Very friendly guys and do excellent work. Got it done quick! Prices are good as well.
I had a tire that was losing air. I discovered it in the late morning on a holiday. The staff were very kind and professional. They repaired and balanced my tire. I was so grateful to have the work completed on my day off!
The guys there are great they have honestly done my car right on time Im very professional I love them Ill always go back to them anytime my car needs to be looked at trustworthy honest good people thanks guys
I went to fix my ac & Tim took the best care of me! My little pink Chevy sonic is back on the road! He did it in a timely fashion & was super informative with everything he was doing. I’m going back this upcoming Wednesday to fix a leak & I’ll be looking for him personally! Thank y’all so much 💙
David was very helpful when it came to letting me know what was wrong with my car. They had me in and out in no time and I very pleased with the quality of service I received
Midas had to do the job that another less reputable local company was paid to do, but chose not do.Very professional job, resolved all the problems, very appreciate of their refreshing integrity.
I wish I could give this place zero stars. My AC stopped working and I dropped my car off to be looked at. These claimed estimated I needed $3,100 in repairs to fix the air. I ended up paying for coolant and went somewhere else. I paid $500 at a small shop for a new blower and labor. The mechanic also found that way too much coolant was added at Midas and took it back out. Stay away from this place.
Had delay in parts due to incorrect parts sent on 1st order. Car was ready but 2 days late. Good discount as result of delay.
Tim and the team at Midas South Loop Lubbock were fantastic and I will be going back to have my SUV worked on whenever required there.
Everyone there is very friendly & kind & knows me by name when I come in even if I havent been in in a while. Every service is done relatively quickly & if not they let me know whats going on. Great place!
Excellent customer service. Very professional. David was fantastic. I was in and out in no time. I will use them for all my repair needs.
UPDATE: 03/13/2021: I called up this morning to discuss that the car was still pulling left while driving and Tim went on to inform me that they suspected the alignment wouldn’t hold because of the issue with machines and codes on the Jeep with air suspension. But they still let my wife pay for an alignment and leave without informing her of any of this. While on the call he was only concerned about the honest review I left for them and he then went on to tell me that they open at 7:30am but only for drop offs. His team does not work off a schedule and can trickle in whenever they’d like and once they do show up they do not start working on vehicles, but first have to clean up from the day before. Tim is apparently the only person who works 60+ hours in a week and it is my wife’s fault for coming up there and waiting when that is what they told us to do the day prior. He did say I could drop it off when I’m ready (but not today) and he’d get to it whenever he could but would not give any time frame. Even after 3.5 hours of waiting I would have rather them say they couldn’t do the alignment then lie to my wife and charge her for a service not completed correctly and that they had knowledge of.03/12/2021: Unfortunately, I had to send my wife alone up to the shop to have her SUV aligned. I called the day before and they said get here when they opened (7:30am) and they could do it within 1-1.5 hours. She was the second person there, arriving at 7:45 and NO mechanics were even in yet, so the wait began. Finally they started to look at her car and realized she needed an after market nut on each side to correctly be able to do the alignment. She called me and I discussed this with the manager on duty, he said he could have the parts there in 10-15 minutes. While still on the phone we gave him the go ahead to get the parts (this was at 8:47am). Naturally the parts were not at the place they thought and so it was going to be 30 minutes for them to show up. Two more hours pass and now their machine to reset the lane assist isnt working so they have to take the car to Collision King next door to use theirs. Another 25 minutes go by and one of the mechanics comes in and ask her if shes ready to leave, after 3.5 hours Id think so.
We couldn’t get the tire lug nuts off my car and luckily Tim took amazing care of us! He made sure we knew what we were getting into cost wise! I will definitely be returning for future repairs and oil changes!
I think I probably got charged a little more than I needed to had I gone somewhere else. However, I dont think it was exorbitant. I may have paid 10% over what other places would have charged, but at the same time, I didnt have to drive all over town getting prices, calling all around, etc. And, the warranty that comes with the work is excellent, so I have that to look forward to if I need it. Plus, to do all the work that needed to be done, took a little over two hours, where if I went to another place, I may have had to leave it for a full day. Their staff is very competent and professional also. The waiting room could use some new chairs, and the had tv on plus music, so it was not a great waiting room experience.
