The coffee beverages at this place are tasty and better than Starbucks!!! I go there when I get paid for a delicious experience and to remind me of my favorite lady in the world who is from Mexico!!!
I am not a coffee lover, I think it tastes gross, perhaps smells good but thats it. But the lavender latte was amazing! Im sensitive to caffeine so I most typically get the lavender iced tea. Next time I get a coffee, it will be the horchata latte from here. I always drop by when Im in the area.
Always fabulous! Good coffee as well as good service. Their variety of ice tea OS wonderful too!
Coffee was no all that. Should have gone to 711 better. Customer service was good tho. Give u that much
Amazing drinks. I dont drink coffee but my husband loves their horchata latte. Its so good. I wish there was one closer to us. I have a their mango strawberry Fresca it is like a smoothie. Restroom available for customers and they have indoor and outdoor seating.
I like this coffee shop. Coffee there smells and tastes really good. Hot horchata latte is one of my favorites.
It was the first time there and I had the tres leches muffin and it was delicious, probably top 5 muffins I ever had!
I come here frequently, the staff are nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. It can use a little bit of tidying up, but itβs a cool place.
Parking is very limited but a good place to try different and delicious coffee. Iced caramel and horchata Frap ππβ€
Me and my friend we love boba very much, so every time we know a new place I have to try. Went there last week, I ordered the uji matcha milk tea with boba, of course. I LOVE their boba, its smaller than usual boba, but its very chewy, and a very good level of sweetness. This place will be in my pocket place for sure!!!
Came here for a sneeker doodle, was good
Friendly staff, good pricing, and nice environment.Along with indoor seating, they also have around three tables outside to relax on.
Best horchata latte ever. Location is fun too, itβs a weird setup where there is a basement style room in the cafe but itβs very clean and corner neighborhood coffee shop vibe-y.
The Rice and Beans Frappe they serve is to die for. I dont think Ive genuinely felt happy by just drinking something until I had this. The Tres Leches Muffin was warm and moist and I found it paired well with the cold frappe despite both being very sweet. Ill definitely come here again if I travel to LA in the future.
Something new u should try it Best coffee !
Customer service is average at best idk if they expect a tip with a whatever attitude just bcs, but to me a simple greeting will suffice even if they dont mean it, am not an everyday customer once every two months at best just glad I dont stop by often! Hope management has an international talk with their staff regarding attitude, eyes rolling and tone whenever serving patrons that choose to bring our business to your business...
Awesome, over priced but so is Starbucks. Great coffee.
It is so annoying how they donβt have a set time or an exact time that they stop using the expresso machine, they close at 10 pm but usually at 9:30 donβt want to serve expresso drinks anymore
Was in the neighborhood and decided to get a couple drinks. I got their Beans and rice Frappe and the wifey got their Horchata Cappuccino iced. Both flavorful types of iced coffees. The Beans and rice frappe has grounded coffee beans in the mix if you are into that kinda thing.Clean cafΓ© and great customer service practicing social distancing. They also have a few random food items for sale on the tables near the register as if it were a convenience store.Drink up and enjoy the many different flavors they have to offer.
Get the Horchata Frap, thank me later!
The best horchata frappe is serve here !
That cafecito Cubano π¨πΊ is so good highly recommended
Coffee is amazing. One worker there though (a young woman) was rude to me and the other customers.Oh well. Everyone has bad days, but it shouldnβt be projected onto others.
Every time a crave a frappe I come to Tierra Mia & get an horchata frappe! & on cold days I get chocolate Mexicano which has the same flavor as chocolate de abuelita. I love it!! BOMB! Been going to Tierra Mia since 2013 (:
Better than star bucks! Very cultural with the wide variety of drinks! Pasties are better here too! Actually freshly made!
Nice and friendly. Really cute guy π helped me.
