I called the store about tires for my truck. I wanted the General Grabber APT. The tires I wanted are just not available even though they are on the website. Depending on tire size, or the tire itself, some tires are just not available. Supply chain problems affect tire availability unfortunately. They had to get them from their warehouse in Cincinnati. So they ordered them and when they arrived, they called to schedule installation. I arrived a few minutes early. They got to my truck shortly after arriving. It took maybe an hour to get 4 new tires and alignment done. No complaints and satisfied with the service and tires. I got the General Grabber HTS. Quiet and overall smooth riding tires.

My Wife took our vehicle there on her way to an appt., after noting the check engine light was on & the vehicle was not running well. All who were involved were courteous & thoughtful. This has been my go-to tire shop go for a while. Always good communication, relatively fast service, and have quickly resolved any issues. They even paid for an Uber back home my last visit!

Scheduled an appointment for a tire alignment. Arrived on time and they were immediately ready to service my vehicle. Employee gave me an estimated time and was exactly accurate. The job was quick and the quality of work was excellent.

The customer service is outstanding! However, do your homework. When they give you the news on what the issue is, read about it in depth. I had several $100s of work done on my car, only to have the same exact issue happen again within months. I was advised to take to another store to see master mechanic. Before they could test the to see if the brake booster was defective..they need to replace $100s more dollars of work before they can determine if the brake booster is defective. Such as brake hoses, calipers etc over $700..then they can test the brake booster which was just replaced ..it was NEVER mentioned that i needed the other items. I was told it would be at my expense to repair, once done, they can test the brake booster. I dont understand how they tested before 2 poss issues, that have the same exact warning signs..

Took my car in to get new tires, when they were done I noticed a loud rumbling noise coming from one of the wheels. Took it back and asked them to look at it, the manager nervously told me nothing was wrong. Took it to a mechanic who told me one of the wheel bearings was shattered. Cost me $270 to fix, shouldve sued this place.Would give 0 stars if I could, DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR!

Scheduled an appointment for 1130, showed up at 11 for oil change and rotation. Informed them I would be waiting but would be at the shopping center next door killing time. They said they would let me know when it was done. 2pm I still hadnt heard anything, called and was told they were behind and I was going in right then. I never hear anything back, walk back over at 4pm to find the car had never moved, not touched. How do you lie like that to people and why ? Just be honest and keep people updated, nothing worse than being lied to.I dont get many days off and my whole day was wasted and didnt even get the service requested. I guess if you go here dont leave your car, be rude and impatient so they will push you through. Not the first time this location has lied to me, gave them a break the first couple times, just wanna let you know what to expect and to be weary of everything.

Stopped by to get a couple of from mower tires mounted. Guy at front desk told me that they did not have a machine that could mount them. As I walked out the door he stated that they could do a million of them every spring if they had the machine. If this were my business I would have the machine even if not profitable it would be good customer service. How many people have they turned away that will not go back to this store and buy tires, I am one of them.

We have worked with tire discounters at our local location now for 4 years and they are the only folks I will go with! Always honest and upfront with me and seem to always go above and beyond anything I need. Justin at the Taylorsville Road location is my go-to and I refer everybody to him! Thank you for making all my dealings with you guys so easy!

Every time I’ve been to this place, it’s completely understaffed and takes forever just to check in much less get my car back from a simple tire rotation. I stood in the lobby just now for 5-minutes behind a gentleman who had gotten there before me and he hadn’t even been helped yet. There looked to be one mechanic working in the garage with three cars being serviced. Last time I was here before this, they out the wrong size tire on my car, and when I called to complain about this (and the noise it was making as it grinded against the wheel well) they tried to suggest the shocks needed to be replaced (a $700-$1000 fix if I remember correctly). This place is run as if they are completely uninterested in getting new customers or retaining current ones. Avoid unless you want to waste a whole day just getting a new tire.

