Purchasing a vehicle can be a real swing of emotions from start to finish. Personally I like it, however, you never know what kind of sales person awaits you and what experience they have. Being retired with some relaxing time on my hands, and after deciding on the type vehicle I wanted, (Ford Ranger Lariat) I contacted “all” Ford dealers from San Antonio to Amarillo, Texas. This initial contact was by internet. Based on the attention I was given and received from my request, I narrowed my search to 5 Ford dealers. I ended up purchasing a Ranger from Pollard Friendly Ford in Lubbock. I made this purchase not because of convenience, remember I would drive 400+ miles for the right dealer, but I made the purchase because of the professional demeanor of All my contacts at Pollard Friendly Ford. The sales team of Chris Littrell and Ben ‘Morales, along with the Finance Manager Matt McDonald and his partner Lee, all treated me with courtesy and respect. Alec also was pleasant handling all the closing paperwork. If you are considering purchasing a vehicle, and Ford is a brand you are considering, then I would wholeheartedly recommend you talking to Pollard Ford. I’ve never had a “car guy” before. I usually shop around and stress out about finding the best deal and end up a frustrated mess. This Spring, I called Baylen Brown since I knew him from church and other dealerships were giving me the run around and changing details of terms at the last minute. Since last Spring, I’ve now bought 4 cars with Baylen and have found my “car guy.”First, he’s a straight shooter. There’s no “let me talk to my finance guy.” When Baylen said something, he had authority to say it and I only talked to someone else when I signed final paperwork.Second, he went above and beyond making my vehicles look amazing. I told him I wanted my truck to look cool for once. He told me to let him handle it, so the next day I pull up and the truck I had bought had the awesome tires, bed liner, cover, primo tint and an aggressive level kit without me having to lift a finger. Wow. I have people stop me weekly to ask exactly what I did to my truck. I just said, “call Baylen.” Seriously, a dude followed me home for several blocks. He jumped out and just started asking exactly what I did to make it look awesome.Third, he was patient on a couple of cars that I didn’t end up liking. Never pushy.Finally, the dude is detail oriented and on the ball. Everything was taken care of so quickly.I’ve found my “car guy.”
Jody,Randy& Aaron at used car sales is very helpful respectful & get you what you need & ask for they found me exactly what I asked them for & gave me more than fair price on my trades. I bought a few vehicles from Jody in the last year he never did me wrong all the customers I sent to him received the same good service. Carlos at financing is the best he gets you in & out doesnt try to push you to buy extra warranty plans when its not necessary. As long as this guys is there to help me I will definitely use them for my next new or used vehicle
My wife and I just recently welcomed our 5th child into this world. I was needing a safer and bigger vehicle to be able to transport him and his older siblings around. I looked everywhere and no one seemed to have what I was looking for or any interest in trying to help me since I had a Jeep I was trading in that I still owed on. My wife reminded me about Pollard Friendly Ford and I thought lets check it out. Let me tell you I started online and they wasted no time getting back to me. They then had me connected to one of their salespersons Aaron Allison. He is a great guy and when I told him what I was looking for he found me SEVERAL options in matter of minutes. Overall Aaron did an Awesome job and I can guarantee that when my daughters and new son get drivers licenses I know where my first stop will be. Thank you Pollard Ford your people are AWESOME! I bought a used 2016 f150 from these guys and all seemed well. At first the battery was bad. My salesman had it replaced with no problems. Then I get in to drive it one day and the brakes dont work. Ive only had it 3 months. I get it to the dealership and they find 3 recalls on it and there is a check engine light. They fight us on the warranty and finally say that its covered. But the best part, while one of their technicians was moving my truck, he didnt read what was wrong with it and notice that the braking system was bad and wrecked my truck! Now here I am a month later waiting on their insurance to fix my truck with no word on when Im getting it back! I would never recommend this place to anyone or ever do business with these people again.
We were extremely pleased with the promptness of their finding a car for us the first time we stopped to look but after the purchase a few issues still have us pondering on Pollards customer care.* phone calls were never returned unless we took the initiative*the list of things they promised would be fixed was never completed but we guess 3 out of 5 is okay with this company*used cars are usually detailed or at least washed but not at Pollard even if they say they will take care of it*other dealerships we have done business with have always contacted us to make sure we were satisfied with our purchase*the staff was friendly but we felt that we were not important enough after we bought the car*our mistake for not sticking with Gene MesserPOSTING THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME BECAUSE WE NOTICED THAT THIS DEALERSHIP ONLY RESPONDS TO THE FIVE STAR CUSTOMERS.
We bought a brand new explorer with this dealership and have had problems with it since pretty much day 1( not the dealerships fault) but what is their fault is that they have awful customer service, just getting someone to call you back is impossible as well as when you finally get ahold of someone they are beyond rude coupled with the fact that we have had nothing but problems with pollard even getting a technician to look at our car. First off I understand that dealerships are busy places more so service wise but a two week wait for a tech to even look and diagnose the problem is unacceptable andAnother huge problem is Ford will not let you use a rental car until they have a diagnosed warranty problem so basically for the two plus weeks you are without your vehicle you are forced to pay for a rental yourself or go without for however long they decide to take which for my family won’t work.So I can’t and won’t recommend any one I know use or buy anything from this dealership ever again.

