We had a great experience choosing tile for our bathroom remodel. Some of the tiles we ordered were in stock, some required a couple of weeks, and through the entire experience the staff was responsive and easy to communicate with. They also were very clear in explaining their return policy, and made it easy to return unused materials, even as we were ordering additional materials as the project continued. I would definitely recommend them, and am especially pleased with the assistance we received from Samantha.

I just received the worst customer service of my life. I went in there showed them a piece of tile. The lady instantly said we dont have it, go look on the internetEdit: I just went somewhere else that was more welcoming and helpful. Do not waste your time and money at businesses that take their customers for granted and make them feel less than human. The Tile Shop has lost my business because there are many other options out there.

When the contractor needed more materials, Chad and Courtney came through to save the day and found material in stock! Samantha was also very helpful when we had to change some of our design on the fly, working with me to find a suitable replacement that had enough in stock. My wife and I walked in the store tonight at 7:15. Walked around for 15 minutes until finally an employee walked up to cash register. We walked by him twice and he never spoke or acknowledged us being in the store. We are ready and able buyers looking to remodel bathroom. After this experience we have ruled out doing business with the Tile Shop

We paid over $1000 on tile for a small kitchen. Each tile had some sort of glue on it in four different places. We called The Tile Shop and they said it was the way they (The Tile Shop) packaged it. They said they would not send someone out to clean the tile. They gave us two free containers of liquid to get the glue off. We hired our own person to get this stuff off each tile which cost us an additional $350. We will never shop there again.

I’ve looked at tile shops in several cities and The Tile Shop offers good selection at a competitive price.

Very expensive and limited variety. The staff was helpful, but if you are looking for the best prices I would look elsewhere. Ended up shopping at Floor an Decor, and getting what I needed there.

The Tile Shop is a little bit like a big box experience, but still a great one-stop shop for selecting your tiles and materials. They offer excellent customer service, pricing, and delivery. They do try to keep up and showcase the latest tile styles within reason, while offering pretty good price points, and they can help you coordinate your tiles and material needs and quantities. Their tile showroom has quite a few bathroom displays (which could use some updating) and many tile sample boards you can borrow to help you make a decision. If your a DYIer and this is your first time tile project and purchasing tiles and materials, this would be a great place to start and get educated. The tile world is huge in Louisville, so focus on your style and decor and then visit the local tile sellers, I am sure the Tile Shop will be one of your go to places for your next purchase! Very unhelpful people. Called to ask if I could return a purchase without a receipt even though the purchase was old. Was told over the phone that that would be no problem. Drove a half out of the way to return it, only to be told no one remembered speaking to me in the phone and I could not return my item. Management was only the tiniest bit helpful after I told them for the third time that it was their mess up, not mine. Buy your tile products somewhere else!

Nice displays and ok prices, but 90% of the tile is from China, and trying to avoid it meant looking at each box for country of origin, which no one there had time to make happen, or look up, anything helpful, and their website didnt show the manufacturer too much, so no, will be going to Louisville Tile for stouter stuff made with less poison, And that doesnt reward self-proclaimed enemies (whose money bribes Russia and North Koreas aggression towards the west). Home Depot even has nice porcelain floor pieces from the US for the same money (Marrazi).

Customer service was excellent and the store offers a wide array of tile choices. The designer was very patient while helping us design the ideal rooms.

Staff couldnt have been nicer. From the manager to our salesperson, we were very pleased. Tile selection was great. Their computer conversion, we happened to be doing our bathroom redo over year-end. was a nightmare. Although all the staff handled this in a very professional way, it was challenging for all involved. Our job was held up multiple times because delivery dates were delayed because of back order etc. I tried to be patient, because I too have gone through banking computer conversions during my 40 year working career, but Ill have to say this was the worst I have seen, and sadly no fault of this location. Ashton was great to work with as well as the rest of the staff. Our renovation was finally completed yesterday, and it looks beautiful. I would have given 5 stars, if there wasnt so much technical difficulty. Hopefully, this has been resolved, because over the course of 2 months, it seemed to be as difficult in the end as it was in the beginning. Again, not because the staff ever expressed the difficulty to the customer, Im just familiar with conversions enough to know this should have been easier for all involved. I was patient, but Id be concerned that not all customers would have been happy. Kudos to the fine staff at this location! Thanks, Linda Tingle-McGowan

I do a fair amount of tile selections and installations for myself and for clients so I wanted to write what I thought would be a fair review of the Tile Shop. Long story short, they are some of the most expensive tile in town but I’ve had a great experience working with the staff and the products they offer.So onto the longer review –Cost: if you’re looking for cheap tile you are lost. Really lost. However if you’re comparing big box home improvement stores to here it’s not really a fair comparison in my opinion. Tile Shop’s real competitors in town would be places like Louisville Tile, Daltile, or Mees Tile where the price and quality would be comparable.Availability – This is probably my favorite part of the Tile shop – that they are open on Saturdays and evenings. Huge perk over the other specialty stores.Correct and on time – this is a tough call but while other stories are 100% the Tile shop has missed complete order fill dates once or twice and I’ve had to wait an additional week for the full order to arrive. This hasn’t been a big deal for me as they have about a 90% success rate but if your client has a rush job this can stop a job and cause headaches. That being said when the orders do show up they are correct.People – I’ve worked almost exclusively with James so I cannot speak for the store as a whole but I can say that working with him has been a pleasure and I highly recommend him. He’s very knowledgeable about different types and styles of tile and will take the time to walk me through complex installations to make sure the job comes out correctly.

I was oversold on overpriced materials. What i needed totaled around $200, but ended up being sold $440 worth of stuff. I got what I needed at home depot for $100. Im taking it all back. They have their own house brand of supplies which probably means they are buying from the same outsourced factories, putting their label on it and charging a premium. Screw this place.

Spent over $500 here. Tile chipped super easy during cutting and the caulk i bought failed in under a year. Will never shop here again. Got better tile at lowes for half the price

After having granite countertops installed we found it difficult to find a tile (backsplash) to match the paint and countertop. We came to the tile shop and Jon helped us immediately. He confidently stated he has been matching colors for over 20 years and was up to the task. I was very skeptical. He looked at two pictures of our kitchen on my iPhone and marched straight to his suggestion. Again, I didn’t see it but he was sure. I was also reserved because I thought it was over priced. After a short break of research I realized the price was reasonable. You can get it cheaper on the net but it’s heavy and expensive to ship. And what if the color is off? Too much trouble. Bought the tile and grout he suggested. After installation, WOW!

My husband and I came to the Tile Shop one night and we were the only customers, and now I see why. Not a single worker acknowledged our presence or asked us if we needed any help- we even walked right past them! Terrible customer service- they will not receive our business and we will not return.

This place was TERRIBLE! Ended up needing two associates to help because they couldnt find the tile we had written down. They have no desk to sit and review samples. I had to request that we put samples together and they laid them out on the floor. They apologized to us because our tiles are out of order and we cant find your samples.Waste of time!!!

There were 5 people standing right inside the door, with all of the lights on, yet they told us they had closed early (minutes before our arrival)... There was no sign showing that they did close early.Highly disappointing. Especially considering I drove an hour to get here.
