A great local scoop shop. Quite a few flavors and good quality ice cream. I had the vanilla for my first visit here and it was top-notch. Vanilla is always the test. If you cant do a good vanilla, your starting base is already bad. Good news is this one is a win!

I believe Tiffany and Annie have both taken care of my husband and I the times I’ve been to the store and they are both excellent with CS. I’ve also ordered delivery dangerously amazing the service… I’m usually craving ice cream right before the store closes and they always deliver pretty fast! Love it! (My favorite flavors so far are roasted coconut + chocolate chips and pumpkin spice)

Great ice cream (the best weve tasted in town), vegan options, great flavor, and good prices. The staff are always so friendly!The only negatives, in my opinion, are the metal seating inside with the really cold air-conditioning makes it not as comfortable an atmosphere to sit and relax. But, otherwise, amazing place!

I love that they make everything on site & dont use artificial ingredients. I especially love, as someone who has dietary restrictions, that they offer keto options. They were offering keto cookies & cream, and I was thrilled that the cookies were made with almond flour (aka gluten-free) and were an option I could enjoy along with my family!!

My family went for the first time the other day, and we were so excited to try it out! The quality of the ice cream was amazing. My kids loved theirs and my husband was blown away by how good his was. My diet requires me to eat gluten and dairy free, so I was wondering how their vegan flavors would taste. Ive had many from other brands that dont really taste amazing and taste so heavily of coconut milk that I feel like Im always getting the same flavor. However, I got the vegan blueberry crumb and it was AMAZING. I was so excited to have an ice cream that tasted so amazing (like blueberry cheesecake) and for it to be gluten and dairy free! They used a blend of coconut milk and cashew milk which made for a great flavor that didnt just taste like coconut like the other ice creams Ive had elsewhere. I highly recommend Outside the Cone! My family will definitely be visiting again.

The ice cream was very good, but ill be honest, its not the *best* ice cream ive ever had, or even the best ive had recently. Not sure why the insane level of hype? What this girl would really like is to see a cafe or an ice cream parlor that serves gelato in LYH. I said what I said.

This will be our new ice cream place, every flavor we tried was amazing, we had the dairy free blueberry, cookies and cream, cotton candy, espresso, and cookie dough. The price wasnt bad either, and I feel like we more then got the value from it. We will definitely be back too try more flavors and options

Wooow! This is cream was seriously amazing. I had the triple mint and was not disappointed, the most minty ice cream Ive had. It was all smooth, creamy and flavorful. Everyones flavor selection was great and the staff were friendly. Cant wait to come back.

Delicious ice cream (I had the butter pecsn), and a terrific waffle cone which was definitely worth the upcharge! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The shop is best entered from the entrance off the parking lot in the back during busy times as thats where the line wraps around to.

Our favorite place to go for indulgent treat! The flavors are unlike anything you’ll get anywhere else! We travel a bit, and often try local ice cream shops that feature “homemade” ice cream, and have yet to find anything even close to the offerings at this wonderful Lynchburg ice cream shop!!! The prices are so reasonable, and you get so much bang for your buck! Definitely go here and treat yourself!

My son has a dairy allergy...so Outside the Cone is our new favorite go to for ice cream. They always offer 2 different vegan flavors and have 1 KETO option. They keep the classics on hand, and rotate unique flavors. Absolutely delicious! You can even take home a pint. We actually just placed an order for a custom tub of ice cream for my sons upcoming birthday party...vegan cotton candy. They were more than obliging and were quick in responding to my request for info (I sent a message through their website).All in all, I highly recommend

Outside the Cone is the best icecream shop in Lynchburg!! Knowing that the ingredients are all-natural without artificial colorings makes it even better! So many ice creams taste heavy or too sweet because of the “extras” added into it, but they never fail to outdo themselves! With new flavors coming in each week, it’s hard to stay away! Because of these qualities, I chose them to cater my wedding!! I was honestly most excited about the icecream for the whole meal and it was so worth it having icecream we truly enjoy over cake we might not even like! Both Allison and Emma were so much fun and served the guests in such a kind manner and the whole process was so personal from start to finish, making sure we had all the flavors and options we enjoyed most. After the wedding, all my guests talked about was how amazing and fresh the icecream tasted, especially the “Bee My Honeycomb!” Thank you all, always! I’d recommend them to anyone!