Bought a used car from them. They Did the pre purchase inspection after I bought the car. Very shady. Now I’m stuck with all the repairs it needs on the car I just bought. Safe to say I will not be buying a new car from them when I graduate in the spring. Makes it even more shady that they’d do that to a college student. They WILL NOT return any calls. The person you need to talk to is always coincidentally not in. Go to Gene Messer Ford.
If I could give negative stars on a review, this would be the company I do it on. I have purchased a car from the place previously and decided to go back because of the service I received. Man, it was the biggest mistake I have done in a long time. The sales persons, this was a father and son duo, was pushy and they rushed the used car inspection. The big thing I noticed was when we were buying the father didnt even look at me and rushed to try and get me to shake his hand for the deal. Even after these flags and more, I regrettably bought the car. I have had it for less than 4 months and the A/C has gone out twice and the radiator is now broken. I will never do business with this company again.Now I am 2 grand in repairs for a car I just bought and the managers and dodging my calls.
Took my car in for repairs after a rear-ending accident & it was a smooth process. I was updated many times and the repair did not take as long as I originally thought. Would recommend!
Over 200 cars waiting to fix a recall for a side door latch! I spoke to that David guy again and he tells me that I was out of luck! Now Id have to wait. He was a jerk when I called about my battery a few months back too. He didnt take any information or anything just said Id have to bring it in and leave it and wait. I dont have a second vehicle so that doesnt work for me.They dont do a loaner car.They dont do appointments.They can never give you an estimate of time to repair. Its always bring it in so we can look at it. This is a CAR dealership you have most likely seen this before.I really preferred them over Gene Messer several years ago but they just arent the same.

Purchase of a used 2018 F150 in July 2020 was smooth enough. Aaron was helpful and got us a great deal. Thats where the good stops. My guess is the service department is for new car and new truck purchasers because they are impossible to reach for scheduled service. Even the online tool is terrible. I may have to drive to Amarillo for anything beyond basic service.
I had a great experience with Pollard Friendly Ford in Lubbock. They were great to work with me on the purchase of my new Bronco Sport. Ricky Escamilla was easy to work with and helped me find the right Bronco for me. I appreciated that he would text me with updates as my car search went on.
The people were great but at the same time it feels like they rushed us out.. they told me they would have my car detailed and the oil change done. 1st all they did was move stuff around and stick trash in the middle console to make it look clean and 2nd I have had it a little over 2 weeks and the oil change light is on.. Now my experience was not to bad but they had 2 DAYS to get the oil change done and car detailed! Also my other car that I traded in has not been funded yet so I am trying to get details but every time I call they send me to voicemail! I will try again today and if not then I’m going above them..
I can only say my salesman Martinisa very caringTrainee Salesman that needs respect from older bragging salesman and they need to give Martin a chance to become a terrific salesman and stop trying to take away his Customers. Older Salesman tried to interfere his Sales ability. Ill be back and will insure Martin is my Salesman.
Never again! I purchased a 2017 F250 a few years ago from Pollard and I’ll NEVER use Pollard’s service department or purchase another vehicle from them….I’d rather listen to an endless loop of Baby Shark than go back! Buyers be aware, once all your paperwork is done Pollard’s customer service is bad as David Bowie’s acting in the Labyrinth.In January, I needed warranty work done my vehicle. I called ahead to try and schedule an appointment, but was told “no appointment was necessary”…“Bring your vehicle in tomorrow and we’ll get you in and out”. Easy enough, right? But no…that’s wasn’t true, not true at all. My truck was there for weeks and my issues with Pollard still aren’t fully resolved!The service department promises to call you back, yet never do. Chances are better finding the portal to Narnia or getting your 12 year old to tell what they learned about today in school than getting a straight answer out of these guys. After having my vehicle almost a month they finally completed the work on my vehicle. I then find out they didn’t file the warranty paperwork correctly. I was told I could either wait a few days for my truck or pay for the repairs they didn’t file correctly and let Pollard refund me when everything was corrected. I need my truck, so I paid. That was 2 months ago and I still haven’t received the promised refund. Called many times and it’s the same non-answers I received when they had my truck.If your vehicle comes back to you the way mine did, it will smell like a diesel mechanics shop, you’ll have to get grease or oil out of your vehicles carpet and leather seats, and Pollard will owe you money they may or may not pay...but hey, you’ll most likely get your vehicle back.
Not happy with Pollard (Lubbock). We bought a Brand New Ford Fusion in Ft. Worth at Auto Nation. Had it for a little over 2 months, then all of the sudden I could not even drive it. We got a notification on the Ford App, we call and they said we do not need to drive it and it needed to be towed. So we call around and Pollard was the place that told us that it would be looked at sooner....3 days they said. Well, they have had it now for 3 weeks and they havent even looked at it. We keep calling and they say that they have other cars in front of us. It has been 3 weeks in 2 days and nothing, still not even looked at! Do not trust what they say!!! The lot is empty, so I cant imagine what the hold up is. If you want to do business with Pollard, think twice. They will not take care of you after a deal.
This is not the place to go they will give you the run around all day long they will thank your money and send you to voice mail
Everything went great until they agreed to fix a few things on the vehicle. Once the papers were signed they will not return your call or will not honor their word on fixing the few things the two of you agreed on. I would suggest going eles where since how they can’t stand by their word!!

