Very nice, clean, and quiet store. It’s just a normal Barnes & Noble which isn’t a bad thing. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is well kept.

Very clean store, staff was helpful and nice. They had a good variety of last chance items, im which my kids were able to find a toy for pretty cheap. The prices didnt reflect what they had on them, but the cashier was able to fix it quickly and without quarrel! Love b&n. Just sad there isnt one closer to me!

I come to this location for their Discounted/Clearance section. The store itself is clean, quiet, and well organized; and theyve got quite a collection of board games. I do wish they did a better job of rotating stock to the discount section, but I understand why it can take a while. The staff is also willing to barter some on discounted items, which is always a plus!

Honored to be the 1000th review of this wonderful b&n, they have such a great selection between books, music, manga, games and more! And the employees that work there are great to talk to, along with the Starbucks workers and delicious coffee/drinks!!

I couldnt find what I was looking for today, but it has been a while since Ive actually been in the store to purchase. I was displeased to find the garden section condensed to such a small size and moved so closely to the bathrooms that the interactions with others in need of the loo were inevitable and awkward. Isnt gardening a hot trend in 2021? It could have a little more space I think. Otherwise the store is always clean and the staff is super-friendly!

First time in a longtime back in person at the Barnes & Nobles. I miss the sheer smell of books and the various collections of new releases…There is a serene experience to walking in isles and enjoy seeing books after books!

Theres something comfortable about being surrounded by books. The quiet lull of people taking books off the shelves, drinking coffee, or reading through pages, always feels like home. The staff here go out of their way to assist you without being a bother.If youve never been to a Barnes and Noble its an excellent place for a first date, or a 31st date, a great spot to do homework or just to catch up on reading.

They need baskets !! i’m tired of carrying around all my books,other barnes and nobles have baskets but this one doesn’t.

The information lady didnt have much information. She acted annoyed at simple questions and was not showing interest in helping. She was hard to find. Mocked us for not knowing an author of a book when it was a gift for someone else and I only knew the title. I asked about another book set by the authors name and she mocked us for not having the book title. If I knew all of that, I wouldnt need an information desk.

Ive enjoyed coming here ever since I was a child. Wonderfully curated selection of books and movies, a lovely cafe, and tasteful decor and store flow have made this particular Barnes & Noble a distinct pleasure to visit.

People slowly starting to come back in. Good to see. Everyone including staff trying to be safe as possible taking necessary precautions.

You get what you pay for. The store is very clean and well-organized. But of course Barnes & Noble pretty much is on the expensive side of bookstores. With a Starbucks cafe inside the store it makes it a nice experience to sit back and enjoy your coffee and preview some books or magazines.

I love it, just wish it had more Godzilla items.

I was visiting Lynchburg on other business & stopped by to pick up a book my child needed for school. The price was great on the book and I found two books for me at a great discount. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Masks were worn by the staff according to regulations.

Great Barnes & Noble with plenty in stock. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. Im always impressed that they have what Im looking for. Wait before buying a coffee or something in the shop until after I purchase they will give you 10 to 20% off to use in the coffee shop after you make a purchase.

I love books. I love the smell of books. I love the way books look when you burn them in a religious rebellion. Im kidding, dont burn books kids, instead, go to barnes and nobles and get you a good book of your choosing.

I like B&N and have a membership that I renew yearly but my hubby bought me a nook for Christmas and there is nothing like kindle unlimited. And I cant find books that Ive been reading on my kindle in the B&N store.

Their books are overpriced in my opinion. The membership is only worth it if you like their coffee which I dont so...yeah.

Love the layout of this store. Everything is clearly labeled and you can spend hours in here and not see everything. B&N has something for everyone at any age, they are much more than just books and cafe. The only downside for me is their overpriced media such as movies, those prices are just astoundingly high. Overall though its a beautiful store with a great layout. Ill be back for sure.

Had the Lucky Charm cookies and bought a Yahtzee game & aPlein Air magazine...all good!!! Friendly people work there too!

Great prices and great selection no master what you prefer reading. Also have a great game selection for board games for all ages. You can order online or in the store if they dont have what you want in stock. Worth getting a membership too if you have a family that reads.

Your typical experience with a B&N store location. The store was clean and cozy as most are. It was closing time as we were reminded on several occasions.

Seats are comfortable. Temperature in theater was exactly right for me. Employees courteous. Not too loud but I could hear everything. Only thing I wish could be improved upon was the disabled section was too close to the front of the theater. To take advantage of new effects I would rather sit further back.

They have no outlets to plug in computers etc. I found one and asked if I could move a chair next to it so I could do some work. I was literally the only person there. They said I couldn’t do that due to COVID protocols lol. If you act like that, you get one star. Also, what kind of coffee shop has no outlets?