Cool staff, fast, efficient and helpful and friendly - manager is not so cool, super bossy guy and is pushing his crew around - I always tip the crew for their outstanding service - they rock

DON’T COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!!! Took our vehicle in to get two tires replaced as well as an oil change. They took care of the tires with no problem but they lied about completing our oil change even though they charged us for it. Our Maintenance required light came on a week later and low oil indicator the week after that. Took it back to the place that the oil change was done before and they showed me that the filter they put on had never been replaced! When I called back to discuss this with the GM Justin he denied that anyone at his shop would do this and then hung up on me. Overall I am just dissatisfied with the customer service from the team. Would not recommend taking your vehicle to someone like this. Look elsewhere, BE WARNED!!!!!

No one there can be bothered to order any wheels or tires. Lied to me 3 days in a row before I went elsewhere. They do not value your time or money.

With just a flop of the name I was able to get my brand new trailer wheels balanced. I stopped by Tire Discounters on my way home from work to see if they would balance new trailer wheels. They said they would for 39.95. I told them I would bring them by in a few minutes as I had to pick them up from my house. I left the wheels there hoping they would be done that day. The next morning at 10:30, Tire Discounters called me and said they could not balance wheels that had not been weighted before. That was their policy. Not sorry at all. So two wasted trips to Tire Discounters.So I took them by Discount Tire and they did them no problems and they even took $5 off for the hassle with Tire Discounters.Moral of the story. Just a flip flop in the name gets the job done. Take your trailer wheels to Discount Tire. I just received a call from them - done in 30 minutes.

It certainly pays to wait until youve had a return visit until you post a review. I bought four tires for my work car at this location at the beginning of the year and was impressed with the service. In fact, I took my spare vehicle here to have new tires installed on it. Fast forward to today and I have a flat. I change to my spare in the pouring rain and head to the store to get it repaired. These tires only have 5k miles on them and I am told that I need to buy a replacement. Being the ardent skeptic that I am, I went to my mechanic who told me that while there is some damage to the tire, replacement is not necessary. I am currently driving on the tire and all is well. I know to never say never, so I will say the chances of me returning to this store are slim to none. I am deeply disappointed in having to write a negative review.

Stopped by there this morning when my tire blew out. They got my old tire off as the last store (Not tire discounters) tightened them down so much I couldnt get them off myself. They swapped out my blown for my spare because Im broke but also aired up my other tires. Just all around great guys and great people, thank you again for your help and Im sorry my car hates everyone but me!!!

BIG FAN OF THESE GUYS now..... went in just yesterday after calling around to at least 10 places to get brakes, and they were 100% honest, even took me on the floor to see my car and show me what was wrong. Called to see about getting 4 new tires. Gave the girl my measurements. Said they could get me in on Friday. Get there and she tells me they can get my tires in by Monday?! So I took a day off work to be told I have to take another day off work?! Who does business that way? I called her a week and a half in advance and she didnt order the tires at all! She was ordering them on the phone while my husband waited. Went straight to DISCOUNT TIRE, got me a quote and ordered in under 10 minutes! My tires were in by Saturday morning! Tire Discounters missed out on $1300!

The cute sayings on the sign out front dont make up for the terrible service inside the store. Made an appointment 5 days in advance and it still took them 4 hours to change oil and rotate tires...are you kidding me? No apologies, no discount for the amount of time we had to wait...just bad customer service. We wont be back.

I had a question about an issue on my van while getting back from vacation. Something was loose underneath it. They were kind enough to look at it for me and because it was such a basic service they just fixed it for me real quick for free. I wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am for their quick, prompt and generous service. I do recommend this company and will be back.

Have always given me honest answers on what needs to be fixed, what doesnt need fixed right now but will in the near future & why. Thats why I keep coming back here. I highly recommend them.

Worst tire store I’ve ever used. Because of the location we set up an account for fleet service and have been disappointed ever since. They have a new manager or loaner manager from a different store each week. They have told us they rotated tires when they have not, messed up/ lost our account more than once including service history. I have been called twice to pick up a tire that was dropped off for repair only to see the nail still sticking out of the tire. Even though we should of parted ways long ago we stayed because of location. But today i went in to drop off a truck that has been there several times before and a snotty rude little man (CODY) told me he refused to work on it because of safety reasons? It’s a 2017 f-350I informed him that all of our trucks are the same and they have worked on all of our trucks for 5-6 years. I let him know if he was not able to do what the store had done 100 times before i would not be bringing any business back to his store. With a childish little smirk he said good! He’s a horrible addition to an already bad situation.

