I never leave review but this really shook me. I went to this coffee shop and it was my first time there and I’m extremely disappointed. It appeared clean upon entry and seemed nice but there was a bug it my salad, which tells me otherwise. It wasn’t cheap so I was really upset. Very disgusting and ruined my appetite, I don’t think I’ll be coming back!

One of the best coffee shops in Los Angeles, hands down. Pretentious level coffee without the sterile environment.Always a variety of freshly roasted beans from all over the world. Love their Papua New Guinea especially.No up charge for plant milk and they usually have a bunch of options: soy, almond, oat, and even hemp. They do pour overs as well.The vegan breakfast burrito is legit good. Not just for a coffee shop, as in sometimes I go just to get it!They have vegan baked goods too- the banana bread is delicious.

This little shop has kept us fueled for so long, (about 5 years now?) The employees are always friendly (except for that one lady but shes gone now so all good) Coffee is always made to perfection and we love that we can buy whole beans and grind them to our desired consistency at home. When I was about to enter, the staff greeted me enthusiastically and it made me more comfortable especially I am new here. They also provided me with books to read while enjoying the heavenly taste of the coffee. I liked the flavor that I chose for it was soothing my mind. I do believe that drinking coffee is one way of calming your soul. If you dont believe me, just try and feel it!

This place has literally the nicest breakfast burrito I have ever tried... and I’ve tried many!! It’s a decent size (for some people that’s important), the texture is spot on, and the flavors are explosive! I added chorizo to mine. I’m sure the braised rib option is also delicious. If you’re a breakfast burrito person, do yourself a favor and give this place a try 😊👍🏻

For years now, I have been a constant and faithful client of this coffee shop. It was my everyday ritual before going to work to have a taste of their best tasting coffee in town. I liked their muffin, too, and it wasnt as sweet as other bakeries. For my officemates, I still buy some extras because they love it, too!

I wasn’t expecting much at all from this understated coffee joint—but WOW I am shocked. I got the Goddess Bowl, which is a pretty pricey $13, and WORTH EVERY PENNY. This is truly the best meal I’ve had since being in LA (for a month). It’s so fresh, perfectly salted&peppered; perfectly portioned—just incredible. Here on a Wednesday morning, parking is what it is because we are in LA. Ordered the groundwork mocha with almond milk, pretty smooth rich flavor! A pretty busy corner but getting here was not as bad as some other places, plus this is the local organic spot. Price tag does exist so if youre use to your sugared up drinks and only paying 3 bucks etc..... think twice but worth it to me

Was in LA for a concert and this was one of the only coffee shops near the venue that was open past 6 (and wasnt Starbucks). I ordered their Horchata Cold Brew and was pleasantly surprised. The cinnamon wasnt overpowering, and did have that horchata taste. My sister ordered their Vietnamese coffee, and also enjoyed it. She didnt find it too sweet.

All joking aside, I tend to judge a coffee shop by its barista. Specifically, how hipster do they look dictates how tasty their coffee shots are pulled. When I arrived I was kinda sad to see that they looked just like normal people. I dont mean that in a mean way at all... they were actually all beautiful people, but not what I pictured in my mind.We ordered our typical drink: vanilla latte with almond milk. To be honest, my wife and I ordered just one to try before we laid down the $ for two incase the drink wasnt up to par.To cut to the chase, we were very pleased with the drink, so much that we did order a 2nd one and also began to peruse the food menu. We ended up ordering the avocado toast. Now, the menu gives the feeling that these are small bites and that is what they are. Dont expect a full meal, but the bites are tasty for sure!The actual location is spacious but was crowded... I guess another good sign for a coffee shop! Its location near Hollywood makes it a perfect place to stop and grab a drink and bite.

Best coffe ever

Went here a few weeks ago to meet up with some friends who were staying in this area. Shop looked nice and was clean, and had a good amount of seating. Their menu has multiple vegetarian dishes to choose from, along with plenty of meat dishes. I had a latte, and the breakfast tacos. Both were delicious. The latte was made well, and the tacos were full of flavor, with extra salsa on the side if you needed it. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in the area.

The food & Chai was awesome.

GCC was friendly, quick, and easy. Id definitely recommend placing your order online if you plan on visiting them during a busy time. Covid restrictions only allow 6 guests inside at a time and they have limited staff so things can get backed up for them easily. But, if you place your order ahead itll probably be ready by the time you arive.

The house mocha coffee doesnt taste as great as the one you buy in Starbucks.

The baristas take time to get to know their customers and will make great suggestions when you want to try something new. I will always recommend Groundwork Coffee!

They have security. They need it. Homeless encampment with furniture within 10 paces of front door. The entire 4 block retail area around the store is overrun with homeless. Great coffee and staff. Clean store

Great coffee. Fun atmosphere. All Most gave 4 stars since they dont fill cups up to the top. But nice place. Gonna stop at one in Portland. I am not a huge fan of untrained animals in public so I liked the sign.

I took my one of sisters here for her birthday dinner and she truly loved it. The interior was very nice. We ordered different dishes with a couple of appetizers. The atmosphere and food are out of this world. It was pricey, but get what you pay for. The staffs are very helpful, attentive and willing to give recommendations on the menu. Certainly be back.

Adorable new coffee spot. It is on Lankershim Boulevard, a few doors down from my go to tire place. Very clean, I ordered an iced macha mint latte and it was served with the sprig of mint. This place has a unique vibe to it, not the usual Starbucks all day hang out people with nowhere to go. It is airy, has a Hollywood Regency meets new urban vibe and hopefully gives this block the vitality it is greatly Lacking. I suggest we all support our new neighborhood independant coffee houses, I will be coming back! Lots of street parking, there are lots of business next-door that are closed but dont let that deter you. Hopefully this is a resurgence of Noho, give it a shot!

My go-to spot in the neighborhood. The drinks are reasonably priced and quality. The food is overpriced in my opinion, but its good. Most of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They seem to always be working hard. Its a great spot to meet for coffee with a good amount of seating. The tall metal chairs gotta go though, ouch :P There is free wifi, but its often spotty so I recommend using your own hotspot.

I love Groundwork Coffee. Both the Coffee and the Coffee. I am a loyal patron. I buy 1 to 2 pounds of coffee from here a week. I keep a can of Black Magic on hand for my espresso machine. When Im looking for coffee; I opt for their light roast. Both the Peru and Brazil choices are fantastic. Pro tip: If you buy 1 pound of Coffee you get a free drink, any size. They offer Hemp, Cashew, Almond, and Soy as milk alternative. They make their own Cashew Milk. They make many of their drink spices/flavors (Chai, Mocha, etc. ) in house. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have enjoyed many conversations with the staff. Look no further. Give this place a go!

I just cant past the coffee...Its a great space! If youre looking for a quiet place to work with great seating, air conditioning and reliable snacks, Groundwork on N. Cahuenga is it. If youre looking for great the coffee walk out the door and go straight to the Jack In the Box. They both offer awful coffee, but at least at Jacks its only a $1. The lattes are just as bad as the coffee.
