Miscommunication/lack of communication on when appliance would be delivered and didn’t even provide a manual for the dishwasher after I waited seven months! Appliance is days old - so working great - just need to figure out the dry cycle and this extra part I was left with!
I’ve shopped here and Mile High before. While Mile High is good- these guys (especially Kevin) are excellent. Very forthcoming on lead times, willing to go the extra mile on specific questions, and super reliable staff. If you want the kitchen of your dreams- this is the place to start!
I loved my entire experience with specialty appliances! From the start they offered me a beverage, asked what my budget was. Showed me many options and never tried to upsell me. Not to mention the installers Billy and his partner where incredible. They respected my time and where efficient and friendly. They also didnt mind my puppy checking out what they were doing. I highly recommend them and they will definitely be getting my future business.
We did a major kitchen remodel and upgraded several appliances. We worked with Kevin and he helped us pick some great things including a few things we’ve never had in a kitchen before. We’re nearing the end of the project. All the appliances arrived in time for installation, and we’ve only had one minor issue. When we notified Specialty and Kevin, we got scheduled to have a tech out really fast. I’m quite happy with the service, selection, and most importantly integrity I’ve seen working with SA. Woke up Thursday morning very stressed about not being able to find a refrigerator and ADA compliant dishwasher for the new break room at our business. After three days of appliance shopping at all the regular places, I was frustrated and exhausted with the process. Needing an ADA dishwasher limited out choices and I didnt want to spend a fortune on appliances for our break room but still wanted ones that were reliable and nice looking. Thanks to Covid shutdowns, etc., most of our options were not available until late November to mid January. Mixing and matching the two appliances had proved difficult to say the least. A friend recommended calling Specialty Appliance and Im so glad I did!! Izzy was AMAZING!! She really went above and beyond with her customer service. Initially, she didnt find what I needed in my price range. I thanked her for her time and went on with my day. About 30 minutes later, I was surprised when she called me back and said shed found a refrigerator meeting all my requirements, in stock, at an unbelievably great price! I was thrilled!! She could have just gone on with her day too but she didnt, she continued to search for what I needed even after Id moved on. Not only that, but she went back and found the perfect dishwasher for me too! I purchased both items and was pretty happy with delivery scheduled for a week later but asked to be put on a cancellation list for an earlier delivery if possible. They called me within an hour and rescheduled my delivery for the next day! I purchased the appliances on Thursday afternoon and they were installed and in use by Friday at 4:00pm. I couldnt be happier with the fantastic customer service I received from Izzy who was exceptionally sweet, kind, professional and a complete delight to work with. The delivery team was great too. Really nice guys who were meticulous and thorough with their installation. My first experience with Specialty Appliance totally won me over and you can bet Ill be back when I need something else! I’m so glad I found Specialty Aapliance. In the past, I’ve always bought my appliances from the bigger stores. I can honestly say I’ll never do that again. The buying process was super easy and Kevin helped us select the best appliances in our budget that met our needs. Finally, the install team is by far the best in the industry and they take pride in the work they do.
If there were a 10 I would rate SA a 10. All the employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Mike Layden, my sales person was outstanding. He was patient informative just outstanding. Answered all my questions, re: the Bosch Dishwasher and Fridge I was looking at, empathized when Bosch chose to stop shipping the Benchmark Dishwasher I wanted and help me find one of the other Benchmark series that was as close as possible. Cannot say enough good things. Mike also helped me earlier in the year with the LG washer/dryer I purchased. Fabulous folks.
We were referred to Specialty Appliance by our contractor who said they had a great selection and were very knowledgeable about the codes in our area.Our initial shopping experience was good. We purchased a full Thermador appliance package for our kitchen remodel, not super high-end but not inexpensive either.However, not until final inspection were we told that our vent hood was too powerful and we needed either a different vent hood with a lower CFM or do HVAC work to install make-up air. Our Specialty Appliance contact never talked to us about CFMs and whether or not the vent hood selected would be okay. When we went back to look for an alternative hood he stated that vent hoods are quite complicated . . . okay, so why didnt he share that info during our first visit???We ended up spending another $1,500 to do the make-up air since wed have to spend at least $1,000 - $2,000 on a different vent hood (Specialty did say they would try to work the price down for us $200 ish - um, okay thanks, not really that helpful).On top of this issue the beverage fridge was not installed correctly (open door alarm sounded constantly so we had to turn it off and not use it). It took Specialty Appliance 4 weeks to have someone come and repair/correct the install.I gave them 2 stars for a nice showroom and their staff is friendly, but that only goes so far. Our contractor even stated that he was really surprised and super disappointed with all the problems we had. Maybe this was all a fluke but Id say homeowners should get knowledgeable about codes in your area b/c relying on Specialty to supply that expertise isnt guaranteed. Maybe Mountain High is better?Here’s my vent hood. Notice that the stainless shroud doesn’t even match?!? Not sure if this is a Specialty or Thermador issue but it’s amateur. I could have gotten better at Home Depot.Update 10/23/20:Specialty reached out to us to correct the vent hood. While a 1-piece shroud is not feasible, I am very happy with the replacement. The seam is lower and it appears to be a single piece of steel.The installer commented that this was the first shroud hes installed like this (in 7+ years of doing this) but that it looks way better than the 2 pieces and the seam in the middle. Also, given that the unit vents to the outside theres no need for the side vents (to recirculate air back into the kitchen) that were on the original hood. This new shroud looks way cleaner, modern and high-quality. Im not sure why this isnt the default way to build/install a vent hood. Such a big difference!It looks great! Im very happy with the end product. Thank you to Specialty Appliance for making this right.
We recently remodeled our kitchen and needed some help making the right decisions with our appliances, fortunately we found the team at Specialty Appliance. We worked with Mike Zavattaro who was beyond exceptional. Mike had extensive knowledge on all the products they carry and provided us with great options to choose from. After visiting the showroom we took some time to do further research and see what we wanted to go with. In the mean time we had some questions for Mike and he again showed the focus on great customer service by being very responsive on all our questions and even providing further insight into our needs. Once we placed our order Mike kept in touch with us regularly to make sure when we were ready for delivery they would have appliances ready. The team delivering the appliances where very professional and made sure to protect our house as they moved everything in. Unfortunately there were a couple of defects in the fridge and stove from the manufacturer but the team took them back with them and worked with KitchenAid to get new products sent out. The fridge was on backorder and should have taken another 4-5weeks but again Mike worked on getting this moved up to only 1.5weeks. Needless to say we are very pleased with our appliances that were delivered and installed but even more impressed with the service, responsiveness, and professionalism by the whole team at Specialty Appliance. Thanks for making our kitchen project come to life.
My wife ordered a Samsung refrigerator from Specialty Appliance that we were told would take several weeks. We were very pleasantly surprised to get a call just a few days later letting us know the product came in early and Specialty Appliance was ready to deliver that Friday between 1-4. Even better, the delivery team called around 11 to say they were running ahead of schedule! They showed up early, made moving a new refrigerator in and an old one out look easy, and cleaned up after themselves. This was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend calling Specialty Appliance for any appliance needs.
I had a fantastic experience working with SA to get my new dishwasher. Izzy the salesperson was able to help me get the bosch I wanted faster than any other store even though it was heavily backordered, and I called around a lot of places. It was also the best quoted price. The delivery/install team was also great, from scheduling the delivery to installation I could not have asked for more professionalism or attention to detail. Purchased a Bosch refrigerator a couple of weeks ago and it was delivered on Tuesday afternoon. Nick and Thaddeus were the best team that I had ever had when it comes to deliveries. They both went above and beyond any general delivery and set-up. We are in the process of remodeling the kitchen and the cabinets had already been installed but were told they could remove the doors and move it through the dining room door. Unfortunately it would not fit and they had to strong arm it over the cabinets in a tight space. Together they came up with the solution and did not hear one complaint during the time. You should be very proud to have them both as part of your customer team.

