Lots of tasty breakfast options and delicious pastries.... Beautiful Westwood location... Ill be going there again
Nice and clean place. Coffee is good. I was very disappointed with the almond croissant. It had an after taste of ham or bacon, maybe it was cooked with a quiche next to it. The almond cream was tasteless, I didnt feel the almonds inside, nor did I feel the taste of fresh butter . The whole croissant was compact and wasnt fluffy at all. I am french and this is definitely not how an almond croissant should taste like. If you need some advice you can contact me. Until then, Ill stick to your coffee only.
Fantastic food. Fresh, clean, and unique. The breakfast options are great, the pastries are amazing, and the lattes are authentic. The workers are always nice, welcoming, and accommodating. We spent hours here on one day and it didnt even feel like it. Cozy atmosphere with WiFi. An upscale Starbucks without the cheap chain feel.More space and cushions on the chairs would be ideal, but otherwise this is a great place to eat, relax or work.
Great food, excellent service, and exceptional coffee. This place is a great way to start your morning. The egg skillet and avocado toast were both full of flavor and perfectly done. The coffee was so good that we had to buy some to take home. The place is clean and the service was quick. Our waitress greeted everyone and made sure everyone got what they needed.
Ate here for lunch and got bowls and sandwiches. Both were tasty, and staff was friendly. Restaurant had a nice vibe inside for an enjoyable time.
The best iced cafe latte Ive ever tasted in my life!
Foodwise this is a lovely place. We’d always love to get something from their bakery on our way home. Multigrain raisins bread is our all-time fav, their scone and flute are very good as well. For meals the smoked salmon avocado toast, chicken confit Cesar salad, and soups were decent choices and all the ingredients were very fresh. The waffle was also quite popular here, but it turned out to be a bit too sweet and solid. The caveat is that if you want to dine here, you need to have plenty of time at your disposal - you need to wait for the service and wait for food. We’ve been there twice for lunch and spent almost 1.5 hours each time (of course we hadn’t learned from the first experience). The staff are friendly and I hope that in the future they can become more organized =)
Great place for some hot drinks and bread products. I loved the friendly service. The drink cups are small bowls, like in Europe. The prices are a bit higher than others around. Overall, its quite nice. Update: I noticed that the servers do not clean the tables with chlorine solutions to make them sterile and possibly transmit desease.
I when to eat at this location the food that the waitress (if I remember her name is Giselle)recommended to get the smoked Salmon & Scallions which by the way was the best in town I was so impressed with her service she was really on top of everything great places to eat
What a happy accident! Wandered in here today mistakenly thinking it was Tocaya (I didnt have a coffee yet, so Im sure the aromas were subconsciously drawing me in). Bought a latte and their espresso tastes AMAZING, plus the service/attitude of the staff is wonderful. Also picked up a bag of the organic granola up front, with coconut, and its killer. Happy to have stumbled in. :) Will be back for more coffee very soon.
Nice place, good food and service.
Mostly Id come here for the atmosphere rather than the food itself. The menu is rather pricey for the quantity of food that you receive. Essentially I ended up paying $14 for four slices of bread and a coffee. If youre a college student Id recommend just sharing a big pot of coffee and maybe some silver dollar pancakes. Good date spot!
LPQ is the TGIF of European brunch. The prices are a bit high so one must savor the quality of the ingredients (salad leaves, breads) and the pleasant blond wood decor.
18Apr2021-Dining in is back and our server Robin was great and attentive. We had a goat cheese and mushroom omlet and oatmeal. Always tasty and the coffee is smooth.2019-The cute little local feeling corner eatary. The food taste and presentaion was nice. the avocado egg half sandwich was very good.
We visit Los Angeles, CA almost every year and usually stay in the North Beach area. We love having breakfast at Pats Cafe and usually dine here 3 or 4 times during our trip. Great atmosphere, friendly service and always good food. Thanks Le Pain Quotidien!!
Our host / server with extraordinarily personable. He had an extremely positive yet humble Vibe about him and made the experience very enjoyable. Unfortunately on this particular visit, the food was just not as good as Im used to after a couple of Decades of visiting Le Pain Quotidien.I think every restaurant has their days, this just wasnt theirs. Ill be back for decades to come!