I stopped at Tire Discounters, to get some air in a tire, the service tech not only aired up my obviously low tire, he checked all four tires and insisted on also checking the pressure in my trailor tires. All six tires were low, and I truly feal as the tech most likely saved me from having a bad day, he paid tremendous attention to me and my needs.When I need my next set of tires, I know where I will be going...

Even if you make an appointment they never get done in a timely manner.. They don’t seem to think that anyone’s time is very important as every time we have went to this location they never get finished in the time they say. Most of the time the work that needs to be done is only an oil change.. Very unsatisfied! We try to give people extra chances but I think this will be the last chance they get from this household.

I purchased 4 tires from them in April. Now 4 months later I had a tire with a slow leak. I called this location to make an appointment. It took 3 tries to get someone to pick up the phone. I explained I have 2 young kids and I’m aware that their waiting area is not safe for kids. He said 11 would be a good time to come in and since it’s just a patch I’d be on my way quickly.I arrived on time for my appointment and was told that it would be at least an hour before they could even get me into a bay. I explained I made an appointment and he said “there are others ahead of you”. Since my tire had to be repaired I had no choice but stay.Since this place is not safe for young kids, we walked down a very busy road with no sidewalk to McDonald’s to get some lunch.2 hours later I had still not received a phone call about my car so we walked back. My car wasn’t finished yet and we waited 15 more mins.Parents of kids I would find somewhere else to get tires or oils changes. There is no changing table in the restroom, there are wheels and rims hanging loosing on display. Tires all over the floor. Dangerous for kids who are curious and also bored.I tried to find a phone number to speak to corporate about my concerns and big surprise, there isn’t one. So I’m leaving my review in hopes others don’t have to deal with my family had to. as I read reviews others left I would agree, it’s not clean or timely and they just don’t seem to care.

They quoted $123 for battery. Came into pick up the vehicle and we ended up paying $211 for labor and shop fees. What a rip off.I took my truck tire for a small leak and $50 later I still have the leak.

I must admit I was a little skeptical about coming here. But something in my gut said to call. When I talked to the guy on the phone he was very knowledgeable and very confident and reassuring that they could help. I made an appointment and Im so glad I did!!When I got there John helped me get signed in. He was friendly and prompt. I felt very welcome. They didnt take my car right away but it wasnt long before they did. I guess a few people had dropped their cars off and left because I was the only one in the lobby. John offered me the remote to the tv and I gladly accepted because Im not a fan of soap operas. 😁 He also made me a fresh pot of coffee.Another gentleman came out (Aaron?) and told me what they found wrong and he said they had the part and Id be ready in about an hour and a half. True to his word my car was ready to go. And I wasnt taken to the cleaners. It was within the price range I expected to pay. AND I didnt have to wait more than a few hours!Honestly I am very glad I called. I dont like big business but that is what everything is going to nowadays. Yes Tire Discounters is a big organization but they treat you like theyve known you your whole life...like family. I really appreciate that and hope they continue that trend. I visited the store to buy tires and have my oil changed. After I picked my car up, I noticed that the oil life was not reset, and the old oil change sticker was on my windshield. I asked the manager about this and he asked the technician, and he forgot to changed the oil. I did not want to wait any longer for the oil change, so I was given a gift card with IOU an oil change written in permanent marker on the back of the gift card. I only purchased two tires, and told them I would be back in a couple weeks to buy two more tires, and they told me I would get a free alignment ( they did not specify a time frame that the free alignment would not be done after). I returned six weeks later to buy the other two tires, and they told me the alignment would cost $100 since I purchased the tires over 4 weeks ago. I was upset, but the alignment needed to be done so I told them to do it. I also gave them the IOU gift card so they would change the oil. When I returned to pick up the car, I immediately asked for a manager to talk to about the $100 alignment fee, and the lady waiting on me told me that she did not put an alignment in the invoice because she didnt think I wanted it. Another front counter person got involved, and they ended up doing the alignment for free, but I again had to return a couple hours later to pick up my vehicle. Before I left, I looked at the invoice for the service. When I returned to pick up the car after the free alignment was done, the new invoice was fifty dollars more expensive than the original. I asked why, and they said they would fix it. While the two front counter employees were fixing the invoice, they told me that their computer system adds money to invoices all the time and they arent sure why. They spoke about the issue like it was very common. To top it all off, when I finally got back into my car, the oil maintenance was not reset on my car, and there was not a new oil change sticker in the window. Cant trust this place and will not return, I suggest finding a different place for vehicle maintenance.