Great experience! I needed to purchase a double oven and induction cooktop. I had done all my homework, read reviews, price checked all the big box stores, club store, and some other small appliance places. I came here last, not knowing anything about the place.The showroom was very nice, and I thought - wow, this place is going to be pricey. It is one of the few (only?) places with live appliances you could actually use. I was helped by Mike, who was very knowledgeable and not pushy. Long story short, they had LOWER prices than everyone else, including warranties! Excellent experience from beginning to end - and the next time I need appliances, it will be the FIRST place I go, not the last.
So odd, I never left a review! I visited the store, pleasant experience and lovely store. I do recall that my cellphone, noting my location, asked for a review, but I ignored it. Maybe some button got pushed in my pocket, thats why there was no text. Technology, sigh. So sorry. Have upgraded the stars. Store was beautiful with friendly service. Certainly a 5 star experience.
We worked with Kevin Duncan. Kevin was patient, he promptly answered several emails regarding our dishwasher purchase. Upon delivery of the dishwasher, we has to resolve an electrical outlet issue. Kevin helped us with the installation team. The installation team was excellent as well. I will never to to a big box store again to buy an appliance. Speciality Appliance is local, they are very friendly, low pressure and have great customer service. Support a local business!
Great Experience. Start to finish. The staff are so friendly and Marc and Ace were amazing during the install. They were sweet the my big dogs, got the job done professionally and timely, and were a pleasure to talk with. SUPER HAPPY with my experience all around.