They were very Helpful to me. Thank Yall for helping me. I will share with my family so they can get their oil checked there.
Was in the beginning of a Houston>Salt Lake City road trip pulling a trailer and my fuel pump went out early on a Wednesday. General Manager Tim went above and beyond coordinating his team to help diagnose my truck’s problem while I wasn’t able to unhitch from the trailer right away. This location was very busy, but they got me in as soon as they could and completed the repair by the end of the day knowing we needed to get back on the road with a long trip ahead. I appreciated how quickly and professionally everything was done and we made it to Salt Lake City a few days later and my truck is running very well with the new fuel pump. I highly recommend this location for any repairs needed.
Everyone knows is very friendly and very informative as Chihuahuas going on with my automobile they did the task in a very timely manner complete AC replacement I really enjoyed having them do this for me
They try to help you find out whats wrong with the vehicle at the best prices and least amount of money thank u guys for the help.
Very timely, great customer service. They accommodated for COVID 19 by putting chairs outside to allow for proper social distancing! Will absolutely use again.
Besides doing their jobs, I dont think its a place for a woman to go alone. Im dealing with Our Son, while the guys in the garage act like theyve never seen a woman before.
The customer service was excellent. They let me know about everything that was needed on my vehicle. The price that was estimated went up substantially but they communicated every reason why the price had increased and was very reasonable with the pricing.
Love this place! The staff is super friendly and helpful!
Midas is always so quick to help me in need! Midas offers within the same hour towing for reasonable prices and always is respectful! I appreciate all that they do for me. I use Midas for EVERYTHING because the customer service is excellent!
Brought my car in June, have done numerous business transactions in the past with Midas which is why I came back, HOWEVER since the first time I came into Midas, the quality and professionalism from some of the workers and including management have DROPPED drastically. From employees complaining they are doing work that isnt in their job description to complaining about upper management I should of taken the warning signs more seriously when I came in June. That being said I came in with intermittent issue with my vehicle, I explained the issue(s) so many times to the staff that I felt like a broken record, no one bothered to write down what I had to say as far as the symptoms of my car, nor did anyone try to diagnose my vehicle and check for any codes etc. For whatever reason they decided to replace the fuel pump only because the fuel pressure was low, once I drove off and stopped for gas the same issue(s) continued to occur which meant they replaced the fuel pump for whatever reason and didnt fix the underlying issue. After having my car in their parking lot/shop going on for about two weeks or so, I decided to take it to another mechanic where they were able to get codes and determine the battery cells were failing which was also causing the low pressure issue for the fuel pump (old and new one). The new mechanic asked what did Midas find wrong with my car and after reviewing my statement from my previous visit(s) and paying for the new fuel pump, there were no codes or notes referring to any other issues or any issues to the fuel pump at all. I called and spoke to the manager where he stated he wasnt going to argue with me over the phone but ended up doing so bc he HATES when customers take their cars to other mechanics, an for the mechanic to be blaming his store, which was not the case since my call was only referring to why was the fuel pump replaced since midas was not reading/getting any codes according to management or per their records on file. Management (TIM) was not willing to help and even made the petty comment of well you can reach out to corporate if you want which after doing so I learned that I would be contacted from management of that location (he made the petty comment bc the complaint would come back to him regardless and he was already ready to dismiss me). Regardless I came back to midas because previously they have had good customer service and work, however maybe due to the pandemic or whatever that is no longer the case. PLEASE. BE. CAUTIOUS. get a second opinion instead of having to drop $900+ dollars on repairs that was not needed nor properly diagnosed.
Car inspection, service was great! Fast and friendly!
Prices were Great using one of their coupons and they got me in and out pretty quick. They didn’t just tell me I needed new rear brake pads, Zach took me to my truck and Showed me. I would definitely use this Midas again.