Brought my vehicle in Tuesday, March 30, 2021 for recalls and a couple of concerns. Was told 2 - 3 day wait until they could get to it. By April 6 my vehicle still had no time set that it would be looked at, was told at that time that it would take a few days once they actually got it to a technician (first time I was told that) Was told there were over 200 cars waiting to be looked at?????? I didnt see 200 cars on the lot!!Called Gene Messer Ford. They scheduled me for April 12. Said the vehicle would be looked at at that time. They took my VIN number down and told me of 3 recalls (Pollard were only aware of 2) and were upfront that it would take 2 - 3 days to FINISH repairs, not over a week before someone could even look at it.Very disappointed. Not my first unsatisfactory encounter with Pollard Service Dept.
I was in the market for a new F-150. I was first helped by Brandi Varner on the Internet. She was very helpful and then handed me off to Ricky Escamilla in Sales. Ricky was also very helpful. I live in Midland but had to go to Lubbock to get the professional help that I wanted. Thank you Pollard Friendly Ford!

Buy a car, pay taxes and registration, and you still have to go downtown to finish the registration to get your tags.These people are useless. Now its up to me to get my In-laws car legal.

I am not sure where to start. Most of our experience has been with service. We bought a bee car a year ago and due to circumstances move away from where we bought it. The car has been in the shop 4 times for transmission issues and we have been treated like lesser people for having bought the car elsewhere, something we could not control. All I can say is when the time comes, I won’t be buying new or used from them.4 visits and the vehicle stays in the shop for over a week each time. 1 month of 12 in ownership has been in their shop. More than once, the car sits waiting days for parts. More than once the end fix with the longest wait was a 30 min software update/install.On multiple occasions we have been told “I will check and call you right back” to have only had that occur one time the next day.This last repair I called and there were several things added to the repair not requested... or they were no made clear when the vehicle was dropped off.The last visit was the one to do it for me. It was clear I was not welcome or appreciated. We brought it in for repair but also asked for oil change service. They have the vehicle a week and a half for the repair. I go to pick the vehicle up after saying it was ready and arrive to wait 15 min (with no one in front or behind me) because paperwork was not ready. Going over the bill and find $55 for balance and rotate. Any tire shop does this for free. A $65k new car does not get a free balance and rotate even after holding the car for a week and a half. I understand to some extent, but the reaction was what rubbed me the most. The cashier asks the service manager to come over, then the service clerk comes over. She said “we want you to be happy”. I simply said “it seems excessive to charge $55 for balance and rotate when that is free at any tire shop, and you had my car for a week and a half”. I did not raise a big stink or my voice. All in unison, the service manager turns around and sits down and the service clerk walks off. No further effort was made to reconcile.Based on the experience in service I will not do ANY future business with them.
Non-warranty service review: took my car for repair under extended warranty. This review is only for the service. I had to have the problems evaluated before I could claim on my extended warranty. All the person that were friendly enough but did not listen or explain well. I was charged 2 hours to remove my bumper to tell me two problems already new. I was charged an hour when I said dont look at it for my blower motor on my air conditioner. That service took less than 3 minutes. I explained in detail my headlight problem and was not properly serviced because of the what I did to overcome the problem. The technician said the problem was because I bypassed the headlight system but I had to because the headlight system was completely broken. They had my car for more than a week and accomplished nothing. I left my car with them a week before for transmission issues and they never found a problem even though the computer logs the issues. I highly recommend getting your warranty service here but after warranty go somewhere else. I paid over $350 for nothing. I will never return even to buy a new car.
Do not get your oil change HERE!! They will charge you labor!! $12.00 to install a $19.00 filter on top of $80 oil change plus a 1hr 1/2 wait. NEVER AGAIN.

