The Los Angeles Eye Care Optometry Group is a very professional company. I recently had a routine eye appointment with Dr. Lynn Matsuda. I was first taken care of by a technical assistant named Stephanie. Stephanie took care of the preliminary eye scans and tests. She was very efficient, thorough and quick. She then asked if I had any recent eye problems and I mentioned that I had “floaters” in my left eye that popped up in the last 6 months. Stephanie noted that and passed the information on to Dr. Matsuda. Dr. Matsuda has always provided me a thorough and comprehensive examination. After the standard tests, she focused on the floater problem. Her tests provided a preliminary diagnosis that I had a “horseshoe” tear in the left retina. This was a serious problem because untreated, it could have led to a detached retina. She explained how the tear should be handled which involved a retinal specialist. She said that the problem should be handled immediately if possible. She instructed the administrative person (Ryan) who works at the front desk to set up an appointment with their Retinal Specialist as soon as possible. Ryan did a great job and secured an appointment for the next day at a facility close to my residence. The next day, I met with the Retinal Specialist, and he confirmed Dr. Matsuda’s original diagnosis of the retinal tear. He was able to use a laser to seal or staple the tear that same day. Because of the quick treatment, the chances of a detached retina from the tear were greatly reduced. Because of the care provided by the good people of Los Angeles Eyecare I avoided potentially serious damage to my eyes for which I am grateful. To top it all off, Los Angeles Eyecare is the only group of all my current doctors who still validates parking. I would recommend them very highly.

I was very impressed with the sanitation procedures in the office. They use state of the art equipment. The frame selection is vast with various price ranges and they give a 20% discount when you purchase the frames and lenses there!Dr. Lynn Masuda is exceptionally personable and knowledgeable in her craft. Very thorough and concerned about the health of your eyes. The staff is well trained and friendly. The office runs on time and another plus is parking is easy and they validate! Definitely a 5 star experience!!

There’s never a wait so they stick with the appointment times. It’s also empty so you don’t have to worry about social distancing being a problem. You park in a Joe’s parking structure conveniently located next door and they validate so you don’t have to worry paying an outrageous price to park your car.

I adore the comfort and professionalism of LA EyeCare OG and can’t recommend them enough to new patients. Dr. Kame and his staff (especially Judy!) have always been thoroughly welcoming and visits always end in smiles with sushi and Little Tokyo shops right across the street!

LA Eye care isnt like one of those random bus stop dentistry billboards that promises great treatments. (Are those still around? Hehe.) they actually care (yay!).Ive been going to this office in Little Tokyo for about two years and nothing but outstanding work. Ive been in twice this past month and it was extremely easy to make an appointment, I didnt have to wait long to be seen and the staff is superb!My doctor is Desi, the kindest doctor I have ever encountered. I highly recommend her, she has a light touch and can explain any treatment you might need and answer your questions. Very knowledgeable!Great work guys!

We have been coming to this optometry clinic ever since moving to Los Angeles. The doctors and staff are friendly and caring. They have a great variety of frames including rarer brands, like my favorite, DITA. They will handle billing your insurance for you. They also give parking validation for the nearby garage which is a nice benefit.

The office decor is stylish, warm, and welcoming. Professionalism and the caring attitude of staff is unparalleled. Testing to evaluate the health of my eyes was efficient and completely thorough.Their selection of frames is huge--something for everyone. Individual attention and invaluable suggestions were given by an experienced optical coordinator, who helped me chose frames that are compatible with my facial features.I will continue to trust all my eye care needs to Los Angeles EyeCare. My friend referred me to this place after I lost glasses I purchased 6 months prior from another retailer. I already had my prescription, so I called LA Eyecare and made an appointment to look at frames. When I arrived, I let them know I was just looking, and spent about an hour trying on different styles (their selection is expansive!) While browsing, multiple employees checked in with me to ensure I didn’t have any questions. After I found the frames I wanted, the woman who helped me was courteous, broke down all the out of pocket costs after my insurance, and explained the warranty coverage. I picked up my glasses today - about a week later - (from the same woman who assisted the first time). She cleaned them and offered me their cleaning spray to take home, and again went over the warranty with me. I’d recommend this place to anyone! Friendly, efficient, and informative.

Have been seeing Dr. Kame for years now. Hes always friendly and very efficient in terms of time. The staff there are all very warm and greet you when you first come in. The office is tidy and theres a Netflix show streaming onto the TV in the waiting area.

Dr. Matsuda and her staff take care to explain the meaning of different types of tests and interpret the results in a way that I can easily understand and make the best decisions for my eye health. They also made my visit very smooth from beginning to end with minimal time waiting between rooms.

I have been to this location and the Lamar location. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I had Brian assist me, I ordered some frames that didnt fit me well. He helped me get some frames that fit much better and cut my lenses for me in like 20 minutes. Overall great service.

Great visit for my annual eye exam and to get new contacts. The front desk staff was immediately welcoming and the entire staff was very nice and informative the entire time. I really enjoyed this visit compared to other offices because Dr. Paula took the time to explain the results of the various eye health screenings. She went into detail about each result and why its important. Definitely making this my new eye doctor.

I’ve been getting my exams here for decades, at least for 36 years. I was referred by a coworker who also gets her exams here.I’ve been thoroughly pleased with the care I have received. The staff feels like family to me whenever I visit. I would highly recommend getting an examination and fitted for contacts or corrective lenses at this location.

I had a scratched cornea and no insurance and was preparing for a bumpy ride as far as treatment and pricing but LA EyeCare Optometry was amazing. They got me in for an appointment right away, addressed the issue, and got me a contact bandage which made my eye feel 1000x better immediately. Im on the second day of wearing the bandage and my eye is starting to heal. Going in for a check up tomorrow. Very impressed with the level of care and ease of addressing the issue! I was in LA on company business and had a bad reaction to my contacts. I had a meeting at 9am and wanted to get into the doc as early as possible. They have 7am appts two days a week... again 7am appts!!I called right at 7 and they had me in by 7:30 with a full diagnosis and script before 8am. I am so grateful for their service. Everyone was so kind and knowledgeable. The doctor spent time looking over everything and answered all my questions.They took my medical insurance but offered me the option to pay without billing my insurance as I was a one time patient. So I got a discount on the service, paid, and was out the door. I loved having the options.Highly recommend!

The staff and Dr. Matsuda were so incredibly nice and professional! (Not the easiest feat considering my appt was at 7am!) I also appreciate the time they took to explain what each step of the examination process was for and gave me great advice on how to maintain my eye health.As a first time patient, I appreciate that they email the new patient packet at the time of booking with the option to either bring a print out of it with you, or fill and email back to the office, which is what I did. Great for saving time for sure.The office is clean and tidy, with a great selection of frames. The only con for me was that it was a tiny bit cold in the reception area. It was perfect in the exam rooms though! This is all just based personal preference, of course :)I had a great experience and will definitely recommend this optometry to friends and coworkers!

LA Eyecare Optometry Group gives the most thorough eye exam I’ve ever had. They use the most advanced equipment to provide the most complete test results. Everyone who works here is friendly, professional and well trained. Dr Matsuda is very experienced and very thorough. After all the imaging tests are completed, Dr Matsuda puts them up on a large computer screen to show you exactly what the tests show and explains everything. Convenient parking next door to the office is validated.

Professional, friendly, accommodating and fancy! Plus validated parking in little Tokyo? Loved my first visit.