You can try a sample any ice cream you want before you make your final decision and the staff never gets annoyed even if you are like me and you want to try like half of the flavors lol!The staff is super kind !They have keto flavors, vegan flavors, and then of course the real deal ! I like it because every time I go in there the flavors are usually different with a few that are always the same !Did I mention I am not even really an ice cream person ? They had two vegan flavors available which is a huge plus for all lactose intolerant people like me. Their ice cream is made in store, it was smooth and creamy. We will definitely be going there again!

Delicious and creative flavors. My favorites include the rooibos and honey, bee my honeycomb, and the banana pudding, but I love them all. Very friendly and very hard working staff, always nice and always delivering fresh ice cream every day. Extremely high quality product.

All homemade icecream. Very good flavors different everyime I come in. The downside is you dont know if the flavor you loved will be there when you go back. The upside is there is always new flavors to try. Seems great quality and well worth checking out.

Love the flavors and the service! The lady was so sweet and even asked if we were interested in sampling. She also informed me about their point system. The store is very kid-friendly - went in with a toddler and an infant, and we were able to sit and enjoy our ice cream. I also like the ice cream bowls they use. And you have to try their seasonal flavors before they are removed. Please bring back the fig flavor!

The place felt welcoming from the min you walk in the door...We were asked if we wanted to sample anything and of course we did 😜🤷 I ended up getting the vegan salted caramel in a come...the ice cream was really good however I do think they could cut back on the sugar I felt like I needed a bottle of water while i was eating and after i finished my ice cream... I will go back and try different vegan flavors when offered...

Some of the best ice cream Ive ever had, and Ive had a lot of ice cream. The consistency is rich, creamy, and fluffy...Its really hard to compare another ice cream to it because its so unique. The prices are a little on the higher end but Ill definitely be going back!

I dont mind paying five dollars for a milkshake. I do mind paying five dollars for 2/3 of a milkshake. l guess I looked surprised when handed my less than full cup (the dome on top made it look even worse) and was told that they normally fill it up with whipped cream so it looks full, but their whipped cream wasnt working. At least she was honest! it was delicious though! Maybe next time Ill get a full one.

This place is so great that my wife and I drive an hour to get there....and its worth it! They come up with some delicious flavors, including Keto and Vegan options! I also really appreciate that they use biodegradable bowls! Not only is the ice cream top notch, but they also have awesome cookies and cake pops!

Its great to have an ice cream shop open in Lynchburg! This place sells delicious ice cream that I cant recommend enough. Try one of their unique flavors such as maple, bacon and waffle and you wont be disappointed. Im excited to try their new flavors as they change them out! Kind of addictive-

A nice change from all the other local ice cream shops that just sell Hersheys brand ice cream. They have truly unique flavors that seem made in-house.Theirs was good ice cream in unique flavors. They let you sample them before you buy. Portions were good. Prices were fair. And we had a nice time visiting with friends and trying to keep entertained.Well be back, and eager to see what new flavors will be there!

I am not a great lover of ice cream, but took my grandchildren here as a treat. I had the Butter Pecan and it was absolutely brilliant. My grandson ate his so fast I couldnt believe it, my granddaughter had never finished an ice cream finished every last drop. This is hand made ice cream, its pricey, but it really is a special treat.

They make their own ice cream, and it is absolutely fantastic!! They are decently priced, have incredibly friendly service, and, of course, it tastes great. Outside The Cone also has Lab Flavours where they test out different combinations for a limited time, so you never quite know what creations will be available when you go to visit.

Good value for the size. Solid basics and a few oddballs for trying something new. Great customer service. Helped pack one to go. When warmer, have outside seats.

Absolutely amazing ice cream place. Located in the Wyndhurst area youre welcomed immediately by the smell of their homemade waffle cones. Because of the wonderful smell I had one with a limit time coconut, caramel, chocolate blend which was to die for. Staff was friendly and really shows they are passionate for the ice cream they make and the cistomers themselves. Move over Mister Goodies looks like I have a new favorite ice cream spot in town!

Cute shop with lots of seating and a friendly staff. I had a flight and my favorite flavor was the blueberry goat cheese graham. It tasted just likes blueberry cheese cake! Their cups and spoons are compostable which shows that they truly care for the environment!

They used my company American Moving and Storage to help with a move so we got to know them and I can tell you that these are some of the nicest folks in Lynchburg!
