The worst place I have every taken my car personal was condescending.. disrespectful.my car sat there for three weeks and he did nothing...moved everybody in front of me to work on there cars...never believe a word he says makes promises he never kept..all it needed was starter motor.......never once made phone call to let me know he hadnt gotten to it.....

It was not a good experience the charged 500 $ for a mass air flow sensor and crank position sensor and when I had it diagnosis after they said they replaced athe crank sensor, the computer indicator said the crank sensor was defective. They charged me but never changed it.

Stay away from these people! They are crooks.Take your car to them, they remove parts without asking, they lie, steal from customers without you knowing.They have cars that sit outside for show to lure customers in. Once you get in there you will see a smiling face from the front desk, but that’s only to get your trust. You bring your car in there for one problem you will be leaving with more problems than what you came for.In order for a car business to stay in business they have to have cars, right? If you bring your car in for a oil change, you will leave with your wheel messed up. They remove a part every time you bring your car, so you have to keep coming back.Save your money. Go to a dealership where they will at least do the work right.Stay away from here!!!

They keep their word on how long it takes to have your car fixed.I had sway bar links put on my car and they told me I would have it back the same day and I did and havent had any problems.Cant tell you about a bad experience because I havent had one yet.And their nice people from what I experienced.

Had my a/c checked cause it was blowing out hot air. 850 and some change to fix. Was told the compressor was bad and needed a evaporator line cause it was damge. So we thinking ok and cool they didnt charge us for telling us what it needed. Super cool until i took it to my mechanic something about a heat regulator had pulled apart and one of the probes were bent long story short it cost $159 now we got that cold air. People should do right to everybody

Rockford Lane Automotive came HIGHLY recommended to me and has not let me down since. Whenever ANYTHING is wrong with my vehicle I take it to them! They do good work and are honest and fair on their pricing!

Another shop quoted me a crazy, outrageous amount (nearly $1200!) to replace my front rotors, pads and calipers. Rockford Lane worked me in on the late afternoon the Friday of a holiday weekend, gave me a loaner vehicle, and did the work for a completely reasonable amount. When I picked up my vehicle, the front desk folks said, You really got lucky that we were able to work you in! No, I didnt. What I got was great customer service. Thats not luck -- thats this team going out of its way to serve a customer. They didnt have to do that -- they just found a way to make it happen. Thats part of the culture of this garage. I was looking for a mechanic closer to my home, but I will gladly make the drive to Rockford Lane. Totally worth it. In addition to great customer service, the team there is professional, friendly and fun. These are people that work hard, and seem to love their jobs. The reception area is clean and welcoming and the decor is really cool.

Good work for a good price

These guys are fantastic. Sure, theyre very busy so it usually takes a day or two, and theyre closed on Sundays and close at 2PM on Saturdays, but other than that they are the best mechanics Ive ever used. I will never be going back to the big corporate money-making machines like Firestone or Pep Boys. Rockford Lane charges a fair price for what you need done.

They were extremely busy but Still agreed to check my tire when I came in. I discovered a a nail in my tire at 5 and was supposed to be 15 miles away at a graduation for my granddaughter. They had a new tire on and I was out the door in 30 minutes or less. I would say that the amount of business coming in and out how awesome they are. I would recommend Rockford Automotive to anybody!

I went to Sears Auto center after I noticed a harsh engine start and they told me the starter needs to be replaced, which I already did at Rockford Ln Auto workshop couple months ago; I doubt they did it, because this time I noticed the smooth start and sound changes. They need some honesty.. Dont go there and let them rip you off.

I used then for tires on both mine and my wifes car. After shopping prices they beat everyone else I checked out. Plus they have a pet cat in the shop so who doesnt like that...

Communication really bad, I had to keep calling to get updates on car no one called like they said, when I paid for services and got in car I noticed my CD player had been switched out no one said anything luckily I noticed before I drove off I asked them about and they give me some story about a break in but I got a good feeling they! stole my cd player and replaced it with some other one Fyi take all valuables out of car if u get work done my first time dealing with them I do Not recommend this repair shop at all

First let me say I was referred by a friend to this auto mechanic shop... I never spoke with an actual mechanic, its almost like they have counselors to speak to you with a smiling face, but that doesnt mean Jack if you just been ripped off for $1,200. I have a Ford 500 06, and thank God Ive taken it to another mechanic, a fair one, this place is not honest, there is no Integrity that lies in this place...They initially charged me for replacing 3 motor mounts, but they said I actually needed five motor mounts replaced! ( the new mechanic has assured me theres almost no way that all five motor mounts could need to be replaced at the same time) but they had no problem telling me that... I also got the AC compressor fixed which was another $500. So I brought my car in with minor stalling on the expressway, as well as minor vibrations, I had never even seen the check engine light! The first day they gave me my car back it seem to be okay, the very next day the check engine light was on and off, it was not accelerating over 60 on the expressway, literally dangerous to myself and others, so I brought it in the next day, they told me they would stand by their work if it was something they did, but their conclusion was charging me another $550 because they said the motor mounts werent anywhere near the plugs which is what I needed replaced now... but what they were doing was guess working, and Justin who works there but is not a mechanic, had the nerve to call my situation a fluke.. the first mechanic I spoke with after Rockford Lane Automotive, suggested I had been ripped off, and to put my car on a scanner.. so I actually got another mechanic in a small shop to tell me it was the throttle body sensor, not plugs or coils. The thing is when you guess work, and refuse to fix the initial problem after someone gives you their whole savings, then youre the worst kind of person/place. In conclusion, do not take your car to this shop, you will regret it probably.. Im guessing if its something minor like breaks, yu MAY actually get your car fixed... please save yourself the heartache, I dont know if anything can be done but I will be contacting a lawyer today

Took my wifes car in for a tune up and oil change before she went out of town. Later that day and about 180 miles later, she called me saying the car was smoking. By the time she got home it was over heating. I opened hood and there was oil and antifreeze blowing all over the engine. Rockford came and got car next day and said it was a faulty part. Kept car 2 days but said they couldnt offer us a loaner or rent us a car. Finally got car back, oil and antifreeze was still leaking and car was over heating. I told them i was taking it to dealer because i was fed up with them. Owner calls me after the dealer diagnosis problem and says that the dealer doesnt know what theyre talking about and to bring the car back to them. I refused to take it or any other car back there. Between the $450 they charged me for breaking it and what the dealer charged to fix their mistakes...cost me over $2000. Most expensive tune-up and oil change ever!!! Just wanted to put the word out to hopefully help someone else from getting screwed over by them...

Went there bc people gave good reviews on fb. I paid almost $400 for new shoes, rotors.,etc last year. Had to go back four times bc they kept squeaking. Brakes have been terrible since about a month or two after going the last time. My Dad put new brakes on the front and said the right side was shot! This was after they supposedly warrantied out what they put it the first time. Ugh what a waste of money and time. I wouldnt go back there ever.

Had them quote 4 new tires for my car, cheaper than other places so I chose them, they installed the new tires and disposed of the old ones. Also more knowledgeable about the vehicles they work on compared to chain Autoshops.
