This place is now one of my favorite spots. The ambience is really good, its relaxing, perfect for those who want to study or just want to hang out. Their signatures: Angelina, Brad Pitt and 5th Avenue is a must try! They also have excellent customer service (one of the reasons why I love Koreans!)
Favorite cafe in all of LA (and i mean that)! Coffee is unbeatable and their pastries are top tier. It’s one of the best “mom & pop” shop left in this area, and Taka is the highlight of my day whenever I get to see him behind the counter. Not into coffee? Their tea and matcha selection are also, legitimately, the best in the area. Can’t go wrong here, I promise ya.
Adorable little cafe which is well kept and decorated. Perfect for a light breakfast and drink or snack. Tried the rose lemonade and tropical tea, blueberry bagle
This place is small and cozy. Outside patio is good for chatting with your friends and inside is good for reading books or magazines (too small to talk ×_×) coffee is pretty good :) they also have cakes, muffins and brownies !
Lovely, cute cafe. They have crisp, flakey, buttery, AMAZING croissants... especially the Matcha Croissant! I can’t wait to eventually try ALL their other pastries. The Earl Grey Latte was good too. This place is NOT a study cafe because there’s no wifi and this place is tiny so seating is extremely limited. I kinda like that this cafe has no wifi? because it’s so fitting for the vibes and atmosphere of this little cafe.
Overall a good coffee shop. The atmosphere is great and the coffee is good. I got the cold brew here and it was pretty good.
The hardest working dude in LA makes coffee in a shop that is about three feet wide and has nearly enough room for a table. You can get fancy stuff with specific kinds of beans, or whatever a Kyoto pour over is. I usually get something sweet like the iced mocha because I have the pallet of a child.
Small, minimalist cafe in Little Ethiopia serving a choice variety of coffees, expertly prepared and a selection of appetizing baked goods. There is some sidewalk seating. Prices are modest. Go and enjoy a goood cup a java
Great coffee and if there is an egg and cheese croissant available GET IT.
I have always loved this store! Thank you so much for giving me a good meal. The coffee was wonderful and the food was really good. The waitress who served my order was, moreover, very polite and sweet. Also, the atmosphere was nice and elegant. Many thanks to you! For more, Ill keep coming here!
I just came from this place 09/17/21And the owner was very short with me, rude, unwelcoming, and had ZERO pastries. He then gave me my drink which consisted of about a tablespoon of coffee 🤔. I guess the manner in which he treats customers, his inability to keep products stocked, and failure to give people what they paid for is the reason as to why his shop was completely EMPTY when I arrived. Horrible experience.
Love this little hole in the wall coffee shop! The atmosphere inside is phenomenal and really sets itself apart with such a warm vibe. Great place to catch up with a friend, read a book, or study for that test. Coffee was good and the chai latte was even better!Edit: Taka is a great addition to this community and I love having the ability to turn this place into a daily stop for my morning routine! Also, the bacon and cheddar breakfast sandwich blows every breakfast sandwich in the are out of the water!
I went to this shop last Monday and I had to tell everyone that I had a fantastic experience. The coffee, the food, the atmosphere, the waiters/waitresses were great and amazing. The waiter who delivered my order was, however, very welcoming, polite and cautious. Next time, Im going to bring my friends here and let them know that this store is the best place to study, relax, and spend time. Terrific support!
I was so very grateful to my cousin for asking me where the coffee shop was. When I found you near our area, I was so pleased. Since its not that sweet, and its great for my taste, I like your mochaccino. You amazed me, so I decided to recommend to everyone your shop. Many thanks to you! Only until next time!
The whole visit to this coffee shop was outstanding! The service was incredible and the language barrier was really welcoming for my waiter. He suggested a great burger salad, and the dessert was perfect, of course. It has an elegant and welcoming atmosphere. I cant honestly think of a single negative. To all coffee lovers, I would certainly suggest this coffee shop!
The coffee is fantastic, and they have been roasting it for ten years! The pastries are absolutely wonderful.
5-stars! This shop deserved that, for they had a very good taste of coffees and foods. Besides, I stayed there in a couple of hours, and I enjoyed it. It was a perfect place to study and chill. Honestly, this shop made my morning filled with energy and happiness. Thanks for the service! It was satisfying and remarkable. Till next time!
