All the people at Endurance are awesome! I have been taking my car to them for three years now and I have no complaints. Their customer service is impeccable. I am a NJ transplant and have had my vehicles (most of them older) to quite a few auto repair shops in the area. The repair shop I used in NJ was owned by a family friend who did excellent work and just as important to me, someone I trusted. When we moved to Lynchburg about 9 years ago I desperately tried to find a shop with those same qualities. These qualities are extremely important to me as I own older vehicles. About three years ago I found myself once again needing some work done on one of my vehicles and did some on-line searching. After reading some positive reviews on Endurance Auto I decided to give them a try. Well, after searching and trying a number of shops over a 6 year period, my search is over; I have found my auto repair shop. I could not be happier with the auto repair work I have had performed at Endurance over the past three years. They continue to exceeded all of my expectations. Steve (and I believe his wife), the Endurance technicians and the entire staff are not only friendly and courteous, they are excellent at their trade. I have referred Endurance Auto to a number of my coworkers. One of my coworkers is a lifelong Lynchburg resident who tried the shop out based on my recommendation (he is in the same situation as I am with older vehicles) and now uses them for all of his auto repair needs. In closing I would like to say that one should not hesitate to take any of their vehicles to Endurance Auto for your auto repair needs. My experience with them is on older vehicles however I see plenty of newer vehicles in their lot every time I’m there to drop one of mine off. And it’s important to mention that an auto repair shop has more opportunities to gouge you (recommending you need repairs when you really don’t) when you have an older vehicle. They just don’t do that. They categorize their findings as those needing immediate attention down to those recommended at a later date. They have never pressured me. Kudos to Steve and the entire Endurance Auto Team. You have definitely earned my business and more importantly, my trust. FYI - just had my 2002 Nissan Pathfinder in for a rear main seal repair - big job. For the first time in over 10 years my vehicle sat overnight in the driveway and didn’t leak oil onto the drip tray I purchased to put under it. I was on the fence on having this work done due to the vehicle age and being high mileage; decided to go for it. Glad I did!!

Ive been getting all of my big service work done at Endurance now for about 5-7 years and trust them to stand behind every repair they do. They are upfront about the expense, will help you understand why the costs are what they are, and make sure youre clear on your vehicles current and future needs. They dont try to upsell you unneeded services, so if they are recommending it, its legit. Its very hard to find an honest AND competent mechanic, and you can rest assured you have both in this shop.

EDIT - See original review below. The owner himself called me up to discuss this issue. Couldnt be happier with the resolve of this group. Above and beyond to fix, and retain. Im sure Ill be back.They came highly recommended, so new in town I brought my vehicle there. I called ahead of dropping it off and gave the details of what I wanted fixed and investigated. When they sent me their results, they hadnt looked into one of the major things I wanted checked. They indicated it wasnt part of the appointment sheet, despite me asking for it at the initial call. They assured me theyd look into it and we hung of from there. It is now after close of the same day and I havent received any additional call regarding my vehicle, which I was planning on having back today. Ill make due, but would have appreciated some communication about it.

Tim, Jay, and the rest of the crew are just great. They do a good job, let you know up front whats going on, how long the repairs will take and how much its going to cost. Theyre upfront, honest, and very friendly.

Customer service was top notch. I was having an inspection done and they kept me updated throughout the process. I was told my brakes failed inspection and was sent photos for proof via text . I was impressed by that. I had a unique issue with the airbag system that is going to take multiple days to repair. I was asked about my transportation needs right away and they accommodated me. The care for the customer is priority at this business. They made sure to get back to me in a reasonable amount of time with pertinent information. My vehicle will definitely be back at this business and I will be recommending Endurance for anyones vehicle needs.

I went there the other day because something seemed off with my car battery . As a college girl who knows nothing about cars, they were great with helping me & making me feel safe with whatever was going on . All the workers were so kind & helpful . Created such a safe environment for everyone .