Sat and watched four old men in the service area stare at nothing for a good 30 mins before driving off for good. Same thing happened last time. Used to come here regularly for repairs and oil changes and would be greeted within a few minutes of pulling up. Will be taking my business to gene messer from now on.

When having your vehicle worked on you prefer horrible service, zero communication, and endless unreturned phone calls this is your place. Their estimate completion times are not even close and when you finally get your vehicle back you will have exhausted every drop of patience you have.

I could not be more disappointed with this service department. I dropped my 2019 F350 off because of a vibration at highway speeds. After having the truck for over a week the service writer called me and said that the tech could not find anything wrong. I pushed back a little and he stated he would have the service manager look at it. I told to please have him drive the pickup at least 75 mph and he agreed. I few days later I got a call that the service manager inspected and test drove the vehicle and nothing was wrong with it. I tried to question the service writer but he just got short with me and really did not want to help. So yesterday I picked up the truck and as soon as I got up to highway speed the truck starts shaking so bad my 11 year old daughter asks about it!! This is not an intermittent issue, it does it any time you drive the truck. I guess if you need wiper blades changed this service department might be able to help you but I wouldnt go here with anything that needs to be seriously diagnosed.

Had been looking for a used truck for about a year but just couldnt bring myself to pay the premium prices they bring. After test driving a couple used f150s I wasnt going to buy. Sales manager asked my budget and suggested I drive a nearly new F150. I did thinking it was way outside my budget. After test drive the vehicle was offered at my budget price. Bought it on the spot. Spectacular deal! Recommend this dealer highly.
Not a happy customer; traded my truck in two months ago and the dealership took over 60 days to pay off my other vehicle. I spoke to several people including (Kevin and Kirk) and neither were able to help. Kirk stated that he was not the one who made the deal and no longer wants to help. I have contacted the GM (Mr. Frost) ; however, I was sent to his voicemail. So, I guess it is a custom to get people into new vehicles, but dont care if they muddle up someones credit. I will be contacting the federal credit bureau or whoever necessary to get this chaos corrected.

Don’t expect any help out of their service department. I took a 2018 Ford F-150 in for a known issue that has been reoccurring while driving. Ford has issued a Technical Service Bulletin addressing the problem, but Pollards service department will not correct the issue. The service bulletin states it’s a 30 minute job or operation to address the issue.Their service department is terrible when it comes to communication, they’re slow, and your issue will most likely not be resolved. Take your Ford else where.
Never thought I would be in this position, but here I am.Ive been a die hard GM fan my entire life and always made fun of Ford guys, because thats what you do as a GM fan.I have a good friend who I worked with to buy all my GM trucks for the better part of the last decade, and he has moved on to newer opportunities. So when i got in the market recently, i was rather nervous to say the least. Working with a friend isnt something you can just pick up on with someone new. Well, a great friend of mine recommended I talk to Baylen, here at Pollard. I was hesitant at first but figured, you know what, why not? Im not that impressed with the new GM trucks anyways. So i went and looked at Ford and Ram since i never had. Well long story short, i sat in the Ford and was blown away by the comfort. Then Baylen and i set up a test drive and from that moment on, even though i tried to talk myself out of it and go with a Chevy again, i just couldnt!I realized i had been living in ignorance of what was out there for a long time! These Ford trucks are AMAZING! So I jumped on the bandwagon and wont look back.I ended up having one of the greatest car buying experiences and truly made a new friend!I LOVE my new F250 and cant recommend Baylen enough! He really is an honest, world class guy and was a HUGE help in my search for a new truck!Really looking forward to continuing to work with him in the future, as is my family!