Everybody was so nice and sweet very friendly quick and I thank him for it
Took my vehicle in on Christmas Eve due to my 2015 Tahoe not starting. Midas checked and told me that outside of the battery being drained, there was no issue with the starter or alternator. They re-charged my battery not looking for the reason a brand new battery that I had purchased 2 days prior was drained. They went on to inform me that I needed a tune-up, which at 162K miles, I agreed. During the tune-up they noticed a check engine light (not a prior issue) that they said was a misfire to Cylinder 5 and that I would need to replace the coil. After agreeing to address that issue, I was told at the end of the day that it was not the coil, but either the rocker arm or bearing - or worse - was rattling in my engine and that they recommended me not driving it until they could dig in to identify. I asked how much my bill was and they said that since the coil was not the issue, they would put my old one back and no charge would be added. They said my bill was somewhere around $260-$300. Being it Christmas Eve with little alternative I agreed to leaving my vehicle, but told the mechanics that I needed my vehicle back ASAP as I am traveling and need to get my daughter home for custody purposes. Midas was not scheduled to reopen until the following Monday at 7:30am. At around 11am I called to ask the status, which I was told that after 3.5 - 4 hours, they had not yet even begun to inspect the issue. At that point, our family mechanic (Gary’s) was open so I told them to not address the issue and that I would settle up. The bill ended up being $497, which is substantially more than what I was quoted. I didn’t argue it, I just wanted my vehicle back. When we picked the vehicle up, there was no check engine light. We took the vehicle over to Gary’s where after a few hours, they were able to trace the electrical issue to the entertainment system and pulled the fuse. Problem was solved. Additionally, they visually and audibly inspected my engine and found no issues. They also drove it over 100 miles to try to initiate the check engine light. Still no light. I picked up my vehicle for a $260 charge for the electrical work, which Midas had no interest in even looking into which was my initial complaint. The technicians took me down a rabbit hole with my engine, misdiagnosing the problem completely and over charging me for my work. I will never go to Midas again and I will warn everyone that I know and care about as well.
My car had a difficult issue that was diagnosed correctly. I was kept informed of progress and new information as it arose; they found an issue I didnt know I had and fixed it with very minimal extra cost. I found the staff to be very honest, with excellent communication and professionalism. Trust these folks to be reliable. Highly recommend! Thank you for getting me back on the road.
Mr. David Hix and his team at the Loop 289 in Lubbock, Tx are great and extremely Professional!!
I brought my vehicle in to have an O2 sensor replaced (indicated by a check engine light), 2 doors and a window repaired, and for an oil change. The work completed was done well and communication was frequent. However, the O2 sensor did not get replaced; they only did a check engine light diagnosis. This is the second time that a requested service was not performed, although its worth noting that I wasnt charged for the services requested but not performed.
It would have been nice to have been offered some water. The water machine was empty. I went in for my breaks check and they told me my breaks where good and didn’t need fixing. I had them look at my check engine light and they fixed the issue that day. It took a couple of hours but what do u expect?I rather have quality work. I asked questions and got a detailed statement before they did any work and talked to me without talking down to me. It’s nice as a woman to be able to ask questions and not feel uncomfortable about it.
The guys were great the customer service was awesome there was no hassle they did exactly what they said they would do and didnt try to oversell me anything else
First time that I have ever used Midas. I was pleased with the free inspection offered, and how I was walked through my options for the replacement of brake parts needed. I will use them again next time I need work done.
Friendly service. They need to inform their customers that if they make an appointment, theres a 2 hour window when they will get your car in. Otherwise, all was good. I would recommend them to friends
Great service! Very friendly and got the work done before expected. Highly recommend!
The guys are prompt fast and professional... make me for comfortable
They were really nice and very helpful. They explained what was wrong with my car and were very thorough. The price was very inexpensive. I had an awsomazing experience overall.
Went into Midas, their friendly and professional. They were able to fix my brakes within the days time. No complaints from me.I will be returning!
Paid 700$ to have someone roll the window down and adjust the seat back. They identified the issue was the cylinders in the initial brake system evaluation, but only replaced everything BESIDES the cylinders for 700$. Wanted another 400$ to *actually fix it. The breaks were still sinking and almost got into an accident on the way home for it. Trust the bad reviews. Save. Your. Money.
Great experience. Great value. Didnt take long.
When I dropped off my car I was treated with professional service. The office and mechanic were very knowledgeable about the problem with my car, and they were efficient to get my car ready in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend Midas to my friends and family.
