give the restaurant inside a try though... small place BIG flavor!!

Excellent market. My top choice for Asian specialty ingredients. Its easy to get overwhelmed with the choices for products, there is so much variety. Need fish sauce? There are easily 10 different kinds. Dont know what kind of rice is the best? Ask the staff. The staff/ownership has always been very helpful with finding things Im looking for (which can be tough) and recommending the best kind of whatever it is they helped me find.

This place is chock full of wonderful Asian ingredients. I was particularly pleased to find that they had haw candies (my kids love them!) as well as proper Thai tea (not powder). Word to the wise though- it is VERY cold in there. Like refrigerator cold! The owner was friendly and helpful, the variety of goods was excellent, and it was overall a great experience (even if cold!).

Best asian grocery store Ive been to i the Madison area so far. Saves me a trip to going to H Mart in Chicago except for premade foods.

This is the place to go for Oriental groceries in the Monona area! Produce selection rotates regularly; if you dont see what you want track down an employee and ask - they supply restaurants as well and might have some in back for individuals. Thai, chinese, japanese and some Indian ingredients available.

An excellent Asian food store with a wide selection of sauces, oils, chilis, ramen, and fresh vegetables including bok choy, bean sprouts, rambutan (in season) Thai eggplant, and much more. You can find Asian sausage, frozen fish, and many Eastern snacks. Luke, who runs it, has more than once helped me with my cooking, and his advice is good.

Viet Hoa is a fantastic pan-Asian grocery. Youll find all kinds of specialty vegetables, fruits, meats, candies, and plenty more. While youre in there, check out Hot and Spicy, a small restaurant/service counter. Absolutely delicious!

This a great Asian market! So many varieties of instant noodles in particular. They also have a small restaurant. Haven’t tried the food yet but it looks and smells amazing. Looks very authentic as well. Mom and pop style.

This place is beyond wonderful. During such a trying time you are greeted with hand sanitizer and gloves at the door. The stock of products in store is wonderful and clean. We had a bit of an issue with a product we purchased to no fault of the staff or owners, but upon calling.. we were given a full refund with some very sweet gifts for the trouble followed by profuse apologies. I have never been treated so kindly by owners of an establishment who were eager to make things right. I will be back and they have my business from now on. Great people, great selection and very nice environment. Would reccomend any time.

Went to the hot and spicy Asian place within the store. Have been there a couple times now and everything is made to order, the food is so good! I just wish they delivered and were open later. It closes at 7, before the store does. Highly recommend this place!

I stop at this Market once a week for my Asian greens and medicinal vegetables that you cannot get in local grocery stores like bitter melon. Being from Florida, I used to grow all these vegetables in my garden. Now, with the limited season it is sometimes difficult to get these hot weather vegetables into my diet. I really like this Market but I would like to see a little more put into organic options.

Everything you would expect to see and more at an ethnic grocery store! Wide selection and great prices...for Madison, WI. The service is excellent. The person running the shop goes out of his way to stop and ask if you need help finding anything and always has great recommendations.

This is the only place in Madison that has my favorite Vietnamese soy sauce (Nam Duong)! I was so excited that I finally found it! And the guy who was working at the time was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back again!

Owners and staff are very helpful, but the place looks like it have not been cleaned for years. They need to tidy up a little bit.

Has a wide selection of things: dry goods, seasonings, some tools and housewares, frozen foods, and fresh produce. On top of all this, they also have a delicious little restaurant at the back: probably the best pho Ive had in Madison. You know its real when theres more than sriracha and fish sauce on the table. If that werent enough, people that worked here were kind and helpful as well. Looking forward to stopping by more!

This store sells expired food! I was trying to buy preserved pickle but found those products have labels of best before 2012 or 2013, but this store is still selling those in 2018...

Beware of BAD bags of rice, produce, meat, and condiments at this store! Viet Hoa Market on Monona Dr in Madison will no longer receive my business. Not only have the quality of their food declined, they have a horrible return policy. We bought a bag of rice from there last week and when we opened the bag yesterday, it did not smell good at all. We know that rice shouldn’t which smell like much of anything but if it smells musty or rancidity then that probably means that moisture got into it and mold grew or the facts in the rice have expired. So, when this bag of rice smelled musty and stale, we felt it might have gone bad. We went back to the store to ask for an exchange for a new bag of rice but the male owner refused. He said that the bag of rice didn’t have any smell and since it was already opened, he wouldn’t exchange it. I know that groceries don’t get returned often, but when a customer is not satisfied with the food because of a potential foodborne illness, I think there should be something that can be done. He didn’t offer an apology or anything to help the situation. What a horrible return policy and bad customer service! Their business was booming at one time but now it’s slowly dying and customers are going elsewhere for their fresh produce. This was very upsetting to us and we had to leave the store without having the issue resolved. Not only is we left with paying the price of a bad product but she will have to throw the smelly bag of rice away. We feel very disappointed with this interaction, as we usually shop there but now they have lost us as customers. I wont be buying from them again. If you buy stuff from that store, beware of the items you purchase there!

This market/deli has a large variety of groceries. Im not an expert on Asian/ethnic food but my friend is and she was pretty impressed. They have produce, sauces, sweet snacks, etc. Also the pho and eggrolls from the deli are amazing. They have only one variety (beef and meatball pho) and 2 small tables, but its good for a quick bite with friends.

A local favorite to buy asian groceries. They have a wide variety of everything they carry. Viet Hoa also makes the best Banh Mi Sandwiches in the Madison Area. Give them a try!

Ive gone on three separate occasions to try M.O.M.s Deli during their hours of operation and they have been close. Dont post hours if youre not open. Its a waste of peoples time.

Theres a great little kitchen in the back that serves delicious phó, laab, pork belly and Hmong ginger flavored pork sausage, among other things. Everything was delicious. The soup was outstanding, but the sausage was just about the best thing weve had in a restaurant in months. They sell uncooked sausages in the grocery section, along with a great selection of Asian comestibles and raw ingredients. Their produce section includes a variety of mushrooms including eryngii, hard to find fruits and vegetables, such as jackfruit, and assorted herbs. The restaurant takes cash or a chit to present at the checkout in the front if you want to use plastic.

First time there, pho was great

Spoiled vegetables. Moldy fruits. Moldy pastries. I told one of the workers there that they should remove those products but she told me that the owner said no. So with that being said, the owner knows what he he is selling. One time, I bought a bag of vegetables and when I opened it, all the spoiled vegetables were in the middle hidden by the good ones on the outside. Never buy vegetables from there. The can and dry product shelves are way over stocked so who knows how long it has been on the shelves.The store was great when it first open, but now it has decline. One more thing, there is NO heat in this place. So if you plan to shop here, dont do it in the cold season.