I wouldnt mind coming here again with friends, but I wouldnt go for myself. I like their menu, everything sounds tasty and they have coffee. I got the goat cheese and mushroom omelette, which came with bread (too hard, still tasted good) and a little salad. I also tried some of my friends quinoa bowl thing. It was a satisfying brunch but I wouldnt say an exceptionally good meal. Service was good.
My all time favourite place for lunch. Food is amazing, cakes are incredible, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff are so friendly. I’d give it 6 stars if I could!
Food is ok. Though the Belgium chocolate brownie is really rich in flavor. Loved this one. Service sucks. We sat outside and it took forever (40+ minutes?) to get our food. They’re dog friendly.
Wow this place had a lot of reviews with four and a half stars. Its expensive compared to your hole in the wall bakeries, even though this is a hole in the wall too. The square desserts were 1.25 and the custards were 2.5. Id rather go somewhere else to be honest. But it was nice quality.
Always a delightful time with A European minimalist feel that’s refreshing. It a great place to read or work from with great food and fresh pastries to enjoy. The staff is always friendly. I love to feel that little piece of Europe when I spend time there.
Good selection of menu options. Very flavorful food. Great service.Clean restaurant and bathrooms
Food is really good and the portions are just right. The pot of coffee is actually single serve fyi. Service left something to be desired. Our waiter was friendly but not very good or informative nor did he pay attention much. Well try it again but if the server issue isnt a one-off like I think it may be, then this would be 2stars. If the service improves then 4stars
A croissant and a chocolate croissant for 8,25$!!!!!Too expensive!I am french, and these croissants are NOT french quality!I tried 2 times this place and the croissant was not fresh! So i will never come back
So it was good, trying new coffee places is an adventure, but I found trying this new location pretty good experience overall. Friendly staff which is always important for me. The menu simple but there is good selection. Cool music. And you can eat here too. If your in Westwood, I would recommend. The iced coffee is pretty of the hook.
Very unique French pastry/restaurant. A rustic look, and the food was good. Really, the coffee was better than Starbucks. In fact I bought a bag of the organic Peruvian decaf.
Loved the interior decor. Food was delish. Had ancient grains breakfast bowl. Ample quantity & filling with lots of vegetables. Staff was mostly very nice. They need to be a bit more attentive & check on guests. I got up and walked over to my server who had her back to all guests for quite a few minutes. In the restaurant biz, you gotta pay attention b/c there are so many other options out there. Also, the bathroom needs attention, perhaps a trash bin next to the door so that trash is not thrown on the floor.
Le Pain Quotidien restaurants are fine places to visit where they are available throughout the world. Very good food at reasonable prices. Whats not to like.
Good food here, but mediocre service. It took us 40 minutes (!!) to get our food and we had ordered a bread basket which shouldn’t take that much time. Our server barely attended to us, did not refill water, and it took a lot of effort to get her attention to get the check.
Great service. The food was mediocre. Cool concept will bringing the coffee in bowls. Would definitely stay for bread and coffee.
This place is a convenient place for breakfast in Westwood Village. The place is small but does have a couple of small tables outside as well.I had the hot chocolate and the breakfast sandwich. The hot chocolate was standard, and the sandwich was also decent. For the price, I expected more than the standard breakfast sandwich so that was a bit disappointing.Parking is street parking only like many places in Westwood Village. Theres also a few parking structures nearby.
Food is always delicious. Service used to be slow but has improved greatly over the last year. Great overall vibe!
I come here regularly. Nice staff. Good food. Cute interior and outside seating. A bit expensive for the serving sizes. Pastries are good, but these would not be acceptable in Belgium.
Honestly, the place is fine, though they really don’t do anything exceptional. I liked the atmosphere and general feel of the cafe but the croissants and pastries aren’t really worth the price and tasted either old or like they were baked from frozen. The actual bread selection is good though and the fresh food is nice. Also, the WiFi is poor so consider somewhere else if you need net access.
