As a woman who knows very little about appliances, let alone parts, I was very skeptical going to a smaller business like this and by myself. I am SO glad that I did though! My friend’s heater went out during the coldest part of winter and I had to help her find this part. All I had was a picture of what I was looking for and I had absolutely no other information to give this man to help me, except the make of her HVAC. All other big companies would take weeks to order this part and she had already ordered it from Amazon and it arrived to her in pieces, broken. This man was a God-send! He saw the picture, heard my story, knew exactly what we needed and had it in stock! I will never forget my wonderful experience here and will forever recommend this business for any appliance/parts needs!
Thanks for the help today had my part in stock will definitely be back hopefully not to soon. If you need appliance parts this is the place. Thanks
Horrible. The employee was highly condescending and arrogant. In such volatile rudeness He asked for the model nimber and as I was seekingn it I found the type of item I needed and told him. Cankerously he tells to uimself outloud to where I car hear him as he is getting the item that if I dont have the model number to walk out the door. If it was not due to the Google Website requiring a minimal 1 star rating I would have bestowed upon him a 0 or negative 5 stars for the man crude and errant behavior. I implore readers to avoid such unkindly anti welcoming customer service.
Very poor customer service. The person working seemed annoyed at the fact that some one came into their place of business. I wont go into detail but I decided to take my business elsewhere. I for one prefer supporting local small businesses but wont do business here.
Had what I needed at a great price. Hes been looking to hire someone for a while now. This is a vanishing craft. Good ppl
Their phone was off the hook and when we arrive the man at the front was rude. For no reason even though we know what we were asking for. Will not be do business here. Plus prices are two times higher.
Its was awesome as always. My phone has been compromised. SOS. Somebody help me
Deserves ZERO stars. The guy is RUDE and does NOT deserve ANY customers. He basically called me slow because I didnt hear him clearly. I will NEVER grace this maskless business again. FYI, There is one on Taylor Boulevard.
Always friendly and they know their business.
They don’t even deserve 1 Star. Went to get a cord for my dryer and he acted like he was bothered that i was even there. Went back because cord looked burnt and he was very rude and refused to answer any questions or help me because I told him he wrong for being rude. Spoke with owner and he was not very helpful. Seems like they don’t care about their customers. I’m all for buying from local businesses but I will Not buy from this one again. Ridiculous
Wonderful staff. Very knowledgeable about the parts.
They have always been very helpful and very informative during my two experiences with them at Handy Man on Dixie Hwy.
Cant find the right part then you didnt come here. For the past 30 years they never let me down. And for the guy that said over priced. I call BS parts are not cheep, go to Marcone if you want over priced but they wont have the right part anyway.
My mom n dad used his store now i have for 20 years great place always friendly
Great prices and service
Was very happy with the service here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was reading the other comments about the phone not being answered. You have to understand that lots of people come here with parts and pictures trying to get help and explanations about problems. If they walked away from the customers in store every 5 seconds to give the same attention to phone calls, no one would receive the excellent service. Come by the store for world class service.
Took capacitor in with me from central Air. Checked bad got the same one 35mfd 5mfd 30 dollars with tax fixed and done....
The guy seemed pretty strange. He was talking about wanting to die. I think thats pretty odd to tell a customer not to mention his lack of knowledge customer service skills sucks. I give this place 2 thumbs down.
Fast, friendly and very reasonable
Very helpful business owner goes out of his way and takes time with each customer. He makes sure your part that you are wanting to replace is bad before selling you the new part. If you ever have an issue with customer service at either store he would like to hear from you. Call him at the jeffersonville IN location his name is Joe very friendly and helpful.
They dont even deserve a star but had to give one to write a review. I called 5 times a day maybe more and was told Please Hold and after about 4 or 5 minutes of holding they hung up. After about 4 days of trying to get through and being put on hold then hung up on. They will never ever get my business and I will discourage anyone not to purchase or deal with them period!
They were very helpful and knowledgeable when I couldnt figure out what was wrong with my dryer. Awesome place of business and I will return for any future needs.
Guy had what I needed in stock, but needs to learn how to speak to people. Sounds like a reoccurring thing from reading other comments. Went somewhere else.
I got a switch for my dryer here that I could not find anywhere else. Now it works again just fine.
I went to Handy Man Appliance and bought a replacement fuse at a cost of $18 for my dryer, ran one load and it blew. The thermostat is cycling properly the vent is not stopped up and has good airflow to the outside. I took the dryer apart and cleaned all the lint from it, cleaned the vent line, and cleaned the lint screen with a toothbrush. I went back to the store and was sold another fuse for an additional $18. It ran for one load and blew during the second. I spoke with someone from another part store in town, Derby City, who said that it could be a bad batch of fuses and that they should warranty it and provide a replacement. Upon returning to Handy Man I was told by a rather sarcastic employee that they do not provide any type of warranty on the part and that I probably had a dirty lint screen, which I told him had been throughly cleaned prior to the second replacement. From now on I will do my business with Derby City Appliance where they provide a 90 day warranty on their parts, also the price of the part was cheaper.
Had the part I needed in stock, Today. Found it on amazon, but preferred not to wait. Knowledgeable and friendly.
Very knowledgeable, helped me fix my dryer and sold me the right parts
Nice guy....will help you trouble shoot...and fix it for less....you need the model number and any identification numbers for the appliance
Always great to have handyman out here. Any appliance part you need he either has or can get.
Handy Man has almost everything you could need. Service with a smile.
Mike was a Great help. Only place in the city to have the part.
Walked in with my broken part, the man double checked by testing the power, left with a new part.. Great experience friendly Convo even tho he was busy
Over priced parts and not the best service. Acts like you are bothering them.
Called four times and was put on hold every time even after saying no. Terrible service and I guess they don’t want business!!!!!
Wont answer the phone, so I rode up there needing a hose, and lazy dude needs model #. Wont be back.
Great technican with the right parts
How about posting business hours on the web? Phone number is useless if you have to guess when youre open..
Very friendly and quite obviously an expert in their field!
Little over priced I purchased a Pease of wire 6:29
The rude guy wouldnt even sell me a part
Be ready to pay $30 for a $7 part.