It was a nice experience for me for the first time. Mike was a humble guy that knows what hes doing and gets the job done well. Try their services and you won’t regret it for sure. The quality of service they provided was amazing! I couldnt ask for more! I will never forget to tell all of my friends and co-workers about this place for sure.
You can have breakfast all day long, and lunch with me, of course. The sizes of the dishes are fine, and the food tastes wonderful. Found this place here, I tried to see for myself and checked all the really good reviews.
Love this place especially Xavier one of the guys who cleans the toilets.😄 love you guys
Oh, my! I will surely come back here again and again! The coffee and food were tasty and yummy. Besides, the waiters/waitresses that were working there were respectful, nice, and accurate. They served customers orders properly and nicely. Also, the shop was clean, comfortable to stay in a couple of hours, and very relaxing. Highly Recommended!
This coffee shop was suggested by a friend from college whose son goes to school in the city. Were so happy she did it. A specialty coffee and either biscotti or a cookie were enjoyed by each of us. We are impressed at how well their order pickup process works and not much waiting space, but the crowdedness is a sign of their successful business. Were probably going back here!
Very friendly service with warm vibes. The breads and sandwiches are freshly baked and made.
Its the best coffee shop in the city. Moreover, their coffee is inexpensive. Theyre still running a beautiful, simple enterprise with an outstanding service! Its a must-try!
Nice little homie Coffee House in the neighborhood. They have a roaster in house so I ordered some beans.
I dont frequent coffee shops, but this is one of them. There is also a wide variety of coffees to choose from. Strongly recommended!!
What I like about this coffee shop is that making various toppings is really good for the barista. The workers are really nice. And the carrot/walnut cake is delicious as well! I recommend this place very much!
Good deep purple great tasting Acai and all the toppings you can fit under the lid is a plus! Went to the one in Northridge and really didnt like it a few years ago so wasnt going to try again but my son and I decided to try it again here and we were extremely happy with it, I am sure to go here again especially because of the location its so pleasant at night to sit under the trees with strings of lights and the quiet street is relaxing.
Nice coffee, smoothies and tasty pastries and cookies. My favorite place to pass time. Pleasant workers, lovely cuisine and a very popular local peoples meeting spot.
I love the coffee from this well-known coffee shop. The mood of the place was great for those who had meetings, and for those who had friends with coffee lovers. This shop needs to be recommended to everyone.
Really cute spot! Theres a large array of drinks and food to try out, all of it looks very yummy.I had the breakfast tea latte with the chicken mango sandwich (comes w/ a small side salad) and a scone. Very happy with all three. The scone especially was delightful, with a moist inside and a slightly crispy outside. Ill definitely want to try out other flavors in the future.
Black Cow is heaven on earth. Friendliest staff ever that make you feel like youre a part of the family. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. You cant go wrong! I absolutely adore black cow.
This is one of the most wonderful coffee shops I’ve been in for quite some time. As a frequent patron of these sorts of establishments, this one stands out to me by taking the concept of cozy and delivering across the board. Excellent ambience, extremely friendly and thoughtful staff, and adequate space to park it and do some work for a little while. I’ll be back most definitely. Shout out to the two comfy chairs at the front of the shop.
Super friendly staff! I got the ecstatic iced coffee and it was really good. I got it with oat milk which a lot of places dont usually have. Its a fun and friendly environment to sit and enjoy a coffee. I also got a chocolate croissant and it was so good! Definitely check this place out
Every time I am in the city with my manager, we stop by here to fulfill our coffee cravings. Trust me when I say that the lines are out the door at this place. Dont try this place if you are in a rush, Its not a grab and go kinda place. You seriously have to wait long to get your coffee. Everything we got so far was amazing. I absolutely love their avocado toast. Its very yummy. Their service is great. Try this place if you have time and looking for some good coffee
Worth every penny. Frothy, steamy, yummy. Phil really knows how to make his coffee. Great attention to detail - I really like the mint leaf on top. But...I tend to get my coffee and go. I just dont find the decor very appealing. Second rate furniture thats cramped in. But, the coffee, the coffee makes it all worthwhile!!!
