You cannot go wrong with a burger or sandwich from The Habit. I have yet to be disappointed from any The Habit restaurant as all of the ones I have visited are top notch! The burgers are always fresh and juicy and the fries are fresh and crispy. Really good value for the amount of food you get.
We went to the Santa Monica habit and it was a treat for sure. One of the standout things that made me feel very comfortable about ordering was that the staff seem to really be on top of safety protocols with masks and gloves. While we were there the manager was making sure that all countertops were properly cleaned. One of the things that really impressed me was that the cashier, after handling cash, removed her gloves and grabbed a new pair of gloves before she started grabbing food for waiting customers. Theres nothing more disgusting than a cashier who doesnt wash their hands after touching cash and coins and then touches food. This was awesome and we applaud the Santa Monica habit restaurant with a standing ovation. Our burgers were also very delicious. Highly recommended spot!
4 star as I need to go more. Also, this is a new location. Time will tell if the quality of service and food holds.

So excited to have a Habit Burger Grill on the Westside now. Tonight we ordered from the Santa Monica location for the first time and were truly impressed with the service. I ordered online and our order was ready in 8 minutes and 42 seconds! Unbelievable. We ordered for curbside pickup due to covid 19 and thr staff was amazing. We were greeted outside by name our order was packaged sitting on a tray. The staff member had full PPE on as did we. This could not have been more amazing given how we have been sheltering in place and having something fun for dinner (and not having to cook) was a welcome break. The Char Burger was delicious as usual. The Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich was crisp with a great balance of spice and not greasy. The garlic fries were served with sauce on the side to prevent mushy fries to go. As always the half fries and onion rings were delicious 😋. Somehow to habit can serve amazing fresh charred burgers for less than McDonalds. The trip tip and tri tips salads are always a favorite but tonight was fun to have share two different sandwiches. We were stuffed and couldnt even finish everything. Its no wonder the habit has been bringing Socal great burgers and more since 1969. If you want a great place to grab food And feel safe during these times you must visit and support the habit burger grill.
I love this place!!Southwest BBQ chicken salad is the BOMB. Too many ingredients to list: Plenty of chicken corn cabbage bacon feta onions tomatoes BBQ sauce and ranch - I prefer regular ranch to the lime ranch it comes with. It goes well with the BBQ sauce. Yummy!Came here for pre-opening event couple weeks ago, and it was awesome. Came back for a salad.Ive been to others, this one is new and smaller than most Ive seen (but I believe they have outside seating as well... Not certain), but that doesnt change the food! Clean, friendly, parking and awesome burgers! Ask for yours on grilled sourdough... So much better and no upcharge!! Or just try the Santa Barbara Char: double cheeseburger with avocado on toasted sourdough. Its the best.
We had Habit burgers at work Wednesday. Very good and the fried green bean are the best I have ever eaten. Forget the fries. Go for the fried green beans👍.
Always fresh. The Santa Barbara Char is the star of the menu - it’s s decent sized portion of avocado on your burger that definitely helps mitigate any burger run guilt.

It is a little embarrassing how many times I have been here. Everything is pretty good. I usually get the chicken club sandwich and either a coffee milkshake or green bean french fries which is a lot of food. Ordering is easy on their website and food is always ready fast a good quality. There is a reason why they are expanding so fast, because it is so good!
They went above and beyond to make my little guys happy with a couple extra candy hamburgers to offering to split their shake (which I was just gonna make them share).
The main problem with this place when you order takeout and pay ahead is they always tell you its going to take 10 minutes. Most of the time it takes between 10 and 15 minutes but on occasions like today it took 25 minutes. When I asked Alex the employee at the front why they told me 10 minutes when it was going to be closer to 30 he said and I quote I dont know and I dont care. So as far as Im concerned this place isnt worth a penny if their employees treat customers like that I wont be going there ever again.

I like the Habit because it gives you the option to have a tuna sandwich and I didnt know that.
The past two times that I have visited this location, they have completed my order incorrectly. It’s almost as if the cooks are not thoroughly reading the order. This last time, I allowed them to correct my order, then the cook got it wrong a second time. At this point I had already waited 20 minutes for an order that was supposed to be delivered curbside and that didn’t even happen. I had to go inside to grab my order in which I didn’t even leave with. I asked for a refund and they couldn’t even do that part correctly. I’m not sure what is going on with this location, but it was a horrible experience.The cooks acted as if they did not understand instructions.

Burger and chicken was good but holy the fries are bad, I saw the well done option and I didnt realize it was required for them to not be inedibly soggy. Threw out more than half our fries.