May be a reasonable place to buy tires. But their service after that is beyond sad. You can spend hundreds of dollars on new tires. And they will take care of you on the spot. But if you have a problem with one, dont every walk in the door without an appointment. Got there an hour before they closed. Nobody in the parking lot. They refused to fix a tire with slow leak. Second time there that day. You might want to try another location. This one is a pain.

Just had my third trip at Tire Discounters. All for various reasons.. Those guys are great, and every time I do business with them, they convince me that they are my go-to guys. Outstanding service, and very personable.

Appointments are meaningless here. I called early in the morning to make a 5:15 appointment for an oil change and tire repair. I arrived at 5:00 only to be told that they would get to me as soon as possible. One hour later and one hour before closing it was clear to me that they werent going to do anything. Dont waste your time or energy....there are too many other places with better customer service.

I had to have new brakes, new tires, an oil change and a wiper blade on my back window. Im here to tell you, these are ABSOLUTELY the best folks ever! Ill be back, no doubt about it!!

I scheduled an appointment for 3, ended up getting out around 6:30. More than half of that time my car sat in the parking lot, not being worked on at all. I understand there being long waits when it’s a walk-in, but I don’t think I should have to wait over 3 hours for an appointment I previously called in and scheduled.

5/09/17 Called to have 4 new tires put on my Ford Fusion at around 4pm, was told they only had 2 in stock but could get the other 2 in the morning. Tires were ordered. 5/10/17 Dropped car off at around 10am and told the sales manager that I would like to pick my car up at around 6pm (waited in store 4 hours last time I had tires done here). Manager said that would be no problem. I called at 5pm to make sure the car was ready to be picked up, was told that all my lug nuts were bad and could not be put back on. They wanted to charge me $80 for cheap lug nuts. I ended up ordering better quality McGard lug nuts (M12 X1.5) for $40. Manager told me that tires would be mounted and balanced and alignment completed and that I could bring new lug nuts in the morning and would be in and out in minutes. 5/11/17 Brought new lug nuts at 10am and was told I would have to wait 3 hours. I said I would come back and to call me when my car was ready. 5pm rolls around and still no call. Called them and was told that the lug nuts I brought didnt fit. I show up to find my car in the parking lot with new tires mounted and balanced but only held on to by 2 old lug nuts on each wheel. I then installed the new higher quality lug nuts myself in the parking lot and they fit no problem (Ive used them before). They had my car for 3 days, never called me once, They dont know how to install aftermarket lug nuts, and on top of all of this they broke my door handle and refused to repair it. These people are CROOKS!

Great service, whole staff was helpful and friendly, the tech working on my car was nice enough to look over the underside of my car and point out a minor issue that needed attention too. Felt like I got the best bang for my buck service and product wise.

If I could give them zero stars I would. They used to be the best place in town, but now everytime they always have cars left over from the night before, so I made an appointment a week out and then they lose the appointment and cant get me in because of the cars from the night before (Always cars from the night before). Last car they aligned still pulled to the left and they didnt fix the VSA cable and said take it to the dealership when they couldnt figure it out. So here I am at Kentowery. Gave them 3 or 4 chances thinking maybe it was just a bad day, but it would seem every day is a bad day for them. Lost this customer forever.

