So good!! So many flavors and choices! I went with my all time favorite, the orange sherbet and vanilla swirl! I got a small cone that was anything but small! The best part is that the soft delicious ice cream lasts to the very bottom and last bite of the cone! Im so glad its close by with plenty of parking and tables outside. Cant wait t go again!

Absolutely love Mr Goodies. It and Rookies are both in a league of their own when it comes to ice cream shops in the Lynchburg area.100% recommend it because of their large menu, good quality product, and also the large choice of dairy free, vegan, and gluten free options. The traditional banana split is my personal favorite and definitely worth a try. The brownies are also exquisite.

Great variety. Generous portions. Kind and quick service. Located at the edge of a large parking lot. They do have some tables with umbrellas to provide shade, but there isnt much shade at their site, so it can be hot.

Mr. Goodies is amazing soft serve ice cream that I seriously cant get enough of! Made fresh daily with a variety of flavors!! Delicious! And they have another place - a food truck in The Backyard on Forest Rd near Kroger called Cow Licks. Hard ice cream made fresh daily. My favorite is the coconut and the cake batter flavors!!! Sweet addiction!!!

Great dairy free options, and a cool carnival type atmosphere. I tried the dairy free mint cookies and cream, and it tasted just like ice cream. Definitely would come back for this. The peanut butter flavor I also tried, but it was not nearly as good. Overall, good place, reasonable price, and good ice cream. Would definitely go back.

A classic. Oversized portions of cold treats -- desserts to snow cones to sundaes. Friendly staff, outdoor seating, convenient location. Dog friendly picnic benches with some shaded ones and a big maple tree if you want to DIY picnic.

I ordered a hot fudge brownie Sunday. It was very very good. The brownie was a tad on the old side, but it was still good, nonetheless. The service was fast and friendly, which in todays social climate, or lack thereof, is rather refreshing. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking for a safe, family environment to take your loved ones such as your children and or grandchildren for a treat. Going there reminds me of when my father used to take us to the icecream parlor when I was a child. It was always a treat.

The ice cream is always good and reasonably priced! The girl who knows my order hasn’t been there the last few times and i had a difficult time trying to place my order because the employees were too busy talking to each other.

The Mr. Goodies experience at the Boonsboro location spoiled me. The hand dipped scoops of every conceivable variety of ice cream along with the generous helping of toppings made this the ice cream experience of choice in Lynchburg...that is until they closed. I suppose I shouldnt have carried those same expectation to this location...after all, it is just a steal shipping container with an inflatable ice cream cone on top, garnished with some neon lights. Looks can be deceiving however, especially in the confectionary realm. Yet, despite the impressive (and some what dizzying) menu selection, this location would be more aptly named Soft Serve Central. Given the 7:1 ice cream (if you could even call it that) to toppings ratio on a $6 Sunday, I was left somewhat disenchanted. I hate to give this low ranking to any business, and admittingly it was largely due to my own outsized expectation; but I think it would be fair to offer this warning to potential customers...curb your enthusiasm.- UPDATE -In light of a well crafted reply, I feel perhaps the above review was not with sufficient caveat. Mr. Goodies, when it comes to soft serve, please understand, it’s not you, it’s me with the hang up. As such I have bumped your ranking by a star. I feel this is sufficient given your very friendly staff and quaint outdoor seating area, reminiscent of a grand Cony Island experience from yesteryear. In the future, when I consider an ice cream run, I will endeavor to be more discerning.

THEY GIVE YOU SOOOO MUCH ICE CREAM!! A kid’s cone or cup is plenty for an adult. They offer multiple dairy free flavors as well, but because they come from a tub they couldn’t give us chocolate covered dairy free ice cream standing up in a cone, it had to be in a cup. Very very filling and tasty. I wish they had a quantity smaller than a kid’s cone though, I might spilt a kid’s with someone next time.

Mister Goodies is a Lynchburg tradition. The ice cream is great and the staff is pretty friendly. The portions are huge and prices are relatively cheap. If you’re new to the area, I would definitely check this out!

We love this place and look forward to a treat whenever we visit the area. Their menu is huge! The Biscoff Cookie soft serve is my favorite but its a special flavor not offered all the time, so check them on Facebook to see what the specials of the week are. Last time we were there, my fiance and I had brownie fudge sundaes and they were excellent! They have lots of tables set up and the line may look long, but they get through it pretty quick. Its worth the short wait!

Mister Goodies is a staple when it comes to dessert in Lynchburg. The employees are really nice, the ice cream is simple but really good (and they have a great variety), and their prices are fair. This is definitely a place you should check out. If you do you will probably find yourself coming back again and again. Its also a great place to grab ice cream and then sit around in the parking lot and hang with friends

Overall a really good place to get ice cream. Along with a few others around town, Mister Goodies is in our regular rotation of places we go for frozen dairy treats. They usually pull me in with their flavor of the week soft serve swirls. Recent ones included coconut/lime, wedding cake/lemon (super good!) and cookie dough/brownie batter. Occasionally, I will ask for it in a cone but it comes in a cup instead and itll frustrate me for a few minutes but I get over it and still keep going back. Also its definitely one of the places where you get the most value: large portions for relatively low price. A small here is what a medium would be at some other places.

Great price and menu

9 inch tall sundae in a 2 inch cup so you get to eat all the whip cream first, then a pound of ice cream before you get to the cup with the actual flavor. Great showmanship but not practical to eat. First you have to stand 6 feet apart in line because of covid but instead of using the pick up window, most people have to pick up at the window they ordered while fighting through a crowd of people waiting for their order and other people trying to make their order. Ice cream is ok, I could get a box of Drumsticks & be just as happy and save money. The people are nice though.