This is the 2nd time Ive gone to Midas (& this particular shop) for an oil change. All of the employees are incredibly friendly, they explain any work I may need done in the future (going over both the cost & necessity), & the price is more than fair! I dont think Ill trust anyone else to touch my car...
We got great service. They didnt try to sell us anything that we didnt need. They were honest and told us that our brakes did not need to be redone yet. They will get my business in the future.
The price they quoted me a few months back was correct they where professional and on time
Didnt fix my car but didnt charge me either.
Great service from David! Proactively added $100 coupon that I was unaware of!
Found my oil filter had not been properly tightened at another oil change [take 5]. I got my oil changed and air filter replaced. Very professional, they took the time to show me where my oil was leaking from. You guys saved my engine. THANK YOU!!
Isaiah is an excellent welder! His work looks just as good as factory cnc lazer welds.
Dont trust you car or wallet to this location. When I took my car to them due to squeaky breaks I was told that the brakes were old and needing replacement... They offered to do the job and quoted me an amount I dont remember (I wanna say like $5-600ish).The problem was that I only had about 2,000 miles on my breaks at that time. After further research I found out that I had glazed brakes, fixed it for about $5 worth of sand paper and have gone over 3 months without a single squeak. The only reason why theyre getting two stars is because the tech I spoke with was polite while he tried to swindle me out of hundreds of dollars.
Very professional carrying about there work and went above what they needed done. They went and found a new lug nut on my deceased wife s jeep. Thank yall for the quality of work.
Very Professional place. Midas team is honest and polite. I went in for service and they didn’t try to sell me anything extra I didn’t need i would recommend Midas for your next service.
Well this is my first time ever going to this place and i usly do my own oil change but felt lazy so i went here to midas to get my oil done and it came with a tire rotation so I added that and when they got done they forgot to do the tire rotation. I would have given a 5 star but yall forgot to do the tire rotation but other then that its a great place and everyone there is nice and polite
Awful service, rude employees. They not only lie, but are condescending.Too many other choices out there to go back here.
Great customer care
Quick Summary... Your Manager Tim Valencia at your location in Lubbock, TX was rude and unhelpful. Even threatened to call the police on me because I needed a tire replaced instead of patched.Heres the full story:On March 30, 2017 I bought 4 brand new tires at National Tire & Battery in McKinney, TX. Not having an NTB in Lubbock, TX, I was told if there were any problems with any of the tires, Midas would assist me as a part of their partner-based road hazard warranty.Driving back from Odessa, TX on Monday, Sept. 4th, I picked up a nail/screw on my left rear tire as I was driving thru Seminole, TX, leaving my the tire completely flat. With a little help from a couple of nice guys, we took the flat tire off & put the spare on, and I was able to make it back home safely. The next morning I called NTB in McKinney, and they told me that Midas in Lubbock would take care of everything, worry-free.That same morning I call the Midas shop, and Tim Valencia told me to bring my Tahoe over & theyd take care of my tire. After arriving, he had one of his employees remove the tire from the rim to inspect it. The employee stated that he didnt find a nail or screw, but the tire had a very large hole. From there it went downhill with Tim Valencia.Tim and I called the NTB in McKinney to make sure we were all on the same page. The manager in McKinney told Tim that the tires still had full coverage, and to go ahead & replace it, at which point Midas would get reimbursed via the warranty. He did say that I would be out about $40-$50 due to installation, which I said would be fine. At that point, Tim agreed & he went out to see the tire himself. After his assessment, he told the service employee to just plug it and put a patch on, and that a replacement wouldnt be necessary. This didnt sit well with me as having a hole that large could be a dangerous road hazard, even if it is plugged. Tim wanted nothing to do with that. He said theres no point of being out a new tire when a plug & a patch would take care of the problem. Even though a replacement tire was covered in warranty, he told his employee to go ahead and just put a patch on it, which was against my wishes. Knowing that the patch could be dangerous, I took the tire Ricks Tire on 19th to have a second professional opinion. The manager that inspected the tire, without hesitation, said that the tire was beyond repair, and should not be driven on. After hearing Ricks opinion of the tire, I decided to drive 6 hours back to NTB in Mckinney on my full-size spare to have them fix the issue, where Midas completely dropped the ball. After the NTB team inspected the spare, they came back with a look of concern, and promptly said to never deal with Midas again out of respect to my safety. They said that the patch that Midas installed should have never been installed at all, and that it was in fact a road hazard that was due for replacement. He also said that it was a completely faulty patch install, explaining that it was shaved too deep, and something along the lines that the continuity/direction of inner grooves were incorrect. They gladly replaced the tire and had me on my way in 30 minutes.Knowing that other Midas customers are driving Lubbocks roads after leaving the shop under Tim Valencias careless professionalism has concerned me so much that Ive gone ahead and filed a formal complaint with Midas Corporate, who on the other hand are very polite, reasonable and understanding. If the road safety of you and your family is at all important to you, stay away from Midas Lubbock, as they have zero concern about the well-being of their customers.