This coffee shop had great food, coffee and a nice atmosphere. I recommend the cold brew coffee, it is bold and smooth. The other specialty beverages, like the cappuccino, are excellent but are pretty small in size. It gets crowded around 10am on weekends so come before then!
I love me some good coffee and this place has it! As a coffee addict from Seattle, I have pretty high standards and this place is a must for coffee lovers. Coffees strong, flavorful, and not burnt or overly roasted. They serve drinks in cool glasses as well! The reason I docked a star was because one order was wrong and the other was the wrong size which they quickly fixed. Overall, I liked it!
Really cool place and really cool vibes. The customer service is very good and adds to the atmosphere. Very impressed with this new shop with an Amsterdam feel right in CA. I think I found my every other day spot and definitely will be going back.
Food was great, and ambiance and music was also really nice. Seats are comfy. The service was good. However, the owner forces you to pay a minimum of $5 to just use the WiFi upfront. He decided to close up early today and just asked me to leave at 5:25 pm. Cant say Im not a little disappointed ..
Great and friendly staff. Coffee was so good, I want one of these guys in my city.I ordered a latte and it tasted on pint. The milk added was not sweet so you can still taste COFFEE. Hopefully next time Im in CA I will definitely stop by and get coffee.
This is a wonderful coffee shop, the perfect place to read a book or play a game of cards with your dad. Unlike the loud, bright, ikea-like coffee places I keep finding myself in lately, Paradocs is softly lit, and decorated with comfortable, mismatched chairs. The Pastries are handmade in the back (so good) and the coffee is perfect.
Their iced vanilla latte is simple amazing. One of the biggest reasons why I come here so much is that theres free parking downstairs! And its such a spacious area with multiple outlets. Great to study and drink coffee! Their barista, Joseph, is really knowledgeable (he knows what hes doing!) and super friendly. I came here three times and he remembered my name.
So happy to have found this non-chain coffee shop that serves a variety of great coffees and teas at reasonable prices. Clean and modern with plenty of natural lighting, this is a fabulous place to spend a few hours in downtown Pasadena working or meeting friends and colleagues if you can find a table (it does get crowded). I havent tried the food, but the matcha latte is delicious.
Great coffee. Open with masks and social distancing right now.
Had a great time with the family and everybody enjoyed their food. Such great service, while waiting outside for our table, we were given toast with an amazing jam. I had the chilaquiles with poached eggs and it was perfect!! The green chile was just so tasty! We shared their homemade pop tart and it was yummy! Cant wait to go back and try more items on their menu.
Cold or hot? Name your choice and they have it for you exactly what you wanted! Very friendly barista too. Im pretty amazed that I just told them my name once, during my first visit two weeks ago, and yet they were still able to remember it. Will definitely be my go-to coffee spot as long as Im in Los Angeles!
The guy that owns this place is very committed to making sure you’re pleased with the drink you got. He came out to the patio to talk to us about the coffee he made for us. I really enjoyed the cookie I had here too. Reminds me of my grandmas cookies.
Im never in this part of town, but this place was in a convenient location for meeting someone recently so we decided to check it out. Im glad we did! While I didnt grab anything to eat, they had some vegan options on the chalkboard menu. There were some interesting drinks, too. I ended up with a soy earl grey latte, unsweetened. It took them a few minutes to brew the tea, but otherwise it came out quickly. It was great--thick and with a pronounced flavor. I could see myself ordering this regularly for sure.It was pretty cramped inside. Dont expect to have a private or intimate conversation. There was only one table outside, too. Still, it felt cozy, I guess you could say. Definitely see myself returning.
This place is perfect to do a bit of reading or get some work done. Also great if youve got a friend to accompany you and you just want to talk. I went in on a sunny afternoon after lunch and ordered a Macchiato and spent hours reading and people watching -- one of my favourite urban activities.
Julia! So thankful I got the truffle tip and dropped in, we sampled and bought a great assortment! Ive shared with family and friends and the response was unanimous, these truffles are amazing!!! Definitely worth dropping by if your in the area or better yet make it a point to go, you will not be disappointed!
Paradocs Coffee & Tea has very well crafted beverages. I enjoyed the espressos bold yet smooth flavor a lot. I ordered the affogato when I came, and it was the perfect combination. The space was a bit cramped since there were a lot of people during the lunch hour rush, but other than that, great experience.
