I got my amazing Raleigh road bike from Ride On! I called them first to see what they had in stock and they referred me to the websites of the brands they carry: Giant, Raleigh and Diamondback. I ended up finding the road bike of my dreams on the Raleigh site & told Ride On which one I wanted. They took my height to determine the right size for me and ordered it and assembled it for me (same price as ordering from Raleigh but professionally assembled). The shop is also Black owned, and a worker owned cooperative, so the workers collectively own & operate the business. Added plus: their awesome t-shirts selection! (pictured here)

When I first dropped off my bike to get it assembled, the man we spoke with was friendly and helpful. He told me he would let me know when my bike was finished. A week went by and I heard nothing. I tried contacting the bike shop 4 days in a row and no one answered, no one called back, and I was not able to leave a voice mail because it said it wasnt set up. I finally got a call back almost three weeks later and he stated that my bike had been ready for pick up. He also lost the little reflector piece that hooks on to the bike to use at night. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a reliable bike shop.

They got my bike up and running after I attempted to put it together myself and failed lol. So knowledgeable, and I will be going here from now on. I even got a bicycle pump for a decent price! I love having a local, black-owned bike shop in my neighborhood. I am so excited to start bike riding again. The prices are very reasonable.

Stopped by for some brake cables and housing.. its a bike shop. Brakes are a primary component on any bike except fixed gear of course. But to not have any, none ..its very odd. I wasnt even allowed inside the store. Seems like the shop is more for show than anything. Do not waste your time.

The peopled helping us pulled out every bike we were interested in and let us test ride them all. Even going as far as changing seats and adjusting the handle bars until we found two perfect bikes. Then after we found the perfect bikes, the price could not be beat. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a new bike or just bike accessories. They are going to treat you right.

I went to have my trusty old KHS bike tuned up. I was met outside by a man I think who was the owner, (not too courteous or helpful) told to make an appointment, and returned a week later to drop off my bike because of the back up..After calling and stopping by 2x times and not having my calls returned, (because there was no answering machine set up) I was finally able to retrieve my bike. Its great and the price was fair; thanks, but the customer interaction was very not cool.....

This business is incompetent and unprofessionally run. Do not waste your time.THE SHORT:-Called multiple times unanswered-Told to bring my bike on a day the shop was closed-Told Bike would take 1 day-Never fixed the bike 9 days later-Missed multiple deadlines-Became rude when they failed to meet deadlines-Didnt know which bike was mineTHE LONG:I called for 2 days straight starting AUGUST 10th with no response on the phone, and I couldnt leave a message because their voicemail was full. I emailed them on the AUGUST 14th and got a response from the owner Innis on the AUGUST 16th. I was told to bring my bike on the 24th because they were busy. I agreed because Im local and wanted to support a local business. He told me in the email, it would take 1 day.I brought my bike on a Monday (the AUGUST 24th), and they were closed. Luckily the other owner came in and saw me thru the window. Innis wasnt there and didnt tell his partner I was coming. I drop it off and I get a receipt that says AUGUST 27th for pickup, 3 days instead of 1. I let it slide but I get no call or text 3 days later. I call on the AUGUST 28th and they need a few more hours to get to it. Which means they havent started it yet. I go and pick up my bike and the main reason I dropped it off, stuck seat, wasnt done. Apparently, it wasnt written on the ticket and he would need a solid hour to fix. It was a Friday and said I would pick up on Saturday, he told me hes busy and Tuesday SEPTEMBER 1st would be better. Once again, I let it slide. On Tuesday no phone call and when I call on SEPTEMBER 2nd, and he needs more time to get to it. I HAD ENOUGH so I said I would pick up my bike, he got an attitude and told me if I was going to be like that then I should pick up my bike. So, then I go to pick up my bike and he gives me the wrong one. So even if I let him get to it he would have done the wrong bike. The level incompetence at this shop is atrocious. I wasted 2 weeks of my life trying to support a business in my neighborhood that treats locals terribly. Innis shouldnt be running a business. If you want to support a local bike shop got to Penuel Bicycles on La Brea.

Terrible customer service. Didnt know how mean a bunch of grouchy old men who run a bike shop could be. It was like they have a grudge against young people, and they are overpriced. Not to mention that you cant sit your bike down unless your the person receiving service

I came to this bike shop a while back to get the gear shifter on my beach cruiser replaced, I remember feeling like I was being overcharged because they were telling me cost per foot and all these technical reasons why the line I had wouldn’t work and I’d need a new one, but I didn’t mind because I understand businesses need to make money and I’m glad to patronize. Fast forward about 6-7 months, I have a brand new 4 month old beach cruiser, I jumped off a curb and noticed I busted a spoke, I kept riding for a few days until I could go get it repaired, by then it had 3 broken spokes. This same thing happened to me with my last bike and I took it to “Primos Bike Shop” on western and Vernon, they charged me $15 to replace the spokes and straighten the rim, So I thought I had an idea of what it’s going to cost to get it fixed and the time it’ll take, I decided specifically to go to Ride On and get this fixed because I want business in Leimert to thrive, so I went to Ride On and explained what work I needed done, I asked how much it would cost because I was going to leave the bike and go play the drum circle. Instead of telling me the total I was given an itemization and told that it would cost me $25 to true the rim and that each spoke cost $2, so I said that’s $31 right? And the reply was yes, I was told to come back before 4 when they close, I did and they weren’t done so I left and came back to get my bike, when I go in to pay, the guy says yeah that’s $48.65(something like that I don’t recall the exact number but it was 48 something), and I was like where did that come from what happened to $31? He said $25 for trueing the rim and $3 per spoke..🤔 I said “that still doesn’t add up”, and reminded him of what he said earlier and then he adjusted some stuff and it ended up costing me $38.11, once again I felt like I was getting overcharged but still paid knowing I could’ve went to Primos like I did before I knew of ride on. Now at this point I’m a satisfied customer, my bike is fixed I’m over the cost because I don’t mind supporting local business, so I go riding, the next day I wake up and my tire is flat(for the first time since I’ve had this bike, the day after I get spokes replaced), I call Ride On and let them know what happened they tell me to come back the next day and he’ll take care of it for me. So I did, the guy looked at it and said that he may know what happened but that wasn’t one of “his” inner tubes so he didn’t know for sure and if it happens again come back and he’ll take care of it, but as for this time he charged me about $9 for a new inner tube, once again I leave and go riding..... I wake up getting ready to Ride and my tire is flat again I’m like WTF is going on, at this point I’m out in Santa Monica and didn’t feel like walking my bike back to Ride On from Santa Monica so I stopped by a Perry’s on the beach where they do bike repairs, I explained to the bike tech everything that happened with the spokes and the flats, he removed the tube inspected it and showed me the hole on the inner part of the tube and explained that this hole came from the tube being pinched by the rim, he showed me how the inside of the tire was clean with no holes and he showed me the tape over the spokes on the rim so it wasn’t from the spokes being replaced, he said whoever replaced this inner tube did it without putting a little air in first and that caused it to pinch against the rim and slow leak out overnight. He also told me that the way the person who touched it before him tightened the spokes on the new spokes but not all of them, made other ones have more pressure and some were loose, he didn’t want to charge me more than the rim was worth to work on it. He said these rims new were about $30, so he charged me $16.75 (yes in expensive Santa Monica at Perry’s the same place a burger is $14 by itself) to replace the newly broken spokes, change the inner tube and reinforced the spokes. Two days later on Thursday June 20 I went to Ride On early with the intention of being refunded for the tube I bought and reimbursed