I frequent the habits all over LA county but this one gave me the worst experience out of them all. Stay clear away from this place if you are used to excellent service from other stores. This store got my order wrong and showed minimal care to make things right. the salad was so skipped and little that I feel I got kipper from how little they gave me.Ill never go to this location again. It seemed like the crew was fighting with each other because of the rush. The kitchen people had bad attitudes towards whoever was assembling the orders which made everything worse. The line was so backed up that I waited 30- 40 mins just to have my order wrong. never again. Absolute trash of a store

Delightful burger and fries
Habit Burger is traditional, nothing new or innovative but they do an excellent job. The fries are perfect, top notch. My BBQ grilled chicken sandwich on grilled sourdough was delicious. My daughter also liked her veggie burger and of course my sons burger was great. They had a pumpkin milkshake with real pumpkin that was amazing, my kids loved it!

Great food but the call service is horrible, waited 8 minutes, I’m here working trying to get food but it’s hard when you’re on the clock, and they couldn’t even make food for a Essential worker, my time was wasted, my break time and now I will be hungry tonight because of the idiotic automated call service. Thanks a lot, and I work close by so I thought it would’ve made things easier but I guess not, wanted my time

I love the food but unfortunately tonight was one of those nights that a restaurant being family friendly give me a headache. Worked all day came in to enjoy my dinner and had to screaming kids at the table behind me. But thats what you must expect when you live in Santa Monica. Love their food will take it to go from now on.

Fast food restaurant with many hamburgersand fries. It is a great place to drop by to get food.We had the kids chicken nuggets, the classic charburger, the veggie burger, and tuna burger. All were great.
Staff needs more training. Ordered burgers and salads. The salads did not come with dressing. Who packs a salad, or several salads, with no dressing. Dry salad is not the way to go.Please have your staff pay more attention to detail.Eating a dry salad is worse than fries without salt and ketchup.

First time at Habit...burger was great, clean place and friendly service. The reason I gave only 3 stars is because I ordered the Tempura green beans which was supposed to come with Shiracha sauce as advertised on the scrolling menu screen. But was told that it is only offered at certain locations. Question is, why advertise on a screen for everyone to see but dont have it. 😥 unacceptable.

A really good, cheap hamburger place. I love the tempura green beans -- I always get caesar salad dressing to go with them and its soooo good. Ive tried their salads and other sandwiches too. Theyre all good. One of the better chains out there.
Its not what i would call a full-on gourmet burger place, but i feel like they put more effort into their burger assembly than i would expect from fast food. I would choose them over McDs, Burger King, or Carls Jr. for burger quality.
The Habit is habit forming. Love there Veggie Burgers and that they use fresh cucumbers instead of pickles. Heightens the flavor.
Good burgers. Should change their policy of not allowing substitution of shakes for the included meal drink and just paying the difference. Instead they charge full price and dont give the drink as well. Bad biz.

I love Habit burger no matter the location. This one is very clean (seriosly cleanest restroom in any fastfood restaurant) and cozy. If you want a healthy and delicious sandwich, order the tri-tip and ask them to lettuce wrap it. Youll love it.

The BBQ bacon Char burger is super good. Ive tried some of their other establishments in the past. And what prevented me from giving a full 5 stars was the bad service. The reps dont provide ketchup or anything. They act like they are doing you a favor. And dont ever try to pick up your food, they do not start making the order, until you arrive and then you have to wait another 15 minutes. So why order pickup?! Just dont.. But the burgers and chicken sandwiches are good, so i keep going back

I have been in other locations and love their burgers. Burger in this location was good too. I tried this location today which is very closed to where i leave. They gave me a wrong buzzer so my burger and fries waited on the counter for over 10 mins and they realized later when they realize, they told me if I want them to warm the burger and I said I rather get a new one witht the fries. They literally put the same fries in the oil and brought it back to me because it was super oily like i have never had before. Seriously, was it worth it for a fries? Not a good first impression and service except the older lady who were very nice and polite.

Im bad to find best place near my airing and wasnr exoectinf it to be a burger place, but this ended up being it.After work id get a charburger with cheese (and no pickle pr grilled onions) with a large strawberry limeaid. Spumds boring bit they do both so well I ate there ablut 20 times in a month. Id say its lile in n out just a different take. Do not ger the burger without cheese I did that on doordash on accident one of those times and was disappointed. The cheese they use is great. Javent jad a chance to goto one up here yet bit I plan to today. I would recommend this to anyone in the area. A lot of health food around and this place was a nice thing to have in the mix.