These guys are great. I have been visiting Midas- Lubbock regularly since 2016 and they are so helpful.
I never used them before. I hear they have great prices
Took a while due to being super busy but did good work and were very pleasant
Perfectly done. All around perfection
Always provide great service for all my brake needs
The guys that work here are friendly, helpful and explain the process and cost of repairs. Very quick to answer questions in a way that is understandable to the average person. Highly recommended...
Been using this Midas for years. Always friendly, trustworthy, and very accommodating. Offer 12 month no interest CC for major repairs through Synchrony.
I love the customer service here the guys are great and attentive!!!
I have a tahoo, a charger, a forte and my husband has a Silverado and a Tacoma and we take all these vehicles to Middas. Every time we have a repair the Middas staff make sure if there’s something that is out of the ordinary they tell me and give me a price. So helpful and I know that when Middas fixes it I have no worries.
I’ve let Tim do a ton of service on my vehicles. I drive old cars so a little upkeep is expected. Over the years they’ve changed oil, tires, wheel bearings, ball joints, u joints, knock sensor, carrier bearing, oil pressure sensor, shocks, struts, motor mount, and other things on about 5 different vehicles including diesels. Tim is great to walk me through it, show me the issues, and even tell me when there’s no need to spend the money. I go here all the time and will continue to.
They were friendly and very knowledgeable.
Zach is the best they went above and beyond to help me this is my new oil change shop
I have gone here many times and they always find extra things wrong and I pay through the nose to have them fixed. I bought 2 new tires and fixed the other things they said it needed and spent over $400 yesterday. I drove straight home and went to bed. This afternoon I got up to get ready for work, and one of the BRAND NEW tires is flat. I called and was told immediately that I must have done something, or it wouldnt be flat! REALLY? They wont get me again. SHAME ON YOU.
I am truly amazed at the experience I had here. I am speechless. Kudos on going above and beyond the level of service you offered.
DO NOT GO TO THIS MIDAS. I went in to get my MAP sensor replaced and fix anything else that might be going on. I was charged $621 to replace the sensor and valves which I was okay with even though it was bit high. A week later the check engine light went on again and it was the same MAP sensor. Since I am working in Houston for a few more weeks, I went to a Midas here. The mechanic at this location talked with the manager Tim at the location in Lubbock letting him know that his mechanic did not replace the sensor and charged me for work they didn’t do. This Midas in Lubbock lied to me and charged me for parts they didn’t even install, in the words of the Midas mechanic here in Houston, “they were deceitful and did a less than half-ass job”. I have photo evidence and the actual sensor that has been on the vehicle since it came off the assembly line. I had to pay another $500 to fix what the mechanics here didn’t do. I would like my $621 back.
Friendly staff. Very helpful.
I went in to get an oil change for my car. I appreciated the atmosphere the people were very friendly. They got me in an out fast considering there were 4 other people ahead of me.The front counter associate was very nice an informative. He Went through everything that was checked. He even reminded me that my tags were due. Will definitely be coming back!!
Waited longer than I expected but was not ignored and updated how muchlonger the wait would be and was given a reduced price for the extra waitCan’t complain there’s only so many mechanics and lots of customers wanting service that’s always a good problem to have. CUSTOMER LOYALTY
We just had front end alignment and oil change. These people were wonderful!!! I have more to get done and i will be letting them do it.
5 stars because the staff Is very friendly and the mechanics really do get it done right!
They were very professional, and they were nice enough to let me know I did not need new brakes in the front of my vehicle and I only needed the back ones replaced, I am very happy to say this is a business where they repair the problem and not try to scam you into paying more for repairs that are not needed.
