Honest and fair pricing with good quality work. He stands by his work and has a huge knowledge on early and late model German/European vehicles. He has saved me a lot of money compared to the dealer. Highly recommend for anyone living in the area that needs some maintenance/repair work done.

I have a 1988 Porsche 944 and Steve got me repaired and was able to diagnose my problem quickly! Not to mention I was able to get a ride home from him when I dropped off my vehicle and he picked me up when my car got repaired! I will return back for any future repairs! Thanks Steve!

Living in the Highland neighborhood helped solidify the realization to use German Imports located at 2511 Grinstead. I would have paid a million dollars because 1. In the neighborhood and 2. Convenient. What happened next: Great service, snow storm slowed the process and cost extra.....but Steve (the owner ) contacted me every day. I contacted Enterprise on Bardstown Rd. (Highlands) and they picked me up. I ended up on dropping the rental on Saturday morning and walked from Enterprise to German Imports. (18 min.) Great and inspiring momemt and day!

So far so good. Had a headlight issue which was taken care of to my satisfaction. Will give them a shot at something more substantial soon.

I purchased what was supposed to be low mileage Toyota Camry from Steve for a daily comuter to work (10min round trip) and with 130k miles you would expect to have no issues. Well then comes the underlying problem of a mechanical bandaid that has been sold to me costing me 1000s or dollars to even make road worthy again. Steve’s offers nothing but $100 a hr to fix it. BAD BUSINESS.

Fair prices and quality work. Don’t go to the dealership. Go here for your German auto repair needs. Also, don’t listen to Tracy down there. That Karen doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

My son’s 02 A6 went down with a bad axle and I had to have his car towed in for repair to German Imports. I found GI after calling around for a quote and Steve was fair and knowledgeable. I have to say they over delivered with the repair. They were able to fix the car and a small wiring problem Steve found in one day. Overall I am very pleased with the experience and highly recommend German Imports for Audi repair.

Lesson learned. I will never go to this want a be mechanic again. I was taken advantage of. I was told that I needed a new radiator. I paid about $387.00 for the part & labor. About 2 weeks after they worked on my car I had the exact same thing happen again. I asked if they would look at my car to see what was going on. I was told now that it was my water pump. I said Apparently I didnt need a new radiator the want a be mechanic laughed & said Yes I did need a radiator. Of course hes going to say that. I may not know much about cars but I wasnt born yesterday. Hes suppose to be the mechanic he should have know the first time he looked at my car that it was my water pump. Its a shame that you cant trust anyone.

I recently used this shop and was very disappointed with the customer service. I had used them in the past and felt they were expensive but I thought it was to be expected with a foreign car. I didnt have any complaints about their work at the time so customer service was adequate. This time I wasnt satisfied with the work and when I expressed that politely, I was met with a nasty attitude. I asked them to assemble the front strut of my car. I told them it was assembled incorrectly and they took an offense to it. They said it was my fault because I didnt bring the old one as an example, but the spring clearly did not seat properly in the rubber pad after they assembled it. I wouldnt expect to need to bring a second vehicle as an example every time I need their service. They said it would cost a minimum of a half hour shop time, at $85 and hour, to fix their mistake. They had already charged a full hour which I thought was high based on others opinions stated online. My overall experience today was pretty disappointing. I would have probably paid the extra and just taken it as a lesson, but the attitude really caught me by surprise. I didnt express any negativity when I tried to address the situation, but was met with nothing but attitude. I wouldnt give them any stars but they did work me in quickly. But maybe thats because theyre not busy if theyre treating all of their customers this way.

This is the best shop youll find in Louisville, Steve and Paul are very knowledgeable... and not just about German cars! They can do pretty much anything. I dont take my Vanagon or my wifes Scion anywhere else. They know what theyre doing, they have very fair rates and will break everything down for you. Quick service too.

Steve and his mechanics did a wonderful job fixing my large oil leak (50 miles per quart of oil) on my 1998 Honda Accord 4 cyl. Another shop told me both the front and rear seals were leaking and the engine would need to be pulled. I told Steve that and he was honest enough to tell me that it was just the front seals leaking and would not need to pull the engine, saving me tons of money. After the work was done, I had a loud noise from the engine and again was told it was because they did not get the engine timing correct. Again they pulled the timing cover (no Charge) and everything was correct. Come to find out there was a small hole in the exhaust just behind the exhaust manifold. They work on all car makes and I sincerely recommend them.Les Bradfield

I broke down on a trip down to Indiana in a classic aircooled VW, and this shop was able to fix it right the first time. It was a lot of work and the price for everything was more than fair. I really appreciate everything these guys did and they treated myself and my car with utmost respect. I would recommend them to anyone who has a German Import.

So this review doesnt relate directly to me, however I could not speak any higher of these people.A couple of nights ago a close friend of mines tire blew while he was driving on the way to his house, just so happened that it occurred right by your alls business. The next day when he went to go pick it up/deal with the situation these guys dropped what they were doing and went out of their way to run over to him and not only put a spare on for him, but rotate and put air in every other tire; all the while only charging him $5.This gesture might not seem like much to you all, hence you were simply doing your job, but while you gentlemen were doing this for my friend I was speaking with him the whole time. This meant the absolute world to him.His best friend had passed away unexpectedly that night when his tire had blown and it has been honestly shattering him.Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for letting me hear happiness in my friends voice for a second by simply doing an amazing gesture for a stranger.Whoever was working Thursday (yesterday) morning, you guys are badass humans.

Very unprofessional, got called out of my name after asking a simple question about a vehicle in which was having a motor rebuilt. I had asked if it was still there and I was told that someone else had picked it up, the man on the phone then started getting hostile yelling and cursing at me because I asked if he checked the title on the vehicle before it was released in which he said no and then started being violent over the phone. Apparently he never checks to verify and anyone can pick up a vehicle from them!

Absolutely terrible experience!! In total, we brought our car in 3-4 times for the same related issue(s) over the course of MANY months. The last time we took it in, the moment we picked it back up it began to driving poorly (after they claimed I needed a new battery because mine was at least 3 years old- when they didn’t know it had been replaced just a few months prior by ME!!) So poorly, in fact, it was dangerous and I couldn’t even put my child in the car. After we brought it back in ONCE AGAIN- and in the rudest way possible- they told us it wasn’t their problem- it was just a coincidence, and literally told me while he was yelling at me over the phone, “You have no idea what you’re talking about because you know nothing about cars”- I am not exaggerating, these were his exact words. After refusing to look into the “new” issue or accept fault, we took our business elsewhere, where it’s now being fixed and we were told it had the wrong spark plugs recently installed, just to START.... What an enormous amount of time wasted and money spent on such unprofessional and apparently inept mechanics. I would never dream of referring anyone I know to this establishment (and I use that word LOOSELY!) 🤬