Absolutely delicious, a bit on the pricer side, but for the quality and location, it can’t be beat!
Great dishes lovely service. I Highly recommend.
A nice breakfast or lunch place. They make various organic and European style dishes and bread. Popular locally, so there could be a bit of a wait for a table on the weekends.
Delicious cafe treats, breads, sweets, and coffee. The bakery lunch (soup, avocado toast, quinoa salad) was a fantastic light lunch. Parking can be a challenge, but there is a small public garage beneath the restaurant, which will validate your parking pass.
Awesome food. Great service. Highly recommend!
The service and the food here was exceptional! I really enjoyed the experience, it made me feel like I was in a mini France!
Good food and cozy atmosphere in Westwood village. If you’re European, this probably would remind you your home tastes.Soups and quiches 🔥🔥🔥
A great place for breakfast or lunch. The baked goods are superior and the food is fresh healthy and well prepared. Good place for lunch.
Love the one in Santa Monica but this one is a bit slow with service, especially for singles! Food special of day was not as good as other items in past. Maybe an off day?
Great place for healthy food and pastry
Great experience this morning. Service was on and my breakfast was great too.
Belgian waffles were buttery and crisp. Cinnamon roll was also buttery and fresh. French coffee was smooth
It’s hard to write this review during this time especially after they just reopened. The croissant was not good at all and they don’t accept gift cards. They claimed that their system doesn’t allow for this at the moment but I think it’s BS. Won’t be going back.
Always!Very tasty food.Excellent server staff.Time to enjoy it.
This restaurant has great coffee and pastries, on a par with anything I had in Paris (where this restaurant chain started). The salads, omelettes, and waffles are great as well. The service was friendly and efficient. We ate at this branch in the Westwood neighborhood and also at one in Santa Monica, near 4th and Wilshire. Both were a delight. Try the mint lemonade! I wish theyd open a branch or two in Portland, Oregon!
Great brunch spot. Excellent salads and sandwiches. Busy so expect to wait a bit.
A quiet place to have a great breakfast with great service. Wifi was down when I was there. Otherwise a 5 star.
Great place. Just a bit pricey for the amount of food offered
Avacado toast is amazing...highly recommend
I liked the egg sandwich with guacamole here .
Great array of food for everyone in your party. Coffee, pastries, and more savory fare. Fantastic service to boot.
Great food reasonable prices for quality which you can definitely taste 100% will be back Nick was great thank you le pain quotidien
Delicious and outstanding service!
The food is consistent, although does not really evolve over time.THe service, however, is not that wonderful - and that is why i give one star less than 5. Soups! thats whats great. And coffee.
Food was very good! Delicious bread and spreads to choose from, would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting! Comfortable ambience!
Food and ambiance is great. Service can be slow.
More of a breakfast/lunch spot than dinner. The Westwood location has both outdoor seating and a hide away upstairs location. Good spot to meet friends for a reasonably price and decent meal.
I always enjoy eating here. And the sliced whole wheat sourdough bread is delicious.
Good food, a little weird that you just did yourself down and hope a server sees you there. Its not great to go if youre on your lunch hour, but if you have some time, worth going. Also, theres always a vegan option, yay!
Lovely place, great cakes, cookies and pastries.Coffee is strong and lattes are very good.Their version of Nutella is to die for :)
Breakfast, bread and pastries are great. Price is not too bad. Atmosphere is good.
Great service and food. Place looks clean and tidy
The usual high quality pastries and drinks with friendly service that makes you forget how impossible parking is in Westwood! Replacing the merengue we want back was empathy for not having it on the menu the apple donut shown here. Very expensive though!
Kindly staff with bland food. The eggs are overcooked to the point of having the texture of cardboard. I dont know what kind of koolaid they are drinking in Westwood but Ill tell you this much: Le Pain Quotidien is a pain in my taste budidiens. Havent tried other food there but trust me Im good at passing judgment on stuff ;)
Everything looks good and tastes good. Nice atmosphere. Many vegan choices.
I love their Turmeric Latte. The best!
