Food is absolutely delicious!!! I got the deluxe ham and cheese toast as shown in the photo and the bread was soft and warm, melty cheese, all the ingredients on top were fresh and delicious; its not too heavy and perfect for breakfast. We also got the garlic cheese biscuit and it was so fluffy and fragrant, the garlic flavor really coming through. Loved it!! I think the only thing that could make it better is if they sprinkled a bit of rock salt on top to garnish. Im giving them 4 stars solely because the service was really slow, but if youre not in a rush, its definitely worth the wait!
The quality of the food is excellent, but the server was very aloof and unfriendly; I felt unwelcome. I had a piece of sourdough toast with peach jam and butter where the jam was this wondrous, subtly sweet, and bright glaze strewn with succulent sunny bits of authentic fruit, and it was complemented by a savory stain of butter. The bread is decadent and it feels like you’re eating a sugar-less cake that it given the proper sweetness by the jam accompaniment. I also had a cheddar garlic drop biscuit suffused with the aroma of garlic and studded with bits of cheddar that had the perfect amount of sharp tang; the whorls are crispy and the biscuit is a dense delight. But the biscuit wasn’t heated and the server didn’t even ask me if I’d like that. At 1:10pm he told me I had over-stayed my welcome, but I was working and he never gave me a five or ten minute warning nor talked to me at 1pm closing. I felt entrapped in an awkward situation where he’d have the excuse to be passive-aggressive to me. If he gave me a ten minute warning, I would’ve bought a baguette and some sourdough if available and left prior to closing to avoid bothering him. They lost sales because their front of house staff doesn’t have basic social or customer service skills. Also, the seats are very uncomfortable metal contraptions that are small in size with only two plush chairs around a coffee table so you can’t work at a desk. Not a friendly environment to work in or converse at long-term. The products are good, but I don’t feel comfortable dining in here and don’t get the sense it’s a community space.
Had a Dulce de Leches latte and it was absolutely delicious. We also got a brownie and scone. Both were amazing. My favorite breakfast in Long Beach. Will definitely go back when were in town.
All the drinks and food are very high quality. The cinnamon buns are amazing. A must try. And a nice vibe to come chill and have a latte and a small bite.
Great coffee shop. The bake side of the business is pretty barren compared with their competition. Wouldnt come here if your looking to snack on something with your coffee, their likely sold out.
TENS TENS TENS ACROSS THE BOARD. These are some DAMN impeccable baked goods. Whether you’re looking for the FLUFFIEST loaf of sourdough or the MOST tender sugar cookies. Nothing is too cloying, everything is flavored SO well, and naturally it seems. I’m surprised this bakery hasn’t taken over the world.
Good coffee amazing baked goods. I wont say the coffee there is amazing but its a satisfying cup. The baked goods however are quite amazing. Perfectly balanced meaning no too sweet, fresh tasting and a pretty great variety.
The best scones Ive ever had. Not like the dry tasteless ones Ive had before. These are moist and come in different flavors ... coffee cake, choc chip, cranberry and more. Excellent biscuits too.
Great breakfast bagel sandwiches. Good coffee. Average service.
So Saints and Sinners is a nice little addition to Pine Ave, located across from Rite Aid pharmacy. They offer a large selection of pasteries, cookies, and breads, all freshly made. There is also a coffee bar with pour-overs and other specialty drinks.All-in-all its a nice place, plenty of seating and options for nibbling. My main complaint is the simple lack of personality! With a name like Saints and Sinners, you could do SO MUCH creatively with the brand! From silly names of your pastries, to interior decoration (which this bakery lacks significantly), the possibilities are endless for crafting a unique and memorable brand. As it stands, the interior is stark and minimal. Certainly not unpleasant, but its such a blank canvas that it leaves no impression! The employees were very kind, and what Ive ordered has always been delicious, but I am afraid a bit more personality might be needed to survive on Pine Ave.... I hope I am wrong!!
I havent had a chance to try any of their cakes, but dont let Bakeshop fool you, they do more than custom cakes and cookies. They have a great coffee menu and they bake excellent pastries. The scones are soft and moist (Im not a fan of dry hard scones) and the flavors are great. Their bagel sandwiches are amazing too. I would definitely check this place out. Im normally there a couple of times a week.
Absolutely delicious! Coming off of a very hectic couple of days, I decided to treat myself to this place. Fresh baked EVERYTHING (the bagel was an actual bagel! - Not just round bread like many). Coffee was fantastic, and super nice people. This will be my daily spot.
Surprise find in downtown Long Beach! Beautiful cakes, breads, scones, and great coffee. We came from out of town for a gymnastics competition and ordered cookies for the team gymnasts and parents and they loved them! Staff was super helpful, nice, and knowledgeable about what to order for a team of girls. We have another gym competition in February and we will definitely order again. I took a loaf of bread to go, and I was impressed by the quality of ingredients and how fresh it tasted. I asked about breakfast or sandwiches and they told me they just opened so Im hoping they add more to menu before we return.
