Thursday Goals: Hot Latte and Cold Brew and look busy until the weekend gets here. Lol. Without further ado, let’s begin this new review.Silverback Coffee of Rwanda is a coffee shop that offer great coffee and ambiance. Furthermore, it has an inspiring story that you will truly admire. What I like the most about this coffee shop besides their drinks was Jack’s, founder/owner, vision and mission especially for Rwanda and its wildlife. This store is located in Echo Park by Sunset blvd. Also, they have one other store in DTLA’s Art District. I arrived on a sunny morning; I was warmly greeted by one of their female barista. It’s interior infused by Rwanda culture and wildlife. Moreover, it has an exposed brick wall which gave the inside a more prodigious look. It has a wide space (~2,200 sq feet) where one can walk freely without invading other people’s territorial space. I perused their coffee list posted on the wall; they have wide variety of drinks. I ordered the Silver Lining Cold Brew, a Silverback Mocha Hot Latte and a plain croissant. They carry regular (8 oz.), medium (16 oz.) and large (20 oz.) size cup. My Silver Lining Cold Brew was smooth and sweet; Hot Mocha Latte was brewed perfectly and flavorful while their plain croissant was puffy, soft and of modest quality. Service was fast and efficient. Prices were average and competitive for the area. Staff were amiable, competent and followed health protocol. Free Wifi available. Street metered parking and public parking lot were available. Collectively, these make me conclude that I truly enjoyed my experience, drinks and its atmosphere. Overall, I highly recommend this coffee shop and will definitely come back again.

Great coffee. Only issue was when I went outside, tripped, drop my coffee went back inside ask for another coffee and got charged another five dollars. OK it was my fault but any other place would’ve given me a free coffee.Not coming back, not recommending

Best coffee in LA! strong, rich flavor with balanced acidity. I got the Vanilla oat nitro cold brew and a vegan orange chocolate chip muffin. And my partner got a salted caramel cold brew and the soy chorizo breakfast wrap. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Good vegan/vegetarian options. Might have just found my new favorite coffee shop, we’ll definitely be back soon :)

Love this place! Killer brew, great menu, vegan pastry, huge elegant airy space with some plugs for students and writers.

This place is amazing. The profits really go to the women of Africa that work on the coffee farms. Learn the history by asking the employee, they will explain everything and there is a story of the background on the counter.

Loved this place, came for Dodger game and hit the spot for a latte...better than Starbucks.

This is an incredible coffee shop. My new favorite in Echo Park! The quality is top notch and the staff is great. If you live in Echo Park please support this local business.

Amazing! The coffee is rich without being too acidic, the shop is beautiful and clean, and the story behind the shop and mission of Silverback Coffee is touching. Highly recommend this small business and will definitely be back for some beans to go and a tasty cappuccino!

Absolutely gorgeous ambience.. the hardwood floors make me nostalgic of being in a childhood home. Brick walls and plants are a nice touch. I love the little room in the back. Plenty of outlets and WiFi (which is not super fast at around 200kbps but good enough).Their rose latte is SO good. Not too sweet, refreshing, but you can still taste the smooth creamy espresso.Also try the Jen’s latte which is made with condensed milk. Not too sweet at all but has a decadent flavor.

This place is incredible. Super cool vibe, friendly staff and great coffee! Definitely recommend it.

$6 pour over made with over roasted coffee that was nearly undrinkable. Honestly, if you’re going to charge $6 for a pour over, at least use high quality coffee. I was asked whether I wanted my pour over to be made with dark or medium roast. If I had paid $3.50 for the cup, okay. But when I pay $6 for a borderline undrinkable cup of coffee that I have to wait 20 mins for, I expect something unique and flavorful. Instead what I got was Starbucks quality drip coffee at Intelligentsia prices. Also had a muffin, which tasted like grease. I know these guys are new, but they need to either adjust their prices or drastically improve the quality of their coffee and pastries.

The staff is extremely friendly. Iced oat milk latte is yummy!