Fresh baked pastries( pumpkin crossiant, matcha crossiants, kougan Amann ) that are are amazing. The coffee is high quality. The owner is so kind, attentive, and friendly. I love coming here!!
Support locally owned and operated coffee shops like this. Excellent service, plenty of coffee and teas on the menu, and their pastries are made on site. Thats pretty awesome for a small shop like this. Its a short walking distance from The Peterson auto museum and so worth the trek over to try this place
Tip: no plugs here. Not a place to use laptop. Though theres plugs inside the bar, the baristas are nice enough to let you use it.Latte is legit. Very smooth and flavorful though on the pricey side. Every hot drink will have designs on top.
Hands down this is the best coffee in town. I would put it against any coffee in Seattle. The fresh pastries and muffins are great too. Did I mention they are dog friendly!?
A lot of space to study, but not as many outlets as I would want. The drink I got, a soy latte, was okay. Not really a big fan.Interior is nicely designed, with enough lighting and space.I like the aesthetic and am glad I found this place near convoy, but away from the buzz of asian desserts.
This is my new favorite coffee spot in LA. Day ha latte with espresso was done right! The guy working here is super cool and they dont charge an arm and leg for amazing coffee/espresso. I wish there were more spots like this around.
I love this coffee so much. I just moved to the CA and I am ecstatic to find these coffee shops are everywhere. I lived in LS and made multiple trips to Los Angeles just for this coffee. I am glad that it is now only a 10-minute drive for me to find Blue Bottle rather than a 2 1/2 hour drive.
Super nice friendly local Japanese coffee shop. I always get the iced blueberry matcha or the iced chai. Sooo delcious! Perfect amount of flavor and sweetness. Their matcha brownie is really good too!
Amazing service, coffee and decoration.
I tried the almond croissant and the peach blueberry brioche and the hot chocolate. The almond croissant was good but not very fresh, the brioche was good and fresh, and the hot chocolate was a bit watery and dark. Adding some cream in it helped a lot.The place is pretty cozy and staff very nice.
Incredible Vibes, incredible customer service, wish I lived closer so I could go there every day. Very eclectic decor. Soft jazz playing, very small intimate environment.
Perfectly normal coffee shop with:Excellent coffeeVery good espresso drinksAuthentic and tasty in-house baked goodsNice musicWarm atmosphereFair pricesPolite and efficient serviceSuper-clean restroomEasy street parkingNo sticky odorsWhat’s not to like? Nothing!
Absolutely fantastic coffee and food. The sugar free vanilla was excellent, and the Kyoto cold brew is to die for. Food was delicious, all made in-house. Highly reccomend.
Amazing coffee and pastry!!! For 3 days in LA getting coffee from here!!!!
A rare gem! What an amazing place for coffee with stunningly unique feel to it. Highly recommend it! Thank you for making my stay in LA a little richer ❤️
This place is wonderful! Quiet atmosphere with fast WiFi. I ordered the hazelnut latte and an almond croissant. They delivered both items to me on a platter with a small glass of water. Great customer service! Ill definitely be coming here the next time Im in LA.
Definitely a big surprise inside this location!Decided to stop by for a quick coffee and ended up being taken in by all the flavors and aromas of good coffee. This shop is really close to our place and even though we dont come as often its a top spot to visit for caffeine. The owner Taka is super friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about the coffee he serves.Parking isnt terrible but also isnt the easiest but street meters are usually available. Also, dont worry about parking far from the shop because there are other little stores to visit on your way to getting your caffeine fix.The back to the actual coffee, I got the ice vanilla latte and it was perfectly made. I like the sudden bitterness yet sweet finish to it. It wasnt overwhelmingly sweet but just the right amount.I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area. They have some seating if you want to relax for a bit too.
You can never go wrong with this spot. Best place to be.
Very nice!
Another great coffee shop in CA. Stopped by on a Sunday morning around 9AM and the shop was pretty busy. Seems a bit busy/loud to get work done but its a great place to grab coffee and go or sit down and chat with friends. Seating it a bit limited inside but theres also a few spots outside too.
Love this place, great vibes, amazing people! Its so chill and relaxing, I have found my new favorite place.
Wow! This coffee will wake you up! I got an iced coffee and loved it. Nice space as well for work or meeting a friend.
