I love that Angel Concept is a non-profit, empowering women who have been out of the work force, by teaching them a trade: working in retail. And to top that, 5% of the purchase goes to one of selected charities of choice, such as Safe House. The shop is cozy and fun, with new merchandise upstairs and donated items for sale downstairs.
So happy that this establishment takes the safety of the community seriously. They are very courageous because its not easy to do the right thing and then get blasted by bad reviews. They are a great non-profit with a dedicated staff.
This sweet little establishment has all kinds of divine little chachkies for your home or for gifts. They had some especially cool leather fox purses which were dainty and adorable! I was also impressed that they had an excellent display of Christmas lights as trees - always a fine touch in a store like this. There was also an excellent area that had childrens gifts - so if youve got a niece or a nephew or a grand niece or a grand nephew or a great great grandniece or a great great-grand nephew or etc you can certainly find some excellent gifts for them here!
Fantastic, charming little shop, theres a lot of cute hand-crafted things to gift at very reasonable prices. I went in December where ornaments and cute holiday items were plentiful. The owner and staff were very warm. They kindly let us in to shop ten minutes before closing, and while we were there dealt with an aggressive anti-masker with absolute poise and professionalism. If youre in the area Id highly recommend dropping in!
Beautiful shop to support, well priced! Plus a secret shop downstairs with great resale items and they donate part of your purchase to a woman’s Charity of your choice- amazing.
Used to love this shop and what they stand for, but they’ve lost their mind during COVID. I am all for COVID restrictions, but there has to be some common sense going on.They are complying with the state mandate wearing a mask, which I absolutely support. They however want you to use THEIR unmarked hand sanitizer bottle upon entering. First, I have a real problem you requiring me to put anything on my skin and I have an even bigger problem you are requiring me to put something on out of an unmarked bottle. For the sake of wanting to shop I said whatever and complied. The problem came with my 18 month old. The lady asked to put it on her. I said no, she has highly sensitive skin and reacts to almost everything. Her follow up was then to make sure my toddler touched nothing while in the store. I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to have a toddler not touch anything in the child’s section of a store, but it’s not worth the battle. I choose to leave instead which is unfortunate because I was going there to specifically buy kids stuff from them. It’s just sad they are letting fear drive their decision making instead of using the guidance of the medical community which 1) recommends hand washing as the best method. So if you are really concerned set up a washing station. And 2) says if that’s not available they recommend 60% alcohol hand sanitizer. Key word being recommended not required to both of those scenarios. This 5 year customer won’t be back.
I love the variety of gift items they sell, as well as inspirational books! They also have a basement bargain boutique with second-hand items at super low prices! Awesome little shop!
So fun! Love the decor, I didn’t see anybody in there though so couldn’t check out
When we walked in we were asked to put hand sanitizer on and I politely declined as we just washed our hands after leaving a restaurant before coming in the shop & because I declined we were asked to leave.I have my own hand sanitizer thank you, your loss
Large variety of clothing, gifts, and fun trinkets! Happy welcoming staff!
I have bought several items at this store. The workmanship on everything is first class! I love this shop. And I love that they help several different charities. Keep up the good work!
BUYER BEWARE 🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫🚫If I could put zero stars I would! Do NOT shop at this store! After my mom called me almost in tears, after how she was treated by the founder of this nonprofit. She was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and my mother! My mother went into the store today to possibly make an exchange or get a refund for a purchases (beanie and scarf set) she had made a week ago. The beanie was fraying a bit and was too small. So my mom told the cashier she had a return, the cashier told another lady and my mom was asked to go all the way to the back of the store. As soon as she got to the back my mom showed the associate the hat her response was “it didnt look like it was fraying” My mom said “well it’s still too small and does fit my head”. Another woman who “apparently” is the “founder”started saying in a VERY LOUD VOICE “we don’t take returns, it’s on your receipt“ repeatedly... my mother hadn’t even gotten a word out and the founder said “you’re asking for something you don’t deserve”... my mom politely asked “ma’am can you stop yelling” the founder then proceeds to get upset that my mom called her ma’am. She then gets up and starts saying “GOOD BYE, GOOD BYE”. My mom has been a repeat customer, but has never returned anything before and no idea this policy existed. The founder of this “nonprofit” behavior today is unacceptable, unprofessional and uncalled for! We will NEVER step foot in this store again!!!!