Working with Rob Parker was very easy and helpful. His knowledge of the appliances was impressive and he was a huge help in helping us to choose the right one for our needs. Specialty appliance went above and beyond to get my refrigerater installed before Christmas. The young men who showed up for the installation were supposed to have a day off but came anyway because it was so close to Christmas. We highly recommend this company.

Jonathan Cregor and the SA team was awesome. After repeated issues with Linn Star Transfer (delivery service GE uses - and many of the big box retail) I called Specialty Appliance. Jonathan was able to get my delivery scheduled within a few days. The delivery team was professional and knowledgeable and made what seemed to be an unsolvable issue look like a simple fix. Go with the pros - saving a few bucks is not worth your time and frustration.
We went just to browse and Jonathan was very knowledgeable and professional! He listened to what we wanted and our price range and showed us very good options. Would definitely recommend this store 👍
After reading some of these reviews I just had to write a review about the GREAT experience we had with Specialty Appliance !! Im not sure how EVERY appliance you buy is a lemon?? sounds kind of strange - but We just remodeled our kitchen and bought ALL 9 of our appliances through Specialty and after dealing with all the different sub contractors the service and installation of the appliances was GREAT and Specialty Appliance was by far the BEST sub to work with!! (Jeremy at the Kitchen Showcase is awesome as well!) John went above and beyond when he installed our appliances which include a sub zero, wolf range, dishwasher, ice maker, steam oven, microwave, refer drawers, wine cooler and a range hood ( which looks BEAUTIFUL) !! THANK YOU to the sales staff and installation crew we could not be happier with the whole experience !! We get so many compliments on our new kitchen and I tell everyone to go to Specialty Appliance !!
I bought a stove, washer and dryer from Specialty Appliance. The prices for the units were at or below the big box stores and the customer service was excellent. I recommend this business to all my family and friends.
Rachelle was amazing to work with, really nice, very knowledgeable and really helped go through everything to make sure i got what i needed. The two guys who installed my washer and dryer were so nice and really took the time to make sure it got done right and even made sure it ran properly before leaving.
The sales side was very nice, as expected for high end appliances. The showroom had a great selection and the sales team was very helpful. Unfortunately thats where any semblance of service ended. The dishwasher was damaged on arrival and it has taken two weeks to get a new one. One of the over doors was severely crooked on delivery and the installers tried to fix it but it is still crooked with no answer as to when it will be fixed. There are other high end appliance stores in Colorado, do yourself a favor and find a better one.
Great showroom with excellent product selection and very helpful and friendly staff. Until you actually buy something. Our order was backordered and delayed twice, and the only reason we found out was because we asked. Then, they said, another month until they could get install. As this work was on the critical path for our remodeling project, this was a problem. They were able to get it done within a week but only after much browbeating. I expected more.

I ordered of 20,000.00 - yep, thats 20k - of appliances from Mike Z at Specialty. EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE that I ordered was a lemon. This would have been ok - stuff happens - except that Specialty had zero interest - yep, thats 0% interest - in helping me. Abysmal customer service. Abysmal. Ive spent the past 14 months dealing with service reps, passing the buck, and an utter disinterest in providing anything that remotely resembles customer service. What a massive disappointment.

Excellent Customer Service. I am remodeling my entire home.Dishwasher I was looking for was $300 more expensive through Lowes or Home Depot after delivery and install. In addition, because I live in the hills west of Boulder Lowes & Home Depot would not have a truck small enough to maneuver the tight roads. Izzy at SA got me the exact dishwasher I was looking for, at a lower price, and had no problem finding a truck to deliver the appliance to my home within a week of beginning my search for the item.Communication was exactly as advertised. I received a call confirming delivery within 24h, another call when drivers were 30 minutes out, and a last call after installation to ensure I was happy with the overall experience.I honestly cant imagine a more perfect experience. For this reason I will be returning to SA for my refrigerator, range, washer and dryer, and anything else I may need that they can provide.