Stephen inspected the car as if it was a car he was about to purchase, offered insight/advice about buying used cars, answered all of my questions with detail, and even offered to give feedback over email regarding any future cars I might consider. I had an excellent experience here. The staff were very kind and helpful, and they also showed me pictures of the different parts of my car that they were looking at so I could see what they were talking about. I originally went there to have my engine light looked at because it came on, and when they were taking a look at it they also discovered that my brakes were rusted through, badly cracked, and my rotors were worn thin. They replaced all of those things in a couple of hours and I was able to get my car back the same day. Knowing now how disastrous it could’ve been if I had continued to drive my car in the condition it was in, I’m glad that I was inconvenienced by having my engine light turn on. God was definitely looking out for me. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a professional, timely, and honest business. 💯💯

My sister was in the process of buying a used car and needed a shop to examine one of her prospects. Although shed never been, she decided to have Endurance do a vehicle inspection.Steve was very thorough, and looked over the car, took it for a test drive, and explained to the both of us the significance of all the things he noted. Given his advice, my sister realized this wasnt her dream car (at least not at the price listed). He took the time to give us a few pointers on bargaining and then told us his work was free of charge and that he would be happy to look over a few of the other options on the table if we emailed him their fact sheets.Would definitely recommend if you are in the process of buying a car and Im planning on setting up an appointment with them to get my own car looked at. Everyone was kind and went above and beyond. Looks like I found my Auto repair shop.

I’m a new customer with Endurance Auto Repair and Tire, but have used them now on repairs to m Ford Taurus and Silverado 2500 HD. I was very impressed with how they do business. Professional, on time, thorough and took time to explain what was found in diagnosing the problem and recommended repairs. I’m definitely going back next time I need regular service or repairs. Didn’t actually get into the shop, but called with a few questions about emission testing and learned that my out of state car couldn’t be tested in Virginia. Steve was extremely friendly, patient, and explained the whole situation to me. The customer service alone will have me back for any future car needs!

Took my vehicle in for a complete inspection, bumper to bumper. They caught things, with photos, that had no idea. Made the decision to purchase a new vehicle over fixing the old one much easier. Highly recommend.

This review is past due and a long story but here goes. The professionalism that was shown was superb! I took my vehicle to them to get a timing chain. They fixed my timing chain (in 2 day turnaround, so very fast, quality service). The price that they quoted me vs what their website quoted me was different. They worked with customer service with the website and stood behind the price that the website gave me but get this, the quote I got was not coming up for them theirs was actually cheaper. I was ok with paying the quote I was given as it was still less than the quote not from the site. I paid my quote and they went even further and continued to talk with the customer service department from the website and I was given a refund. I was impressed with the fact that the owner was going above and beyond to make it right! Oh and as an update on my vehicle it was fixed in February or the first week in March and here it is almost June and it is still running as good as it did when I first bought it. I am satisfied that I was able to get my vehicle fixed ans the customer service made the experience better!!

I was sent to Endurance Auto Repair when the car dealership couldnt figure out the CEL for my vehicle. Steves team had it diagnosed in less than 4 hours and fixed the next day. Endurance Auto provides great service. They replaced our daughters battery in her vehicle last year and just last week, the car wouldnt start. We had the vehicle towed and they diagnosed it. After the diagnosis, they proceeded to correct the issue free of charge. I would highly recommend Endurance Auto for your car repairs.

We were on our way from Knoxville TN to Prince George VA when we blew a fuel line. I immediately Googled auto repair near me and found that Endurance Auto was both close and had an awesome rating, so I called them. They gave us the number for Ethan the tow man and he was there in 5 mins. He quickly got us hooked up and to the shop. The shop was clean and the parking lot was full. The waiting room had air conditioning, a tv, nice couches, and a phone charging station. Even though the shop was closing soon they checked our car and got the part and had it fixed and us back on the road in a litter over an hour. Amazing and saved us from a lot of stress on our vacation. Would recommend them to everyone!