I rank customer service among one of the TOP things about a company. Well let me tell you I am very displeased with Pollard Fords customer service both in sales and finance. They were really great and friendly and helpful until the deal was done. Now I cant get answers to questions to which I have emailed and phoned in. I made my purchase on July 29th and finalized all the paperwork on the 31st. Its now October 15th and I still dont have paperwork to get my tags. Ive called to see what I can do to get an extended paper tag, Oh I dont really know the answer to that but its late in the day and everyone I could ask is gone. Please send me an e-mail so I will remember to check on that first thing in the morning. 9 days, 2 e-mails and a voicemail later and I still dont have a reply from ANYONE. So if I end up getting a ticket for driving on expired plates, I will be taking it to POLLARD FORD to be paid. Get your stuff together people! Your customers are the ones keeping your business afloat!
So I dropped my car off at 10:16am/10:18am (time stamped below) so they could replace a broken head lamp damaged by debris kicked up by a semi on The Marsha Sharp and later shorted out by the ensuing rainstorms. I was called at 10:55am the same day and told my car was ready. Ill do the math for you its right at about 40min. Upon arival and being presented with the bill I asked why I was being charged for the full ESTIMATED 2.1 hours and said Id be happy to pay for a full hour as I under stand rounding up. A gentleman named Brent started throwing a load of industry terms and jargon at me but as I am lay in this instance I asked him to explain it a bit more normally. He essentially said, and I am paraphrasing, if you tried to do it it would probably take you more than 4 hours so we can charge that much. I had no idea that professional labor prices were an average of how long they actually take and how long they assumed I would take. I asked if hed go on the record saying its standard to more than double labor times but he was not happy about that either. He said I could leave (without my vehicle) and come back when I was ready to pay what they wanted. I paid and left because what is one to do in this modern world without reliable transportation. If the ESTIMATE is over shouldnt they adjust based on the actual labor? Or is that ignorance on my part? It just seems in these new and uncertain times with millions of people working at a reduced capacity or not at all large businesses wouldnt be trying to milk every last penny out of ordinary citizens.
We dropped off our ford f150 for repairs and during the time we dropped it off until we picked it up the hail storms hit. I told the service person that they were responsible for the repair and was told no they were not. I was very adamant and was asked to leave. I posted here and surprise they wanted to talk. Yes they were responsible for the repairs. I was told that they would help me but I need to take down this post. And the repair was $675 and the truck is not fixed. Dont do business with them. Smoke and mirrors is all you get.

I went here several times for repairs on the vehicle. For tire services they are very fast and convenient, they provided great service and in a good time. On the contrary for any major repairs it was a bit timely, they typically take several days to diagnose and to repair vehicles. There is also always a huge backlog of vehicles needing repairs. Overall tho my experience here was good.

Very disappointed on my last visit for truck F-150 2015 brought it in for motor problems had to leave it for 3 days. When I picked it up there was a crack on my windshield right away still in the premises talked to the main guy that helped me from the very beginning and he said he would have to talk to the mechanic that he would get back with me not to sweat over it. Well it’s been 3 weeks now and still not heard from him nor does he return any of my calls. Also my tires didn’t get rotated like they said they would. Very frustrating!!
The dont seem to care about the customers for the long term, they just want your money and tend to act like they are the ones doing you the favor.
Traded in a truck over two months ago.Still not paid off. 2 months later while Ill received new pay paybook. And Ive made 2 payments.On new vehicle.
I liked that I didn’t have to go to the actual dealership and use up a whole day. The only thing is. On delivery the car was not washed. The sales man failed to mention that the vehicle needed new tires, that there was a small (but noticeable) dent on the front fender. Then the drivers door was keyed. The inside was not cleaned. They just need to pay better attention to what their selling. Especially if they expect to get good reviews. First and last time I buy a car without going to see the actual car.

These people are all nice and all to get you to buy a car, but once you buy they ignore you, wont return calls, I also needed the lock code for door, they told me have to bring it in and cost would be 60.00.....guess what! I get on you-tube. Tells where to look under dash!! Found it...free!! Heaven forbid they tell you where to look for free...have to make money out of you....Im looking on you tube from now on....free....