I stop here almost every morning when i visit the city. Great Americanos and Cafe Mochas. The food is also good for a cafe and priced right. The people working here are very nice and always keep me updated on other good coffee shops. Its also very clean . But the wait sometimes can be a bummer. But parking sucks if you drive. I try to walk here from my hotel. I also buy the beans to take home. I would say a good med-full body coffee.
This place is really cozy and has great selections of desserts, although I was disappointed they didnt have any more green tea chocolate chip cookies. We tried the green tea brownie and man, the green tea flavor really stood out and had the right amount of sweetness. The Americano hit the spot and my friends green tea latte tasted not too sweet but was very refreshing. Would totally come here again.
Very popular and very crowded (hard to find a seat.) They dont have espresso drinks, just coffee, that is made to order. But it is the best drip coffee Ive ever had.
Beautiful cup of matcha! Made exceptionally well and of a high grade quality. Pleasantly surprised by this space
The pastries are excellent, they are fresh and tasty. Small place but very good and friendly service. The coffee is very good. I ordered Cappuccino and green tea.
Food, coffee, tea, smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, cookies and more. This place has it all! The iced green tea is superb. I dont drink coffee, but I understand the coffee is great. If youre in the neighbourhood you have to call in!
Tiny location with not much seating, but the coffee is great! We really enjoyed both our iced and hot mochas, excellent quality coffee and chocolate, made perfectly. I wish they had larger size drinks available and service can be a bit slow but is worth the wait. Metered parking was easy to find and they have a few unique desserts I will have to try next time as well.
Cute small coffee shop in little ethiopia. One staff member running the shop, he was friendly and patient while I ordered. I ordered an iced Mocha and can definitely taste the quality in the coffee. a big plus of this place is that it’s very quiet! Usually you are hearing loud blenders and a lot of people coming in and out but here they play piano music and everyone was quiet as well.Other things: Parking was on the street, in the meters starting on Whitaker Ave.16oz Iced Mocha: $4.65They have WiFiCame at 12pm on a Monday.
One of the best egg salad sandwiches Ive ever had. Lovely presentation, delicately crunchy roll. Service a bit standoff-ish.
I dont remember how we found this coffeehouse, but all I remember was, amazing!! My cappuccino was one of the best Ive had in Los Angeles. Smooooooth!! The service here was also excellent. My barista really knew her coffee!! What I also really love about them was they have a nice local vibe, tucked away in the midst of a very busy.
Great coffee shop! Great drinks, food and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend!
If you like ham and chess croissant’s. You have to come here! BEST HAM & CHEESE CROISSANTS!
Great breakfast sandwich and smoothies, great service, and a cozy environment for an early afternoon spot to chill at during the weekdays! Highly recommended
Going against popular opinion but I came here to study with a group of friends. Two out of the three of us ordered a drink. At first the owner seemed okay with it but he became very persistent that we order three drink. We were told we would have to move the spot if we didnt order that last drink. Nice selection of tea. Not enough wall plugs. Would I be back? Maybe. The tea was good. But not if I have to drive out and receive horrible service and if there are not enough wall plugs in a small cramped space.
Paradocs is the best local coffee shop, what a gem. Takka (forgive if I misspelled!) the owner makes every cup with such care and hospitality. He is warm, friendly, and such a great cornerstone for the community. Thank you!!!!
I adore the iced matcha chai. The shop is cute and perfect for staying awhile to study or read. Right in the middle of Little Ethiopia, it’s surrounded by restaurants and antique shops. There’s only street parking and they are closed on Tuesdays, but it’s worth the trip!
What a lovely little spot. Tasty pastries (toddler and I loved the kouign amann) and definitely by far the best chai Ive found in la. Very low key vibe, one small table outside, a few inside, delightful owner (Im guessing?)/operator. If you like matcha, the options are plentiful and well definitely go back for the variety of loose teas.
Such a fun place to visit from being from the Midwest! Definitely get a birthday cake latte!
The coffee and matcha at this place are amazing. Thry have the best matcha pastries in town. I highly recommend the matcha crossaints and brownies.
Awesome atmosphere and wonderful coffee and tea. You can taste the care and devotion that goes into each cup! Also specifically, the matcha cookies and egg sandwiches are my favorite.
