Got mango moose cake ordered for ten ppl, one to two weeks ahead. The day of pickup, was Halloween morning. Paid >50$ with tips etc. Only to find, stale cake. The bread part of the cake was so dry and brittle. I was embarrassed as I got this cake for our friends birthday party. I was suppose to get cake for five families and I cant emphasize enough how bad this cake was. Its a French bakery and unlike French cuisine sweets, it was loaded with tons of sugar. I pardon the sugar but the stale cake...I wont go there again! So sad!!!
They have some of the most unique salads. I had a salad with grilled vegetables on it and it was delicious. I wish I would have thought to take pictures. The desert was a little bit stale but all of the deserts looked very beautiful
Hello, this is a cool bakery, plenty of seating with a nice assortment of desserts. The guys working there (assume they were the owners) were super nice….it was my daughter’s birthday and I bought a couple little desserts and brought candles with me purchased from Whole Foods across the street, but had no lighter or matches. I asked the owner if he had a lighter, and when I told him why, he gave me his lighter right away with a big smile on his face! Thanks bro!
Great spot! Love coming here. Im lowering the score to 4 stars because there are flies everywhere in the place probably because they hardly ever pickup plates or clean tables in a timely manner. That being said ita definitely me favourite and everyone I bring here ends up loving it too! Staff is great also!
Service was weird/rude when I went there but the food was worth it. Pastries are yummy. A bit pricey though
Good brunch spot. Cappuccino and chicken breast, mozzarella, tomato and pesto (#3) sandwich was great. Mediterranean crepe was okay. Delicious cookies from bakery, sold by weight.
I got a short coffee and a cranberry muffin. The coffee was very strong and flavorful. The cranberry muffin had a nice, heavy exterior with a warm and soft interior. It tasted fresh and was not too sweet with a good tang. Food was priced appropriately for an upscale cafe.
I really wanted to love this place, but while the staff is amazing and friendly, the food is pretty good. The bread my sandwich came on didnt seem fresh OR French, the side salad was from a bag mix, and the fries had that awful coating on them to make them seem crispier. The pastries were also okay ... just not wonderful. Great location and vibe though.
Wow. Really enjoyed my breakfast. Had the Don Corlleone crepe. Savory and salty crepe. It was so good. Can’t wait to have it again. Potatoes were crispy, but not overdone. Coffee was wonderful. Great breakfast. Fast and friendly service. Will definitely go again
Expensive but very worth it, especially given that several of the dishes come with a large, warm croissant. The Eggs Florentine is my favorite.
Walkable from W hotel. Delicious croissant and fresh squeezed OJ came with my eggs Benedict. Husband loved his Greek omelette. Very friendly staff.
I just had sushi around the corner at Ami Sushi and now its time for dessert. Elysee Bakery has some of the freshest pastries Ive ever tasted and Max is a great host. Its hard to choose what to get every time but I go to my old standby which Is the pineapple cake which melts in your mouth. Enjoy, Yum!
I had the Florentine Benedict. Amazing!!! It came with potatoes, OJ and fresh fruit. Super Yummy!
Elysee always has fresh, healthy food! I ordered a Sicilian Chicken Salad yesterday. The staff were so friendly & added an extra French Roll and some cookies to my bag without me asking. :’)
Very delicious cakes. Good coffee. Recommend if you are nearby.
I used to come to Elysee years ago and it is still a wonderful dining experience today. Great breakfast, the omelet was perfect, the potatoes cooked just right, the bread, oh the bread! Baked in-house and so very, very tasty. Had a croissant and a danish for good measure, both delicious. The coffee was fresh with not a bit of bitterness. And the fresh squeezed orange juice had the perfect amount of sweetness. We will be back and soon!I must add this that I forgot to mention: the customer service was stellar! Those working on 3/7/2020 Saturday at lunch time were just wonderful, sincerely helpful and pleasant!
Food was good but we had to wait so long and they forgot one order,we had visit Paris on the past and had a great time.
Please pick up the plates after we eat. I study there and the plates will be there for hours and start to attract flies. The cleaner comes out once every 3 hours and there are ALWAYS dirty plates taking up tables. Why are there flies all over the pastries too?????
Decent-tasting coffee, a lot of pastry choices, nice indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff.
Great food! Had sandwiches, coffee and pastries. Yummy 😋
One of my favorite places to enjoy some great espresso at one of their sidewalk tables
Lovely lady at the counter was very helpful and thankful for my business - which gave me confidence to order the salmon Benedict which was very tasty! Perfectly done! With side of fruit and crispy good potatoes! Plus it came with a buttery croissant (in addition to the muffin of the Benedict) and orange juice and hot coffee!!! Needless to say it was a delightful brunch that was enough tasty food for the whole day. Thank you thank you thank you!