Their cinnamon rolls are amazing. I also ordered a cake, it turned out even better than I imagined both in look u0026 taste. The owner and baristas are nice too. Im a huge fan of this place! They are very consistent, everything Ive tried has been quality.
So I really wanted a chocolate chip scone and I thought they were open, according to this sign posted they should have been for take out right?I dont know if they truly are open or not.I dont know if they only do phone order or online orders. If they do, a sign would help, that way i know where to go. I got here at 8:08 am (its Friday today), but everything was off and closed. If you were thinking of coming here, I recommend to just driving by first to make sure they are open first in the first place.
This place is delicious! I got an oat latte and a blueberry scone. Im happy they carry oat milk, as thats not so common but its closest to regular milk in my opinion -which I cant have too much of anymore. Beans are sourced from The Boy and the Bear, a good roastery from the next town over, and the latte was excellently textured. The scone was a perfect balance, being light, slightly flakey, lightly sweet, and not too moist. Perfect for dunking. The price for coffee is about what youd expect for most newer coffee shops, but the pastries are affordably priced, a nice surprise. The shop itself is clean with a nice layout and plenty of seating. There are no gluten free options, and thats the only reason Im knocking off a star. Id like to be able to bring my fiancee here but theres nothing she could eat. However, the place is new, and maybe that will be incorporated at a later point.
Such a cute place. Friendly nice and excellent baked goods!!
Ive only been here once, but we immediately loved it. The baked goods are tasty, the coffee is really terrific, and the staff was nice and helpful. It wasnt busy when we came through on a Friday morning but it definitely should get more traffic if folks dont know about it!
Their pastries are good. They also make cakes, cookies and cake pops for events. I ordered a cake for my sons bday party and it was perfectly done. It was affordable. This is a family owned business from my understanding.
In a world full of generic coffee shops with the same alternatives, delicious and creative options separate Saints and sinners from the competition. I had a blackberry scone infused with Thyme. It was delicious. Give them a try.
Great coffee and baked goods. Everything tastes fresh; definitely have to try the lattes and baked goods.
Needed a great coffee shop on this side of town and this one is amazing. You can tell how much thought and love goes into the pastries, as well as the crafted drinks. Great variety of plant based options as well.
Its all pretty damned good, coffee is great and the baristas are excellent if youre not just a drip coffee guy like me. For example, when a coffee house is out of drip and wants to make me an Americano I am all about the, no way see ya later, I never like them. So near closing one Saturday, barista says hey, free if you dont like it. It was awesome, I occasionally even order one from them now so what these guys do with a cappuccino is an art form. The baked goods on the other hand are beyond describable, they are that good. I hate that they are close to me, its costing me, like 200 bucks a month.
So, we never actually made it inside bc when we arrived at 9am the closed sign was still on the door. It did not appear there was anyone preparing to open up. The place was dark and there wasnt any movement inside. We were meeting ppl there so we were happy to wait a few minutes before upending or plans and finding another spot. Then, someone emerged from the kitchen. We think okay, things are happening. The guy looks over at us in an irritable manner and turns away from us and keeps doing what hes doing. At the very least he could have threw us a quick smile, gestured to us to hold on, show us that hed be with us soon, or something, but he did none of this. We didnt feel valued as patrons, so we decided to find someplace we would feel valued. Which wasnt far away.I was planning to make this a monthly meeting place for my social group, bc I was told their pastries are really good and they dont only use single use cups, but the opening associate lefts is with a bad taste in our mouths.
Bought a cinnamon roll, and it had a gray hair on top. I went back, and the guy didnt seem to care. Offered me another one, I said no, and he didnt even offer me a refund. I just paid $5 for their nastiness. Glad I didnt eat it.
Unique coffee drinks with a variety of milk options. Tasty desserts! I especially enjoyed the tiny snicker doodles and salted caramel cookies.
Great desserts, lovely display, and dog friendly.
Good coffee. Hit and miss on straight espresso. Small selection of eats. Opens late and Closes early.
The baker makes the most consistently delicious and beautiful baked goods. The coffee is also delicious.
Their baked goods are legit. Go early because they sell out of a lot of items
Poor service, bagel was greasy and gross. I ended up just throwing it away.
Espresso needed a little more flavor. And it was pretty bare as far as decor goes, but it was overall a good shop.
Ordered custom pie for Thanksgiving. Awesome.
Personable yet professional-absolutely superior cafe service!Fairly new establishment - people need to hear about this little spot of serenity.
Everything here is so delicious. Service is also awesome. Cannot say enough good things about them!