Fantastic service and kind manager. Great recommendations with friendly service~
Fun brunch location. Big table in the middle, can get loud inside. Also has external tables.
I had the most virtuous breakfast of my life here. It involved quinoa, roasted carrots, kale &,Brussel sprouts, pickled cabbage and a fried egg, with a wedge of lemon. However, tLe Pain Quotidian is likey better known for excellent coffee and pastries and solid range of traditional breakfast for staying or to go. Love the Euro ambience.
They are open until 6 and not 7 pm. Somehow the hours of operation have to be correct in order for Friday Night Traffic Adventure to be avoided.
Beautiful ambience and quality pastries!
Good food served in small portions. Last time I went, the electricity was out, so they couldnt make eggs, but I was still very satisfied with the waffle that I ordered.
Very nice almond croissant, but not always made consistently
Were here twice a month. The food is good but sometimes the service is a bit low.
Service was quite slow at this Le Pain; it took at least 30 or 40 minutes to get our food. I suspect it was a fluke, but not a great start. Once it arrived though, everything was excellent. This is definitely a bougie Westwood place, so expect fancy (and expensive) dishes. Presentation right off the bat is good. The artful plating on simple white contrasts nicely with the dark wooden tables. Your meal will practically beg you to Instagram it.Moving on to the more important matter of eating, everything proved worthy of my taste buds. Simple yet robust, each item is a great twist on a classic -- not too heavy and not too overbearing in flavor. And dat bread!Long story short, this is a great place to impress your upper middle class hipster girlfriend.
The cheese and chorizo omelette was good! The organic bread and salad on the side went well with the omelette. The flavours were a bit less European than I would have liked - the cheese could have been better (more pungent maybe), and the chorizo wasnt as red and didnt have the flavours one gets from Spanish chorizo. Its of course an American outlet, so cant complain.
The name means The Daily Bread. This location in Westwood is just steps away from Wilshire behind LA Fitness on Gayley. There was a nice, upscale crowd when I entered comprised of locals, businesspeople and a large group of ladies celebrating a birthday.I immediately liked the large airy dining room bursting with morning light. They have a very extensive breakfast selection; so it took me sometime to decide.I had the omelette with salmon, scallions and added gruyere cheese with a fruit bowl side. The omelette was especially delicious and I rate it best omelette Ive had this year. The very friendly, warm, professional service by server Danielle and Manager Anna was a 10/10-Magnifique.I really enjoyed the Belgian european cafe atmosphere which retains a strong local, homey flavor like its been in Westwood for many years.I finished my Breakfast with their signature 3 pastry dessert and coffee which capped my morning splendidly. This restaurant is now one of my top ten choices for breakfast in LA.
Great healthy food, and great service by Makda😎... Happy Tummy, Happy Soul.
Breakfast was very good, but the personel withholds me to give a 4/5. The personel is very lazy and slow. There was one woman, asian by origin who worked at a good pace and did her job well but the other four people were just chatting with each other and standing there without doing something. The kitchen even had to complain that the meals were standing there too long. Things that needed to be warm were cold when we got it as a result. I hope that this will change in the future because otherwise you wont see me overthere anymore which is a pity because the breakfasts are perfect!
The team present a very good example for a great customer service! And we really would like to thank all the ladies over there for making it easy on us being away from home “we’re visiting from Abu Dhabi”. (Makeda, Anna, Erika and Sherine)And of course a special thanks for Danielle for making us fall in love with LPQ on the first place :)Nat, thank you so much for the great hospitality, you are such a gentleman! Thanks a millionFatima and Mariam
Excellent food and service, couldnt reach the restaurant by phone when my daughter left her glasses by accident. 4.5 stars for sure. MILITARY FRIENDLY
The food is amazing, but we did not like the service!!
Love the food and ambience. Feels like a little bit of Europe!
Naked goods are delicious but service is slow
The restaurant was amazing! The food, the interior, and the quality were excellent!!
Outstanding honey ginger lemon tea. bad WiFi. kinda loud too.
Very nice place in European style. Wooden furniture and decoration
Perfect for breakfast. They have everything