GREAT RESTAURANTS. BEST WISHES TO ALL OF YOU GUYS.
Came here for brunch on a Saturday and everything was great. I had the eggs benny and a cappuccino and everything tasted great. The pride seems high, but their portions justify it. My benny came with a croissant, potatoes, and fresh fruit.Staff were super friendly as well! And the environment is very relaxing!
Had a great brunch experience at Elysee. Service was great and food was tasty. Will definitely be returning to try all their lovely cakes!
Great place to get some work done, with power outlets. Latte was tasty as well
Such a wonderful place with kind staff! Girls in front are always kind and helpful... Best pastries and breakfast in town! I enjoy coming to Elysee- a place with such good energy and people!
I had a custom made crepe beakfast, and it was perfect. You can choose from a huge variety of meat and veggie fillings. Came with delicious, crispy but non-greasy, diced oven-fried potatoes, and a twist of orange. Beautiful cakes and cookies were under the glass, but I resisted, for the sake of reducing. The fresh-squeezed orange juice was popular; it comes in a generously sized cup. Best to order cooked items ahead. As you would expect, this is not a microwave kind of place.
Delicious pastries and nice lattes. Love their breakfast omelettes. Highly recommended
The wait was extremely long to get a cup of tea. I understand were in a pandemic, but theres no reason not to have a back up person to help with small orders. I cant comment on the pastries because I didnt have any, but to be honest, they looked ok. They didnt wow me like in the past. I have always been a fan of Elysee, so maybe this was just an off day for them.
We love fresh French food and French bistros so we were attracted by the name of the place, the boulangerie par excellence sign and the exterior. We had the Elysee omelette, which looked and tasted like a mediocre diner omelette - it was almost completely devoid of any flavour, the roasted potatoes were dry and the toast came with your standard American jam.The vibe inside was strange, maybe they were short on staff. It wasnt helped by a man (perhaps the manager?) who kept talking to and distracting our server while she was helping us, which is probably why she put the wrong milk in our coffee. There certainly wasnt anything French about either the food or the whole experience.
Nice deserts. Good atmosphere
I had a pricey oddly spiced lemonade. Sumac? Wasnt bad.
They know French & deliver it without pretense.
Elysee has Delicious cakes and cookies that are perfect for any occasion. They also have a beautiful assortment of pastries. My favorites are the fruit tart, the chocolate dipped cannolis, and the dark chocolate croissants. I love going there for a coffee and pastry. Very friendly and helpfulStaff also!
The cookies were delicious! Perfect little bite for coffee.
Cake was good (4).The girl behind the counter seemed more interested in talking on the phone than answering customer greetings and being polite.
Rudest service I have experienced in a while. I guess it is okay to show poor attitude to a mixed couple with a child. Please avoid and spend your money elsewhere.
Capuchino was pretty watered downed and the coffee used to make it was of a bad quality. I bought a Napoleon and a Cannolli to go and they were awful,They were hard and old! I also bought two croissants and those were fine! I will not patronize this bakery again!
A convenient place to study and read. A couple of power outlets. Tables and seatings arent quite comfortable tho. Service is just ok. Not very friendly. Pastry here seems quite popular. You will find quite many using laptops here. Wifi is ok not very strong but still does its work. Cozy vibe and has outside seating too. Street meters are around.
Absolutely adore this place. Affordable sweets and best mocha I have ever had. I go here way to much, but I cant help myself.
Just as I remembered: good coffee, good desserts, attentive service.
Great food and coffee and atmosphere, but spotty wifi (had to switch to my mobile hotspot to handle a video call) . definitely would return
Super super great coffees and treats! best iced mocha i have ever had!! nicest owner as well and super cute and fancy inside!! absolutely loved this place!
The quintessential cafe and patisserie. I would get the strawberry shortcake.
Exceptional food and extremely pet friendly! The service went above and beyond by setting a table for us in the shade and bringing our dog water. Everyone loves dogs including the patrons, who seem to be loyal to the bakery. A great location in Westwood Village is a plus!
Very friendly staff. Highly recommend!
Wonderful traditional French pastries. The eggs benedict combos were wonderful. The eggs were poached perfectly and topped with some awesome hollandaise. The OJ was fresh squeezed and the croissants were amazing. Definitely going back.
Good food. Best Latte in LA
Great coffee and pastry. Very friendly staff.