This place is entirely too slow. Went in for a simple brake check and sat there for an hour and 15 minutes and my vehicle never moved. Wanted to really get the work done there but if a brake check didn’t happen in an hour and 15 minutes then I’m pretty sure the actual work would take many many hours.
Great service!
Very disappointed I went to my mechanic and check with my mechanic under truck, and oil filter was loose. Will not be referring or returning.
Ive been a customer for years but now with the pandemic Im disappointed with the staff not being careful. Plus my tires were not rotated like always when I change my oil of my car. I pay alot of money for the oil changes plus other services.
Really good service, medium price compare to other places. Amazing staff
Phenomenal service. These people really know how to not only treat you, but your car as well. The gentleman here take pride in their work.
I had a terrible experience here. First off my brakes weren’t that bad to begin with but I went there just in case. My car was in the shop for days and they ended up charging me more for fixing something that didn’t need to be fixed. And now 5 days later, my car is out of the shop and not running. Be careful with this place!!
-Revised-So a salesman talked me into doing my front brakes here about a year ago and he sold me on the lifetime warranty. He explained that all future brake pad replacements would only run me $50. I figured this sounded fair since they charged such a large premium for the first time around. It was $250+ for one axle when I can do my own brakes for under $50. I figured this one time expense would be worth it in exchange for a reasonable future price and not having to do the labor myself. When I went to have them changed I was quoted at an hours worth of labor which is a ridiculous $124.99. Needless to say I declined the service, and will be taking my business elsewhere.-Later that same day-So after talking to the manager he assisted me on finding a resolution to my problems. Apparently there was miscommunication at multiple points along the way but Tim did everything he could to take care of me. The hourly rate was misquoted and the warranty was explained incorrectly so he helped me out. While I might still not love the price, I cant deny that management wants customers to leave satisfied. The price isnt for me but Tim is an honest man running a good shop
As a business that runs on two vans, when I had an emergency repair on each van, they jumped right on it, actually worked an hour and a half after closing to get me up and running. The work was excellent. Their work ethic and compassion is rare to find these days!!!! Thank you guys!!
Great service and will recommend to everyone!
The whole crew here worked hard to get my vehicles done. Excellent customer service and support. Knowledgeable and all around good guys. Thanks for the care you put into keepin us running.
Quick
Dont go to Midas, they charge outrageous prices for simple products such as a Serpentine belt. $65 for JUST the belt? GET REAL! $195 for a lower control arm with ball joint. They only give you ONE of the control arms when most control arm kits comes in TWO.They charged $421 to replace ONE SINGLE ARM.You can buy two control arms for that price.Originally they wanted $650+ to replace both control arms but I couldnt afford that so they said we can replace one at a time.
Tim and David are always great to work with. There always upfront and honest. I always appreciate the work they do. They took care of my vehicle before my long trip to Arizona, everything ran smooth. First people I think of if theres anything wrong with my vehicles. Thanks guys keep up the good work
$1400 They said i needed all new brakes because every part associated with the brakes needed to be replaced...so i obviously went somewhere else where they said just had to bleed the brakes because air got in the brake system($60). My brakes have been working fine ever since(1year) Personally i like to do business with honest people. I could say tons more but who wants that.
Tire Rotation included!!!! WOW, Ive been missing out all this time. I feel better knowing my entire vehicle is being inspected.
Just don’t go during Christmas season! Managers trying to get their bonuses and rip people off! I well checked my car before taking it for an inspection and all of a sudden my front blinkers were not working and a fuse was missing!!? What a coincidence!! They also trying to tell me they check for admissions..? Lubbock doesn’t check this!!!!! I replaced “the missing fuse” and took it to another place i had no problems!! And i thought midland/odessa was bad!!! Be careful with this guys!!!
Busy place.
Good service
Very fair business--I was turned away by other places, but Midas said, bring in my car and they work on my car until they figured out the problem which they did.
Good mechanics but needs improvement in customer service.
Very helpful and knowledgeable mgmt. Need shocks on old pickup. Very fast and reasonably priced. Will return for more work on other vehicles
Great and quick service theyre very polite.