Tierra Mia Coffee is a stylish latin coffee shop and pastry located at N. Alvarado street in Echo Park section of LA. They have other locations throughout Los Angeles County. Interior atmosphere was relaxing and inviting; space was smaller compared to its other location, however. Interior design was cool with picture frames hanging all over their beige wall. I came here on an early Monday morning to grab a coffee. I ordered a medium size hot brewed coffee and guava pastry. They were perfectly made to satisfy my palate. Staff was amiable, competent, followed healthy protocol and professional. Prices were fair and competitive. Street metered parking only. Overall, I had a wonderful order experience and enjoyed my coffee/pastry. Therefore, I highly recommend this latin coffee shop.
Great place with one of a kind pastries and coffee drinks. All have a twist of our Latino culture in their drinks, such as horchata lattes, their rice and beans ice blend to name a few. My go to drink is their iced Horchata latte with an extra shot.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The breakfast we had was really good and very tasty. The espresso was even better, the best coffee in the area. I also love the decaf it was one of the best Iβve ever tasted.
Tierra Mia > Starbucksboth in taste and quality
I really loved their coffee! Excellent preparation and nice aroma.
Great flavors! Ive had the latte and the cafecito cubano and they were perfect! Also reasonably priced compared to similar coffee houses.
Customer service fell a little short. No menus except for when you get to the register, so I wasnt ready with my order when I approached the cashier. She was a little demanding in the way she asked me what I would be ordering as if I was disrupting some assembly line style ordering system. Kinda hard for a 1st timer to know flavors and prices and styles if u only have 5 seconds to look over a whole menu. Every coffee shop has their own unique nomenclature for their coffees and drinks and can be overwhelming for a 1st timer, so I kept it simple and ended up with a $4 regular coffee and a $5 vanilla latte. Both were good after the proper amount of sweetener and cream were added so they made up slightly for the sub par customer service. All in all, coffee seemed pricey, but satisfying and I would drink coffee from there again, but I wont go in and get it. I would recommend they add menus to their walls or hand railing so that customers can have their order ready without the pressure of an overly eager cashier and 10 people behind you line.
Great tea and pastries. Friendly staff. Warm atmosphere.
My favorite coffee shop ever! Im a Starbucks drinker but I must admit, tierra mia is far more tastier and cheaper than Starbucks! The horachata frappe and the rice and beans frappe are my favorite! And their pastries are amazingly delicious as well! The staff here is always so friendly!
Excellent coffee and atmosphere
Great drinks and love the pastries
I love their rice and bean frappe and Mexican chocolate frappe!
Small coffee shop but amazing coffee.
Update: came back and service was terrible. I complained about the rice and beans coffee been nasty not tasting like coffee and all creamer. They gave us terrible looks and unapologetic. The manager a girl didnt even say sorry July 6, 2018 @ 9:30pm. This is disappointing. All the little kids working with her with her clowns talking smack in the back room. Who knows what they did to our drinks.
Staff was great even though they were very busy,1st customer and Im sold on the horchata cream, very delicious
Always wonderful. Some outdoor seating on Alvarado makes Tierra Mia a delightful place to enjoy the cafe experience now during the lock down.
I not only love their coffee, I love there idea. Im Salvadorian, first generation in my family born in the states and its cool seeing a mixture of culture within a coffee shop. Cool stuff, There staff are pretty and nice. π€Thank you!
Great I ask for loco coco coffee was delicious and Guadalajara hot chocolate delicious too
Horchata latte is sooo good!
Got a mexican chocolate with soy milk.
Im not from the LA area Im from the Central valley but I took a trip to la recently and one of the girls was telling me about this coffee shop so we went on a mission to find it. It was located in a place that you would never expect. A little hole-in-the-wall that it seems you would only hear of by word of mouth. A very nice little place. It was well worth driving around and looking for. I will definitely go back when Im in the area again!
Excellent coffee. Very smooth and balanced but rich in flavor. Pumpkin muffin was pretty good.
Honestly Amazing. This simple yet beautiful cafe has nailed what it means to be a coffee shop, and that is sell a great coffee. I had the Cubano con leche and it was the best cup of coffee Ive had in a long time. I will definitely be back every time Im near LA
Horchata latte is really good..