Unusually good tea and iced coffee. Mixed bag for large selection of bakeries
Both times that Ive gone to get coffee in the morning, the woman behind the counter had her mask off and quickly put it on when I came in. Additionally, both times I saw the other staff wearing their masks below their noses. The second time I saw that the door to their baked goods was left open, which I wouldnt care about if we werent in a pandemic and there hadnt been visible fruit flies on some of the tarts. Sorry to give you a bad review, but if it gets you guys to wear your masks itll be well worth it.
Havent tried anything but ambiance and staff were nice.
Friendly service. The steak sandwich was a bit under seasoned, the coffee also great
Good breakfast spot. Salmon Benedict was tasty. European/French Vibe. Covid friendly.
Really nice staff, great menu, decent prices for excellent breakfast. The pastries are magnificent. I walked in and felt like I was in France. Definitely will go back next time Im in LA.
A little spencil prices but everything delicious
Not at all a french croissant!!!They need to go to France to learn how to cook a REAL french croissant!!!!!Horrible!!!
The Eggs Benedict is an amazing deal that comes with enough for almost 2! Get a side of French Toast or Croissants and share for a cheaper option! If not an order of the French Toast with it surely hits the spot! Everything was perfect from the OJ to the potatoes!
Absolutely loved this place. I was so happy that they had mini pastries so I was able to taste almost everything without overindulging!
Great desserts and great prices. Friendly service!
Wonderful food, wonderful ambiance. Best croissants lve ever had.
Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Somehow was $20. Guy walks in after me and orders the same thing and get his food 10 minutes before me. Worker says he must have “ordered it through postmates”. Really bad service for too much money.
Amazing place to study or get work done. The employee Erica is super nice and very professional. Food is great too! :)
Gross. Coffee was OK but my avocado toast was terrible. And they forgot half of the ingredients. This might be OK for a drunk college kid but I wouldn’t recommend for anybody else.
Chocolate chip cookies were old and dry. The creme brulee was pretty good but didnt have the burnt crust.
Elysee has Some of the BEST coffee in all of Los Angeles.
Best croissants Ive ever had, all the food is wonderful.
The presentation is very nice as a French sidewalk venue. The food was average but ok. The coffee was good.
Cappuccino was delicious, chocolate covered white cake layered eith coffee creme was moist with a well balanced flavour, apple strudel was perfectly seasoned, and the fruit tart was almost exactly what I grew up eating as a Friulana. Not too sweet, ripe fruits, flavorful custard cream. The employees were incredibly friendly, too.
Super duper delicious, tried this place out today and had the lox on bagel and eggplant in pita. The eggplant in pita was tasty with the hummus, egg, egg plant and israeli salad. Definitely going to come back for more. The food was served very quickly and warm.
Excellent food and good service. The breakfast items and sandwiches were amazing. Had the egg white omelet and my son and wife had sandwiches. The sandwiches were huge and made for a great treat the next day for leftovers. Baked goods are great too.
Love the selection of pastries and entrees. They also have various one off items of the day.Clean unisex and a dedicated womens only bathroom. Lots of tables indoors and outdoors. The staff are always nice and lots of smiles.Enjoy
Great place to eat. Best bake goods in town. Very tasty foods and the price is very good. They even have vegetarian options. Best breakfast, lunch and dinner selection. Brunch all day! Ask for Natalia. Her customer service is so wonderful.
I know that this place has been here a long time, but I just discovered it. What a find! It sits on a corner, and the room is inviting and casual. Ill return soon.
Overpriced and poor quality of food and attention to detail.
Elysee has been an institution in Westwood and for good reason, they serve the best coffee in Westwood and their selection of pastries is dangerous if you have a sweet tooth. Plenty of seating available which makes Elysee a great place to get some work done, read or enjoy a meal with friends. They serve a full menu of food which, like their coffee and pastries, will not disappoint.
Simple, clean place with pizza by the slice and whole. Very tasty. Ingredients seemed fresh. Not much cheese or sauce so you can really taste the toppings
Terrible service. Not worth it.
A great place to get work done especially at night.
Phenomenal bakery only blocks away from the campus of University of California Los Angelos offering a swath of delicious baked good from made daily carrot cake and new york style cheesecake. The breakfast options are fantastic from eggs Benedict, sandwiches, or made to order crepes. The coffee taste as if it was roasted in house every morning.
Fast and great service with great quality Dessert.
First time I must have been hungry, it seemed good - egg sandwich. The 2nd time two of us felt ill. The breakfast sandwich was made with what seemed microwaved bread - or day old, it was a little tough - and the eggs were not cooked in butter. The cheese was not French at all and just the pre-sliced kind you can get in a grocery store. The cookies did not taste as though made with butter either. Tasted like a substitute. Awful. I tasted each and then threw them away. The Florentine was not crisp.