I had an issue with an unusually sized tire that popped off the rim. I called the shop and they told me to come right in. This place is the best! They are always extremely professional and friendly and provide a quick but very thorough diagnosis every time. The people were very friendly and knowledgeable. They handled my claim and dealt directly with the adjuster many times. It took some time but good service sometimes does.

Having taken my vehicles to many different repair shops, I have found one that surpasses them in all in every aspect. Not only is Endurance Auto Repair trustworthy and honest, they are extremely friendly! I took my 1997 Honda CRV to Endurance based upon a recommendation and I saw first hand how that recommendation was correct. They explain exactly what needs to be done and keep you informed as well. I had such a great experience with Endurance Auto. I needed my tire patched asap and they got me in the same day and even offered to do my insepction as well since it was due. I had my dog with me and I waited in the outside seating area. It was a really hot day and they invited us inside and gave my dog some water. That was so incredibly kind! Its a big deal for me when a business accommodates pets, even when its not a normal thing that they do. Today my tire was indicating low pressure and they checked it and filled them back up for free. The team at Endurance is outstanding!!! My daughters car was towed there after an accident. The staff was so friendly, helpful, and patient as we worked through the seemingly endless red tape with our insurance provider. The mechanical team made sure we got the best quality parts and workmanship for the repairs. The front office staff kept us apprised of the progress and expected ready date and time. Cant say enough good things about Endurance, the work that is done on my vehicles, and the employees that work there. I do not and will not take my vehicles anywhere else. I normally do my own auto repairs because I don’t normally have the extra cash to pay a mechanic / don’t trust most mechanics. But Endurance Auto has been great with every vehicle I have brought to them. They were able to fix my wife’s car when I had no idea what was wrong. They actually call you back when your car is finished. With Endurance Auto you don’t have to worry about what level of service you will get the next time you take your car in because they always provide the best level of care and service you should expect from an auto mechanic. Steve and his wife Sara provide the best customer service and Steve is always willing to give me advance on how to fix my cars myself. You guys are awesome. Keep up the good work.

They were great. They got me in instantly when CareMax was making me wait a week. Had some problems with getting approvals from the extended warranty company, but they called daily on my behalf to get the ball rolling. They sent me a diagnostic update with pictures and kept me updated via text messages which was awesome.

I take both my Honda and Subaru here. While being a tad more pricey, they are efficient and knowledgeable about what they do. I get a diagnostic check over on each new car I buy. That diagnostic saved my wife from a broken steering knuckle this time...You arent just a paycheck when you come here, these guys deserve every penny they charge.

When you find a good and honest mechanic, you hang on to them! Over the years, Endurance Auto always does fantastic work for me, and I’m always impressed with how well they communicate, explaining all the options, and they never pressure you to make a repair that you don’t want or need. They’re also great about letting you know about potential future issues so you can plan ahead. Everyone there is great, but ask for Joe. He’s like a magician with cars. He fixed my 20-year-old Camry no problem even when three different mechanics said it was unfixable.

My three boys all either are in school or went to school in Lynchburg. At least four cars needed service over that 6 year period. Sometimes it was routine, other times the car was stranded on the side of the road. I have been working with Endurance Auto for the past few years now and must say that I am ALWAYS satisfied. Steve always explains and gives more than enough information on the problem with the vehicle and then explains what he will have to do prior to fixing it. Steve and his team have probably saved me AT LEAST a $1,000 in repairs over the years and probably more with my current car there now. Steve is always fair, always honest, always friendly, and ALWAYS helpful. We are about to move to Richmond and would seriously consider driving the 2 hours just to have him work on my cars.

Endurance Auto may be the most honest and competitive mechanic I have ever worked with. I have had ongoing trouble with my car over the years and usually had a family friend to work on it, but I really think that the work and price was better at Endurance then if a friend had done it. My car completely died while being driven and the first mechanic was going to charge me over $1100.00 to fix it... Endurance did it for less than half of that price.