Its a really cute place, if you go to the church nearby its a good pit stop. It has the atmosphere of a 90s coffee shop and has a lot a cool silverware. You can get all kinds of drinks here and they have croissants and more little foods. The seating arrangement is normal but you can sit right in front of the windows if you want. If you want to charge your phone or tablet they dont block off the charge ports so feel free to :>
We love some Tierra Mia . Try horchata latte half flavors over ice if you donβt like sweet stuff.
The only reason I gave 4 star because drinks are delicious but the young girl cashier made me feel unvalued! I was not greeted not even a smile. Does not know about customer service! If I return here is because of the drinks!
The best coffee ever
Love their Rice & Beans Frapβ Must Try!
Feel a like home and coffee is delicious
I always come here for the coconut latte when I go for a walk.
A little confusing when you walk in and drinks took 10 to 15min to make considering there was only 2 orders ahead of us thats long. The Chocolate Mexicano Frappe is delicious highly recommended if you like mocha
Consistently impressed by the food here! Highlights include the quiche, the chewy cookies, the guava cream cheese croissant, and the v solid breakfast sandwich. They also have vegan donuts! Good coffee, friendly staff--support (delicious) small businesses
The best iced lattes around. I come anytime Im in LA, it is a must
Smallist cup the had of cafe Cubano had me going about 5 hrs with a 30 mintues kick in. I tried the three leaches muffin warm it had a soft center with that milk taste. would recommend
Always get my caramel machiato here. Also always buy coffee beans here!
Delicious nuff said.
Absolutely delicious coffee and pastries. This place is the Latin version of St*r BπΈcos. My favorite is the Rice & Beans. Give it a try, you wont regret it! βπ§
Nice coffee to go only
Hands down best coffee in Echo Park! Iβve been going since they opened in the neighborhood.Staff always greets my daughter & I with joy, making my coffee experience even sweeter.I love El Cubanito (itβs strong though)! Also like their Vanilla Latte with Oatmilk.Their pastries are really tasty, even the vegan ones!
I love coco loco late uts the best
Great horchata frappe fast service
Horchata frappes are amazing, the croissants are never stale and always delisious
This location have one of the best coffee in town. Love it! Unfortunately parking is not available but you will find a spot on the street.
Very clean and fast service and inexpensive.
Loved their coffee and tres leches muffin...it was delicious π
Great twist on traditional Mexian faves.
This place is great. Always busy and they have oat milk and an iced oat milk latte is a must when I come here. The only part that is a bit of a pain is the parking hard to find. There is a garage a block away but always super full. Its also a bit overpriced but what good coffee shop isnt.
I only order the horchata ( hot and ice blended) and it is delicious! Reason for the 4 stars is because sometimes the drinks are inconsistent and turn out too liquidy or frothy.
They have a very nice selection of tequilas. The food is good and at reasonable prices. The staff is very nice and professional
Really good mocha iced latte and horchata iced latte and great variety of biscottis
Oh cold brew how I love you. This place gets crazy on weekend mornings, but totally worth it. Get extra basic and have their awesome avocado toast. Tierra Mia Coffee!
Best coffe ever friendly staff parking okay
Nice coffee with friendly service.
Visited this spot with friends and family that came from New York, Illinois, and Louisiana... wanted to show a bit of Los Angeles and our diversity... success!!! The service was excellent, the location perfect, and the drinks and food very unique and on point!!! A must place to visit and hang out; whether you are with friends, family or on a date you must visit this place; you will not be disappointed
Good drinks but the employees are horrible. Slow service and employees have a rude attitude.
Amazing coffee! We happened to be walking in the area and smelled the beautiful aroma of coffee and went inside and had a Fantastic latte! Very full-bodied coffee, not bitter or overwhelming, just delicious! Our family members had a frappe and horchata latte too. Everyone throughly enjoyed their drinks! The staff their too was so helpful and friendly!! We will be returning there soon!
Tierra Mia is good. All other locations are better due to parking availability. Go to this one if you are planning to walk.
This coffee shop was so great and has a some good goodies to have as well. Their coffee has a great taste and it was so good. The place was cool and it was well managed. Excellent customer service.
