Used to be great. Then this place went downhill. My last visit for body work ended up with a stolen spare tire out of my trunk when I picked it back up. Management is shady too. Do not recommend.

This team in Springhurst is the greatest. They are quick, professional, nice, friendly, and always trying to make it easy for you. No matter if is 10 min or 10 days, they are gonna take care of you and your car in special way that you will want to come back. If I get through another situation with my car, I surely will contact them. Their professionalism and tech tools will help you exceedingly even if its your first experience. THANK YOU ALL, GUYS. YOU WERE A LEAGUES.

I had my car repaired here after a rear end collision. They did a great job visually. I did have an issue with water in the trunk and the rear floorboard 9 months after it was repaired. Without hesitation they had me bring it in. They fixed it along with something that was not even their responsibility...no charge.

Well. I just got my car back from this shop. Ive always liked this repair shop but - the dreaded but.I had minor repairs done on the driver/passenger side doors (exterior), and the repair itself looks good, but the issue is after I had the opportunity to look over the car at home I noticed several hiccups in the shops process. The first is the extreme amount of product dust in my car, guess its the substance they used to repair the damage, most likely from the sanding portion. So I had to wipe down the entire interior of my car. The second issue is the door paneling not replaced in its original state; the panel had three places that were bowing out, and its noticeable. So, unfortunately, my experience was less than stellar. So the moral of the story, I would recommend the shop as far as its repair expertise but be sure to let them know you would like the interior wiped down after the repair. Also, look not just at the exterior but the interior portion (like the paneling, etc..) as well before you leave the shop.I most likely will visit their competitors due to this experience.

I had a minor car accident last week and my insurance company recommend led them. Im glad. They were friendly, courteous, and true to their word. They said it would take 2-3 days to finish the repair and they were right. The staff was wonderful and the work was fantastic. Hopefully Ill never need to use them again but if I do, my car will be in good hands

Had the bumper of my car ripped off from a pole. The guys there didnt try to force me into getting new parts, since they were still good. I made sure to get a second estimate somewhere off of Shelbyville Rd. and they wanted tome to get new parts and charge $2,000 for it all. This place got it back on my car without any new parts for $159. Had a great experience, didnt feel taken advantage of, and they got the job done quickly.HIGHLY recommend.

Friendly and professional staff. Daniel buffed out a scuff mark for me as a courtesy and provided me an estimate. I have not comparison shopped yet to determine if their prices are in line or more than what they should be.

I typically wont write a review but I feel like I have to for SMI. Im not from Louisville and dont know anyone around the area so when my truck got backed into I only knew of the place I bought my truck to repair it. I took it and had an appraisal only to find out it was going to be $2500.00 to repair my truck bed from Bachman Chevrolet. The guy that hit me decided to turn it in on insurance since it was so high, his insurance contacted me and asked if I could take it to SMI to have it worked on because they was on their list of qualified people. I had no problem with that. I called SMI, same day they had me bring my truck in and drop it off. They called me the next day and said it would only cost $1000.00 to repair. I was very nervous and didnt see how it could go from $2500 at Bachman to less than half. They assured me about their work and told me about their lifetime warranty on repairs. So Im expecting a half done job and thinking Im going to be constantly having issues. When they called me and told me my truck was completed I went up there with great anticipation to tell them to redo my truck. As soon as I saw my truck I knew this place was legit, they made it look better than new and my truck is already new. I was shocked. This is the best, cheapest, honest and most caring place Ive ever found. They treat your vehicle like they would their own. The people are amazing from start to finish. Thank you SMI for my Leveling Kit and Bed repair. If ever Im in need again of collision repair you all for sure have my business. A+++ service.Chris Mattingly

Fuel door snapped off recent college graduate and my daughters VW Jetta two days before she was to start a her first real job some 300 miles from our home in Prospect KY. The local VW dealer had the part, but it was only primed. Dealer advised a week to send it out to an auto body shop to be painted. Daughter embarrassed by the missing fuel door.Called St Matthews Imports, Westport Rd, Louisville. These guys were great! We picked up the part from the dealer Thursday mid-day, brought it to St Matthews Imports to be painted. It was ready next day and a perfect match. The fuel door is back on the VW and my daughters now off to her new job. The people at St Matthews Imports were both willing and able to help us when others could not or would not. As a father, I cant thank them enough. They did not take advantage of the urgency of our situation; price very reasonable.Id encourage anyone who is driving around with dents, scratch, missing pieces, etc. to call the very capable and caring people at St Matthews Imports and ask them to help you fix that embarrassment youve been driving around town in.