I always love barnes and noble stores, they are awesome, i even found an old childhood favorute book.

The only kind thing I can say about Barnes and Noble stores is that they still sell books. The reality is, if you are looking for well written, stirring works of literature, look at the local book stores. The technical and how-to section offers the best quality written material although often the books are poorly manufactured in China and will fall apart with use.

I love visiting our local Barnes and Nobel here in Lynchburg! I usually sit in here and just hang for hours.

B&N used to be better, of course, but they are really trying to make do/survive as reading declines or turns digital. Their successes include: 1, being one of the only stores left to sell DVDs, vinyl records, and music on CD, 2, they have the classics on the shelf for cheap, 3, they have awesome board games. All three of these make todays B&N the big box nostalgia retailer. If you understand the appeal of a B&N visit, you will better understand your reactionary neighbors and fellow citizens.

This is my favorite place in the whole world. It has all the entertainment you could ever need. The starbucks is a lovely place to study or hangout with friends. Good prices and deals. Very helpful staff. 10/10

I love hitting B&Ns when Ive got time to spare and am in need of a good book. Their sales were fantastic (almost 50% off my purchase before even applying a member discount!) and the staff was very friendly. I was the only person in line at checkout, so I even had the chance to talk with the cashier about different series and get some recommendations for what I pick up next. Just a great experience with a store thats never disappointed before.

This store is very clean and the restrooms are too. The books are well organized and the selection is huge. Its worth making a trip out from Roanoke if you want a peaceful day reading books, with good customer service. Their childrens section is very large as well, and far enough away from the seating that even if a child is being noisy it shouldnt bother you.

There isnt really anything to say, its Barnes N Noble, of course its amazing, book stores are an endangered species, but Im so happy this one is still standing strong.

Our family likes to visit the bookstore every chance we get. Good selection and great staff. Best coffee around. Snacks and activities for the kids.

The store keeps its one hunned. Books are super organized, and presentable. I dont drink coffee, but the small sitting area around the Starbucks seems nice. Employees are swell, and the book selection is wonderful. Also, for those into vinyl. The selections are modest with the usual pricing. Not bad. One final thing to add, the music selection can be super interesting sometimes. Whip out google assistant, and have it listen in. Found some amazing songs randomly.

We come here regularly. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The boys enjoy treats in the cafe and time in the kids section for exploring and playing. The summer reading program is nice. They read 8 books, fill out the sheet and bring it in for a free book. My 7 year old is already working to fill his out.

Love the products that the store offers. Its one of those places you can look around for hours. They have an amazing board game section to discover new games. The prices are high but the quality is good. You get what you pay for. I would recommend finding products that you like and then ordering them off Amazon to save money.

I hope you have time and patience to stand in line. The customer line was backed to the magazines, and the cashier allowed two customers to manage to hold the line up while they discussed whatever they happened to think of.I appreciate good customer service, but that includes tending to ALL customers in a timely fashion.

This place is a trap for nerds like myself. So many goodies now that they have redone the DVD sections and replace it with board games and all other collections of awesome stuff. Never had issues with this place other than the bathroom is usually gnarly. Outside of that, the Starbucks is clean and the tables are always neat.

Very friendly environment, pet friendly too! My only disappointment is that the one section I went in to browse was very small and their werent many resources there. Otherwise, its a great location.

Great selection! Can get a lot of your Christmas shopping done here in a reasonable time. Staff is always very helpful and kind. Theres a Starbucks coffee located inside as well as public restrooms. Also has free WiFi and is a great location for studying or private meetings.

Over done the social distancing in the cafe. Almost no tables set, lots out of service the could have been safely used

It is a cool place to sit and read or browse the books. They have a pretty wide selection for most categories, and the cafe is really nice.

This isnt one of those Advanced active Barnes and Nobles or the super large cafes or the bustle of of several college students studying away but this is a really nice when it comes to customer service finding a book or getting on ordered and and I also really love the fact that theyre concentrating more on line items for kids and families to enjoy together instead of just that large music section that they used to have

These guys are great. Price is reasonable for the books they offer here and they have an excellent selection too. I will continue to come here as my primary choice for books.

My favorite chain bookstore just because of the size and overall vibe (though not as awesome as it was 20-25 years ago). Seems like theres less emphasis on books and more on music, electronics, & gifts now, which I understand because a business sometimes has to evolve but I miss the way it used to be.

The young lady that helped me at the counter was awesome And the manager you going back to find my receipt for me after I had the wrong email address linked to my account. Great to have friendly faces and helpful people when walking into a store.

Actually, it was a while back when I went there. I found those who ran it rude and curt. I am not a folder and it was my first time playing. I would never go back and most likely not pursue this past time. Grounds were maintained