If I could rate -5 stars I would.I took my truck in for alignment. The tech who “has been doing this for 15 years” haha (eye roll)said my ball joints were in wrong and he couldn’t do an alignment etc. I knew for a fact they weren’t and said well try anyways. 2 hours later they haven’t done a thing to my truck and wasted my time and money because I had to Uber it home when I dropped it off.I will never ever go back and I suggest you never even go the first time.

I’ve purchased no less than 3 sets of tires for various vehicles from this location over the years. Today I dropped a loose tire and rim off at 9 am. When I went to pick it up at 3 pm I explained I was there for the loose set. The gentlemen behind the counter replied with “which one we’ve done about six today”. I directed him to the place where I had personally unloaded said parts...that hadn’t been touched. Then he said they had had a lot of appointments and hadn’t been able to work mine in...but you just said you’d done six? I guess those six were stacked elsewhere and arrived before mine? I can understand being busy, even being forgotten about on a busy day, but not lied to. Visit another location.

Ive been a regular customer here since the ship opened. Ive always had excellent experiences. Last time around, there was an issue with some specialized tires that I needed. I got a bit frustrated after a couple calls without answers. I talked to Dale, the shop manager, and he got me squared away in a hurry with a lot of apologies and professionalism. Not every shop is going to run right 100% of the time. The mark of a good shop isnt hitting 100% perfection, but being able to properly remedy the occasional snafu. Ill keep going back and recommend that you do as well.

Scheduling was nice but service was hetic. I needed 1 new tire put on to replace a tire that blew out 2 days prior. I was studying for a class while waiting for my car wondering why people coming in after me were having their cars serviced while my car was still sitting in the same spot. Come to find out my car was done and they just never told me. I waited 2 hours but based on when they started servicing people who came in after me, my care was probably done for the last hour that I waited. It wasnt until my parents stopped by and noticed a new tire on my car that I went back inside again and had to ask the guy who checked me in if my car was done because it looked done. He then checked and saw it was done. Then, when I go to leave, one of the employees pulls up behind me and starts honking at me, I can only assume because I wasnt pulling out to take a left with 2 cars coming by and ice and snow all over the ground. I just got done driving around on a spare for the last 2 days, I wasnt feeling risky. This poor service will definitely stop me from coming back here next time.

Purchase all my tires from them, needed tires balance, was no problem, pick up, and they stand behind their work no matter what, I can do most of my repairs myself, but its nice to know you have a place that can be a great a service as my business. Thanks

Very slow service. Must be in competition with drive thru McDonalds. They were to of already had the tires in stock when I checked on line before coming to the store. I get here they only had one. They said they were going to get one from another store. 2 1/2 hours later and no service has ever been done yet. Now they came from behind the counter and have no idea about the tire I wanted to begin with. Disorganized!!! Place to be for service. I would not recommend this place to nobody.

Every time I come here I end up waiting for hours. The past three times I’ve been here the mechanics have messed up something on my vehicle. They replaced my water pump and now my engine make noises. They replaced our tires with tires that ran down to the wire within a few months. They replaced my air filter and couldn’t get my intake manifold back together.

Had my tires done here twice. Today, in a new vehicle I got something in my tire and changed it to a spare just up from the Taylorsville exit on Gene Snyder and limped into the lot a bit before 7. I waited at the counter for 10 minutes to be told they would not plug my tire, they just wanted to get out the door.Look, I hate to keep anyone late, I really do. I do not do it at restaurants and I do not do it at department stores. Honestly though, I thought for sure that seeing someone hard up and covered in road grime they would take ten minutes and plug my tire.Its okay though, Big O helped me. Even though they had technically been closed for an hour.

Was going to go there today to drop our cars off for a simple oil change and was told they could not get to us until Wednesday !!!!!! For an oil change really !!!!!! We have a business account there but I think we will move on somewhere that can get us a little faster service.

My wife took her car in to get a wheel bearing replaced. After the work was done, I looked at the bill and my mouth fell open. They charged 25% more than getting the same work done at the local Buick dealer.

I think they just lost an otherwise loyal customer. Terrible service.