I accidentally broke a wooden ornament in store- pure accident as the worker saw, thou said ‘because we are a non profit you will have to buy that.’ We kindly suggested it was an easy fix with glue and said ‘oh I’m well aware, but you’re going to have to buy it now.’ With this being a non profit I really was shocked by this woman’s attitude I definitely won’t be going back. ‘Angel concept’... not so angelic over accidents.
I just encountered the craziest, rudest cashier I have ever encountered in my life at Angel Concepts! She had very very short dark hair, kinda looked like a wig hat actually and black glasses. She was no angel, for sure! I have been shopping at A.C. for years, but alas, I will not return. This woman seems very mentally ill, angry and is very aggressive and for that I feel sorry for her, but Im not interested in being treated badly when Im shopping. I did not deserve it. Too bad for them. Its hard for these types of boutique stores to survive, which is why I support them, but they are really making it even harder on themselves by driving their customers away. Its a great idea and wonderful to give back to the community, but what awfully poor implementation. Tsk Tsk Angry Concepts. Oh and I can guarantee you that the 5 star reviews are fake.
I just had a horrible experience in this store. The owner was extremely rude and wouldnt even allow me to talk. I had gone in to return a scarf and hat set not knowing you cannot return items. The hat was starting to fray at the back and was also too small. It still had the tags on. I have shopped here before and like their stuff and that they help people. But the way the owner talked to me was out of line. She told me I was asking for something that I dont deserve. Not even allowing me to explain. I was willing to get a credit or exchange what I had bought even for less than i had paid but I couldnt even get a sentence out. She kept repeating very loudly that it says no returns on the receipt and there is a sign at the checkout. She then just said goodbye loudly and in my face a couple of times. Wow what a way to treat people. This could have been handled so differently, without yelling or being abusive. Obviously the owner has no customer service experience whatsoever. This upset me so much and I will never go back . And no one there ever told me you couldnt return or exchange an item any time I shopped. I actually felt threatened by her as she followed me out of the store and wanted to know my name. I will continue to give to charities in other ways not there.
Unique gift ideas. Reasonable prices. Nice way to support a local business and know that a portion of your purchase is helping one of many great charities to choose from. Will definitely be back.
I chose to donate several new with tags skirts and dresses to them. They were incredibly rude while trying to direct me to they ally to drop off. When I asked if the girl could just meet me out front she just rolled her eyes. Highly disappointed.
This store is amazing they take women and help them get back into the workforce and pay them to work here you can also donate a percent of whatever you spend to a specific charity
Cute store that has unique things for yourself or to gift! They also donate 5% to different organizations! More of a reason to shop here!
A great selection of wares, but an even better mission!! I love being able to help not only the women training, but the community at large with the 5% donation to a charity across the Denver metro area.
I love this place! I shop here all the time, even when Im not buying anything because they always have the coolest stuff. I find gifts for everyone I know constantly, including myself!Im confused at some of the reviews about poor customer service. Ive never experienced or seen anything like that and Im in the store like once a week (I work around the conrer).I even had a return one time .They typically do not take returns, they are a non-profit and most of their stuff is consignment or local artist stuff so that make sense (you dummies with the beanie scarf situation lol) but I purchased something that was defective. They were more than kind about it, exchanged the product and apologized for the inconvenience. No issues, the three different ladies I delt with were all sweet as can be.I always justify shopping here because they are non profit and you even get to pick a charity to donate a portion of your purchase to! So Im doing good deeds when I buy those leggings or coffee mug! 😆
One of my favorite places to get unique gifts.
This store has a huge variety of great items to shop for. Adult items and kid items too.
I have frequently bought gifts at this store, but today I experienced very rude clerks. It was such a bad experience, I wont go back after years and hundreds of dollars spent there. Extremely poor customer service. I will never be yelled at again nor in my face for trying to exchange a gift. I certainly did not deserve that kind of treatment. Very rude first minute I walked in.
Great store with lots of fun things, for yourself or gifts. Non-profit that lets you pick where the profit from your sale go.
Unique gifts a wonderful way to assist individuals in need through a donation.
Great place to buy birthday gifts &help women gain job skills. Yay! Yay! Sisters:)
Bad experience - I wont be back. Despite the good things they claim, I was pretty appalled at their customer service
Sue has done an amazing job here! Great clothing and gifts at great prices, and its a non-profit supporting at-risk women!
Favorite store in Littleton, CO.
